Autonomous inter-university center under UGC.
Head Quarters in Gujarat University Campus, Ahmedabad.
Major player in promoting scholarly communication in India.
OBJECTIVES
Modernize university libraries in India.
Using the technology to utilize the information.
Memorandum of Association gives the primary objectives as:
1.To promote and establish communication facilities.
2.To facilitate academic communications.
3.To undertake system designs and studies.
4.To control and maintain the communication network.
5.To interact with institutions and organizations.
6.Promote research and development.
7.Generate revenue.

To provide effective and efficient access to knowledge.

Strengthen educational institutions with value added services.
