INTERNET
The Inter Service Providers in Bali have exponentially increased their quality of service in the last
decade or so. The cafes and restaurants near main roads have excellent internet service for short
time travelers. Many online business owners and startups have moved to Bali because the internet
service is hassle free. A nice option for an expat would be to share their internet connection with a

Put in a simple way: the different areas north, east, west south have distinct lifestyles. Your
choice of area of expat depends largely on what you want out of Bali. Ubud is your area if you
love a laid back town with artistic vibes, closeness with nature, rice fields, amazing cafes and
yoga studios in around almost every corner. North and East Bali are for those who want to live
in traditional Bali with a lesser strength of expats. South Bali is a larger portion of Bali which
includes Uluwatu, Sanur, Denpasar etc. Here, one experiences a faster lifestyle with a heavy
population and traffic. Cafes, Yoga Studios and gym are a common thing in the south. The best

Examples Of Informal Deviance
The extra credit assignment I chose to talk about was the Informal and Formal deviance talked
about in Dalton Conley s book You may ask yourself . According to Conley, there are two forms of
deviance, formal and informal. The informal aspect is one where there is no law being broken but
more along the lines of breaking a social norm. The second form of deviance is formal and this is
where a law is broken and you will be punished accordingly (Conley, D. 2017. P. 191). In my image
above the white man is drinking out of the colored water fountain which back in the 1940 s was
illegal and this is a formal deviance, or crime, which is the violation of laws enacted by society.
(Conley, D. 2017. P. 191) In 1896 Plessy vs Ferguson, the courts ruled

Air Driven Engine Project Report
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
At first glance the idea of running an engine on air seems to be too good to be true. Actually, if
we can make use of air as an aid for running an engine it is a fantastic idea. As we all know, air is all
around us, it never runs out, it is non polluting and it is free.
An Air Driven Engine makes use of Compressed Air Technology for its operation. Compressed
Air Technology is now widely preferred for research by different industries for developing
different drives for different purposes. The Compressed Air Technology is quite simple. If we
compress normal air into a cylinder the air would hold some energy within it. This energy can be
utilized for useful purposes. When this compressed air expands, the energy is ... Show more content

Fig. 2.1 working of two stroke engine
There are no traditional valves in a two stroke engine. In a two stroke the engines fires once every
revolution. This makes the engine highly efficient and lightweight compared to four stroke
systems. Rather than entering through valves, the fuel/air mixture enters through an intake port
and exhaust exits out of an exhaust port. In place of traditional valves the two stroke engine uses
the piston s position to force out exhaust or suck in fuel mixture.
Reeds are vital to a two stroke system. The reeds are placed between the intake manifold and the
carburetor, open and close to allow the fuel / air mixture to enter the case of the engine and trap it,
and ensure the proper exchange of gasses in the engine. This procedure might sound complex, but it
is, in fact, extremely effective and easy to understand.
The whole cycle can be explained as follows:
1) As the piston moves from bottom dead center to top dead center it creates a vaccum to draw the
fuel / air mixture through the carburetor and past the reed valve assembly.
2) The piston moves down from top dead center to bottom dead center. The reed closes, causing the
pressure to build in the cylinder. The movement of the piston uncovers the intake port and
pressurized the fuel / air mixture.
3) The piston now moves up from bottom dead center to top dead center, effectively ending a cycle
and starting another. The spark plug

Compare And Similarities Between Sherlock And Doctor Who
From England to the United States, BBC America has aired their highly regarded television shows
in our vast continent since 1935. BBC, standing for the British Broadcast Channel, has produced an
abundant amount of nominated television shows from Merlin to Downtown Abbey. However,
BBC is well known for capturing the hearts of teenage and middle age individuals from their
nominated television shows called Sherlock and Doctor Who. Airing on BBC America since the
1960s, Doctor Who is the longest running television show on BBC America. On the other hand,
from Arthur Conan Doyles The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, comes a contemporary twist in the
story and characters of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor John Watson. By looking at the outer portions
of the shows, one can view them as polar opposites. However, both the British television shows
share exceedingly similar qualities in their plot and characteristics of the main leads and their
companions in the show. Sharing similar characteristics in the roles that they play, Sherlock Homes
form Sherlock and The Doctor from Doctor Who are both intelligent lonely men who fancy a sense
of adventure. The Doctor and Sherlock are both perceived as Gods from their astounding
intelligence and being able to overcome death. They are rather intelligent then the companions they
surround themselves with. The Doctor s wisdom comes from living in an advanced alien
civilization, while Sherlock has brilliant deductive skills then they average detective

Immunotherapy Essay
Immunotherapy
Immunotherapy has been on an upward trend in cancer treatments recently. By activating the body
s own immune system, immunotherapy puts to use the body s own powerful anticancer
mechanisms to achieve a response against the cancerous cells. Most of the current cancer treatments
are non specific immunotherapy, meaning that they boost the immune system in a more general way
and act by blocking antibodies and T cell receptors. On the other hand, specific immunotherapy
targets tumor antigens on cancer cells. One type of specific immunotherapy is the cancer treatment
vaccine. Cancer treatment vaccines are slightly different from preventative vaccines since they
attempt to get the immune system to attack against the already existing cancer cells in the body.
Some cancer vaccines consist of cancer cells, parts of cells, or pure antigens. However, other ...

The ready vaccine is injected into the patient. Vaccines are often combined with other substances or
cells, known as adjuvants, that help boost the immune response even further. They also cause the
immune system to attack cells with one or more specific antigens. Because the immune system has
special cells for memory, it s hoped that the vaccine might continue to work long after it s given.
Major Histocompatibility Complex, Antigens, and T cells
Humans and other vertebrates have adaptive, or specific immunity, which involves the use of T
cells and B cells, classes of white blood cells known as lymphocytes. An antigen is any substance
that causes a response from the T cells or B cells; the binding site of the antigen is called an
epitope. While helper T cells secrete cytokines to promote response, cytotoxic T cells employ toxic
proteins to attack and kill cells infected by virus or pathogens from within the cell itself.

