Dialogue Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Dialogue Essay" can be both challenging and rewarding. The
difficulty lies in the nuanced nature of dialogue itself. While it may seem straightforward,
crafting a compelling dialogue essay requires a delicate balance of creativity, authenticity, and
precision.
One of the challenges is to ensure that the dialogue feels natural and serves a purpose within the
context of the essay. It's not just about transcribing a conversation; it's about using dialogue as a
tool to convey meaning, develop characters, and advance the narrative. Striking this balance can
be tricky, as excessive dialogue without substance may lead to a lack of depth, while too little
dialogue might make the essay feel dry and uninspiring.
Moreover, capturing the authenticity of speech while adhering to grammatical and stylistic
conventions is another hurdle. Dialogue often involves colloquial language, interruptions, and
pauses, and maintaining these elements while still ensuring readability can be a demanding task.
Additionally, weaving dialogue seamlessly into the overall structure of the essay requires careful
consideration. The essay should have a coherent flow, and each piece of dialogue should
contribute meaningfully to the central theme or argument. Stray too far, and the essay may lose
focus; stick too closely, and it might feel forced.
Despite these challenges, writing a dialogue essay offers a unique opportunity to engage readers
and bring ideas to life. When done successfully, it allows for a dynamic and immersive
experience, creating a connection between the audience and the characters or ideas presented in
the essay.
In conclusion, tackling a dialogue essay demands a thoughtful blend of creativity, linguistic skill,
and narrative strategy. It's a journey that, while challenging, can lead to a rich and rewarding
piece of writing.

Similarities Between The Roman Empire And The Fall Of
The...
Contributions of both the fall of the Han Dynasty and the Western Roman empire
were very common. For example, both the Han Dynasty and the Western Roman
empire fell because of economic issues such as corruption. The great empires also
fell because of diseases such as small pox and malaria. In fact, when the Han Dynasty
and the Western Roman empiretraded goods, they also traded the diseases to one
another. Along with economy corruption the Han Dynasty and the Western Roman
empirealso fell because of their corrupt leaders. In contrast, the Han Dynasty fell due
to weak tax collectors, too many people and too little land, plus many revolts. Western
Rome fell because of unemployment, not enough people to do necessary jobs, and
the idea that the people could create their own government and take over the existing
government.
The Han Dynasty and the Western Roman empire both fell due to economic issues.
One key contributor was they both underwent economic corruption. In the Han
Dynasty, corrupt lords tore down the empire by asking the Emperor for land, which
they received. Lords became greedy and wanted more land, so they killed off their
neighbors and took their land. The corrupt leaders of Rome spent money on
themselves and the military which was not beneficial to the rest of the Empire
because they sent their troops into suicidal fights. In contrast the Western Roman
empire struggled with unemployment, while the Hans struggled with weak tax
collectors. The Western Roman
Leonardo Da Vinci s Lady With Unicorn
In 1934 1936 Raphael restored a female portrait Lady with Unicorn. Leonardo Da
Vinci had painted this piece in the year 1505. Leonardo was a high renaissance
painter and this picture is a high renaissance piece. The time period of when it was
created and the idealized figure, clarity, and bright colors depict the type of
renaissance piece. In the portrait a lady with long blonde hair, and blue eyes is
holding a greenish colored unicorn in her lap, which gives the portrait its name. It
was an oil painting that was applied to a wooden canvas. This piece was actually
inspired by Leonardo Da Vincis Mona Lisa(Young women with Unicorn , n.d.). The
subject in the portrait has been identified as Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The
painting was attributed to Raphaelwhen he restored it. Removal of a heavy repainting
revealed the unicorn in this portrait. The unicorn is a representation of purity in the
medieval romance in place of Catherine s wheel. In the painting the five elements of
renaissance perspective are all portrayed.
The Lady with Unicorn shows linear perspective, aerial perspective, diminution of
size, and overlap. The Lady with Unicorn shows one point linear perspective in the

The red of her dress is used to make her body stick out from the rest of the painting.
Blonde hair that surrounds her faced is used to make her face pop out from the
rest of the painting. The blues in the background are used to gradually diminish the
detail and makes a viewer pay more attention to the Lady s face. The greens that
are used in the portrait are used to recede the detail to her face as well. There is
green on her dress that pushes out the focus more to the top of her body and face.
Warm colors in this picture help make certain features pop out to direct visual focus

Nuclear Energy Is Not Equal
Nuclear Energy Is Not Equal To Future
Nowadays, a growing trend in many countries to use nuclear energy as their mainly
source of energy production. Many commentators are holding the opinion that
nuclear energy is the greener energy comparing to the fossil fuel, can bring a great
number of benefits to our society. However, the nuclear energy cannot be the future
energy production, because there are many evidences can against the opinion from
those people, showing that the nuclear energy actually bring a large number of
drawbacks to people s life and the world, and cannot be the mainly energy
production. In fact, he nuclear energy is not actually green energy. It generates so

While the radioactive waste is generated, it will cause many problems, bringing
some kinds of influence. If the radioactive waste does not stored properly, it will
bring a real detrimental outcome for our environment. It is because that nuclear
waste will leak radiations if the place people used to store those waste is
inappropriate. Actually, radioactive waste comes from various kinds of different
sources, and can be divided into three vary extent levels, which are the low level,
intermediate level, or high level waste. Hospitals, laboratories, and industry are
the places low level waste which includes paper, rags, clothing, and filters
containing small amounts of short lived radioactive isotopes produced. The low
level waste makes up 90% of the volume of radiation waste, however, those waste
only has 1% of the radioactivity. Intermediate level waste is consist of resins and
chemical sludge. As for the high level waste, while it only contributes 3% of the
volume of all disposed radioactive material, however, it accounts for more than 95%
of the radioactivity (Oelkers par. 1). For nuclear power, various environmental
problems are mainly consist of radioactive waste. According to Wolfson s work, the
impact of the radiation waste will last for a long time, even thousands of years, and it
will also cause a great number of different kinds of accidents and the
decommissioning of old nuclear plants . Actually, the radioactive
Essay Significance of the Number 3 in Fairy Tales
Significance of the Number 3 in Fairy Tales
Numbers do not exist. They are creations of the mind, existing only in the realm of
understanding. No one has ever touched a number, nor would it be possible to do so.
You may sketch a symbol on a paper that represents a number, but that symbol is not
the number itself. A number is just understood. Nevertheless, numbers hold symbolic
meaning. Have you ever asked yourself serious questions about the significance,
implications, and roles of numbers? For example, Why does the number ten denote a
change to double digits? Is zero a number or a non number? Or, the matter this paper
will address: Why does the number three hold an understood and symbolic
importance?
My interest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, I offer what I call the Utility Based Approach, which attempts to explain
the prominence of three by noting its usefulness in telling fairy tales. Indeed, the
Utility Based Approach proposes that three, being the smallest possible number that
denotes a group, is a useful entity when recalling a tale whose audience is assumed to
either (1) desire mental relaxation, or (2) lack advanced/complex mental capabilities.
Background/Historical Context
Three has a logical reason for its important role throughout history. It is not merely
the number that happens to fall between two and four. Three is the union of oneness
and duality. It is the first number that is a combination of various previous numbers
(assuming, as most societies have done, that zero is not a number). One and two are
special as they are representations of oneness and otherness , but three starts the
procession of all other numbers to follow (the set of numbers, 3 infinity, that can be
the sum of a variety of previous numbers) (Symbolism). Whether this is realized
consciously or subconsciously, it is an undeniable truth that seems hard to avoid.
Indeed, this idea could be what gave rise to the spiritual significance of three.
Three has always played an important part in the Judeo/Christian beliefs, as Ken
Bassett outlines in his Pastor Note No. 138. First, and probably most
The Role Of Teens, And Teen Stereotypes In The Breakfast
Club
The Breakfast Club was an extraordinary film that dealt with teenagers in detention.
Although it looked like a regular movie, it had deep meanings involved with it.
The movie showcases a circle of teens who are completely different from each
other. At first they didn t interact with one another, but as the movie goes on they
begin to become close friends. The Breakfast Club does a great job at
exemplifying the dynamics of a group in society because there are so many
associations of people who interact with each other even if the interests are
completely different. The characters in the movie move from an out group to an in
group because they all felt like outsiders towards each other, but as time was going
on in detention they were starting to really like each other. They became an in
group towards the end of the movie because they made their own grouping, which
they referred to it as The Breakfast Club . When each of the students came into
detention, they each had their own identities and their own underlying issues that
no one knew about. When they started to open up and grow closer with each other,
their identities changed all together. They were beginning to show their real
personalities within each other and at the end of the film they all embraced who
they really were on the inside and who everyone else was. In every high school
film, there are always the teenage stereotypes that are seen. In The Breakfast Club,
the five students each represented the major stereotypes that people join with high
school. Claire was considered the preppy popular girl, John was considered the
bad boy, Allison was considered the weird emo girl, Andrew was considered the
school s best athlete and jock, and lastly Brian was the nerd. The crazy thing about
this was that those stereotypes didn t even match the students, those stereotypes are
what they used to hide their real identities. John wasn t the real bad boy, he was
insecure and scared. Claire didn t like being popular because she hated to agree with
everyone, she wanted to be herself but she couldn t around certain people. Brian didn
t want to be the nerd, but his parents made him become one. Brian was just as cool
and chill as the other students but he could never show

