Portrait survey analysis
Emma Upton conducted a portrait survey analysis with 5 questions. For the first question, 50% of respondents thought her images looked correctly edited while the other 50% thought they were not over-edited. For the second question, 60% thought her image colors could be more vibrant while 40% thought the colors looked correct. For the third question, 50% of respondents selected Image 6 as their favorite, which showed people liked more natural images. For the fourth question, Images 4 and 10 received the most votes as least favorite due to focus and posing issues. For the final question, 50% thought her images maybe could be used in a rock magazine, showing room for improvement.

For the fourth question, images 4 and 10 were the least liked because one was out of focus and the other was a silly pose. For the final question, 50% thought her images might work for a rock magazine with improvement.
Landscape survey analysis
Emma Upton conducted a landscape photography survey to collect feedback on a series of images from Salford Quays. The majority of respondents rated the overall quality as excellent or good. Most felt the images portrayed Salford Quays positively. Respondents thought the use of color enhanced the images but could be improved by toning down vibrant colors. While most liked the brightness, some felt it could be improved by toning down overexposed skies. Most felt the images were correctly edited, but editing could be reduced by taking images on better weather days.

Objects of desire evaluation
- 1. Objects of Desire – Evaluation With my advert I feel like it has turned out almost exactly how I wanted it to. I feel it has both strengths and weaknesses. However even with the weaknesses that are present, I am very proud with the final product. I think one of my main strengths would be that I stuck to my script very well, for example this shot is almost identical to a part of my story board. However one weakness of mine for this project would be that because I was working alone, I struggled to make sure each shot was in focus as I had to be the director and the actor. To overcome this problem I would make someone else sit in front of the camera, focus the shot and once I was happy with it I would then sit in front of it and keep the set up and settings the same so it would stay focused. However I found this tedious after a while but it definitely worked. Another strength would be editing, i definitely enjoy the editing process when I’m doing a project. Before I had even filmed I had an idea of how I would’ve wanted to edit my advert. So when it came to editing, I had a clear view how I wanted it to look. For example, I wanted words appearing on screen like on the example above (Be bold! Strong! Define!) When I filmed that shot purposely left enough space next to my head so I could then fit the words I wanted when editing. Another weakness would be lighting as it was somewhat of a weak point when filming, because all the shots were done inside with not natural lighting. Some of the shots I filmed turned out a bit yellow, due to not much natural lighting. To fix this problem of the yellow lighting, after I put the clips together in I used colour correction in order to make the shots look clearer and get rid of the yellow tinge.

Example of before and after colour correction: Before: After: Overall, I am extremely happy and pleased with how my final edit for my TV advert, however if I was to do this again I would shoot more shots outside so I would have better quality lighting. I would also ask someone to help me with focusing shots, someone who knew how to work a camera. I definitely think it is up to standards and looks quite professional, even with the few weaknesses that occurred.
