Crohn s Disease Analysis
Crohn s Disease is an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). It is a disease that causes
inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. The gastrointestinal tract includes the oral cavity,
esophagus, liver, stomach, small intestine, terminal ileum, large intestine/colon, rectum, and
anus. Crohn s Disease affects thousands of people in America. Crohn s disease was first
discovered in 1932 by three doctors named Burrill Crohn, Leon Ginzberg, and Gordon D.
Oppenheimer. The Crohn s Colitis Foundation of America (2014) declared these doctors
collected data from 14 patients with symptoms of abdominal cramps, diarrhea, fever, and weight
loss, which showed that the symptoms were not the result of tuberculosis or any other known
disease. They described a new disease entity, which was first called regional ileitis, and later,
Crohn s disease (p. 7). Even though Crohn s Disease was discovered over 80 years ago, there is
no cure, but there is constantly more new information being found out about this disease. There is
no known cause of Crohn s Disease. Some key factors in the development of Crohn s Disease are

This disease can be overwhelming physically, emotionally, and financially. Crohn s Disease is
very unpredictable so those who live with it have to be careful from day to day and make sure to
listen closely to their bodies. According to the Crohn s Colitis Foundation of America (2014)
living with this disease can also be very expensive. Direct medical costs include expenses for
hospitalizations, physician services, prescription drugs, over the counter drugs, skilled nursing
care, diagnostic procedures, and other healthcare services. Indirect costs are the value of lost
earnings or productivity. Indirect costs also include the value of leisure time lost (p.19). However,
the good thing is that patients can still lead a happy and productive

Ab House Construction
In South Dakota there are several codes and regulations that are specific for the climate and
geographic features in that state. most of the codes south dakota uses are part of the international
codes. But, the state and towns can add to the codes if they feel necessary. (2015 international codes

correctly in South Dakota. Including, foundation, venting, interior walls, and ceilings, exterior

The most common home that is developed has either a gable roof or a hip roof. A gable roof has a
ridge in the center of the roof and slopes downwards in two directions. This type is easy to
develop and can be used for almost any type of building. Gable roofs look like an A after
constructed. Hip roofs are different than gable roofs. A hip roof had four sides that go down in
each direction connecting to the top of the wall.(Constructionknowledge.com) Building a hip
roof will use more materials and increase time. When constructing the roof you wanna end in the
center and start on the top of the walls. When constructing the exterior part of the roof there are
numerous ways to do it. There s asphalt shingle, slate, metal roofing, and much more. Slate roofs
are individual smooth flat pieces that of rock that come in colors such as gray, red, green, and
more. Although slate roofs are very durable and fire resistant they are also very expensive and
heavy.(By Jeannie Matteucci, top 6 roofing materials) The most commonly used exterior
roofing method in North America is asphalt shingling. It is an inexpensive and fairly easy to
install method. There are two ways asphalt shingles are made. Either an organic base or a fiber
glass base. The organic base shingles are made from recycled woods fragments or waste paper. This
kind of shingle is more durable and is extremely good. Also, it is better for the cold

The Role Of Men And Women By Rousseau
One of the Western writers who support this gender oppressive system is Rousseau. For Rousseau,
everything man and woman have in common belongs to the species, and everything which
distinguishes them belongs to the sex [21]. According to him, men and women are not equal. He
writes in his famous passage in Emile:
In what they have in common, they are equal. Where they differ, they are not comparable. A perfect
woman and a perfect man ought not to resemble each other in mind any more than in looks, and
perfection is not susceptible of more or less. In the union of the sexes, each contributes equally to
the common aim, but not in the same way. From this diversity arises the first assignable difference
in the moral relations of the two sexes.(emile)
Rousseau believed that woman is created be in subjection to a man, and his judgment, and she will
never be free to set her own opinion above his. As men and women are not, and should not be
equal, it follows that, axiomatically, they should not have the same ... Show more content on

Neither had it previously been important for the lowest classes, who ground out subsistence in sites
of production, where a distinction between public and private was still rudimentary. (mohja 140))
Obviously, Rousseau s thoughts on Western women, and their new home, were affected by the
model of the passive secluded Muslim woman and her harem. (mohja) Rousseau s dream of
domesticity depends on the harem slave, (mohja) as every domestic issue, he prescribed in his
book, from the kitchen garden to breastfeeding (Emile, IV, 346) was meant to keep women in that
sanctum (mohja).Like the harem, this middle class home, which presupposes privacy, is

Conflict Themes In Daedalus And Icarus
The Greek myths, Phaethon and Daedalus and Icarus, both come to tragic ends due to pride.
Similar characterization, imagery, and conflict themes are used majorly within the myths by the
authors. Phaethon and Icarus are very prideful youths. Their prideful disregard of the warnings
from their older and wiser fathers quickly lead to disastrous consequences. First, the
characterization in Daedalusand Icarus represents the theme of the myths. Daedalus is worried
about Icarus, which shows his concern as a father when he says, Above all, don t fly too high! Don
t fly too close to the sun! (pg. 61) Daedalus concern as a father represents characterization because
it is one of his many character traits. Icarus may not have listened to this advice but, it did have an
impact on him that made him remember what Daedalus said at the last second before he fell to his
doom. In Phaethon, Epaphus can represent the theme of the text in characterization because he was
keeping his pride. Within his boastfulness, knowing he ll get a reaction out of Phaethon, he says, I
sit on Olympus with him (Zeus), and he teaches me things and gives me presents. (pg. 49) Epaphus
trait of boastfulness sets Phaethon on his own prideful path as they argue about their fathers
greatness. Phaethon s prideful exaggerations and lies cause him to carelessly set out on his journey
to the Eastern Palace to see his father. It also starts the rising action of the story. All from the
characterization of