Casti Connubai On Christian Marriage
1.Christ dignified chaste wedlock before the coming of Christ by establishing it as a
form of companionship between two people who will come together to have
children. He designed this union to be the foundation of society. Christ further
dignified wedlock by taking the Church as His bride.
2.In Casti Connubii on Christian Marriage, Pope Pius XI lists two things men must do
to obtain the fruits of the sacrament of matrimony. The first is to be enlightened and
fully understand Christ s true doctrine regarding matrimony itself. The second is to
still remain pure in their thoughts and actions in order to obtain true peace and
happiness for themselves and for their families .
3.a. The Pope sees a need to speak about the sanctity of marriage at this time
because he saw that the people of his day were beginning to forget the importance
of a holy marriage. It especially applies today with the leniency of how human
intimacy is treated. Knowing this, the Pope spoke of it to remind people the
importance of a Holy Christian marriage. b. We know the Pope is teaching infallibly
here because he is re explaining a teaching already in practice. He doesn t add
anything to the core of the teaching, which is to avoid temptation in the context of
human intimacy, by shows specifically the temptations presented at that time in
which the faithful should avoid. We can further confirm that the Pope speaks
infallibly because all teachings of the Pope come from God, and there cannot be a
fallible teaching from God Himself.
5. a. The point of Arcanum Divinae , as explained by Pope Pius XI, was to
concentrate of matrimony as a divine institution and it s sacramental and perpetual
stability. He used this Encyclical specifically as a reference and foundation for his
own Encyclical. The only difference being that Arcanum Divinae speaks of the
spiritual aspects of the sacrament while the Casti Connubii speaks of both the
sacramental and the earthly systems and their effect on the lives of men. b. Man
cannot change the laws that strengthen marriage because such laws were not created
by man. It is a fundamental doctrine that the institution of matrimony and its laws
were written by God. Since God is infallible, and
Benefits Of Physical Activities For Children
Benefits of Physical Activities for Children
Do you have a child or siblings? What if at age 10 they went for a regular doctor
check up and got diagnosed with diabetes. But then ontop of that information, you
were told that it could have been prevented with just a little exercise. Diabetes
prevention is one of many ways that physical activities benefit children. My name is
Kayla Langley and I would like to inform you of the numerous benefits of exercise
for children, those with and without disorders. Childhood obesity has more than
doubled in children and quadrupled in adolescents in the past 30 years( Childhood
Obesity Facts ). This is not a trend that we want to see rise any further. Physical
activities are proven to monitor weight, build strong bones, and maintain healthy
muscles. These components help the individual work towards improving
endurance, strength, and flexibility(Physical Activity Facts). Healthy bones and
muscles are crucial for a healthy life, exercise allows muscles and joints to bend
and move to get a full range of motion( The Many Benefits of Exercise ). However,
overweight children do not get to enjoy the luxury of being able to move around the
way they desire( Childhood Obesity Facts ). It limits them from the world and all that
it offers, this is why physical activities are extremely crucial for every child.
Especially, those showing signs of obesity. Children with ADHD, Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder, have been the light to numerous

The Character Of Don Giovanni
Don Giovanni is the protagonist of one of the most famous Mozart s operas.
Mozart s protagonist is based of the Spanish tale s character named Don Juan, a
famous womanizer. According to Cambridge Dictionary, a hero is defined as a
person admire for bravery, great achievements, or good qualities, [1] it can be said
that Don Giovanniis brave, at his standards has some great achievements, and has
some good qualities such as fearlessness, courage, and firm to his beliefs. One of
the main reasons why some people label Don Giovanni as a villain is because at the
beginning of the operaDonna Anna claims that Giovanni has raped her and then
calls him a murder when he kills her father. When taken a closer look at those
specific scenes, such claims are less credible. Instead of being afraid like a usual
rape victim, she seems furious. The claim of rape gets even more questionable
when Donna Anna s first recrimination is betrayer, instead of rapist. It gives the
impression that she appears to be angry at the fact that he is leaving her.
Describing Don Giovanni as a murder also seems to be inaccurate. It has to be
clarified that killing someone in a duel is not a murder. Donna s father was the
one who challenged Don Giovanni. He clearly knew that the only outcome was
for one of them to die, and that there was a chance that it could be him. It is also
important to take into account that Giovanni repeatedly refused to fight. Music
helps to describe the characters, Every character stands out in the musical picture.
[3] It can be an indication of how he is portrayed as a hero. Mozart shows Don
Giovanni as courageous, strong and confident. When analyzing music, it can
notice that Giovanni gets great music. Mozart provides Don Giovanni with an aria
that explicitly embraces his philosophy of enjoying life: the famous champagne
aria, Finch han dal vino. [2] This music is presented as full of life and celebration
which means that Don is shown as the force of life. It can be also be deduced who
Don is by contrasting his character with other s. Mozart also tells us who Don
Giovanni is by telling us who he is not. [3] Leporello is depicted as a character who
is a whiner, coward, and a follower. In one of the final

History of Shaw festival and Doherty and Rand
Shaw s works were only sporadically performed before 1962. This changed when
lawyer Brian Doherty offered up the idea of having a theatre company attributed to
Shaw the way Stratford was to Shakespeare. The company was created as A salute
to shaw to help give the town a financial boost. In the year of 1962 Doherty was
named both artistic director and producer bring the shows Don Juan in Hell and
Candida to the stage. Throughout all of the changes in titles Doherty worked on A

being the opening of the new Shaw Festival theatre by Queen Elizabeth herself.
During this time Calvin Rand arts Professor from the University of Buffalo became
president of the company and help move the company forward.

Compare And Contrast The Russian Revolution And
Chinese...
Throughout history, many countries have called for revolutions whose goals and
outcomes affected the government during its time, in order to enforce a change in the
current form of government. In 1911, a revolution was led by Sun Yat Sen in China
between the imperial government or the Qing and the nationalists. China s revolutions
eventual outcome led to a conflict between the communists and the nationalists in
China whose goals contrasted each other significantly. During World War I, a
revolution in Russia occurred, led by Vladimir Lenin in 1917. The revolution in
Russia affected the proletariat, the Bourgeoisie, and the corrupted leadership of the
Tsarist government as a whole. Although these distinct revolutions occurred in two
different countries, their outcomes are similar as they both show how communismand
the inequality of the workers and classes impacted the countries both economically
and politically.