Mount Douglass Research Paper
For my place narrative assignment, I chose to focus on a place that I not only visit frequently,
but truly appreciate: Mount Douglas. This is a place I value not only for its beauty, but for the
calmness it allows me to experience as a result of being part of nature. As it turns out, this has
been the location of many important histories, dating back hundreds of years, and is still making
history today. This history is significant both ecologically, and culturally, and is something I have
enjoyed learning about. Through researching this place, and its surrounding area I have come to
learn its importance branches far greater than its importance to me. Before James Douglas, or any
other settlers had arrived, this place was known as PKOLS by the indigenous peoplesin the area.
PKOLS is located in the W̱SÁNEĆ territory, bordering Lekwungen and was a meaningful
meeting place for these two nations as well as with Songhees, and Esquimalt nations. Not only was
it significant due to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After years of erosion, made more prevalent due to previous logging practices, there is now
barren rock visible in many parts of the mountain. With very little soil on this rock, mosses and
lichens grow exclusively on the barren topography. Where there is soil, it is far less rich in
nutrients than when it was managed by W̱SÁNEĆ people. Despite this fact, there are still
large Douglas Firs (Pseudotsuga menziesii) that grow all over the hill and surrounding park area,
accompanied by other smaller trees. Along with these native tree and plant species, there are many
invasive species as well. Due to the high volume of human visitors, there is inevitably a large
population of introduced species. Though PKOLS may not be as productive of a landscape as it

Parental Grief Essay
The Continuing Process of Parental Grief Also, sometimes a parent s love makes them unable to
let go. I ve seen so many parents put their needs above their infant s because they just can t bear to
suffer the grief of losing a child. It s heartbreaking when you can see parents in total denial and you
know that the end will come one way or another but they just can t accept it. I don t know if that s
the case here or not, but it s certainly a possibility. Parental Grief The theme of parental mourning
has been a universal one throughout the centuries. In the literature on bereavement, writers repeat
certain themes, thoughts, and reflections; they talk of the powerful and often conflicting emotions
involved in the pain of grief and the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet, these parents have to accept that they will never be able to live their lives with or share
their love openly with the child. So they must find ways to hold on to the memories. Many
bereaved parents come to learn that memories are the precious gifts of the heart...[that they
need] these memories and whispers, to help create a sense of inner peace, a closeness
(Wisconsin Perspectives Newsletter, Spring 1989, 1). Grieving parents say that their grief is a
lifelong process, a long and painful process... a process in which [they] try to take and keep
some meaning from the loss and life without the [child] (Arnold and Gemma 1983, 57). After a
child s death, parents embark on a long, sad journey that can be very frightening and extremely
lonely a journey that never really ends. The hope and desire that healing will come eventually is
an intense and persistent one for grieving parents. The child who died is considered a gift to the
parents and family, and they are forced to give up that gift. Yet, as parents, they also strive to let
their child s life, no matter how short, be seen as a gift to others. These parents seek to find ways
to continue to love, honor, and value the lives of their children and continue to make the child s
presence known and felt in the lives of family and friends. Bereaved parents often try to live their
lives more fully and generously because of this painful experience. To those outside the family, the

Abstract
The strength of Harley Davidson s brand and dominant market position give the firm a wide moat,

The firm has already cut production in an attempt to trim costs in line with faling demand. in
addition, just over half of Harley s motorcycle revenues are derived from retail sales made on
credit. We think that the lack of available funds on the wholesale markets and the shrinking of the
number of qualifying customers will make it difficult for the company s financial services division
to continue to support retail sales by providing credit to customers.
Harley must address some long term challenges. The firm has been focused on a narrow
demographic group (around 89% of customers are male) and the median age of Harley s customers
has been on a long term upward trend.
We believe that the firm must find ways to broaden the appeal of its brand without alienating its
core customer base. Harley has grown in recent years in the international market , and revenues
generated abroad have risen to 25% of total revenues in 2007 from 19% in 2004. Although the firm
has recently introduced a performance motorcycle for the European market, I think that it may find
it difficult to deliver customized products for overseas markets while supporting its brand franchise.

Harley s revenues could be severely hurt by a further weakening of the global economy and
increased reductions in consumer spending on high ticket discretionary items,

Questions On Wood Dining Commons Essay
Wood Dining Commons February 9th, 2016, 11:45 A.M. I m sitting at the first long table to the
right of the Wood Dining Commons at Muhlenberg. I Just finished my lucky charms and the
empty bowl has a few mushy left over cereal charms left. As the lunch rush starts to begin my
soundings start to become loader. I see many familiar faces as they walk in and out of dining
hall. Being part of such a small school has its advantages and disadvantages. You see people you
know all the time even if you do your best to try to avoid them. Trust me I have tried many times
avoiding people but seem to always run into them at the dining hall. As I look around at
different groups I can tune into different conversations people are having. It was easier to tune
into the conversations while the dining hall have as many people. To the right of me there is a
group of five girls. They are speaking about how large the Bananas are today, it s literally the
length of my head. To the back of me there is a group of Lacrosse boys sitting at the first round
table talking about their six o clock morning practice and how dreadful it is. To the left of me at
the next long table looks like one of the head chefs and maybe the boss of the dining hall. I have
seen them both before sitting exactly there. I can t really hear what they are speaking about.
Maybe how things should be different, or maybe what is going to be on next months meal plan.

Explain How The Military Techniques Used To Keep The Roman...
The Roman Emperors used many different strategies as ways to keep the empire in control and
safe. To prevent riots within the empire and attacks from outside of it, they utilized their army and
roads, natural and manmade borders, strict Roman laws and even their circuses and bread as ways
to keep the Roman Empirestrong. It was these 4 points that kept the empire thriving for as long as it
did.
The Roman Army was an extremely skilled and powerful force that almost never was defeated.
Their incredibly good fighting techniques helped with the control and safety of the empire. To
keep order in the empire they had a civil guard maintaining peace. They dealt with less
threatening affairs while the Roman legions and auxilia suppressed higher level rioting and
rebellion. The Romans were highly skilled when it came to battles, and even though their
weapons were not significantly better than their enemies they were highly disciplined. The army
was organised in a very simple way, they would be split into groups in equal amounts with a
leader or commander. Roads that the Romans designed were essential to keep the empire safe.
Over the course of 700 years, they built more than 55,000 miles of highways throughout Europe.
They built these roads to link the conquered empires and establish them as colonies. Another
reason roads were built was because it reduced marching fatigue and travel time for the Roman

Huck s Use Of Greed In Huckleberry Finn
Paradise is often described as the perfect getaway into the utmost luxurious world; in fact, the
bare necessity of paradise lies upon civilization. For centuries, most people have seen civilization
as a necessity of life. However, in Mark Twain s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck
holds a starkly contested opinion of civilization, which is society is corrupt and to Huck,
unnecessary. He believes in frequent inappropriate and barbaric actions in order to assert his own
opinion regarding society and allow himself to depart from the evils of society and civilization. In

One foggy night, Huck demonstrates his talent of deceiving Jim by slyly stating, I hain t seen
no fog, nor no islands, nor no troubles, nor nothing. I been setting here talking with you all night

Jim has been dreaming. Soon enough, Jim ascertains Huck s trick and induces his apology. Huck
lies for the thrill, even if it results in a bitter Jim. Huck feels that conducting himself in a churlish
manner draws himself further and further from civilization. Huck is virtually relying on his
genuine self to complete the arduous task of escaping humanity. Neil Schmitz, an esteemed
writer, notes, What lies coiled in the child is the aboriginal self, an effortless beauty that mocks
the repressed, fiercely civilized adult ( The Paradox of Liberation in Huckleberry Finn ). Schmitz
is expressing his opinion that Huck s lying brings out a raw, barbarian version of himself. In order
to prove that he is truly not one with society, Huck essentially unmasks himself by lying.
Furthermore, Huck s deceit brings him even further from civilization, almost to the point where his
behavior mocks society and those who have fallen to

Feral Cats Essay
Cats are one of the most beloved pets to humans beings. Though they provided a sense of
comfort and love, there is a dark side to these soft, adorable, felines. Cats, both domestic and
feral, poses a serious threat to native bird populations in the United States and health risk to both
people and other animals. It is important that people realize the impact that feral cats have in the
environment that they inhabit and how it not only effects other species, but us humans as well.