Project Approach Advantages And Disadvantages
The project approach enables children to emerge in projects which they are interested in, in
order to encourage them to raise and ask questions while teachers will provide materials and
allow children to find answers by themselves rather than telling them the answer directly. For
example, if children wonder where breads come from, or how they are made, teachers may
arrange a field trip where they can find the answers by asking an experienced baker from a bakery,
or staff from the supermarket, and such. Children are also encouraged to use modern technology
like the internet to search for answers under adult supervision or through the traditional way of
going to the library and look for relevant books. A project investigation promotes in depth... Show
more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main challenge of the project approach is that teachers need to know children very well in
order to be able to understand and fulfill their curiosity. It requires a lot of time and dedications to
learn and understand each child s individual strength and interests. Another challenge is part of the
planning. Although there is no assigned topic as it is based on children s interest, the teacher has
to make sure there is unity and cohesiveness which every child in class can appreciate at the same
time and not only favoring a certain child s interest. As various interests are developed, teachers
have to keep the communication focused on the value of each group s equal contribution in terms
of knowledge and understanding of the chosen topic by all children in class.
To conclude, despite the challenges project approach face, it is a great way to develop in depth
thinking while engaging the heart and minds of young children. Project work offers a wide variety
of opportunities for young children s ideas to be appreciated, their creativity to be encouraged, their
interests to be fostered, and for their learning needs to be met in order to develop a life long love of
learning and understand the interconnected relationship of all things. These are the unique
characteristics of project

Manzana Insurance Fruitvale Branch (Abridged)
Harvard Business School
Executive Summary
Fruitvale s core management problem is the low performance due to an unacceptable long
turnaround times (TAT). Especially because of the late Renewals many of FruitvaleВ
ґs customers
are turning to its major competitor Golden Gate. The operating performance needs to be improved
by eradicating the bottleneck in Underwriting. This will be achieved by restructuring and
simplifying the process. Through our solution we are going to achieve a new TAT of 0,518 days
(3:53 hours). Thereby we hope to recapture the lost market share and satisfy our customers. In
average all daily incoming insurance requests will be processed in an extremely ... Show more

An UT will therefore underwrite two requests. After underwriting both each team member will
rate one of the two requests. It is important that the DCs distribute similar requests in terms of
rating time to one certain UT. Due to the fusion of step two and three 25% (time savings in
writing and getting into the case) or more of rating time will be saved. In order to stay within a
save margin we reduced the weighted average rating time by 25% and added this to the
weighted average time of underwriting. We divided the weighting time of the first request lying
on the desk while the second is being processed on both requests. In average 12 requests will be
processed by the UTs every 109.6 minutes. Every 54.8 minutes (109.6/2 min) 6 requests can be
processed by the policy writing department. Hence the average service rate in step two and three is
the same. This would also increase productivity by decreasing queuing time.
Including all these changes our calculations lead to a TAT of 3:53 hours (see Apendix)
We will not set priorities on certain products (RUNs, RERUNs, RAPs, RAINs). We will rather
implement FIFO for all products, independent of the profit generated. In order to motivate the
employees to do so Salary/Plus can set incentives by rewarding an increase of the weighted
average time needed to process a request. This is also a very fair solution with regard to the clients.

Virginia Woolf The Moth
The Death of the Moth by Virginia Woolf
Death is a difficult subject for anyone to speak of, although it is a part of everyday life. In
Virginia Woolf s The Death of the Moth , she writes about a moth flying about a windowpane, its
world constrained by the boundaries of the wood holding the glass. The moth flew, first from one
side, to the other, and then back as the rest of life continued ignorant of its movements. At first
indifferent, Woolf was eventually moved to pity the moth. This story shows that life is as strange
and familiar as death to us all. I believe this story was well written and will critique the symbolism,
characters, and the setting.
Woolf uses symbolism in her essay when she speaks of the moth and... Show more content on

This symbolism Woolf applies to everyday human life, making us understand that death will all
happen to us one day, when it is our time. There is no escaping death when it comes for us.
The character of the moth and the way that Woolf s story unfolds makes you, as a reader, feel as
if you are there actually watching the moth die. Her descriptions of the moth s flight and the
struggle against death as he lived his life that day involves you in the mourning of someone or
something you love dying. You feel every movement that Woolf saw in the moth s life that day by
reading this essay. As Woolf describes how the moth flew vigorously to one corner of his
compartment, and after waiting there a second, flew across to the other, you can feel the moth s
movements (1178).
In Woolf s essay, the battle between life and death is somehow seen as both pathetic and noble.
Pathetic because death will always win regardless the desire for life; but noble in how one faces
death on our back, defeated, or on our feet, and in dignity. Woolf states one could only watch the
extraordinary efforts made by those tiny legs against an oncoming doom which could, had it
chosen, have submerged an entire city, not merely a city, but masses of human beings; nothing, I
knew, had any chance against death and shows the moth s courageous journey into death (1179).
As I looked at the dead moth, this minute wayside triumph of so great a force over so mean

The Disappearance Do Not Write Here Have you ever heard of the Mafia? Do you know what they

Hoffa was born to a poor coal miner in 1913. Born in 1913 to a poor coal miner in Brazil, Indiana,
Jimmy Hoffa proved a natural leader in his youth. (History.com) This quote is helpful because it
states what Hoffa grew up with. Hoffa had started a labor strike at the age of 20 years. At the age
of 20, he helped organize a labor strike in Detroit, and remained an advocate for downtrodden
workers for the rest of his life. (History.com) This quote ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hoffa had been on the phone with his wife the night he disappeared. On this day 40 years ago,
former Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa called his wife, Josephine, from a pay phone in
Bloomfield Township to say he had been stood up at an afternoon meeting with two mobsters.
(usatoday.com) This quote digs right into the passage. One theory states that the Mafia killed Hoffa.
The main one presented to a grand jury was that the Mafia killed to prevent him from disclosing
mob infiltration of the Teamsters, including its tapping into the union s pension fund to finance
its rackets. (usatoday.com) This quote proves that Hoffa was important because people were
involved with the grand jury! Investigators believe that no one will be blamed for Hoffa s death.
The list of people who have reliable information is really short. You could probably count them
on one hand with a couple fingers left over. I think it s extremely unlikely that there will be any
new developments in the case. (usatoday.com) This quote leaves you on a cliff hanger. In
conclusion, it is not proved that the Mafia killed Hoffa. Investigators are still searching. Have you
learned more than what was known at the beginning of this passage? Since reading this passage,
you know that more has been stated and learned. In conclusion, Hoffa has not yet been found for
40 years. People still search for him to this day. Throughout all of this,

Literary Devices In Llake By William Blake
Jerusalem by William Blake, the title of this poem, references the city of Jerusalem. The holy
land for the Christian and Islamic religion. William Blake was religious during his lifetime (as it
showed in many of his poems) and it was said that he had visions of god and archangels in his
childhood. So as simple as the title may seem, it symbolizes the ideas that Blake had towards
religion. Blake might also talk about how England invaded Jerusalem, and it would depend on his
viewpoint, if he thinks of it positively, or something that goes against his beliefs. It could also be
an ode to Jerusalem, as previously mentioned, William Blake was very religious and this poem
could demonstrate his appreciation towards God.

