Gros Morne National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site located on the west coast of Newfoundland. At 1,805 sq km, it is the second largest national park in Atlantic Canada. The park showcases rare examples of continental drift, with ocean crust and mantle rock exposed at the surface. It contains diverse terrain ranging from coastal forests to barren tablelands formed from nutrient-deficient mantle rock. The park supports wildlife like moose and offers hiking trails like the 16 km route up Gros Morne Mountain.