The Extinction of Pleistocene Mammals Essay
During the late Pleistocene, a mystery occurred in which large mammals went extinct in North
America while they survived in other parts of the world. Scientists studying the late Pleistocene
extinction provided a plethora of explanations, including overkill by humans, extraterrestrial events,
and climate changes (Faith and Surovell, 2009). However, there was no unified explanation that
they all agreed upon. Taking note of this, J. Tyler Faith and Todd A. Surovell conducted tests to
discover whether the extinction was a single event or a long term process. Their findings were
important to other scientists in the same field, as they served as a guideline for their explanations
of catalysts of the extinction.
Scientists in this field have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some scientists have attributed the extinction to an extraterrestrial event. In 2009, another group of
scientists found nanodiamonds in the sediment layer dating back to the Younger Dryas a period of
glacial dewarming. Because these nanodiamonds needed conditions similar to that of cosmic
impacts to form, they concluded that a large group of comets might have impacted the Earth,
causing the Pleistocene extinction (Kennett et. al, 2009). Although the research done on late
Pleistocene extinctions was extensive, the conclusions for these explanatory models contradicted
one another.
Amid these conclusions, Faith and Surovell derived their question from the fact that one cannot
develop explanations for this phenomenon without knowing whether the extinction was a long term
process or a single event. They hypothesized that the extinction during the North American late
Pleistocene was a single event that occurred between 12,000 and 10,000 radiocarbon years B.P.
(Faith and Surovell, 2009).
In order to test their hypothesis, they created a statistical test. The statistical test used data of the
occurrences of the fossils of extinct Pleistocene mammals in layers of rock and terminal
Pleistocene radiocarbon dates for a given taxon, or taxon dates. These dates were all rated as
reliable or of intermediate reliability. They found a pattern in the data specific to North American
Pleistocene mammals: the last

Les Miserables Essay
Throughout the book Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Eponine s love for Marius is very evident.
Marius is oblivious to this, and only recognizes it once Eponine confesses her love for him.
Marius is blind to the fact, and overlooks Eponine. Eponine falls blindly in love with Marius,
knowing that he will never loveher. The first time she meets him, was at his apartment to give him
a begging letter from her father. Trying to impress him, she shows her ability to read and write
by reading aloud a passage from a book, and then writes, THE COGNES ARE HERE (Hugo 231).
She then opens up to him about her life and her hardships. Marius feels pity for her and gives her
five francs, and she thanks him.
In the movie, Eponine says Little he knows. Little he sees. She is talking to Marius and how he
doesn t really see the true potential in her. Eponine is smart and tough, but is also sensitive and
lonely. Since he doesn t love her, she feels little self worth. Marius s moods change though
according to his circumstances, so he doesn t always recognize what she is feeling. When Cosette

The Ten Design Principles Of Good Design
For manufactured products to be successful, they must accomplish several crucial points. These
points are highlighted in the belief system founded by Dieter Rams known as the ten design
principles of good design. Beginning at the drawing board, it is vital that designers keep all of
these aspects and margins in mind while developing their product. Brita, a company that focuses
on water filtration products, is one of the few corporations that satisfy almost all of Ram s
commandments. In particular, the Brita Sport Water Bottle follows his famous design doctrine
especially well. These design concepts contribute to all of the product s successes throughout
the years. Brita, a company that has lasted for over 40 years, has a history equipped with many
successes that have contributed to their growth. The business was founded in 1966 by Heinz
Hankammer in Germany with a clear vision in mind. His vision was a world where drinking
clean water can continuously available to everyone who seeks it (Brita, 2016). They have come
a long way since their founding in the late 60s. Not only do they sell filters but they have
progressed to the sale of faucet systems, filtered pitchers, dispensers and water bottles. Throughout
the years, the company has kept the founder s family in positions of power to ensure that their
vision is fulfilled. In fact, Hankammer s son Markus Hankammer is the company s managing
director (Brita, 2016). For the past 50 years, the business has created a brand for

The Character of Hareton in Wuthering Heights by Emily...
The Character of Hareton in Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Wuthering Heights, written by Emile Bronte, is on of the most famous Victorian novels in English
literature. This novel was the only novel written by her. The novel has the social and moral values
in England in the nineteenth century as the recurring theme. The adjective wuthering is used in
some parts of rural England to describe stormy weather. Wuthering Heightsis a farmhouse on top of
a small hillock, which is open to all the elements of wind and weather and hence is synonymous
with passion and violence. The other house nearby, Thrushcross Grange contrasts sharply with

His pride is what holds him together and he does not allow himself to be pushed around by anyone
except Heathcliff. Above all, Hareton is the only person, with the exception of Catherine, who loves
Heathcliff, though it might be more due to a force of habit.
Hareton is introduced into the novel in the second chapter where he is described as a gruff man.
But his rough, yet friendly nature can be seen clearly from the fact that he is the only man in the
household who holds enough goodwill to let Lockwood into the house and bide him to sit down.
Also when Lockwood expresses his desire to go back to Thrushcross Grange despite the storm,
Hareton offers to accompany him up to the park, though he was adequately rebuked.
Hareton never knew the love of a mother and only had enough good fortune to have Nelly as a
nurse for a very short time. The combination of this and fact that Hindley, after Frances s death
became a wild, drunken and lost man, made Hareton a quiet child. We next see Hareton as six
year old boy with a mouth willing to let out a stream of curses. Heathcliff, after returning and
lodging at Wuthering Heights has started to extend his influence over Hareton. He stops his
education but makes him feel as though it was his own choice. By taking his side against Hindley,
he effectively turns Hareton against Hindley and wins his love and trust. Heathcliff gains a

Argument Essay Draft 2
To Hit or Not to Hit In 1973, Major League Baseball accepted Rule 5.11, also known as the
Designated Hitter (DH) rule. This rule allows a player, who does not play a defensive position,
to hit in place of the pitcher. The rule was created because pitchers, most of whom are notoriously
bad hitters, were basically a free out for the opposing team. However, for some ungodly reason, the
new DH rule was only established in one of the two leagues in the MLB. As a result, the American
League, the league using the DH rule, has consistently produced higher batting averages since 1973
than the National League. When two teams from different leagues play each other, they... Show