Facts About The Best Evidence Rule
The best evidence rule is a rule that applies when someone wants to admit some form of
evidence that is a document but the actual original document is not available for admission.
Unfortunately, when this happen the party that wants to admit the evidence has to give an
acceptable excuse to why the original documents are unavailable or absent. Therefore, the courts
has to decide if the excuse is acceptable and allow the party to use their secondary evidence in
order to prove their case or that the content of the document in order for it to be admissible as

Therefore, the U.S. court system implemented this rule but if one party suspects that the copy or

The rationale behind its application was to find the best evidence within a case but due to fraud
and the mishandling of evidence this rule was created. It helps to prevent anyone from trying to
mislead or even lie about a certain piece of evidence. Furthermore, it eliminates anyone from
having to guess if in fact that the evidence is from the actual original copy of if some part of the
evidence had been changed at some point in order to get a guilty or innocent verdict in the case.

Examples Of What Motivates Terrorists
What Motivates Terrorists?
Abstract
This paper will seek to understand what really motivates terrorists to commit the acts that make
them so infamous. We are assuming that the chief motivating factor behind the decisions of
terrorist organizations is the political outcome of their acts balanced against the risk and collateral
damage inflicted to achieve this end. We will also weigh in the appeal of terrorism on potential
recruits in weak states and determine how the motivations of the group become the motivation of
the individual and how this benefits the decentralized organization of terrorist organizations like al
Qaeda.

We assume the political options have been weighed and other political avenues are blocked
leaving terrorists the only option left of resorting to the bombing of innocents. This marks the logic
of terrorist groups as one of consequence. They have been made to resort to the decision to harm
innocents. Al Qaeda loves to play the you brought this upon yourselves card to justify their actions.
The basic human rights are obviously violated by terrorist groups. The right to live free and
without fear is taken from the innocent when a bomb explodes in their midst. This kind of
collateral damage is justifiable by terrorists. The innocent become objects rather than human beings.
The terrorist to meet their political agendas uses these objects. In being treated as an object, the
innocent victim is worse off than the (alleged) guilty victim. Insofar as the latter is judged to have
done a wrong, he is thought of as a human (Fotion, 1981).
These groups advocate that the loss of human rights for some will result in the respect of human
rights for all. Essentially and end to war and a world ran by sharia. Even if their claims of
unavoidable collateral damage were justifiable, that is not enough to make terrorism itself justified.
The argument exists that terrorists actually do not achieve their political goals by attacking

2015 at 90 years old, realized minor advances for women, yet neglected to secure the key privileges
of Saudi Arabiasubjects to free expression, affiliation and assembly. The nation regularly sparks
overall shock for its restraint of fundamental flexibilities and oppression of political adversaries and
human rightsactivists. The issue in Saudi Arabia is that the legal framework is utilized as a device
against the individuals who need more opportunity. In Saudi Arabia, there is the supposed religious
police, whose part is to discover human rights seekers and flexibility contenders and rebuff them.
Additionally, there are high courts, which do not work like in Western nations and they are not
accountable for ensuring the security of rights, but rather ensuring that disciplines are completed.
There are additional reports expressing that numerous individuals who are detained, regularly
without being charged, are likewise tormented, as the degree is to mortify them and make them
endure. Detainees are likewise tormented in light of the fact that the Saudi Arabian legitimate
framework depends on admissions. This is a gross infringement of worldwide principles,
considering the way that Saudi Arabia intentionally

Argument Against Native Sovereignty in Canda Essay
This paper supports Thomas Flanagan s argument against Native sovereignty in Canada; through an
evaluation of the meanings of sovereignty it is clear that Native sovereignty can not coexist with
Canadian sovereignty. Flanagan outlines two main interpretations of sovereignty. Through an
analysis of these ideas it is clear that Native Sovereignty in Canadacan not coexist with Canadian
sovereignty.
The first interpretation of sovereignty that is examined by Flanagan views sovereignty in an
international sense. Sovereignty for these leaders means gaining more international power and
acceptance. Flanagan argues that major international bodies such as the United Nations will be
accepting such an attempt at sovereignty (71). As the second ... Show more content on

Flanagan s analysis of Native sovereignty internationally is effectively argued. International
organizations such as the World Trade Organization and United Nations would be hesitant to accept
sovereignty of Aboriginal people. Although it is commonly known that many bands within Canada
have access to significant natural resources the majority do not. Flanagan is very direct in stating
that (outside of transfer payments from the government of Canada which would presumably stop to
a sovereign nations) most bands are very weak economically (73). It would be extremely difficult
therefore to afford to send delegates to these international bodies. Without significant monetary
support no sovereign state can be involved in significant international organizations. Flanagan also
soundly refutes the idea of a united Aboriginal sovereign state. Most Aboriginals would likely
agree the greatest evil committed against them by European settlers has been the attempts of
assimilation. By gaining sovereignty they would be free from these attempts, at least in theory.
However in order to develop a significant voice working as one would result into a similar
problem. As mentioned above language, religion and other major difference would make a union
extremely difficult. Therefore with these issues present it would not be possible for native
sovereignty to coexist with Canadian sovereignty.
Flanagan examines sovereignty as originally defined by philosophers; this definition defines

Omni Hotel Narcissism
Narcissism can be a major issue in the business world getting in the way of someone doing a
good job. Those that tend to be arrogant, require excessive admiration, have a magnificent sense
of self importance, and a sense of entitlement (Robbins and Judge, 2009). The executive chef of
The Pointe Restaurant in the Omni Hotel Charlottesville had a great sense of self worth. The
presentation states that the perfection error is perceiving we are better than we really are (Lesson
2, 2016). The Chef was arrogant when it came to thinking everyone had to listen to him and only
his ideas mattered. The narcissist attitude of thinking everyone existed for the Chefs benefit began
to get in the way of others participating and doing their job correctly. The chef was not a great
leader and his attitude would get in the way causing employee morale to decrease.

