This document summarizes a study that detected four common viral agents (adenovirus, astrovirus, norovirus, and rotavirus) associated with diarrhea in Libyan children. The study analyzed stool samples from 88 children with diarrhea aged days to 5 years old using commercial enzyme immunoassay kits. It found that 48.8% of samples tested positive for one of the four viruses, with rotavirus detected in 21.6% of samples being the most common. The study concludes these viruses are important causes of diarrhea in Libyan children and more research is needed on larger groups to determine their overall role.