China was not affected by the ideas of Karl Marx, therefore the revolution in China
lasted much longer. The Chinese nationalists main support came from the cities
and China was an agrarian society at the time. The social classes in China was a
major issue during the revolution and people often rioted. The White Wolf
Movement showed how people were against the idea of a republic. Bands of troops
had to steal from the rich and give to the poor in order to keep the higher class from
overruling and starving the peasants completely. While Russia was able to please the
proletariat, the Chinese was not supported by the peasants living in urban areas and
the demands of the agrarian population were not satisfied. Lenin was able to better
meet the goals of every interest group while promoting Marx in the revolution of the

opportunities, it is something that takes the mind off of all of life s troubling times,
and puts one man against another to get their hand raised. Competition makes
everything evolve, and there is no other sport that epitomizes what competition truly

during the nineteenth century. The goal of this sport is to bring the opponents
shoulders to the ground and almost all holds are allowed. Over half a dozen United
States Presidents practiced it, including: George Washington, Zachary Taylor, Ulysses
Grant, Andrew Johnson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. It has been in
every Olympics since 1904, except for 1908. For national and international events,
singlets must be blue or red (Fila Official ). Singlets must have your country s emblem

A Rhetorical Analysis Of Obama s First Lady Michelle
Obama
First Lady Michelle Obama has always been one known for her inspiring speeches
and her commitment to women s rights. In Manchester, New Hampshire, she is
seen once again standing up for women and for this country by opening the public s
eyes to disrespect Donald Trump has shown for us. Throughout the entire speech the
three rhetorical appeals of pathos, ethos, and logos, are all used effectively and
powerfully to get her message across. She mainly targets the audience of empowered
women but she also addresses the effect that voting for Donald Trump will have for
men and women. Through the rhetorical appeals and the tone, she sets for her
audience, Michelle Obamacampaigns for the presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

And in this election, if we turn away from her, if we just stand by and allow her

they should hold; about the kind of life they should lead? What are we saying?
(Obama) Through this quote, Michelle Obama has reinstated the ideas and belief
that we need our nation to uphold, and by electing Donald Trump those beliefs
will not be held. Ethos is strongly seen throughout her entire speech along with the
other two rhetorical appeals. The last rhetorical appeal to look at in Michelle
Obama s speech is the appeal of logos. When looking at logos the audience sees the
logical side of the argument. Logos is one of the strongest appeals used in this
presidential campaign speech. The best way to make a campaign speech is to use
the logical example the audience can relate to and Michelle Obama perfectly
represents that. She reminds the audience of what their country needs to be and how
it needs to be run. In her speech she
Fellowship Of The Ring Book Analysis
J.R. R. Tolkien s classic novel The Fellowship of the Ring was made into a film in
2001 and directed by Peter Jackson. This essay will be examining this specific film
through a worldview perspective. For the purposes of this essay, worldview will be
defined as a perceptual framework . (The Transforming Vision, pg. 17) Worldviews
can be specific to a single person, or generalized to a group of people. The worldview
expressed in this essay through examples from The Fellowship of the Ringwill come
from the theme of Creation.
This theme of Creation is correlated with the creation of the universe by God, as
written in the book of Genesis. God created the heavens and the earth before Jesus
was born; before salvation ever occurred. Similarly, The Fellowship of the Ring
opens with a narrative explaining what the One Ring was and its importance to the
rest of the story. The film does not begin with Frodo saving the day, but rather the
history that laid the foundation for his journey to happen. The ring was forged in the
fires of Orodruin by the Dark Lord Sauron after he convinced the elven smiths of
Eregoin to forge the Rings of Power. Although God is nowhere near the same as
Sauron, both created something specific to bring glory to themselves: God made
the world, Sauron made a ring. The difference is that God had a holy and righteous
reason for creating, while Sauron did it for evil and selfish purposes. God was able
to speak the earth into existence (Genesis 1:3), but Sauron had
Reflection Of Group Development
To begin, the very first part of group development but also the class, was to form a
group that you would work with throughout the whole semester. The class discussed
ways to assign group members, but ultimately, the decision was to let students pick
their groups. In all honesty, I was not fond of this idea, but I selected my group. I
began by wanting one of the two boys in my group, because I wanted a male s
perspective throughout the project. I decidedI wanted to work with Adam because I
had witnessed him ask challenging questions and succeed in debates with
previous professors, all characteristics I thought could be beneficial at the time.
With choosing Adam came Matt, because since they were the only two males in a
lecture dominated by females. Lastly, Alex decided she wanted to work with me
because we had a previous class together and she stated she liked the way I handled
myself within that lecture. Once the group was all in agreeance to work together,
we began to take part in small talk, such as, how old we were, what we were
studying, but mainly that we were all determined to get a high grade in this class, a
comment I had taken seriously at the time and thought was true of all members.
When the class was eventually instructed to discuss topics that were of importance to
us, there was no doubt that focusing on nontraditional students and their connection
to campus life was going to be the topic we focused on because it was of such
importance to Вѕ of our group.

Symbolism In Ethan Frome By Edith Wharton
In the novel Ethan Frome, written by Edith Wharton, there is a large amount of
symbolism. The symbolism allows the characters to express themselves clearly
and help the reader understand who they are and how they feel. The red pickle
dish, silence, and the color red are all symbols that do not have literal meaning, but
represent other important themes or ideas in the novel. The red pickle dish is an
important symbol in this novel. The red pickle dish is important because it
represents the Zeena and Ethan s marriage and how Mattie got between them.
Zeena had received a red pickle dish on the day that she and Ethan were married.
One day, Mattie took the pickle dish down from its usual spot and during dinner the
cat backed into it and the dish shattered on the floor. The pickle dish could not be
fixed, which symbolizes that Mattie has destroyed Ethan s and Zeena s marriage,
and that it can never be put back together again, like the pickle dish. While Zeena was

Ethan s silence is a main symbol in Ethan s life. Silence is a symbol for Ethan s
cowardly actions. All he wants is laughter and loudness, but he is unable to make
that happen. When ever Ethan tries to express his love for Mattie, he falls short.
Ethan is very much in love with Mattie, but fails to show it. Ethan is a coward
when it comes to making moves with Mattie. When they were alone together, they
did not do anything, or advance their relationship in any way. When Ethan talks to

Techniques Of Ebenezer Scrooge In The Novel A
Christmas...
In the famous novel, A. Christmas Carol, the main character, Ebenezer Scrooge
says a quote when he sees his own gravestone by the ghost of Christmas yet to
come. I can explain what he meant when he said this. Also if Ebenezer followed his
own conclusion, and how he lived up to it. I can also give meaningful examples and
references to the text. Ebenezer Scroogewas a mean person who in the end learned
from his mistakes by this famous quote.
I know what he meant when he said this. Ebenezer Scrooge meant that if you keep
doing bad things than bad things will happen but if you stop doing those things you
can have a better ending. Ebenezer meant this because he follows his conclusion. One
way he changed his actions was by giving to the

Community Health Advocacy Project Overview
Each week you will use the Weekly Guide to guide you through the process of
creating a hypothetical, community health advocacy project due in Week Six. The
following breakdown represents each week s part:
In Week One, you select an aggregate and write questions to help you identify areas
of strength and of need.
In Week Two, you focus on describing the characteristics of your aggregate and
writing an action plan on how you would apply each of Christoffel s three stages as
an advocate for the aggregate.

Stage Three: Action
Activities may include raising funds, join the local or state government to encourage
education in school, and join organizations who are already addressing the issue of
teen pregnancy. Such organizations are the Center for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) and community based programs. CDC is expanding prevention resources
through the president s teen pregnancy initiative, which involves the office of
adolescent health, administration for children and families, and office of population
affairs. CDC is also working to reach the Healthy People 2020 national objectives to
reduce unintended teen pregnancy and improve adolescent health as well as
recommending programs that reach teens that have been demonstrated to work, help
parents communicate with their teens, and improve sexual and reproductive health
service (CDC, 2012).