Employees began to lose interest in their job causing there to be higher turnover and dissatisfied

satisfied with their job may tend to check out causing the company to suffer do to un happy
employees. The presentation states that Attitude Event Theory determines our job performance
(Lesson 2, 2016). This is true in that the chef was narcissistic and this caused the attitudes of
employees to change affecting job performance. When others look down upon the work you do and
show no appreciation the employee engagement decreases. Narcissism gets in the way of allowing
those in management roles to encourage employees to do a better job. Rather than praise an

Essay on Hotspur as Tragic Hero of Henry IV
Hotspur as Tragic Hero of Henry IV
In Shakespeare s Henry IV Part One, the characters many different conceptions of honor govern
how they respond to situations. Each character s conception of honor has a great impact on the
character s standing after the play. For instance, Falstaff survived because he dishonorably faked his
own death, and his untrue claim that he was the one who killed Hotspur may get him a title and
land. On the other hand, Hotspur lies dead after losing a duel for honor. Hotspur, who is in many
ways the ideal man by the standards of his time, is killed by his lust for honor. In creating Hotspur,
Shakespeare has created a variation on the tragic hero of other works: the stubborn tragic hero, who,

In this he is similar to other famous tragic heroes. Oedipus was king at the opening of the play
Oedipus Rex, and Odysseus was returning from a great military conquest that had been won
with an idea that was at least partly his. In addition, Hotspur experiences the traditional rise and
fall sequence of the tragic hero. As Hotspur s plot against the King unfolds, it appears that he has
as allies all the forces of the men who were earlier named as fighting England s wars, and the
King does not even have his son. Here Hotspur hits his peak, just as Odysseus returning from
victory at Troy was at his peak as he started the journey home. Shakespeare packs almost all the
bad news Hotspur will receive into a single scene, telling us that many of Hotspur s allies have
fallen out of the scene and describing the King s forces and reinforcements, including Hal s
joining Henry. This is in the style of the fall of the tragic hero, and follows the pattern set by
Odysseus sudden shipwreck and Oedipus sudden understanding of what he is. To complete the
picture, there is what might have been. Just as Oedipus might have turned back from his quest for
knowledge at any point, so Hotspur had several clear opportunities to turn back, even at
advantage. For instance, while the message carried by Worcester is altered, the message Blunt
took back to the King was not changed, and could have been an offer of peace, on Hotspur s terms.
In addition, it is Hotspur who pushes

The Importance Of Marketing Channels And Distribution
What is the importance of Marketing channels and distribution? Marketing channels has been used
in business operations for a long time. A marketing channel is made by the people, organizations,
and activities necessary to transfer the ownership of goods from the point of production to the point
of consumption. It is the way products and services get to the end user, the consumer; and is also
known as a distributionchannel. Distribution channels is a network of firms that are interconnected
in their quest to provide sellers a means of infusing the marketplace with its goods and buyers
purchasing of those goods. (Iacobucci, 2013) Distribution is one of the most important features that
one must consider in undertaking even a simple marketingchannel. Distribution and Marketing
channels are very important because they are the ones who help us find the products and services
that we greatly need. (Retrieve from Importance of Marketing) Today, electronic delivery sends

The Positive Aspects Of Slavery In The South
During this period , slavery was a big thing , some people did not know how to feel about it ,
others liked slavery and others were against it . People had a change of attitude towards it at
times. The south had a positive attitude towards it, they liked having slaves because they made
profit out of them at times. The north did not really like slavery, they had many reasons not to
just like the south had their reasons to like it. In the lower south, cotton was its main crop. The
south liked having the slaves because they would make them work to pick out the cotton. When
the slaves did not work as hard as they were supposed to they got treated awfully . Although
plantation owners were very wealthy and were very selfish , they didn t like using any of their
money to help anybody besides themselves. They still wanted to make more money even after
being wealthy , they made the slaves work harder because it was more profitable to keep the
slaves working for a longer amount of time. They south in general had treated slaves so poorly ,
slaves were banned from reading , writing and many more , they were afraid the slaves would be
smarter than them so they banned a lot of things from them. This relates to document 5 , it states

Essay about A Tragic Demise in Short Story, Paul s Caseby ...
Paul s Case is a short story by Willa Cather that was written in 1905. Paul is boy in high school
that has many behavior problems. He strives for attention so badly that he feels that he needs to
show out in order to receive the recognition that he wants, especially from his father. Willa Cather
uses symbolism in her short storyto develop the tragic demise of Paul. The symbolism used in the
first paragraph is repeated throughout the story. The red carnation that Paul has placed in the
buttonhole symbolizes his unreal desire to become recognized. The carnation is very flamboyant
and is not appropriate attire for the discipline meeting that Paul is having with the principal of his

On one side of the glass is the harsh reality that is Paul s life, while on the other side is the fantasy
that Paul pictures himself fitting into.
The flowers in the story symbolize Paul s place in the dream. He sees himself as the final piece
his perfect life. When Paul comes arrives in the city, he spots that there are not any flowers in his
room and orders for someone to retrieve some. Paul places them in water, and then gets into a
bath himself. When he was shown to his sitting room on the eighth floor, he saw at a glance that
was as it should be; there was but one detail in his mental picture that the place did not realize, so
he rang for the bell boy and sent him down for flowers... When the flowers came, he put them
hastily into water, and then tumbled into a hot bath (544 545). Paul feels like the flowers are
needed to complete the mental image he has of his perfect life. In the room, there were no flowers,
showing that Paul was not in the dream. His getting the flowers, symbolizes that he had finally
placed himself in the dream.
Towards the end of the story, Paul takes a walk in the park where he sees flowers blooming in a
glass case. This symbolizes that it is not possible for Paul s dream to be actuality , or at least under
his circumstances. Here and there on the corners were stands, with whole flower gardens booming
under glass cases, against the sides of which the snow flakes stuck and melted; violets, roses,

Minimum Wage Should Be Raised For A Better Standard Of Living

Minimum Wage Almost 3.3 out of 76 million workers in the US receive minimum wage (Source:
BLS reports). Activists for raising the minimum wage claim that the federal minimum wage of
$7.25 is the reason they are living in poverty, and that the wage must be raised for a better standard
of living. Many people who take on minimum wage jobs are young and work in companies that don
t carry much prestige; however, they still take pride in their work and demand higher pay (BLS
reports). On the other side of the issue, there are claims that raising the minimum wage will actually
have more drawbacks than benefits such as hurting the economy (Opposing Viewpoints). The ...

