The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Construction began in 1996 under the vision of Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, to unite Muslims and spread the message of peace in Islam. The mosque was completed in 2007 and has 82 domes and four minarets. It contains the world's largest hand-knotted carpet and largest chandelier.