Walter White Analysis
The most interesting thing I did this summer was watch Breaking Bad . The show
is about a man. This man s name is Walter White. He is is married and has one son.
Life was good for him. It was simple easy. Walter was an ordinary man. He took no
risks, he played life safe. He was a very smart scientist. But now is a science
teacher. It was a good job for him. One day he got cancer. He was told he did not
have long to live. He thought this is it my life wasted. Playing it safe was not worth
it. Most importantly he thought about his family he wanted to provide for them. He
wanted to leave them something to remember him by. A week later was his
birthday. He was turning 50 years old. His wife through him a party. Family and
friends were over. He... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He offered Walter to come on a ride along to see a drug bust. To get a little more
excitement in his life. Walter said yes. On this ride along Walter experienced a
drug bust in real life. But was told to stay in the car. While all the agents were
breaking into the hose he saw a man run into a car and skirt away. He was the only
one who noticed it. I recognized that ma. The man s name was Jesse Pinkman. He
was an old student of Walter s. Later on he met up with Jessie and ask about the
business of making meth. Walter wanted to join in on the business and he asked
Jesse if he wanted the be 50/50 partners. Jessie was very hesitant but he eventually
said yes. When they cooked meth they made the purest form of meth the D.E.A has
ever seen. Throughout the show Walter s brother in law Hank tracks a man named
Hizenburg. Hizenburg is Walters alter ego. In this show they call meth makers cooks.
Walters formula worked. Everyone wanted the meth they made. In the formula they
use a certain chemical that makes it blue. That s how they get so famous the blue
meth. Plus throughout the show Walter makes some questionable decisions. This is
the most interesting thing I did all summer. This is now my favorite
The Hawaiian Duck is an Endangered Species
The Hawaiian Duck Earth is a very interesting planet. It seems to be filled with
never ending discoveries and beautiful settings. With these settings also come with
other worldly animals. One of these said animals is the anas wyvillina Hawaiian
Duck. This bird resides on the beautiful island of Hawaii. This species seems to
have it good, but that statement could not be farther from the truth. As of 2012,
the Hawaiian Duck has been considered an endangered species. This species is a
dogfight to prevail and live on as a species, but are terribly losing. This bird is
interesting because of the habitat and niche it possesses, why it has become
endangered, and the conservation efforts. The Hawaiian Duck is blessed with one of
the best habitats in the world. It resides in the beautiful islands and the epitome of all
beautiful islands known as Hawaii. They are mostly found in lowland wetlands, river
valleys, and mountain streams. This works to this bird s advantages. They mostly try
to stay away from the more urban parts of Hawaiiand stick to their usual wetland
setting. However, there not much of these habitats around on the virtually miniature
islandof Hawaii, which makes this bird s effort of trying to stick around, just that
much harder. Its endangerment has a large part to do with the fact that you cannot
find all of these elements in many places on the island of Hawaii. The Hawaiian
duck s habitat is a huge part of what this bird is and how it functions through its
Essay On Death Of Iran
The first 24 hours in Iran are crucial when a person dies In Iran. It is believed that a
person should be buried within the first 24 hours if the family does not want to be
cursed. If the person dies during the days they are taken to special places where the
body is washed and wrapped in white cloth. The white cloth should be of kafan,
which is a special cloth but due to its high price, now its only white cloth. Before
they are warped with the kafan they warp the legs from belly button down, cover
the eyes, and breasts if female. After the body is wrapped they should tie each end
with ropes and never the ends should never be sewn. Before they are wrapped the

In ancient times there was segregation in funerals where females could not attend the
funerals of their male relatives, but modern Iranians don t do this unless extremely
traditional. Dressing in black for the funeral is important for close relatives, and
they should wear black for at least 40 days some last even a year. To stop wearing
black an elderly in the family must change colors signaling the end of the mourn.
The time of day is important for someone who died if the person dies during the day
they are taken to the local mosque to be cleaned and prepared for burial but if the
person dies during the night lights and candles are placed around the deceased
because they believe that the body should not be left in darkness for evil spirits to
attack it. Burial sites cannot be shared with non Muslim cemeteries. The excessive
cost of grave sites has forced family members to be buried on top of each other.
Before pacing the body into the grave, the coffin is placed on the ground three
times and lifted their times and on the fourth attempt is finally placed on the grave.
A gravedigger or a member of the family is on the pit positioned to place the body
according to religious prescriptions, the deceased is placed on the right side facing

there is no gravestone, the grave top should be higher than the
Octopi Research Paper
Octopi The Anti Pac Man
The title of this project is Octopi, and is based on the original Pac Man where the
player controls the titular character through a maze while eating dots. When all dots
are eaten, you progress to the next stage. Four enemies roam the maze trying to catch
Pac Man. If an enemy touches Pac Man, a life is lost, and when all lives have been
lost, the game ends. Near the corners of the maze are four larger dots that provide
Pac Man with the temporary ability to eat the enemies. The enemies turn deep blue,
reverse direction and usually move more slowly. When an enemy is eaten, its eyes
remain and return to the center box where it is regenerated to its normal color. A
bonus life is also awarded each time the score accumulates 10k points.
However the catch with Octopi is that the role of the player is reversed, in that you
actually play as the ghost or octopoda like creatures featured in the original game,
and it is your objective to put an end to the notorious Pac Man who has invaded your
habitat and is going around consuming all the whelks ... Show more content on

Navigating two creatures at once with both hands and having them work together
to corner Pac Man increases the complexity of the game, so it may take some
practise for the player to get good at controlling two objects simultaneously, but
that s all part of the challenge. The stage is unchanged from the original Pac Man,
so it still includes the wrap around effect that happens when you horizontally move
outside the boundary. Utilising this effect adds another element to the strategy,
but Pac Man will be able to use it to his advantage also. Successfully catching Pac
Man will cause the gaame to progress to the next stage where Pac Man s speed is
slightly increased, and so it s the player s goal to beat as many stages as possible
before the inevitable game over scenario where Pac Man is too fast to catch and he
eats all the

America s Trade Area Of The Americas
History
Latin America is composed of seventeen countries which was colonized by Spain s
and Portugal. They are large in diverse population with four hundred and ninety
million people in total. The percentage of the Indian and African that lives in Latin
America is basically seventy five percent just in the cities. The industrial and
development grew since the 1960 s; also the free Trade Area of the Americas(FTAA)
proposes to integrate economies of Latin America, North America and the Caribbean
(except Cuba). Prisons for quite a long time have been a gateway to try to save
society. However, the only thing that it s doing is hurting the social order. This
happens because it creates more problems that are not being treated from the
beginning. Crime has become a big problem during these hard times with the poor
economy, but it has especially affected Latin America very deeply because of all the
problems that overcrowded prisons have brought forward. In Latin America Brazil
and Mexico are the two largest and strongest countries that have been affected with
having the highest percentage of crimes, inmates in prisons, and concerns with
overcrowded prisons. And these increase with the high crime rates in Latin America
that are rising due to drug trafficking wars in Brazil and Mexico. Brazil and
Argentina are again the two of Latin America s strongest and largest countries
because they make up most of the common market where other nations come to trade,
buy goods and buy cash
Effa Manley Biography
A strong, confident, persistent individual is the only type of person who should
take on big responsibilities and roles in anything. Our world is filled with leaders
and role models. One person in particular is looked at in this biography who helps
prove that Effa Manley was this mentor type individual. In addition to serving as
owner of the Eagles, Manley also served the League as the unofficial secretary. She
was known for her marketing skills and her efforts to help her players to the best
of her ability. Effa made sure that each player had new uniforms so that The Eagles
could be best represented whether they were at home or on the road. Effa Manley
was not only a baseball team owner, but she was a spokesperson indirectly for her
team s fans. She was unafraid to speak up for things that she believed in, important
regardless of whether they were popular or sometimes unpopular. She challenged
her co workers in and outside the office. She questioned how plans were to be acted

Morocca Personal Statement
As I walk around my neighborhood, I hear the chatter of the nearby people, but
something is different. I can t understand a single word they re saying! This is my
daily life.
Born in New York City with a family that emigrated from Morocco, I grew up (and
currently live in) a predominantly Hispanic and African American neighborhood.
Inevitably, I frequently felt that I wasn t quite connected with either my own culture
or the cultures of my school peers, teachers, and community.
I have always felt this detachment due to all of my friends being from backgrounds
that do not match mine. While I was able to appreciate New York City s diverse
communities in an intellectual way, I struggled with having no shared cultural bonds.

