- 2. Klinger trailer – editing inspiration • This is the Klinger trailer done by some A2 media students and I think that the idea of a abandoned factory is really effective because they have taken their idea out on location and really thought about the location and the idea well. I like the editing of the trailer because it adds the history of the story into the trailer as well for example giving the historical context of the factory chemical spill beforehand. The editing is also good because they have added inserts of factory workers into the clip and they have got a news lady talking over the top of it this is very effective and gives a overview of the story very quickly. The pace of the editing is also very effective because it goes very quick and has a flickering element to it. The inserts of the writing to give a background looks good too and I think this is definitely a element to think about putting in our idea.
- 3. The innkeeper – inspiration for camera shots • The camera shots in this trailer are quite good as they show a lot of establishing shots this very quickly paints a picture of what’s going on. The camera angles in this trailer are different as one is on a track moving across the floor slowly this creates suspense and is a good idea to use. The angles are also very interesting there is one that is shot from above so the whole down stairs can be shown.

Batman returns – inspiration for costume The dark knight is a good trailer for costume because it has the joker which wears elaborate make up and his suit is tailored and colourful – the use of the trailers props is also effective as he is linked with tricks he is carrying a card. There are also people in masks this is a trailer convention in horrors to have a mask of some sort hiding the features of the villain.

Inserts of news paper are inserted to show the background inserts and background story to the plot this helps the audience understand the story quicker as it is only to minutes long so there has to be a lot fitted into the time given. Old fashioned footage is also effective because it gives it a creepy haunted feel to the piece. The editing is not quick and this isn’t something I like because as a horror we wanted it to feel jumpy and create suspense.