By expanding the DH rule to the National League, the MLB could create and extend more careers
for players just like Martinez. Many people against the designated hitter believe having a DH ruins
the integrity of the game. They think that teams should need to strategize by having pitchers
bunt runners to the next base or force managers to make the tough decision of when to substitute
a hitter for the pitcher. People opposed to the DH rule believe it is wrong to change the rules
because this game has been played the same way for more than 100 years. This is both a closed
minded and ancient way of thinking. Rules are meant to evolve and change over time to adjust
to the times. The days of sacrificing at bats to bunt runners over are over. The sacrifice bunt has
been virtually destroyed by new statistics and metrics that show how inefficient it is. The game
is in need of more offense and expanding the DH rule to both leagues solves that problem and is
a necessary evolvement to the sport. Over the past few years, pitching has been dominant and the

Some people believe that hosting the Olympics in Boston is a huge responsibility for the city
because of many things. For example, it s a huge risk because the country will invest a lot of
money . So for some people the Olympics is, economically, not worthwhile in the slightest, and
the games are ridiculous expensive due to money that the government will spend for the
construction such as ; building stadiums, the construction of the infrastructure of the country to
cater the needs of the athletes or sportspeople. Also a lot of people think that Olympics will
affect the population of the Boston for about a month or two because if lots of people go, the city
will be very crowded which creates lots of traffic and disrupts the daily life of the citizens. Besides
that, some other people see that

Mountaintop Removal Essay
Coal (n): A combustible black or dark brown rock consisting mainly of carbonized plant matter,
found mainly in underground deposits and widely used as fuel. This little rock is what keeps 39%
of our nation running. 10% of that coal comes from stripping the Appalachian mountain range of
her beautiful peaks in a process called strip miningor, more popularly, Mountaintop Removal. Coal
is considered a non renewable energy resource, meaning once it s depleted, it will not return for
millions of years. Once it s gone, it s gone. These non renewable sources are found deep
underground. Coal needs to be mined out, either by machine or by manual labor. The use of and the
process in which we procure coal is a detriment to both the environment and the people in said
environment. It is dangerous to the workers within the mines, the flora and fauna around the sites,
and the surrounding communities.
Mountaintop Removal is the process in which the top of the mountain is removed, as the moniker
may suggest. The layer of topsoil and vegetation must be removed and cleared away to reach the
coal beneath. The plant life removed from the mountain is labelled overburden and cleared away.
It is rarely ever used for any real purpose, and is often burned. The process of removing the topsoil

2A History of the problem
The exposure to risk factors increased the development of violence for young people. Risk facts
increases the probability that a person will suffer harm (General 2001). Risk factors increase the
likelihood of children exposure to violence. Risk factors vary on many levels. They are individual,
family, social and community risk factors. Each work together to increase the exposure to violence.
Overtime violence interrupted youth s ability to focus, trust, communicate, believe and consider a
future for themselves. Children who are exposed to high levels of risk factors are more violent than
youths who are not exposed to such factors.

пѓ A summary of what your team did during this week
On Monday, we tested our car with 50g weights, but it was not energy efficient as the energy
score decreased because I put the weights in front of the car, which made the car go slower. I
solved this issue by putting the weights in the back of the car like where the motor is. Then, I
tested our car with 100g weights on the track, and the energy score increased. As a group, we
decided to add more weights because as I put more weights on the car, the energy score increased.

I solved this issue by putting the weights in the back of the car like where the motor is so the car

The second problem I faced this week was; when I put 150g weights in the back of the car, the
car only went halfway down the track and then it completely stopped. I found out; it stopped
because the weights were blocking the wheels. I solved this issue by adjusting the weights (like I
put the weights in the back of the car so that the car can pick up the speed quickly).
After solving these issues, the car never stopped again, and I realised that the car went the fastest
when the weights were put in the back of the car. The car went the slowest with the weights put in
front of the car and the car never stopped again. That is how we solved our issue.

Considerations and Warnings
Your mouth guard can be constructed for either your lower or upper teeth.
Teeth grinding can cause you wake up with a headache, besides jaw pain.
A custom made mouth guard should fit comfortably and snug. What s more, it should have a stable
arc and not rock back and forth.
If you have dental bridge work or wear braces, it s particularly critical that your mouth guard fits
properly. This because your mouth guard can give you a protective barrier between your lips, or
cheek, if you suffer from a blow to your face.
Mouth guards should be regularly cleaned, using soapy, cool water after they re used.
Take your mouth guard to every dental appointment so that it can be examined for defects. Also,
inspect your guard, consistently, at home, checking for wear and tear, such as holes. For any
questions regarding night guards, visit our Hills Dental Care clinic. Our Sydney based dental
practice is equipped with all the latest equipment to make your visit a positive experience and we

These unremarkable rulers did not devote much attention to Georgian internal affairs, instead
concentrating on the military campaigns against one another. Georgia finally came under Russian
suzerainty in 1783 when the Persian king Erekle II, compelled by economic difficulties, signed the
Treaty of Georgievsk with Catherine II. The agreement guaranteed autonomy, protection, and
territorial integrity in return for becoming a Russian vassal. Nevertheless, the Russians under
Alexander I, reneged on the treaty, deposing the Persian royalty and installing military governors in

Straight Hair Vs Clean Hair
People who dye their hair commonly have straight or slightly wavy hair. I have seen numerous
people with straight hair get highlights, streaks, or even color their whole head. But one thing
that is uncommon, almost rare is people with colored my type of hair. My type of hair can be
described as curly, kinky, frizzy, natural, or even as afro hair. Growing up I have seen very few
people with color their afro hair. Not only in my hometown, but nearly everywhere I have been to
and even in the media. I want to know why dyed straight hair is more common than dyed afro hair.
Whether that must do with the effects hair dyehas to natural hair. Or the price and extended effort
of taking care of dyed hair. Or even the way hair trends are portrayed in the media and by
celebrities When dyeing darker hair, bleach is needed to lighten the color for the actual hair dye
to color the hair. Bleach is harmful to the hair as it causes dryness and breakage. Natural hair is
usually dark and would need to be bleached if it were going to be dyed, but the last thing it needs
is more dryness. From experience, my type of hair dries out easily and needs numerous other
products to keep it moisturized. Hair dye is purely chemical which might affect curl patterns and
the overall look of the hair. Convenience stores don t always carry the best quality products for an
at home treatment and don t have the best selection of products for different hair types. While

Bishop And The Candlesticks Essay
The Bishop and the Candlesticks is a selection of Les MisГ©rables about the criminal Jean
Valjean and his life changing interaction with an aged bishop, Monseigneur François Bienvenu.
Here we find Jean just released from prison, and after traveling a long distance, he cannot find an
inn that will take him or someone that will sell him food. Finally, he finds himself at the door of
M. Bienvenu, who welcomes him in, gives him a bed and food. Jean, although surprised by the
bishop s kindness, steals silver dishes and flees in the night. Although others may disagree on the
virtues of the bishop, saying it was his duty, The Bishop and the Candlesticks provide an example
of virtues and the differences between good and evil. The Bishop is compared to that of a Saint,

