Engine Basics – Cylinders + Pistons Piston  goes up and down inside  cylinder
Piston  is attached to  crankshaft Piston Crown Gudgeon Pin Connecting Rod (con rod) Bearings (and con rod cap)
Engine Basics - Crankshaft Pistons  attach to the  crankshaft  which is presented to the outside of the engine allowing the power to be used.
