A didactic sequence is a group of activities designed to achieve an educational objective. The activities must follow a specific order and be organized so that each activity serves a purpose and together they work to meet a larger goal. A key characteristic is that the sequence tests students' prior knowledge and adapts to their learning levels, uses meaningful content that challenges students, promotes mental activity and new concept development, and encourages autonomy and self-awareness of learning. The goal is to develop students' knowledge, skills, and attitudes to apply outside the classroom.