They both had grown up in Morocco! What did they know about my problem? But
soon enough they realized that I needed to experience my culture firsthand in order to
develop my own Moroccan identity.
Thus began my frequent journeys during summer breaks to gain a deeper insight
into my Moroccan roots. I travelled to a myriad of Moroccan cities, including
Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, and Tangiers. Aside from the cities, I also visited
small towns. My hope was that I would discover something that had tied all of these
places together something truly Moroccan. Cuisine turned out to be one of those
discoveries. At home, Moroccan food had been just food. But here, I was
experiencing Moroccan food as if for the first time.
I never expected Moroccan cuisine to be the item that connected me strongly to my

English department is there use to be a Mechanics shop but now there was a

by it also. One day he went there across the street to look in the window of the

of that changed once he began to be a fighter. He trained for thirteen months then he

Equity Ownership Of A Company
In order to finance ongoing expenses and activities, a company can approach a
bank and take a loan to pay for these things. Instead of going to a bank, a company
often offers investors either debt or equity in their company. After exploring debt
ownership last week, this week we are going to explore equity ownership. One of the
major concerns of owning equity in a company is the ability of that company to
perform, which is the only one of the only ways an investor can receive a return on an
equity instrument.
The most common form of equity ownership in a company is common stock and by
owning shares, you are a part owner of the company. Along with ownership comes
the right to vote on certain company issues such as voting for the board of directors,
stock splits, and other company objectives (Harrison, Horngren, Thomas, 2015).
Common stockholders often have preemptive rights that allow shareholders to
maintain their portion of ownership in a company should the company choose to sell
additional shares. Along with the benefits there is a drawback, in the event a
company declares bankruptcy, common stock shareholders are the last individuals to
receive company assets behind creditors, bondholders, and preferred stock
shareholders.
There are two classes of common stock shares Class A and Class B. The biggest
different between the two are the number of votes attached to the class or whether
one class even has any voting rights. A company may want the equity injection
Holden The Masquerade
Cessation of the Masquerade Some people guide their thoughts and actions under
the lense of a masquerade ball. They lie and deceit others as a part of their multiple
identities. Holden Caulfield, the protagonist in the novel Catcher in the Rye by J.D.
Salinger, narrates his life from his lenses as he immerses the readers into his life
whilst discovering his place in a cruel world embedded with phonies. Holden s
unreliable narrations depicting his life before his scene at the Mental Institution shed
a light on the path to his psychological unstableness as his intentions of his actions
are clouded from others as well as himself. Holden s suppositions portraying the
world and the people around him are contradictory in comparison to his actions....

Holden chooses not to pursue his urges to alter his own future as well as the
surrounding society. Holden was more than ardent as he recounted his rife

hello to her, at least. Why the hell don tcha, instead of keep saying it? Stradlater

from all the heat in the can. I m not in the mood right now, I said. I wasn t, either.
You have to be in the mood for those things, (33). Holden rationalizes having cold
feet as not being in the mood , attempting to place a front to misguide Stradlater and
the reader. It is intriguing that Holden can never fool Stradlater, however, as he
always seems to sense the reason behind Holden s unfulfilled proposals. While
trying to deceiving others, he is fooling himself also, as he doesn t regard to the
evident reason, which is that he is
Alphabet Murder Case Essay
The lives of three young girls were taken in the city of Rochester, New York, during
the 1970 s. Detectives could not identify this vicious killer, who is known as the
alphabet murder. This vicious murder did not only destroyed the lives of three young
girls, but also the lives of their families too. The alphabet murdercase is an interesting
case for the following reasons, the history of the young girl s lives, the evidence the
detectives have gathered off the young girl s body and the killers reasoning and or
emotions about when he took the young girls.
To begin with, the alphabet murder is interesting because of the history of the
victims. For instance, Carmen Colon was the first victim, Carmen came from a poor
catholic family, she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The authorities never found any evidence at the crime sense of either victims. The
evidence that the detectives do have is that there might be two alphabet murders.
The reason the detectives think this is because of how the young girls were found.
For example, Carmen Colon was the first victim, she went missing on the evening
of November 16th, 1971. When Carmen was supposed to be getting medications in
Bull s head, Rochester, for her grandfather, she would never be seen again. Carmen
found the next day and was not feed, was not clothed, sexually assaulted, had
bruises all over her body and was strangled by the killers hands. Wanda would be
the next victim 17 months later, she was taken on April 2nd, 1973, when she was
supposed to be getting groceries for her mother. Lastly, would be Michelle, who
was taken on November 26th, 1973 on her way home from school. Unlike Carmen,
the other two girls were feed, were clothed, sexually assaulted also, had little to no
bruises, and were strangled with a belt. One important piece of evidence is that the
detective suspected there could be two alphabet killers. One of those they believe
could be Carmen Colon s uncle, Miguel Colon. Detectives think this because he
avoided being questioned about Carmen s death, his alibi was
National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is an independent federal agency
provided with the power to preserve the rights employees have to organize and to
remedy violations if so called for. In addition, the agency was tasked with the
prevention of unfair labor practices committed by private sector employers and
unions. The National Industrial Recovery Act initiated the NLRB, which protected
joint bargaining rights for unions. President Franklin D. Roosevelt later established
the National Labor Board that initiated 20 regional boards that handled the massive
caseload, that later proved ineffective. Congress, soon after, stepped in and passed a
public resolution that empowered the president to choose a labor board that had the

