S Pre-Production
S Most important stage. It is where ideas pop-up from out of
the imagination
S Ideas are given definite form through collaborations –process
called CONCEPTUALIZATION
S This is where the production BLUE PRINT is laid out.

S This is where all concepts are put together to produce the
HARDWARE of the film.
S Also known as the shooting phase
S Sometimes overlap with the Post-production depending on
schedule.

S This is where the WEAVING takes place.
S The movie that you watch on screen is the product of the
editing phase where all other less important scenes are
deleted and the only ones left are the scenes that best help
present what the movie is all about.

7. Administrative Team
S Executive Producer (EP) or Producer – heads the
administrative team. In charge of financing the production
S Line Producers (LP) and Production Managers (PM)
S -- takes care of budgeting, logistics, liaison, licensing,
permits, casting and over-all supervision of the rest of the
cast and crew.
S Legal Officers — in charge of all legal aspects of the
production

8. Creative Team
S Director – heads the creative team. His concepts, visions, and
instructions are the ones being followed by the whole creative
team.
S Assistant Directors – takes charge of second unit shoots, serve as
acting coaches, or stand by the director’s side during filming and
“bark” directions from a megaphone.
S Writer/scriptwriter/copywriter
S Storyboard artist/Visualizer– in charge of making the boards to
illustrate scenes from the script used by the director and
cameraman when composing and framing and blocking during
actual shoot.

9. S Art director – in charge of the production design that
includes costumes, make-up, scenery and props. Staff
includes: costume designer, make-up and prosthetic artist,
property master, wardrobe attendant.
S Director of Photography (DOP) -- also known as
cinematographer or cameraman. Also assists the director in
creating a lighting design. Works with the lighting
technicians, gaffers, key grips, dolly operators, best boys, etc.
