2. The Images in this article features Paramore’s Josh and Zac Farro. This magazine is advertising Rock / pop rock. This is presented through the artists’ representation. From the few photos used readers can acknowledge everything about the band and the magazine. The photos used aren’t serious – they clearly represent their personality and the genre of the music. The Text in this article is an interview, the text of the questions is bold capitals and the text of the answers is in a simple black font, this is effective as every section is separate and easy to read. The style of the text is quite plain and basic, it is clear, easy to read and easy to follow. The article Layout has been clearly organised over the two pages. A full body shot image is centred in the middle of the page; it fills the height of the magazine. The layout of the text has been designed around the image; this creates an interesting type setting. The Style of the magazine article is similar to the style of the magazine cover. They both share similar colour schemes: whites, blues, and blacks and also share similar font styles. This shows the readers that the magazine has consistency and has developed a house style. This tells the reader the magazine is structured, planned and organized, making it easier to read.

3. This double page spread from Kerrang contrasts with the previous from Rock Sound. The colour palette here is a lot darker and has been kept simple, as the main attraction is the images. The article itself has used an inverted white on black type-setting. This reflects the ‘inverted’ style of the magazine. This DPS reflects the overall house style of the magazine, as well as representing the band in question in a way which reflects their music. The Images in this article features Bring Me The Horizon. The magazine is advertising Rock / metal and we can gather this through the bands appearance i.e. their clothing, pose and overall image. From the few photos used readers can acknowledge everything about the band and the magazine. The photos used are all fun images – images of fans at their gig, silly poses and even Mr Blobby! Readers can gather a clear image of what the band are about . The Double page spread could appeal to both male and female teenagers and young adults between an age range of 16-23. The male audience will be attracted to the dark, rebellious side of the magazine and may want to aspire to be like him, the pictures themselves support this as the band are presented with an outgoing, ‘we don’t care’ attitude. However certain fans of his may admire that aspect about him. The female audience may also be attracted to the rebellious, alternative attitude and may also find them attractive, however I feel as though the article appeals more to men than women.

4. This DPS, again taken from Kerrang, uses the majority of the space for the main photograph. This contrasts greatly with the previous Kerrang DPS, as everything has been kept to a minimum. The colour scheme is again simple, however this time using a bit more colour. Orange and black could denote traditional Halloween colours. This could suggest the band are dark and mysterious, which they seem to have been portrayed as In this article. The Image in this article features Paramore. This magazine is also advertising Rock, metal and also punk. This has been represented, also through the bands appearance. From the photo used readers would assume the band are dark and serious. The photo used, in my view, wrongly represents the band as their genre is more pop rock, which isn’t clearly presented. I think this Double Page Spread could also appeal to male and female audiences. Male readers would be attracted to the dark image filled with attitude, and would also be attracted to front woman Hayley Williams. Female readers may also be attracted to the image and it’s presentation, however I feel they would more likely be drawn into the article as they would be more interested in the subject and may idolise Hayley and/or find the male band members attractive. The article Layout is divided into two sections, the text and the image. The image takes over the whole of the page; it fills the double pages, making the band look serious and dominant to the readers. I think that the image is more overriding than the text; I agree that the text has has some form of importance, but the image is defiantly more dominant.