It was more than a smile an almost a radiance. On his forehead rested the indescribable reflection of
an unseen light (PDF, p.405).
This saintly character, as Bernard Mayo would describe, is more than the sum of its parts
(Pojman, p. 414). Instead of killing the sleeping man of such great virtue, Jean Valjean spares
his life and in the end finds a hero to base the rest of his life upon. O.J. Urmson would describe
the bishop as doing his duty in contexts in which fear would lead most men not to do it, and does
so without effort (Pojman, p. 417). The bishop took in the criminal when no one else would, even
the site of Valjean made people afraid.
According to Aristotle and his theory of means, Jean Valjean can see the bishop as saintly and
his sister and housekeeper can see the bishop as foolhardy. Yet it is difficult to not see that Hugo
is making a point to show the bishop as a saintly figure, one to demonstrate to Jean that there is
good within and evil acts are not the only option for the ex convict. The bishop changes the life of
Valjean, by giving him a role model to base his new life

Anne Sexton Wanting To Die
In her poem Wanting to Die , Anne Sexton explains the feeling of suicidal ideation to an unnamed
individual. Following the form of contemporary poets, she takes an incredibly taboo topic and
discusses it in a conversational tone, thereby shocking the reader and forcing them to think about
the issue in an unconventional way. The poem lacks a rhyme scheme and meter, although it is
structured into three line stanzas, and thus aligns with the free verse style of writingtypical of
contemporary poets. Since you ask, Anne Sexton opens her poem with these threes words, throwing
the reader into the middle of a seemingly ordinary conversation (Sexton 1). Neither the name of the

Sexton refers to these as still born (another topic too sensitive to be discussed in everyday
conversation) in order to describe the lack of choice in life or death (Sexton 19). Perhaps
confusing at first, the next 2 lines clarify that suicide has only known death and desires so
strongly to return to that dazzled state of nothingness (Sexton 20). Sexton, in a most
disconcerting fashion, states that even innocent children, unaware of the trials of life, would be
fond of a sensation so sweet. Such a bold and shocking statement would have challenged one s
ideas about suicide and promote thought into the sensitive matter. She calls suicide itself a
drug, and once someone has tried it, their new passion in life is to seek and find that drug
(Sexton 23). Furthermore, she compares death to a bone, sad and bruised, hurting and a
permanent part of her being. In a sort of twisted logic she implies that life is somehow an injury
that must be undone. It s a kind of balance between self pity and self expression that is commonly
found in confessional poets. A belief common among depressed populations is that they are
inherently bad people, simply for existing. Sexton expresses this in the last line of this stanza
comparing her body to a cruel prison that must be broken to release her captive breath. The
complex an overlapping analogies for death challenge the reader to pay

Similarities Between Sale And The Crucible
If you were granted the power of authority above others, how would you control it? The Crucible
is mainly about how Abigail accuses many innocent people in Salem of witchcraft and working for
the devil. This event leads to the hanging of many people simply because of Abigail s vengeance
against Elizabeth in order to get together with John, although in the end Abigail gained nothing.
Miller, the author of The Crucible is trying to convey the message that in times of chaos, people
may be blinded from the truth, making the truth indistinguishable the from the many lies. The
events that take place in the play The Crucible are comparable to the events of Rosa ParksBus
Boycott, because both events depict how power is gained through the course of your actions.
One cold evening in the December of 1995, Rosa Parks refused to give her seat up to a white
male on her bus ride back from work. Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat led to her getting
arrested by James Blake, a white man who demanded that her along with 3 other black women
move from that area. Rosa Parks being arrested caused new issues to arise. The African
American people protested as they felt they were not being treated as equally as the white
people. Parks could be described as a brave woman who stood behind changing racism and
segregation in the world. Back then, segregation was a huge problem against the white people, but

Terrorism and Counter Terrorism
May 15, 2016
In the United State s led Global War on Terror; the best battles are the ones won before they even

Internal Defense is the major military to military advisory effort under National Assistance 1. What
that means is Special Operations Forces and conventional military forces train, advise and assist,
and equip partner nation forces to carry out operations in their own area of operations. From
Morocco to Libya, Foreign Internal Defense is conducted to not only protect the host nation s
citizens, but also to help strengthen the security of the United States. With the growing threat the
Islamic State presents to North Africa, FID has been an excellent strategy to counter terrorism in the
region by strengthening partner nation forces and enhancing the trainer s skillset, building
relationships between the United States and partner nations, and successfully taking the fight to the
Islamic State; however, its efficacy has yet to be proven. The joint military definition of FID is

I AM Malala
I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai is a story that shows how a young Muslim girl stood up for
education and changed the world. When Malala Yousafzai was ten years old, the first female prime
minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, was shot dead. Young Malala had witnessed this act of
terrorism on tv, and from that day forward, she promised herself that she would continue the fight
for peace and democracy in Pakistan. Malala went on to be interviewed by her local TV stations
and newspapers. During these interviews, Malala would speak on the topic of education for all. At
age 13, Malala s school was invited to take part in the District Child Assembly swat. Malala was

Importance Of The 1st Amendment
In total, America has 27 Amendments all together but which one is the most important you may
ask, well that s was this is about. I believe that the 1st Amendment is the most important out of
them all . The 1st Amendment is freedom of Religion, Speech, Press, Assembly, and Petition.
Freedom of religion and speech are one of the best things a country can have and also something
everyone believes they should have. Everyone should be able to say or do anything they want
without fear. Also freedom of press is the right to publish newspapers, magazines, and other printed
matter without governmental restriction and subject only to the laws of libel, obscenity, sedition,
etc. ( www.dictionary.com) . Freedom of Assembly is The right to hold public meetings and form
associations without interference by the government. Freedom of peaceful assembly is guaranteed
by the First Amendment to the Constitution.
Last but not least is Freedom of Petition According to ( The Free Dictionary , 2017) a formal
written request to a court for an order of the court. It is distinguished from a complaint in a
lawsuit which asks for damages and/or performance by the opposing party. Petitions include
demands for writs, orders to show cause, modifications of prior orders, continuances, dismissal of
a case, reduction of bail in criminal cases, a decree of distribution of an estate, appointment of a

