This document surveys call admission control (CAC) schemes in Long-Term Evolution (LTE) networks, which are crucial for managing the growing demand for mobile services while ensuring quality of service (QoS). It classifies various CAC schemes into four categories: bandwidth reservation (BR), bandwidth degradation (BD), combined BR and BD, and non-BR and non-BD schemes, discussing their operation, advantages, and limitations. Additionally, it provides a comparative analysis of these schemes and highlights open research issues for future work.