The board consists of five members, who act as a quasi judicial body that make
decisions based upon cases of unfair labor. The board is compromised of more than
thirty regional offices that conduct elections, investigate charges, and establish
whether to dismiss, settle, or issue complaints. The jurisdiction of the counsel s
power is responsible for investigating and prosecuting claims that suggest practices
of unfair labor. The Counsel is also found to be independent of the Board but once
the Board has made a decision it becomes the General Counsel s duty to sustain the
decisions of the Board, even if the Counsel advocated towards the opposite position.
The National Labor Relations Board focuses on employees of the private sector and
the postal service. Other than these two jurisdictions the board has no authority over
airline, agricultural, governmental, or railroad employees. To be able to process
charges, parties must first file against the employer or the union with a regional office
who will then examine the complaint. If the complaint proves valid it is then taken
before an Administrative Law Judge who will carry out a hearing. Both parties must
prepare their arguments and present their
Racism And Personal Identity By Anna Deavere Smith
There has been always a belief that human races have distinctive characteristics that
determine their respective cultures. In most cases, the idea that one s race is
superior and is assumed to provide the right to rule or dominate others. There is also
the distinct personality in which people are concerned with the persisting entity to
particular individuals. The theme of racism and personal identity are evidenced in
the plays; Fires in the Mirror and Twilight: Los Angeles in various instances. In the
two plays, offensive and aggressive behaviors are demonstrated to members of
another racestemming from racism and the inferior belief of skin color. The issues of
racial discrimination happen in the two plays, and some people are treated less fairly
than others similar situation just because of their race, color, and ethnic origin.
Anna Deavere Smith uses the play Fires in the Mirror to show the audiences
different points of view, as well as, the opinions on the issue of the riot bases on two
sides. Each section of the play is centered on a different theme, but all mergers to one
theme of racism.
Through the words through the different interviews, Anna explores how and why
individuals signal their identities. She also explores how people perceive and also
respond to other people different from themselves. According to Smith, Anna (page 3,
1993) and the introduction of the play, it is voiced that My sense is that American
character lives not in one place or the other.
Monsanto Chapter 1
I read chapter 8, Media and Technology , out of the sociology textbook. Section 1
talks about the tech we use in society. Technology has been which in our society
since the stone age. The knowledge gap, which is a gap between those who have and
don t have technology, is predominant within our society. Some people don t have the
access to new tech, due to financial troubles, race, gender, etc.
This in turn has created a digital divide , an uneven access to technological wonders.
Some of the digital divide can be explained by either demographic and community
level characteristics, or how technology has become more mobile. Net neutrality is
debated among people, some say that data should be private, or analyzed.
Section 2 deals with technology ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Technological development allows areas in advancement to be replicated, that s why
three types of patents exist to protect inventions and discoveries to be replicated or
stolen.
The first type is Utility Patents. This patent pertains to new processes, products or
machines. The second patent is a Design Patent. This protects original logos and
designs from being used by someone else. The third and last patent type is a Plant
Patent. This patent recognizes plants either by genetically modifications, discovering
exotic plants, and new hybrids of plants. Monsanto, a food company, created a new
type of corn with natural pesticides, which was patent in 2011.
There are a lot of different media and technologies. The first is print, which means
books, magazines, newspapers, and even e books. The second type is TV and
radio. Anything that is broadcasted by TV, or a radio show is classified under this
type. Back in the 1970s, ABC, NBC and CBS dominated television. Public TV
offers a non profit alternative to what we watch. PBS and BBC have a reputation
of having a more global perspective. Film is another type of media. The industry
took off in the 30s with the advent of sound and color. People would gather and
crowd theatres to watch the new releases. These movies illustrate society s fears,
dreams and experiences. The last type of media is New Media, which includes
social networks, blogs, podcasts, and virtual worlds. The list grows daily, and the info
Where Wizards Stay Up Late
Where Wizards Stay up Late
Where Wizards Stay up Late, the Origins of the Internet. Katie Hafner and Matthew
Lyon walk us through the beginnings of the Internet. The authors will talk about how
a computer engineering firm produced the first prototypes of the Arpanet, and how a
group of men made the Internet as we know it today. It tells the intriguing story of
how the technology for the Internet was devised. In many respects, it is very much a
behind the scenes kind of documentary.
When thinking about the Internet, one always appears to assume that the
development of computer technology has been driven by a few giants of the industry.
Indeed, we always assume that it is the big people that made it. And yet, the truth is
very different. The authors show us how many of the developments surrounding the
Internet were brought about with the support and often the leadership of the
government. Indeed, it was the government funding that made a lot of these realities
possible. Thus, this is basically a case study of what the development of networking
achieved.
In the book, we encounter the process of packet switching, which is a technique in
which a digital message is broken up into smaller packets that can be routed
separately through a network to their destination. This is how the Internet was
discovered.
The two authors follow the story from the conception of the idea of packet switching
in the early 1960s to the creation and development of the Internet. We see how one
Adolescents First Sexual Behavior
The gender differences between the timing of an adolescent s first sexual behavior
J Anna Jones
Spalding University Louisville, KY 40203
In the field of Psychology there are many different topics that come about when
learning about the essentials of life span development. Life span development
consists of numerous things that people encounter from birth, childhood,
adolescents, and adulthood. Today let s analyze the gender differences between the
timing of an adolescent s first sexual behavior. The reason for these differences
between the gender can be made up of multiple things. Some researchers may say
that sexual orientation, race, culture or other demographic characteristics play a
role. When looking at this particular topic, for boys participating in sexual behaviors
is consider normally. Where as for a girl it is looked downed on because of the risk
of pregnancy at a young age. The timing for boys and girls first sexual behavior
mainly depends on the maturity and physical level of the adolescents. Most can
confirm that it is likely for girls to mature faster than boys because of the physical
changes and thought process that happens so fast within the female adolescent s body.

These differences consists of race, sexual orientation, culture or other demographic
characteristics. The timing can be caused by the adolescent wanting to experiment
and the change of going into adulthood. In addition to the adolescents body change
and natural desires of sexual behavior. Although this timing is something that
naturally happens, adolescents can face consequences for their sexual behavior.
Adolescents can come into contact with sexually transmitted diseases, HPV or HIV.
The cause of this is not using protection when having intercourse. Also adolescent
pregnancy is another consequence when not being careful during sexual

are many types of anxiety ranging from social to phobic anxiety. Anxietyaffects many
people in today s society. To understand and treat it, one must look at its causes, the
effect on the victims, and how it is currently treated.
Throughout the years, the amount of people diagnosed with anxiety has increased.
Because of this, many are trying to figure out its causes. Many people do not fully
understand anxiety as a whole, thinking that it is a sporadic or one time occurrence.
Anxiety is a disorder where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the past years medical research has advanced concerning mental
illnesses. Treatments for anxiety has been created based on research found on how to
tackle anxiety. A common treatment is medication. Two common medications for
anxiety is serotonin reuptake inhibitor, and serotonin norepinephrine reuptake
inhibitor. Although other drugs are used, these are the most common ( Treatment ).
This suggests that since medications are the most common, more severe symptoms
may need extra treatment. Anxiety has multiple treatments including psychotherapy.
Psychotherapy has multiple branches, one being cognitive behavioral therapy, which
focuses on management of symptoms and skills to help relaxation. Another would be
cognitive restructuring, which enforces positive thinking, along with coping plans
for certain situations (Landro 2). This passage suggests that psychotherapy takes a
personalized approach for treating anxiety. Although the treatments main focus is to
better the patient, it leaves a lot for the victim s family and future. Treatments make
take a while to help, which leaves victims feeling worse ( Depression 2). This can
lead one to conclude that because episodes are likely to occur, families must be extra
careful to watch and support the victim in the future. Anxiety treatments range from
medication to therapy. Victims may experience relapses in the future and it s