These effects can be seen as a boost to the economy because those 28 million workers would
make use of their extra money, and put it back into the ever flowing economy. This action by the
workers would lead to an overall estimated 35 billion dollar increase (Cap Action). Raising the
minimum wage would also help lessen the disparity of income that often occurs. I think many
people can agree that some jobs pay way too much, as opposed to other jobs. By raising the
minimum wage just a little, the workers can feel more needed and potentially increase
productivity (Cap Action). People also believe that by ensuring a fair wage distribution, affluent
people would have less trouble relating to poorer folk, and vice versa. Raising the minimum
wage would reduce unemployment, which is a problem some 4% of Americans today suffer
from (Pew Research). This statement is backed up by the fact that previous states that raised
minimum wage have generally seen an increase in offered jobs (Cap Action). Raising the
minimum wage would also minimally affect other prices of things, which would not lead to
problems in the overall scheme of things (Cap Action). It is stated that the price of a CD would
be raised by just one cent to compensate for a minimum wage increase. An increase would also let
3.5 million workers who use food stamps to be able to purchase their own food, which would not

Symbols And Metaphors Of Oedipus The King
The story of Oedipus the King have many symbols and metaphors that can be interpreted
differently from person to person. There are many metaphors that are used as symbols in Oedipus
the King, which includes sight and blindness, self affliction, and the three way crossroad. These
are the three main symbols that were used in the story, and sight means knowledge, self affliction
stems from a sense of guilt, and the three way crossroad stands for decisions.
The symbol of vision is a big component of the story of Oedipus. There are several situations where
vision is presented in this story and it is a symbol of knowledge. The blind man that told Oedipus
that he would kill his father had knowledge about something that Oedipus did not. Although the
blind man could not visually see, he had knowledge that allowed him to see Oedipus future
through a prophecy. Oedipus had the ability to see and was warned by others and did not take the
advice that was offered by others. As a result, he cut his eyes out because of the awful things that he
did.
The use of blindness and sight was a symbol that was used throughout the story. Some of the
characters lacked the ability to see, but they had the knowledge instead. Although Tiresias was
blind, he could see more about reality than most of the other characters. He was compensated for
being blind with his gift of prophecy. Oedipus has excellent vision, but is blind to the truth because
he does not accept the words of the prophet. He

Film As Art And Abdellatif Kechiche s Blue Is The Warmest...
Within my Film Theory essay, the two theories which I will be exploring in depth is Rudolf
Arnheim s essay Film as art and Laura Mulvey s Visual pleasure and Narrative Cinema . These
two different theories will be applied in relation to Abdellatif Kechiche s Blue is the Warmest
Colour (2013).
Introduction:
In the essay s inception, an overview of both theories will be established in a summary. Within this
introduction, I intend to make my thesis and intentions of the essay s outcome clear. The main
intention that I will explore within my essay is how Mulvey and Arnheim s theories relate in a
contemporary context. With special attention paid in regard to Blue is the Warmest Colour as my
case study a film which attempts to authentically represent a lesbian relationship. However, is often
considered and criticised as having a dominance of the male gaze, despite the films intentions and
audience.
Body of paragraphs:
An alternation between the two theories in each paragraph will be employed in order to draw
similarities and differences between the theories. Furthermore, an aspect which I believe is vital
within my essay and likewise any essay regarding the advancements in film theory is the
consideration of the historical, political and cultural context in which the theorists were writing. A

Blue is the Warmest Colour has been accused by feminists as being a film marketed to women and
lesbians made by men objectifying the women and actresses on screen through the male gaze rather

Arguably, when the immigrants are not capable of invoking the labour and employment rights,
there is an experienced decline in the employment laws. As such, it implies that the worker may be

Reforms Securing of entry points on the border There can be no effective reforms that can be put
in place if the borders are not secured from illegal immigrants. As such, after the United States
controls the borders, should the Congress consider temporary worker initiative. Securing the border
would entail various aspects that would necessitate for additional frontline border patrol,
technological enhancement, the inclusion of fences or barriers in some locations, as well as, the
U.S. military support. A plan that would not include the legislation of border control would greatly
augment the rates of illegal immigrants. This was painfully realized from the Immigration Reform

catastrophic at that time. Elimination of Social Services and Jobs Magnet Secondly, the

set back in 1932 over the 200 meter route.
He was the first Negro to hold such position on any Olympic team at this time.
Jesse Owens was proud of his race and wasn t afraid to show it to anyone.
He ran for his race in all the Olympic games he attended. He gave hope to all the blacks when he

Roger Chillingworth In The Scarlett Letter By Nathaniel...
In June 1642, in the Puritan town of Boston, people surround Hester, a woman who is suspected
of adultery. She is required to wear an A on her dress to make her feel terrible for what she has
done. Hester is told to tell the name of the father of the child Hester has. When Hester looks over
the crowd she notices a man, it was her long lost husband, believed to be lost at sea. At first the
husband didn t understand why she was being punished, so he asked someone, they told him about
the adultery, so he furiously decides that the man should be punished along with her. After she
returns to her prison cell, Roger Chillingworth, a physician, is brought in to calm Hester and her
child; however, it is her long lost husband, but he changed his name.... Show more content on

Tormented by his guilty conscience, Dimmesdale goes to the square where Hester was punished
years earlier. Climbing the scaffold, he admits his guilt to them but cannot find the courage to
do so publicly. Hester, shocked by Dimmesdale, decides to obtain a release from her promise of
silence to her husband. Several days later, Hester meets Dimmesdale in the forest and tells him
of her husband and his desire for revenge. She convinces Dimmesdale to leave Boston in secret
on a ship to Europe, where they can start a new life. On Election Day, Dimmesdale gives what is
declared to be one of his most inspired sermons. But as the procession leaves the church,
Dimmesdale climbs upon the scaffold and confesses his sin, dying in Hester s arms. Later, most
witnesses swear that they saw a stigma in the form of a scarlet A upon his chest, although some
deny it. Chillingworth, losing his will for revenge, dies shortly after and leaves Pearl an inheritance.
After, Hester returns to her cottage and resumes wearing the scarlet letter. When she dies, she is
buried near the grave of Dimmesdale, and they share a simple slate tombstone engraved with words
saying: On a field, sable, the letter A,

Two Points Of View Stories
Two Points of View Stories Liddy Newnam Every year I anticipate our vacation to visit the
Quartapella s beach house. Bouncing in my seat, we ride the ferry taking us out to Bald Head
Island. Michael and Nicholas faces show as we approach the shore. Their arms wave wildly,
their hands flapping in the air. Every year, since we moved from Charlotte to DC, we visit them.
My sister Anna is two years older than me and went to play group with Mike and Nick., For me
it s a little tough fitting in with the older kids. For me to truly participate in the games, I have to
push a little harder to be accepted. Most years we do the same activities, the games only differ a
little as we get older. Over time, Michael has been teaching me to surf, we also go... Show more

