A survey was conducted of 40 students aged 16-17. Most enjoyed horror films (27 people) and watched trailers that were 2-3 minutes long. While some only watched certain bits, most watched the full trailer. Respondents preferred trailers that featured music and visuals over dialogue. Popular film titles included The Breakfast Club, 500 Days of Summer, and The Karate Kid. Most watched trailers once a month or less. Trailers were seen as the best way to learn about new films. Respondents thought dramatic music in trailers made an impact and that trailers should engage audiences without revealing entire plots.