They include fantasy properties by encompassing science with the improbable. For example in
Dali s The Persistence of Memory, he paints realistic, everyday objects in a strange pattern in an
unusual landscape, for example, it is improbable that clocks would be melting, and in a desert.
But the idea of time dilation is a probability, so Dali uses the improbable to explain the probable.
This is the same for A Trip to the Moon. Humans have always questioned the existence of
extraterrestrial forms. In MГ©liГЁs film, it is improbable that the group of astronomers would
be able to travel to space without the consideration for the lack of oxygen in space. However, as
scientists were focusing only on the survival in space and the transportation there, MГ©liГЁs
focuses on the astronauts adventure on the moon. He ignores the probable and approaches the
existence of extraterrestrial life in a fantastical way by interacting the astronauts and the moon
dwellers. In Martin s painting, Martin envisions the apocalypse straight out of the Bible. However,
in the Book of Revelations, the only visual given is through the text. It is most closely relatable to
the text in Revelations 6. The text explores a few details in the catastrophic sight, such as
mountains falling. Martin takes this reference from the Bible and combines it with his studies of
dinosaur bones and fossils as a scientist. Martin could be combining science with the improbable in
this detail of the painting, but that depends on whether he believed God

Comparing The Hero s Journey In The Girl Of Fire And Thorns
Hero s Journey Essay
Elisa s Journey
In the first few pages of The Girl of Fire and Thorns, Elisa had no clue she was going to be
kidnapped, escape and fight off the inveirnes, join the malfico, and actually use her godstone for
good purposes. The Girl of Fire and Thorns may seem like a simple book, but this book has a lot of
detail and action that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The character Elisa in the book The
Girl of Fire and Thorns follows the heros journey through a series of events, showing she is an
archetypal hero. This can be proven by her dropping her old life and walking miles and miles a
day, getting kidnapped by the inveirne and finding a way out, and Elisa being able to fight the
inveirne for the godstone.

After she found Humberto, she met up with everyone else and they joined a group called the
malficio. It was their new communities group or religion for say. She winded up meeting someone
named Father Nicandro, who had a ton of special amulets and godstones. That helped her and her
fellow people kill all the inveirne, and get all the godstones back. A massive boom rocks the
world as it explodes into a wave of heat and shimmering air. My hair blows back from my face; my
skirt plasters against my legs. Windows shatter, and glass falls in a glittering wash all around me.
The animagi scream. I watch in horror and relief as their bodies wrinkle and wither and dissolve
into a blackened dust. (P. 415).
The book The Girl of Fire and Thorns is definitely a rollercoaster of emotions . The main
character Elisa goes through a lot of serious changes in the book. She started off being a 16 year
old, overweight princess. But after being kidnapped and having to re learn her ways, she is a
totally different person. Therefore, the character Elisa in the book The Girl of Fire and Thorns
proves herself to be an archetypal hero because she dropped her old life and had to walk miles and
miles a day, being kidnapped by the inveirne and finding a way out, and fighting the inveirne and

Arguments Of Proponents And Opponents Of The Safe And...
After presenting the arguments of proponents and opponents of the Safe and Accurate Food
Labeling Act. This paper will now analyze each issue to determine the strengths and weakness of
each side s argument. One argument that proponents make about genetically modified food is that
they are no different than natural foods. An argument that opponents make is that genetically
modified organisms have not been tested enough because they are fairly new and some scientist
truly don t have an understanding of how it will affect humans bodies differently than natural foods.
Proponents argue that genetically engineered foods have no needs for labeling; it would lead to
consumer confusion. Opponents argue that consumers have the right to know what is in the foods
they are eating and supporting.
Analysis and evaluation of proponent s evidence
The analysis and evaluation the proponent s use for of the Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act
come from many scientific organizations and governmental organizations. Proponents believe that
it is more important to try to feed the world, and solve world hunger than it is to worry about
labeling genetically engineered foods. Since their argument is about how genetically engineered
foods should not have a labeling requirement due to the fact these foods are no different it would
essentially cause more confusion to the public. Some studies conducted by the companies
producing the biotech crops like Monsanto, did not show any negative effects on mice

The Effect Of Monetary Policy On Determination Of Coal Prices
To examine the effect of monetary policy on determination of coal prices in the U.S., we rely on
a dynamic framework of cointegrated vector autoregression (CVAR). The prerequisite
requirement for the application of the CVAR approach is that the selected variables must be
nonstationary (i.e., I(1) series). The presence of a unit root in the variables is thus tested using the
Dickey Fuller generalized least squares (DF GLS) test (Elliott et al., 1996). Panel A of Table 1
reports the results of the DF GLS test. Since the null hypothesisof a unit root cannot (can) be
rejected for any of the levels (first differences) of the three variables at the 5% level, all the series
are found to be nonstationary I(1) processes.
It should be emphasized, however, that because of inability of the DF GLS to capture the
possibility of a structural break, the power of the test is likely to decrease with an undetected
structural break in the series, thereby providing misleading results. For completeness, therefore,
we investigate unit roots in the presence of a structural break using the Perron Vogelsang (PV)
test. The results of the PV test are summarized in Panel B of Table 1. As seen in the DF GLS test,
the null cannot (can) be rejected for all the levels (first differences) of the variables, confirming
that all the three variables are I(1) series. Hence, it is certain that the underlying series are
apparently all I(1) processes even after taking into account a structural break in the series,

Why I Had Taken A Break From Blogging Essay
Why I Had Taken a Break from Blogging
I feel like I owe you all an explanation. I said in my Blue Moon Cinnamon Horchata Ale Bread
Pudding recipe post that I would inform y all on what s been going on and why I stepped away
from blogging for several months. I thought after I wrote that post I was going to type up this post
and publish it the next week, but it wasn t that simple for me.
I m still learning just how to be transparent to all of y all while also keeping some things private
and close to my heart. What sense does it make for me to try to build a personal brand to
authentically connect with readers and then feel like I can t really share my life with them? If you

My mind is a lot stronger than my body and I can t lie and say that it doesn t bother my state of
mind on most days. I have to fight against the pain that I feel everyday and try not to complain
about it unless it s completely unbearable at that moment. It can take a good thirty minutes to an
hour to get out of bed when I wake up because my limbs might be temporarily paralyzed or my
heart is tachycardic and there s nothing I can do about it. But once I get myself together after I
wake up, I say a prayer, think positive thoughts and go on about my day!
Because my days are so unpredictable, I literally have to take one day at a time. Planning upcoming
days can seem like an impossible feat because I never know how my body will respond. Most
bloggers are great at planning their blog schedules ahead of time and sticking to it. To be honest, I
started to develop blogger envy because I would read posts about how well other bloggers could
stick to their schedule and because of their consistency, their following grew exponentially. I was
struggling with growing my following on social networks because I couldn t be as consistent as
them. That destroyed my inner peace and I never should of let that happen because most of those
bloggers don t face the same challenges as me and I shouldn t have been comparing my grass to
anyone else s, to begin with!