It may seem odd, but we spend a lot of time in our bedroom. When you walk into that room, there
are two sets of bunk beds, and clothes cover the floor. Anna and Michael always claim the top
bunks, and Nick and I each have a bottom. Almost immediately after we arrive, Michael suggests
his favorite game. This consists of hitting Nick with ugly dolls by throwing them at the fan, and
having them fly off and hit him. This game quickly evolves into a violent dodgeball game with
stuffed animals that can only be compared to the Hunger Games. Commonly I don t want to
participate in the reckless games that we normally do, because I am younger and as a result I
become injured quite a bit. I don t admit this to the older kids because all I want to do is play
with my best friends. The game tends to come to a close when someone falls off the top bunk,
which apparently, this time, was Nick. When we aren t wrecking the house, we go outside. Racing
across the sand, we plummet into the water, the splash wars have begun. Next to come, sandcastle
building and, what seems like endless laughter. Then, we come home, sand filling our swimsuits
and sheeted to our skin, to rinse off in the outdoor shower. I pull the handle out

Barbie s Influence On Women s Equal Rights And...
The commonly held opinion of the fashion icon, Barbie, has contributed an impeccable standard for
young girls from the unhealthy body images for girls to the low self assurance Barbie has brought
upon them. To counteract the previous statement, with the help of Barbie s many job titles, women
s equal rights and opportunities have flourished. The creator of Barbie, Ruth Handler, created her so
that, through the doll, the little girl could be anything she wanted to be. Barbie always represented
the fact that a woman has choices, (Mattel2016) to serve a purpose as a role model to show kids to
love themselves instead of trying to be like her.The unrealistic self image and lifestyle of glamour
and riches were designed strictly for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each year the Barbie Career Collection expanded into a variety of careers that were not
acceptable to women such as an astronaut 1986, a marine corps sergeant 1992, a president
candidate 2004, and much more. According to Jill E. Barad, American CEO of toy
manufacturer Mattel, sales grew from $200 million in 1982 to $1.9 billion in 1997,
(Encyclopedia 2010) as many children and parents loved playing with the doll. Today, there are
more than 180 careers that Barbie has advocated. Her outfits are designed by professional
fashion designers, makeup artists and elite couturiers, that are seen in over 150 countries.
(Mattel 2017) She has appeared in numerous New York runways shows, has her own jewelry
line, and collaborated with Christian Louboutin, Estee Lauder, Jeremy Moschino and much
more. The timeless fashion designer, Cynthia Rowley, once said that she spent countless hours
playing with [her] Barbie dolls, even designing and sewing one of a kind outfits for the doll...
Barbie gave [her the] start as a designer, (Mattel 2016) to show a child s passion to achieve his or
her dream can start from the early stages of the childhood. Barbie introduced fashion to one of the
most successful designers around the world and it is important to keep a piece of history for
ongoing generations.

Overview Summary
The research report I will be discussing in this assignment is about Test Driven Development
(TDD). One of biggest and most important part of writing a software in any programming language.
It is a way developers work to reduce time on debugging their software. TDD is one of the newest
and most efficient methods for programmers and it is having an ongoing popularity growth
every year. This assignment will be talking about, what TDD is? How it is implemented in
Information Technology (IT) environment, why testing is important and how it can financially
effect developers. We will have a closer look on the history side of TDD, how it was created,
who created it and where did the TDD method pop up from. Also answer why use TDD when
there are other methods out there? Every good thing or way have a bad side too, so does TDD
and that will be covered later on this research report. We will compare TDD with some other
methods and see which one stands out more and what makes them so different from each other.
What is Test Driven Development?
TDD Test Driven Development is not a programme which can be run in the computer nor an
application you can download to fix and find an error with. Instead it is a thought process from a

Essay On Christianity In America
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it
stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. These are the words that
are said every day by students from elementary school to high school. These words are unfair to a
large part of America, or the non Christians. Some people claim that this is a Christian nation,
however Christianityis not the official religion in America, even though it may be the most popular.
Although 71% of America is Christian, the other 29% is forced to pledge to things they don t
believe in. Most Christians today don t go to church or pray at all. They are just Christian because
that is what they were taught as being acceptable while growing up. Christians may rule America,
but there is no ignoring the many people who find this statement offensive.... Show more content on

Would you force belief upon a child? Hopefully not. In the schools, kids with a different belief
system are forced to pledge to this, just to honor their country. These kids are bullied by students
and even teachers. Take Nicole Smalkowski for example. She was a girl on a few different
Oklahoma sports teams in her school. After a game they joined in a circle of prayer. She, being
an atheist refused to pray in something she didn t believe in. She, unlike others, stood out for
what she believed in. She was bullied mercilessly by students and teachers. One of her teachers
claimed that this was a Christian nation, and if she didn t like it she could get out. There is a video
of her online reciting the Pledge of Allegiance without the phrase under God. A student then
comes up to her and tells her that God forgave her. To add insult to injury she was kicked off all
the teams she was part of and out of the school because of differing beliefs. Nicole filed a lawsuit
and won, claiming the school was making thinking for yourself a