Vertebrate Paleontology s Extinction
ESSAY QUESTION #3
Tell us about a community or cultural experience or any group gathering you have
participated in recently that meant a lot to you.
In October of 2016 I participated in a community function that changed my life, my
future goals, and made me a more knowledgeable and confident person. As a Teen
Science Scholar in the earth sciences department, last summer, I was given life
changing opportunity to go to the Society of Vertebrate Paleontologys annual
international conference, to interact with the best paleontologists of the day and to
present my own findings. After working for months with DMNS scientists to move
and organize collections, micropick and sort fossils, study osteology, dig for mammal
fossils from the Miocene in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The subject of our poster was a brief, site description of the Dry Union in the
mountains of Colorado. In this poster, Dr. Sertich, Ms. Mackenzie, Kathleen, and
myself described the geological composition of the formation, the interesting
combination of Fauna found at the site, and the work we had done in the formation
over the summer. While so many incredible people contributed to this project, in
particular Ms. Mackenzie, who is one of the most amazing paleontologist I have ever
met, it was up to me and Kathleen to present this poster to professional
paleontologists on our own. This opportunity to contribute to the knowledge of the
paleontological community has been one of the biggest honors and most thrilling
experience of my life thus far and I am eager to return to SVP again in the
The United States Center For Disease Control
The United States Center for Disease Control recommends deferrals for several
group of people based on various criteria. One of the group subjected to a deferral
are men who have sex with men, referred to hereafter as MSM, and women who
have sex with MSM. In November of 2014, a twelve month deferral period replaced
a lifetime ban on MSM donating blood. The basis for these deferral policies is
preventing the spread of infectious diseases, particularly Human Immunodeficiency
Virus (HIV), through blood transfusions. While the goal of the policy is well
intentioned, it possesses serious flaws and shortcomings. There are many ways in
which the current blood donation policy is inadequate. From a medical perspective,
there are better indicators... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, the use of illegal injection drugs is by far the biggest indicator of HIV
risk. The deferral policy does consider injection drug use. ( Advisory Committee )
Conversely, many risk factors are not considered in the policy. The majority of
HIV infections are the result of unprotected sex, which is not included in the
policy. ( HIV Among Gay ) Another unconsidered factor is testing positive for
other STIs. Having an STI can put someone at a higher risk for getting another STI
because the immune system can be compromised and open sores outbreaks can
ask as pathways for infection disease. ( HIV Among Gay ) Likewise, a record of
frequent STIs can indicate that a person is more susceptible to sexually
transmission of infections due to their reproductive anatomy. ( Love ) Just as there
are risk factors, there are many ways to decrease that risk. Proper condom use
decreases the risk of HIV infection by 98 99% and using a medication called pre
exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, before sexual contact can reduce the risk by 92
99%. ( Love ) Knowing the HIV status of an individual s partner or partners can
also greatly reduce the change of HIV transmission. After all, the only way to
become infected with HIV is to come into contact with a person who is HIV
positive. The CDC justifies the deferral policy with the higher rates of HIV among
gay and bisexual men. ( Revised Recommendations ) This is not to be disregarded. In
2014, the
Cheetah Research Paper
The spectacle of a cheetah running at full speed is art; the anatomy and physique
facilitating its speed and agility is genetic engineering at its best. The cheetah can
accelerate from 0 60 mph in 3 seconds, making it the fastest land animal on the planet.
Yes, even faster than Usain Bolt. Like Bolt, the cheetahis a sprinter not a long distance
runner and can only attain high speeds in short bursts due to the tremendous drain
on its energy resources. It could take up to 30 minutes for a cheetah to recover from
a chase. So just how can this big cataccelerate faster than a Ferrari? On the exterior,
the cheetah is the most slender of the big cats; its lightweight body (weighing about
80 140 lbs.), small head and long legs are designed for aerodynamics. Structurally, the
cheetah has a unique, flexible spine, which allows for extreme flexion and extension
while running at top speeds.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To reach extension, the spine recoils like a spring propelling the cheetah s legs out;
it is this portion of the gait where the cheetah is able to reach strides up to 25 feet .
Lastly, the cheetah is equipped with blunt, semi retractable claws, which function
similarly to soccer cleats. Since its claws never fully retract, like other big cats,
they are always at the ready to provide powerful traction to the ground.Observing
the cheetah s gait in slow motion makes the dynamics of the flexible spine easily
detectable. You ll notice that only one foot at time makes contact with the ground all
the while, the cheetah s gaze is unfaltering it is locked and loaded on its prey. See
the claws? Unlike other big cats, they only partially retract.
Anterior Cruciate Ligaments Of Knee
The knee is a synovial, hinge joint that is critical to every day body functions. Its
complicated yet simple structure gives it all it needs in order to flex and extend the
legs.
The knee is made up of four bones: patella, femur, tibia, and fibula. The femur is the
largest bone in the body and is supported by the weight bearing knee joint. The bones
are connected and supported by tendons and ligaments. The four ligaments each have
a job to keep the structure of the knee and move it. First off, the anterior cruciate
ligament(ACL) prevents the knee from hyperextending in a forward motion. Along
with the ACL, the posterior cruciate ligament(PCL) prevents the joint from displacing
and sliding off. In the same sense, the medial collateral ligament
Descriptive Essay On The Arc
Generally, at The Arc, we like to think that we re ahead of the curve, but it seems like
our summer 2017 vacation destination was right on trend, Portugal. The Algarve,
Lisbon, and Porto were on everyone s list, Instagram feed, and mind. The country has
been a long time favorite vacation destination of Europeans, with the Algarvebeing
the ultimate stop. For those unfamiliar, it runs the southern coast of the country and
is home to many of its most picturesque beaches. Think sweeping cliffs, pristine blue
water and this compounded with over 300 days of sun annually, how did it take
North Americans so long to discover?
Landing in Faro with stops in Olhao and Lagos, we were looking forward to
experiencing a little more than the beach. We re ... Show more content on

After a survey of its offerings, we picked up sardines, clams, special Portuguese
greens (that had a mild resemblance to kale) and an array of fresh produce.
Cooking in a rental or Airbnb kitchen can certainly pose some challenges, dull
knives, flimsy plastic cutting boards and certainly no mandolin in sight, but it can
push creativity and force one to look for outside inspiration, which in our case was
very literal.
The little house was on a small plot of land where chickens grazed and was home to
a wide variety of plant life. We rolled up our sleeves and did a little backyard
foraging. Our salad dressing included grape juice straight from the vine and local
honey from the owner s apiary that he had left as a gift. The herb sauce that
garnished our vegetables included fresh almonds plucked from the tree.
In the midsummer Algarvian dusk, we feasted on grilled sardines, steamed clams,
grilled Mediterranean vegetables, stewed greens, simple green salad and fresh bread.
A meal and a trip that will be remembered beyond far beyond any of the coast s
Michelin starred restaurants.
If you should be so inspired on your next holiday to do a little cooking here are some
tips and simple

Dialogue Essay.pdf

  • 1. Dialogue Essay Writing an essay on the topic of "Dialogue Essay" can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies in the nuanced nature of dialogue itself. While it may seem straightforward, crafting a compelling dialogue essay requires a delicate balance of creativity, authenticity, and precision. One of the challenges is to ensure that the dialogue feels natural and serves a purpose within the context of the essay. It's not just about transcribing a conversation; it's about using dialogue as a tool to convey meaning, develop characters, and advance the narrative. Striking this balance can be tricky, as excessive dialogue without substance may lead to a lack of depth, while too little dialogue might make the essay feel dry and uninspiring. Moreover, capturing the authenticity of speech while adhering to grammatical and stylistic conventions is another hurdle. Dialogue often involves colloquial language, interruptions, and pauses, and maintaining these elements while still ensuring readability can be a demanding task. Additionally, weaving dialogue seamlessly into the overall structure of the essay requires careful consideration. The essay should have a coherent flow, and each piece of dialogue should contribute meaningfully to the central theme or argument. Stray too far, and the essay may lose focus; stick too closely, and it might feel forced. Despite these challenges, writing a dialogue essay offers a unique opportunity to engage readers and bring ideas to life. When done successfully, it allows for a dynamic and immersive experience, creating a connection between the audience and the characters or ideas presented in the essay. In conclusion, tackling a dialogue essay demands a thoughtful blend of creativity, linguistic skill, and narrative strategy. It's a journey that, while challenging, can lead to a rich and rewarding piece of writing. • 2. Similarities Between The Roman Empire And The Fall Of The... Contributions of both the fall of the Han Dynasty and the Western Roman empire were very common. For example, both the Han Dynasty and the Western Roman empire fell because of economic issues such as corruption. The great empires also fell because of diseases such as small pox and malaria. In fact, when the Han Dynasty and the Western Roman empiretraded goods, they also traded the diseases to one another. Along with economy corruption the Han Dynasty and the Western Roman empirealso fell because of their corrupt leaders. In contrast, the Han Dynasty fell due to weak tax collectors, too many people and too little land, plus many revolts. Western Rome fell because of unemployment, not enough people to do necessary jobs, and the idea that the people could create their own government and take over the existing government. The Han Dynasty and the Western Roman empire both fell due to economic issues. One key contributor was they both underwent economic corruption. In the Han Dynasty, corrupt lords tore down the empire by asking the Emperor for land, which they received. Lords became greedy and wanted more land, so they killed off their neighbors and took their land. The corrupt leaders of Rome spent money on themselves and the military which was not beneficial to the rest of the Empire because they sent their troops into suicidal fights. In contrast the Western Roman empire struggled with unemployment, while the Hans struggled with weak tax collectors. The Western Roman

