I started with a blank 29.7 x 42.0cm canvas and inserted images, adding effects like feathering, lightening, and gradients. I added a drop shadow to one image to give it depth and split the page with a line. Page numbers were added at the top to indicate to readers. Additional images like a lion and skyline were blended and placed to represent the subject and create a sense of movement. A band and title with stylistic flourishes were also included to separate elements and draw the eye.

2. I started off with a 29.7 x 42.0cm blank canvas.

3. I then inserted the chosen image which i cut the background out and feathered around the edge. i also inserted an
image to the background of cracked bricks to which i lightened and added a small gradient.

4. i added a drop shadow the image to give a 3d effect after getting peer
feedback from another student.

5. i then added a line exactly half way in the middle of the page to allow me to
see the individual pages.

6. after this i added the page numbers to indicate the pages to the reader. i put
them at the top of the page as it is common of a rap magazine to locate them
there.

7. I then added the image of the lion to represent the main subject in the article(Lyon). I
blended the image and reduced opacity to make it less dominant behind the main
image i intended to make it like a spray paint effect so i set the blend mode to darker.

8. after this i added the image of the gun to represent more about the subjects
life.

9. I then added the skyline at the bottom of the first page to create an effect of
the subject walking and the city is in the distance as it creates an effect of
moving on.

10. i blended the image of the skyline by reducing opacity and having a color
overlay of only black to create a silhouette effect.

11. i removed the image of the gun as it looked tacky on the page and it was not
needed for the page.

12. Furthermore i added a band across the top of the page to separate the article
from the page numbers to avoid confusion also it is common for magazines to
do this.

13. I added the title of the article which i added a slight stoke to allow to to stand
out.

14. I then added a line through the “o” in “road” for effect as i intended to make
it similar to a road sign as the “riches” uses a dollar sign for the S.

15. i then choose the perfect dimensions for the title which i evenly spaced out
on the page.