  • 4. The Role Of Men And Women By Rousseau One of the Western writers who support this gender oppressive system is Rousseau. For Rousseau, everything man and woman have in common belongs to the species, and everything which distinguishes them belongs to the sex [21]. According to him, men and women are not equal. He writes in his famous passage in Emile: In what they have in common, they are equal. Where they differ, they are not comparable. A perfect woman and a perfect man ought not to resemble each other in mind any more than in looks, and perfection is not susceptible of more or less. In the union of the sexes, each contributes equally to the common aim, but not in the same way. From this diversity arises the first assignable difference in the moral relations of the two sexes.(emile) Rousseau believed that woman is created be in subjection to a man, and his judgment, and she will never be free to set her own opinion above his. • 5. Conflict Themes In Daedalus And Icarus The Greek myths, Phaethon and Daedalus and Icarus, both come to tragic ends due to pride. Similar characterization, imagery, and conflict themes are used majorly within the myths by the authors. Phaethon and Icarus are very prideful youths. Their prideful disregard of the warnings from their older and wiser fathers quickly lead to disastrous consequences. First, the characterization in Daedalusand Icarus represents the theme of the myths. Daedalus is worried about Icarus, which shows his concern as a father when he says, Above all, don t fly too high! Don t fly too close to the sun! (pg. 61) Daedalus concern as a father represents characterization because it is one of his many character traits. Icarus may not have listened to this advice but, it did have an impact on him that made him remember what Daedalus said at the last second before he fell to his doom. In Phaethon, Epaphus can represent the theme of the text in characterization because he was keeping his pride. Within his boastfulness, knowing he ll get a reaction out of Phaethon, he says, I sit on Olympus with him (Zeus), and he teaches me things and gives me presents. (pg. 49) Epaphus trait of boastfulness sets Phaethon on his own prideful path as they argue about their fathers greatness. Phaethon s prideful exaggerations and lies cause him to carelessly set out on his journey to the Eastern Palace to see his father. It also starts the rising action of the story. Project Approach Advantages And Disadvantages The project approach enables children to emerge in projects which they are interested in, in order to encourage them to raise and ask questions while teachers will provide materials and allow children to find answers by themselves rather than telling them the answer directly. For example, if children wonder where breads come from, or how they are made, teachers may arrange a field trip where they can find the answers by asking an experienced baker from a bakery, or staff from the supermarket, and such. Children are also encouraged to use modern technology like the internet to search for answers under adult supervision or through the traditional way of going to the library and look for relevant books. The main challenge of the project approach is that teachers need to know children very well in order to be able to understand and fulfill their curiosity. It requires a lot of time and dedications to learn and understand each child s individual strength and interests. Another challenge is part of the planning. Although there is no assigned topic as it is based on children s interest, the teacher has to make sure there is unity and cohesiveness which every child in class can appreciate at the same time and not only favoring a certain child s interest. As various interests are developed, teachers have to keep the communication focused on the value of each group s equal contribution in terms of knowledge and understanding of the chosen topic by all children in class. To conclude, despite the challenges project approach face, it is a great way to develop in depth thinking while engaging the heart and minds of young children. Project work offers a wide variety of opportunities for young children s ideas to be appreciated, their creativity to be encouraged, their interests to be fostered, and for their learning needs to be met in order to develop a life long love of learning and understand the interconnected relationship of all things. Manzana Insurance Company Case: Manzana Insurance Fruitvale Branch (Abridged) Harvard Business School Executive Summary Fruitvale s core management problem is the low performance due to an unacceptable long turnaround times (TAT). Especially because of the late Renewals many of FruitvaleВ ґs customers are turning to its major competitor Golden Gate. The operating performance needs to be improved by eradicating the bottleneck in Underwriting. This will be achieved by restructuring and simplifying the process. After underwriting both each team member will rate one of the two requests. It is important that the DCs distribute similar requests in terms of rating time to one certain UT. Due to the fusion of step two and three 25% (time savings in writing and getting into the case) or more of rating time will be saved. In order to stay within a save margin we reduced the weighted average rating time by 25% and added this to the weighted average time of underwriting. We divided the weighting time of the first request lying on the desk while the second is being processed on both requests. In average 12 requests will be processed by the UTs every 109.6 minutes. Every 54.8 minutes (109.6/2 min) 6 requests can be processed by the policy writing department. Hence the average service rate in step two and three is the same. This would also increase productivity by decreasing queuing time. We will rather implement FIFO for all products, independent of the profit generated. • 8. Virginia Woolf The Moth The Death of the Moth by Virginia Woolf Death is a difficult subject for anyone to speak of, although it is a part of everyday life. In Virginia Woolf s The Death of the Moth , she writes about a moth flying about a windowpane, its world constrained by the boundaries of the wood holding the glass. The moth flew, first from one side, to the other, and then back as the rest of life continued ignorant of its movements. At first indifferent, Woolf was eventually moved to pity the moth. This story shows that life is as strange and familiar as death to us all. I believe this story was well written and will critique the symbolism, characters, and the setting. This symbolism Woolf applies to everyday human life, making us understand that death will all happen to us one day, when it is our time. There is no escaping death when it comes for us. The character of the moth and the way that Woolf s story unfolds makes you, as a reader, feel as if you are there actually watching the moth die. Her descriptions of the moth s flight and the struggle against death as he lived his life that day involves you in the mourning of someone or something you love dying. You feel every movement that Woolf saw in the moth s life that day by reading this essay. As Woolf describes how the moth flew vigorously to one corner of his compartment, and after waiting there a second, flew across to the other, you can feel the moth s movements (1178). In Woolf s essay, the battle between life and death is somehow seen as both pathetic and noble. Pathetic because death will always win regardless the desire for life; but noble in how one faces death on our back, defeated, or on our feet, and in dignity. Woolf states one could only watch the extraordinary efforts made by those tiny legs against an oncoming doom which could, had it chosen, have submerged an entire city, not merely a city, but masses of human beings; nothing, I knew, had any chance against death and shows the moth s courageous journey into death (1179). • 19. The Issue Of Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia has one of the most exceedingly terrible human rights records on the planet as the nation routinely detains and executes many individuals named as foes of the kingdom. As indicated by the Human Rights Watch (HRW), the rule of King Abdullah, who passed away on 2015 at 90 years old, realized minor advances for women, yet neglected to secure the key privileges of Saudi Arabiasubjects to free expression, affiliation and assembly. The nation regularly sparks overall shock for its restraint of fundamental flexibilities and oppression of political adversaries and human rightsactivists. The issue in Saudi Arabia is that the legal framework is utilized as a device against the individuals who need more opportunity. In Saudi Arabia, there is the supposed religious police, whose part is to discover human rights seekers and flexibility contenders and rebuff them. Additionally, there are high courts, which do not work like in Western nations and they are not accountable for ensuring the security of rights, but rather ensuring that disciplines are completed. There are additional reports expressing that numerous individuals who are detained, regularly without