Charles Lindbergh Aviation History
The aviation history started in 1783 with an inedited public demonstration by the Montgolfier

cross the Atlantic Ocean. To understand the why Lindbergh turned the best aviator of all time, it is

how was the sensation felt by Charles Lindbergh when he arrived in Paris with The Spirit of St.
Louis Well, I made it , smiled Lindbergh, as the little white monoplane came to a halt in the
middle of the field and the first vanguard reached the plane. Lindbergh made a move to jump out.
Twenty hands reached for him and lifted him out as if he were a baby. Several thousands in a
minute were around the plane. Thousands more broke the barriers of iron, rails round the field,
cheering wildly. Here it is evident how people in Paris were wishing Lindbergh success in his

According to Conley, there are two forms of deviance, formal and informal. The informal aspect is one where there is no law being broken but more along the lines of breaking a social norm. The second form of deviance is formal and this is where a law is broken and you will be punished accordingly (Conley, D. 2017. P. 191). In my image above the white man is drinking out of the colored water fountain which back in the 1940 s was illegal and this is a formal deviance, or crime, which is the violation of laws enacted by society. • 4. Air Driven Engine Project Report CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION At first glance the idea of running an engine on air seems to be too good to be true. Actually, if we can make use of air as an aid for running an engine it is a fantastic idea. As we all know, air is all around us, it never runs out, it is non polluting and it is free. An Air Driven Engine makes use of Compressed Air Technology for its operation. Compressed Air Technology is now widely preferred for research by different industries for developing different drives for different purposes. The Compressed Air Technology is quite simple. If we compress normal air into a cylinder the air would hold some energy within it. This energy can be utilized for useful purposes. When this compressed air expands, the energy is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fig. 2.1 working of two stroke engine There are no traditional valves in a two stroke engine. In a two stroke the engines fires once every revolution. This makes the engine highly efficient and lightweight compared to four stroke systems. Rather than entering through valves, the fuel/air mixture enters through an intake port and exhaust exits out of an exhaust port. In place of traditional valves the two stroke engine uses the piston s position to force out exhaust or suck in fuel mixture. Reeds are vital to a two stroke system. The reeds are placed between the intake manifold and the carburetor, open and close to allow the fuel / air mixture to enter the case of the engine and trap it, and ensure the proper exchange of gasses in the engine. This procedure might sound complex, but it is, in fact, extremely effective and easy to understand. The whole cycle can be explained as follows: 1) As the piston moves from bottom dead center to top dead center it creates a vaccum to draw the fuel / air mixture through the carburetor and past the reed valve assembly. 2) The piston moves down from top dead center to bottom dead center. The reed closes, causing the pressure to build in the cylinder. The movement of the piston uncovers the intake port and pressurized the fuel / air mixture. 3) The piston now moves up from bottom dead center to top dead center, effectively ending a cycle and starting another. By activating the body s own immune system, immunotherapy puts to use the body s own powerful anticancer mechanisms to achieve a response against the cancerous cells. On the other hand, specific immunotherapy targets tumor antigens on cancer cells. One type of specific immunotherapy is the cancer treatment vaccine. To prevent riots within the empire and attacks from outside of it, they utilized their army and roads, natural and manmade borders, strict Roman laws and even their circuses and bread as ways to keep the Roman Empirestrong. It was these 4 points that kept the empire thriving for as long as it did. The Roman Army was an extremely skilled and powerful force that almost never was defeated. Their incredibly good fighting techniques helped with the control and safety of the empire. To keep order in the empire they had a civil guard maintaining peace. In 2009, another group of scientists found nanodiamonds in the sediment layer dating back to the Younger Dryas a period of glacial dewarming. Because these nanodiamonds needed conditions similar to that of cosmic impacts to form, they concluded that a large group of comets might have impacted the Earth, causing the Pleistocene extinction (Kennett et. al, 2009). Although the research done on late Pleistocene extinctions was extensive, the conclusions for these explanatory models contradicted one another. Amid these conclusions, Faith and Surovell derived their question from the fact that one cannot develop explanations for this phenomenon without knowing whether the extinction was a long term process or a single event. They hypothesized that the extinction during the North American late Pleistocene was a single event that occurred between 12,000 and 10,000 radiocarbon years B.P. (Faith and Surovell, 2009). In order to test their hypothesis, they created a statistical test. This rule allows a player, who does not play a defensive position, to hit in place of the pitcher. The rule was created because pitchers, most of whom are notoriously bad hitters, were basically a free out for the opposing team. However, for some ungodly reason, the new DH rule was only established in one of the two leagues in the MLB. By expanding the DH rule to the National League, the MLB could create and extend more careers for players just like Martinez. Many people against the designated hitter believe having a DH ruins the integrity of the game. They think that teams should need to strategize by having pitchers bunt runners to the next base or force managers to make the tough decision of when to substitute a hitter for the pitcher. People opposed to the DH rule believe it is wrong to change the rules because this game has been played the same way for more than 100 years. This is both a closed minded and ancient way of thinking. Rules are meant to evolve and change over time to adjust to the times. The days of sacrificing at bats to bunt runners over are over. The sacrifice bunt has been virtually destroyed by new statistics and metrics that show how inefficient it is. The game is in need of more offense and expanding the DH rule to both leagues solves that problem and is a necessary evolvement to the sport. Over the past few years, pitching has been dominant and the officials in the MLB offices have looked for new ways to increase offensive production. Bishop And The Candlesticks Essay The Bishop and the Candlesticks is a selection of Les MisГ©rables about the criminal Jean Valjean and his life changing interaction with an aged bishop, Monseigneur FranГ§ois Bienvenu. Here we find Jean just released from prison, and after traveling a long distance, he cannot find an inn that will take him or someone that will sell him food. Finally, he finds himself at the door of M. Bienvenu, who welcomes him in, gives him a bed and food. Jean, although surprised by the bishop s kindness, steals silver dishes and flees in the night. Instead of killing the sleeping man of such great virtue, Jean Valjean spares his life and in the end finds a hero to base the rest of his life upon. O.J. The bishop took in the criminal when no one else would, even the site of Valjean made people afraid. According to Aristotle and his theory of means, Jean Valjean can see the bishop as saintly and his sister and housekeeper can see the bishop as foolhardy. Following the form of contemporary poets, she takes an incredibly taboo topic and discusses it in a conversational tone, thereby shocking the reader and forcing them to think about the issue in an unconventional way. The poem lacks a rhyme scheme and meter, although it is structured into three line stanzas, and thus aligns with the free verse style of writingtypical of contemporary poets. Since you ask, Anne Sexton opens her poem with these threes words, throwing the reader into the middle of a seemingly ordinary conversation (Sexton 1). Sexton refers to these as still born (another topic too sensitive to be discussed in everyday conversation) in order to describe the lack of choice in life or death (Sexton 19). Perhaps confusing at first, the next 2 lines clarify that suicide has only known death and desires so strongly to return to that dazzled state of nothingness (Sexton 20). Sexton, in a most disconcerting fashion, states that even innocent children, unaware of the trials of life, would be fond of a sensation so sweet. Such a bold and shocking statement would have challenged one s ideas about suicide and promote thought into the sensitive matter. She calls suicide itself a drug, and once someone has tried it, their new passion in life is to seek and find that drug (Sexton 23). Furthermore, she compares death to a bone, sad and bruised, hurting and a permanent part of her being. In a sort of twisted logic she implies that life is somehow an injury that must be undone. It s a kind of balance between self pity and self expression that is commonly found in confessional poets. A belief common among depressed populations is that they are inherently bad people, simply for existing. Sexton expresses this in the last line of this stanza comparing her body to a cruel prison that must be broken to release her captive breath. The Crucible is mainly about how Abigail accuses many innocent people in Salem of witchcraft and working for the devil. Miller, the author of The Crucible is trying to convey the message that in times of chaos, people may be blinded from the truth, making the truth indistinguishable the from the many lies. The events that take place in the play The Crucible are comparable to the events of Rosa ParksBus Boycott, because both events depict how power is gained through the course of your actions. Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat led to her getting arrested by James Blake, a white man who demanded that her along with 3 other black women move from that area. But after being kidnapped and having to re learn her ways, she is a totally different person. Therefore, the character Elisa in the book The Girl of Fire and Thorns proves herself to be an archetypal hero because she dropped her old life and had to walk miles and miles a day, being kidnapped by the inveirne and finding a way out, and fighting the inveirne and getting the ... • 43. Arguments Of Proponents And Opponents Of The Safe And... After presenting the arguments of proponents and opponents of the Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act. This paper will now analyze each issue to determine the strengths and weakness of each side s argument. One argument that proponents make about genetically modified food is that they are no different than natural foods. An argument that opponents make is that genetically modified organisms have not been tested enough because they are fairly new and some scientist truly don t have an understanding of how it will affect humans bodies differently than natural foods. Proponents argue that genetically engineered foods have no needs for labeling; it would lead to consumer confusion. Opponents argue that consumers have the right to know what is in the foods they are eating and supporting. Analysis and evaluation of proponent s evidence The analysis and evaluation the proponent s use for of the Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act come from many scientific organizations and governmental organizations. Proponents believe that it is more important to try to feed the world, and solve world hunger than it is to worry about labeling genetically engineered foods. Since their argument is about how genetically engineered foods should not have a labeling requirement due to the fact these foods are no different it would essentially cause more confusion to the public. Some studies conducted by the companies producing the biotech crops like Monsanto, did not show any negative effects on mice ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. The Effect Of Monetary Policy On Determination Of Coal Prices To examine the effect of monetary policy on determination of coal prices in the U.S., we rely on a dynamic framework of cointegrated vector autoregression (CVAR). The prerequisite requirement for the application of the CVAR approach is that the selected variables must be nonstationary (i.e., I(1) series). The presence of a unit root in the variables is thus tested using the Dickey Fuller generalized least squares (DF GLS) test (Elliott et al., 1996). Panel A of Table 1 reports the results of the DF GLS test. Since the null hypothesisof a unit root cannot (can) be rejected for any of the levels (first differences) of the three variables at the 5% level, all the series are found to be nonstationary I(1) processes. It should be emphasized, however, that because of inability of the DF GLS to capture the possibility of a structural break, the power of the test is likely to decrease with an undetected structural break in the series, thereby providing misleading results. For completeness, therefore, we investigate unit roots in the presence of a structural break using the Perron Vogelsang (PV) test. The results of the PV test are summarized in Panel B of Table 1. As seen in the DF GLS test, the null cannot (can) be rejected for all the levels (first differences) of the variables, confirming that all the three variables are I(1) series. Hence, it is certain that the underlying series are apparently all I(1) processes even after taking into account a structural break in the series, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Why I Had Taken A Break From Blogging Essay Why I Had Taken a Break from Blogging I feel like I owe you all an explanation. I said in my Blue Moon Cinnamon Horchata Ale Bread Pudding recipe post that I would inform y all on what s been going on and why I stepped away from blogging for several months. I thought after I wrote that post I was going to type up this post and publish it the next week, but it wasn t that simple for me. I m still learning just how to be transparent to all of y all while also keeping some things private and close to my heart. What sense does it make for me to try to build a personal brand to authentically connect with readers and then feel like I can t really share my life with them? If you follow me on Twitter (BTW, go follow me @merci_britte) then you get... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... My mind is a lot stronger than my body and I can t lie and say that it doesn t bother my state of mind on most days. I have to fight against the pain that I feel everyday and try not to complain about it unless it s completely unbearable at that moment. It can take a good thirty minutes to an hour to get out of bed when I wake up because my limbs might be temporarily paralyzed or my heart is tachycardic and there s nothing I can do about it. But once I get myself together after I wake up, I say a prayer, think positive thoughts and go on about my day! Because my days are so unpredictable, I literally have to take one day at a time. Planning upcoming days can seem like an impossible feat because I never know how my body will respond. Most bloggers are great at planning their blog schedules ahead of time and sticking to it. To be honest, I started to develop blogger envy because I would read posts about how well other bloggers could stick to their schedule and because of their consistency, their following grew exponentially. I was struggling with growing my following on social networks because I couldn t be as consistent as them. That destroyed my inner peace and I never should of let that happen because most of those bloggers don t face the same challenges as me and I shouldn t have been comparing my grass to anyone else s, to begin with! People that know me personally know ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Charles Lindbergh Aviation History The aviation history started in 1783 with an inedited public demonstration by the Montgolfier brothers. They constructed the first lighter than air, a hot air balloon which brought new ideas in the course of time ( Museum of Flight, 1965). In 1900, the first Zeppelin airship was built by Ferdinand Zeppelin. After two years, an important person who would be noteworthy in the aviation history would be born, named Charles Augustus Lindbergh. Lindbergh was an American man, who turned fall in love by aviation since he was young. On May 20 21, 1927, with twenty five years, Charles Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic Ocean alone and in a nonstop flight becoming famous internationally. Thereby, Charles Augustus Lindbergh is considered the best, of all time, aviator to cross the Atlantic Ocean. To understand the why Lindbergh turned the best aviator of all time, it is necessary to know about his childhood and the events during his life. Lindbergh was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 4, 1902. His parents were Charles August Lindbergh, a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To Paris in 33 1/2 Hours; Flies 1,000 Miles Through Snow and Sleet; Cheering French Carry Him Off Field published in The New York Times on May 22, 1927, the author Edwin James describes how was the sensation felt by Charles Lindbergh when he arrived in Paris with The Spirit of St. Louis Well, I made it , smiled Lindbergh, as the little white monoplane came to a halt in the middle of the field and the first vanguard reached the plane. Lindbergh made a move to jump out. Twenty hands reached for him and lifted him out as if he were a baby. Several thousands in a minute were around the plane. Thousands more broke the barriers of iron, rails round the field, cheering wildly. Here it is evident how people in Paris were wishing Lindbergh success in his journey.
