The paper presents a distortion-aware concurrent multipath transfer (CMT-DA) solution aimed at improving mobile video streaming quality over heterogeneous wireless networks. The approach introduces video distortion into the multipath data transfer decision-making process and includes three main phases: path status estimation and congestion control, video flow rate allocation, and delay-controlled data retransmission. Experimental results indicate that CMT-DA outperforms existing methods in terms of video quality, goodput, and inter-packet delay.