being charged, are likewise tormented, as the degree is to mortify them and make them endure. Detainees are likewise tormented in light of the fact that the Saudi Arabian legitimate framework depends on admissions. This is a gross infringement of worldwide principles, considering the way that Saudi Arabia intentionally ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Argument Against Native Sovereignty in Canda Essay This paper supports Thomas Flanagan s argument against Native sovereignty in Canada; through an evaluation of the meanings of sovereignty it is clear that Native sovereignty can not coexist with Canadian sovereignty. Flanagan outlines two main interpretations of sovereignty. Through an analysis of these ideas it is clear that Native Sovereignty in Canadacan not coexist with Canadian sovereignty. The first interpretation of sovereignty that is examined by Flanagan views sovereignty in an international sense. Sovereignty for these leaders means gaining more international power and acceptance. Flanagan argues that major international bodies such as the United Nations will be accepting such an attempt at sovereignty (71). As the second ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Flanagan s analysis of Native sovereignty internationally is effectively argued. International organizations such as the World Trade Organization and United Nations would be hesitant to accept sovereignty of Aboriginal people. Although it is commonly known that many bands within Canada have access to significant natural resources the majority do not. Flanagan is very direct in stating that (outside of transfer payments from the government of Canada which would presumably stop to a sovereign nations) most bands are very weak economically (73). It would be extremely difficult therefore to afford to send delegates to these international bodies. Without significant monetary support no sovereign state can be involved in significant international organizations. Flanagan also soundly refutes the idea of a united Aboriginal sovereign state. Most Aboriginals would likely agree the greatest evil committed against them by European settlers has been the attempts of assimilation. By gaining sovereignty they would be free from these attempts, at least in theory. However in order to develop a significant voice working as one would result into a similar problem. As mentioned above language, religion and other major difference would make a union extremely difficult. Therefore with these issues present it would not be possible for native sovereignty to coexist with Canadian sovereignty. • 22. Essay on Hotspur as Tragic Hero of Henry IV Hotspur as Tragic Hero of Henry IV In Shakespeare s Henry IV Part One, the characters many different conceptions of honor govern how they respond to situations. Each character s conception of honor has a great impact on the character s standing after the play. For instance, Falstaff survived because he dishonorably faked his own death, and his untrue claim that he was the one who killed Hotspur may get him a title and land. On the other hand, Hotspur lies dead after losing a duel for honor. Hotspur, who is in many ways the ideal man by the standards of his time, is killed by his lust for honor. In this he is similar to other famous tragic heroes. Oedipus was king at the opening of the play Oedipus Rex, and Odysseus was returning from a great military conquest that had been won with an idea that was at least partly his. In addition, Hotspur experiences the traditional rise and fall sequence of the tragic hero. As Hotspur s plot against the King unfolds, it appears that he has as allies all the forces of the men who were earlier named as fighting England s wars, and the King does not even have his son. Here Hotspur hits his peak, just as Odysseus returning from victory at Troy was at his peak as he started the journey home. Shakespeare packs almost all the bad news Hotspur will receive into a single scene, telling us that many of Hotspur s allies have fallen out of the scene and describing the King s forces and reinforcements, including Hal s joining Henry. This is in the style of the fall of the tragic hero, and follows the pattern set by Odysseus sudden shipwreck and Oedipus sudden understanding of what he is. To complete the picture, there is what might have been. Just as Oedipus might have turned back from his quest for knowledge at any point, so Hotspur had several clear opportunities to turn back, even at advantage. For instance, while the message carried by Worcester is altered, the message Blunt took back to the King was not changed, and could have been an offer of peace, on Hotspur s terms. There are many metaphors that are used as symbols in Oedipus the King, which includes sight and blindness, self affliction, and the three way crossroad. These are the three main symbols that were used in the story, and sight means knowledge, self affliction stems from a sense of guilt, and the three way crossroad stands for decisions. The symbol of vision is a big component of the story of Oedipus. There are several situations where vision is presented in this story and it is a symbol of knowledge. The blind man that told Oedipus that he would kill his father had knowledge about something that Oedipus did not. Bouncing in my seat, we ride the ferry taking us out to Bald Head Island. Michael and Nicholas faces show as we approach the shore. Their arms wave wildly, their hands flapping in the air. Every year, since we moved from Charlotte to DC, we visit them. My sister Anna is two years older than me and went to play group with Mike and Nick., For me it s a little tough fitting in with the older kids. For me to truly participate in the games, I have to push a little harder to be accepted. Most years we do the same activities, the games only differ a little as we get older. Over time, Michael has been teaching me to surf, we also go... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It may seem odd, but we spend a lot of time in our bedroom. When you walk into that room, there are two sets of bunk beds, and clothes cover the floor. Anna and Michael always claim the top bunks, and Nick and I each have a bottom. Almost immediately after we arrive, Michael suggests his favorite game. This consists of hitting Nick with ugly dolls by throwing them at the fan, and having them fly off and hit him. This game quickly evolves into a violent dodgeball game with stuffed animals that can only be compared to the Hunger Games. Commonly I don t want to participate in the reckless games that we normally do, because I am younger and as a result I become injured quite a bit. I don t admit this to the older kids because all I want to do is play with my best friends. The game tends to come to a close when someone falls off the top bunk, which apparently, this time, was Nick. When we aren t wrecking the house, we go outside. Racing across the sand, we plummet into the water, the splash wars have begun. Next to come, sandcastle building and, what seems like endless laughter. Then, we come home, sand filling our swimsuits and sheeted to our skin, to rinse off in the outdoor shower. I pull the handle out ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Essay On Christianity In America I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. These are the words that are said every day by students from elementary school to high school. These words are unfair to a large part of America, or the non Christians. Some people claim that this is a Christian nation, however Christianityis not the official religion in America, even though it may be the most popular. Although 71% of America is Christian, the other 29% is forced to pledge to things they don t believe in. Most Christians today don t go to church or pray at all. They are just Christian because that is what they were taught as being acceptable while growing up. Christians may rule America, but there is no ignoring the many people who find this statement offensive.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Would you force belief upon a child? Hopefully not. In the schools, kids with a different belief system are forced to pledge to this, just to honor their country. These kids are bullied by students and even teachers. Take Nicole Smalkowski for example. She was a girl on a few different Oklahoma sports teams in her school. After a game they joined in a circle of prayer. She, being an atheist refused to pray in something she didn t believe in. She, unlike others, stood out for what she believed in. She was bullied mercilessly by students and teachers. One of her teachers claimed that this was a Christian nation, and if she didn t like it she could get out. There is a video of her online reciting the Pledge of Allegiance without the phrase under God. A student then comes up to her and tells her that God forgave her. To add insult to injury she was kicked off all the teams she was part of and out of the school because of differing beliefs. Nicole filed a lawsuit and won, claiming the school was making thinking for yourself a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
