This document discusses electronic libraries and their benefits over traditional libraries. It defines an electronic library as a library where collections are stored in electronic formats and accessible through computers and networks. Electronic libraries allow 24/7 access to resources without physical boundaries, support multimedia components, and enable simultaneous access and retrospective searching. However, challenges include copyright issues, high initial costs, and technical problems like computer viruses or bandwidth limitations. Overall, electronic libraries provide convenient online access and searching of resources that save users time compared to print materials.
The current evolution in Information technology bring major changes in the way of Information communication. Information Communication technology developments opened up new avenues to e-resources publishing in a big way. E- resources is distribution of information in any electronic form such as CD- ROM, Floppy Disk or Magnetic tape or across a computer network like e-journals, E-Books, ETD etc. accessible dial-up bulletin board or on-line services.

Library is the heart of any educational institutions. Nowadays there are two basic form of library, one is traditional library and another is digital library. Traditional library is the library to collection the information in print form like books, journals etc. and digital library is the library to collection information with associated services, where the information is stored in digital format like text, video, audio etc. and accessible over a network. According to Bala and Sagar(2014, 369p.) “Library as an institution has played an important role in the progress of civilization. In the modern age the library users need accurate, current and pinpointed information, and there expectation also high”. Due to lack of time no body have time to visit a library and search catalogue cards. Most of the users prefer the digital resources because these can be used anytime and by everyone over the Internet.

Today, every library is slowly getting digitized. A digital library is a library where you can find digital repositories, or digital collections, and online databases of digital objects. The objects may include text, still images, audio, video, digital documents, or other digital media formats. Most digital libraries provide services for twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and they can be accessed anywhere anytime. No organization can remain relevant in the knowledge economy without facilitating digital library access. This paper examines the impact of digital transformation on libraries. Matthew N. O. ABSTRACT : A digital is an organized collection of electronic resources. Digital library is a very complex and dynamic entity. It has brought phenomenal change in information collection, preservation and dissemination scene of the world. It is complex entity because it completely based on ICT systems. A distinction is often made between content that was created in a digital format, known as born-digital, and information that has been converted from a physical medium, e.g. paper, by digitizing. It should also be noted that not all electronic content is in digital data format. The term hybrid library is sometimes used for libraries that have both physical collections and electronic collections for example: American Memory is a digital library within the Library of Congress.
Access to electronic information resources in librariesavid
Recent advances in the field of Information Technology have already influenced the life in more than one direction. Its impact on the field of Library and Information Science is also quite significant, more so in advanced countries. Most obviously the situation is a resultant of the growth of electronic publishing and of networks that facilitate scholarly communication. Technological advances, especially the Information Technology are facilitating a fascinating change in libraries with a vision and are trying to accommodate all types of media for providing electronic information services to the users in a more convenient and effective way. The article describes various types of eminent Electronic resources used in libraries. It briefly touches their advantages, disadvantages and usage in libraries.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

7. Difference between Hybrid, Electronic & Virtual
Libraries
A library is an organized collection of items of
print (books, magazines, etc.) and non-print (e-
journals, e-magazines, e-books, etc.) along with
the services required to make them available to
a given users or group of users.
A digital library is a library in which collections
are stored in digital formats (as opposed to
print, microform, or other media) and accessible
by computers.
8. An electronic library is a library includes electronic
contents and services. Digital materials are those
sources that are stored, processed and transferred
via digital or electronic mediums. Digital services are
services (such as e-reference) that are delivered
digitally over computer networks.
Virtual library are those library that are not in real
life, it may be a collection of links, data, which are
available on a networks and accessible via internet.
The library does not exist “in real life”. One of the
best examples of a virtual library is the Networked
Computer Science Technical Reports Library
(NCSTRL).
9. ELECTRONIC LIBRARY
E-library provides collaborative search of all type of e-
resources/ on-line resources such as e-journals, e-
books, e-database (purchased or open access).
E-Library is a special library with a focused collection of
digital objects that can include text, visual material, audio
material, video material, stored as electronic media
formats along with means for organizing, storing, and
retrieving the files and media contained in the collection.
These libraries can vary immensely in size and scope,
and can be maintained by individuals, organizations, or
affiliated with established physical library buildings or
institutions, or with academic institutions.
It's an electronic or online library where one can have
access to books, journals, novels, articles, or any other
10. An electronic library is a library in which collections
are stored in electronic formats (magnetic tapes,
microfilm roles, CDs, DVDs, microform, or other
media) and accessible by any medium such as
computer, laptops, I-pads, CD player, DVD player etc.
The electronic information or material may be stored
in an offline server or online which may be accessed
remotely via computer networks.
An electronic library provides both online and offline
services which saves user times and helps users in
the searching of their information or book. The term
electronic library was first coined in 1988 in the report
of Corporation for National Research.
11. Cambridge Dictionary defines e-library as
‘a website that makes books and
other reading materials available to users in e-
form.
What is Electronic Library / E-Library?
An electronic library allows users, to read or refer
any published items from their residence or office
or college via internet. Users are no need to visit
the library directly for their reference.
12. Features of Electronic libraries
No physical boundary. ...

Provides links to different digital objects.
13. Benefits of Electronic Library
E-libraries are the best tool for providing online
resources for research which will make easy to its
users.
Retrospective search is easy and most convenient
than print resource.
Searching of index is also easy.
It supports for searching with the combination of
keyword.
14. Provision for simultaneous access of multiple file.
Provision for print out and saved the down load
items for future references.
The distance learners are also searching their
requirement from e-library.
E-Library provides the benefit to integrated
search to dictionary, encyclopedia, etc. through
the reference desk.
The simplest functionality like Point-and-click
promotes the users interest.
15. Challenges / Disadvantages
The computer viruses, disasters, lack of
standardization for digitized information, quick
degrading properties of digitized material, different
display standard of digital product and its associated
problem, health hazard nature of the radiation from
monitor etc. makes electronic libraries at times
handicap.
