Draft based on drawn draft
Lauren Fitzsimons
Process one
• This is my first stage of making a horror poster
here I have added a black background and I have
added stars using the brush tool. I have noticed
on some of the more detailed horror posters they
have stars to review the film by usually at the top
of the page to attract the audiences attention and
to get other audiences opinions on the film. By
adding this feature I think it looks more
professional and I am happy with them outcome
of using the brushes as appose to using a image
of a star.
Process two
• Here I have made quite a few changes I have
begun adding the text to the page including the
names of those who are reviewing and the names
of actors. I have also tried something different on
this poster because I have used a line that is
considered a convention on the posters which is
‘from the makers of’ this is usually used when the
producers have previously gained a lot of success
with another one of their films this is a good way
to see the standard that their work is at as it
makes people want to watch more.
Process four
• I have added the title here which I have chosen a
different type of font than the other drafts I have
done before this one is dripping with blood and it
also looks good at the size I have chosen as some
can look a lessened quality when resized. The
main difference to this screen shot however is
the image I have used the same image as before
from the internet of the joker and I will change
this at a later stage when I have planned the
make up and outfit for the actor that is chosen.
Here I am now adding a mask to the picture to
take out the background of the image.
Process five
• In this screen shot I am showing the advances
on the billing block and the producers logos
which I have created on Photoshop and placed
them down the bottom of the poster. Many of
the film posters do have the producers names
or logos at the bottom to advertise their film
and make their mark on it.
Process six
• Here I have added the ratings on to the poster
at the top this is the last change – the poster is
now finished at a later stage however I will
need to change the writing to the billing block
and the image when I take my own.