Leonardo was a high renaissance painter and this picture is a high renaissance piece. The time period of when it was created and the idealized figure, clarity, and bright colors depict the type of renaissance piece. In the portrait a lady with long blonde hair, and blue eyes is holding a greenish colored unicorn in her lap, which gives the portrait its name. It was an oil painting that was applied to a wooden canvas. This piece was actually inspired by Leonardo Da Vincis Mona Lisa(Young women with Unicorn , n.d.). The subject in the portrait has been identified as Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The painting was attributed to Raphaelwhen he restored it. Removal of a heavy repainting revealed the unicorn in this portrait. The unicorn is a representation of purity in the medieval romance in place of Catherine s wheel. In the painting the five elements of renaissance perspective are all portrayed. The Lady with Unicorn shows linear perspective, aerial perspective, diminution of size, and overlap. • 5. Essay Significance of the Number 3 in Fairy Tales Significance of the Number 3 in Fairy Tales Numbers do not exist. They are creations of the mind, existing only in the realm of understanding. No one has ever touched a number, nor would it be possible to do so. You may sketch a symbol on a paper that represents a number, but that symbol is not the number itself. A number is just understood. Nevertheless, numbers hold symbolic meaning. Have you ever asked yourself serious questions about the significance, implications, and roles of numbers? For example, Why does the number ten denote a change to double digits? Is zero a number or a non number? Or, the matter this paper will address: Why does the number three hold an understood and symbolic importance? My interest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, I offer what I call the Utility Based Approach, which attempts to explain the prominence of three by noting its usefulness in telling fairy tales. Indeed, the Utility Based Approach proposes that three, being the smallest possible number that denotes a group, is a useful entity when recalling a tale whose audience is assumed to either (1) desire mental relaxation, or (2) lack advanced/complex mental capabilities. Background/Historical Context Three has a logical reason for its important role throughout history. It is not merely the number that happens to fall between two and four. Three is the union of oneness and duality. It is the first number that is a combination of various previous numbers (assuming, as most societies have done, that zero is not a number). One and two are special as they are representations of oneness and otherness , but three starts the procession of all other numbers to follow (the set of numbers, 3 infinity, that can be the sum of a variety of previous numbers) (Symbolism). Whether this is realized consciously or subconsciously, it is an undeniable truth that seems hard to avoid. Indeed, this idea could be what gave rise to the spiritual significance of three. Three has always played an important part in the Judeo/Christian beliefs, as Ken Bassett outlines in his Pastor Note No. 138. First, and probably most
  • 6. The Role Of Teens, And Teen Stereotypes In The Breakfast Club The Breakfast Club was an extraordinary film that dealt with teenagers in detention. Although it looked like a regular movie, it had deep meanings involved with it. The movie showcases a circle of teens who are completely different from each other. At first they didn t interact with one another, but as the movie goes on they begin to become close friends. The Breakfast Club does a great job at exemplifying the dynamics of a group in society because there are so many associations of people who interact with each other even if the interests are completely different. The characters in the movie move from an out group to an in group because they all felt like outsiders towards each other, but as time was going on in detention they were starting to really like each other. They became an in group towards the end of the movie because they made their own grouping, which they referred to it as The Breakfast Club . When each of the students came into detention, they each had their own identities and their own underlying issues that no one knew about. When they started to open up and grow closer with each other, their identities changed all together. They were beginning to show their real personalities within each other and at the end of the film they all embraced who they really were on the inside and who everyone else was. In every high school film, there are always the teenage stereotypes that are seen. In The Breakfast Club, the five students each represented the major stereotypes that people join with high school. Claire was considered the preppy popular girl, John was considered the bad boy, Allison was considered the weird emo girl, Andrew was considered the school s best athlete and jock, and lastly Brian was the nerd. The crazy thing about this was that those stereotypes didn t even match the students, those stereotypes are what they used to hide their real identities. John wasn t the real bad boy, he was insecure and scared. Claire didn t like being popular because she hated to agree with everyone, she wanted to be herself but she couldn t around certain people. Brian didn t want to be the nerd, but his parents made him become one. Brian was just as cool and chill as the other students but he could never show

  • 8. Casti Connubai On Christian Marriage 1.Christ dignified chaste wedlock before the coming of Christ by establishing it as a form of companionship between two people who will come together to have children. He designed this union to be the foundation of society. Christ further dignified wedlock by taking the Church as His bride. 2.In Casti Connubii on Christian Marriage, Pope Pius XI lists two things men must do to obtain the fruits of the sacrament of matrimony. The first is to be enlightened and fully understand Christ s true doctrine regarding matrimony itself. The second is to still remain pure in their thoughts and actions in order to obtain true peace and happiness for themselves and for their families . 3.a. The Pope sees a need to speak about the sanctity of marriage at this time because he saw that the people of his day were beginning to forget the importance of a holy marriage. It especially applies today with the leniency of how human intimacy is treated. Knowing this, the Pope spoke of it to remind people the importance of a Holy Christian marriage. b. We know the Pope is teaching infallibly here because he is re explaining a teaching already in practice. He doesn t add anything to the core of the teaching, which is to avoid temptation in the context of human intimacy, by shows specifically the temptations presented at that time in which the faithful should avoid. We can further confirm that the Pope speaks infallibly because all teachings of the Pope come from God, and there cannot be a fallible teaching from God Himself. 5. a. The point of Arcanum Divinae , as explained by Pope Pius XI, was to concentrate of matrimony as a divine institution and it s sacramental and perpetual stability. He used this Encyclical specifically as a reference and foundation for his own Encyclical. The only difference being that Arcanum Divinae speaks of the spiritual aspects of the sacrament while the Casti Connubii speaks of both the sacramental and the earthly systems and their effect on the lives of men. b. Man cannot change the laws that strengthen marriage because such laws were not created by man. It is a fundamental doctrine that the institution of matrimony and its laws were written by God. Since God is infallible, and

  • 11. The Character Of Don Giovanni Don Giovanni is the protagonist of one of the most famous Mozart s operas. Mozart s protagonist is based of the Spanish tale s character named Don Juan, a famous womanizer. According to Cambridge Dictionary, a hero is defined as a person admire for bravery, great achievements, or good qualities, [1] it can be said that Don Giovanniis brave, at his standards has some great achievements, and has some good qualities such as fearlessness, courage, and firm to his beliefs. One of the main reasons why some people label Don Giovanni as a villain is because at the beginning of the operaDonna Anna claims that Giovanni has raped her and then calls him a murder when he kills her father. When taken a closer look at those specific scenes, such claims are less credible. Instead of being afraid like a usual rape victim, she seems furious. The claim of rape gets even more questionable when Donna Anna s first recrimination is betrayer, instead of rapist. It gives the impression that she appears to be angry at the fact that he is leaving her. Describing Don Giovanni as a murder also seems to be inaccurate. It has to be clarified that killing someone in a duel is not a murder. Donna s father was the one who challenged Don Giovanni. He clearly knew that the only outcome was for one of them to die, and that there was a chance that it could be him. It is also important to take into account that Giovanni repeatedly refused to fight. Music helps to describe the characters, Every character stands out in the musical picture. [3] It can be an indication of how he is portrayed as a hero. Mozart shows Don Giovanni as courageous, strong and confident. When analyzing music, it can notice that Giovanni gets great music. Mozart provides Don Giovanni with an aria that explicitly embraces his philosophy of enjoying life: the famous champagne aria, Finch han dal vino. [2] This music is presented as full of life and celebration which means that Don is shown as the force of life. It can be also be deduced who Don is by contrasting his character with other s. Mozart also tells us who Don Giovanni is by telling us who he is not. [3] Leporello is depicted as a character who is a whiner, coward, and a follower. In one of the final

This essay will be examining this specific film through a worldview perspective. For the purposes of this essay, worldview will be defined as a perceptual framework . (The Transforming Vision, pg. 17) Worldviews can be specific to a single person, or generalized to a group of people. The worldview expressed in this essay through examples from The Fellowship of the Ringwill come from the theme of Creation. This theme of Creation is correlated with the creation of the universe by God, as written in the book of Genesis. God created the heavens and the earth before Jesus was born; before salvation ever occurred. Similarly, The Fellowship of the Ring opens with a narrative explaining what the One Ring was and its importance to the rest of the story. The film does not begin with Frodo saving the day, but rather the history that laid the foundation for his journey to happen. The ring was forged in the fires of Orodruin by the Dark Lord Sauron after he convinced the elven smiths of Eregoin to forge the Rings of Power. Although God is nowhere near the same as Sauron, both created something specific to bring glory to themselves: God made the world, Sauron made a ring. The difference is that God had a holy and righteous reason for creating, while Sauron did it for evil and selfish purposes. God was able to speak the earth into existence (Genesis 1:3), but Sauron had

Octopi Research Paper Octopi The Anti Pac Man The title of this project is Octopi, and is based on the original Pac Man where the player controls the titular character through a maze while eating dots. When all dots are eaten, you progress to the next stage. Four enemies roam the maze trying to catch Pac Man. If an enemy touches Pac Man, a life is lost, and when all lives have been lost, the game ends. Near the corners of the maze are four larger dots that provide Pac Man with the temporary ability to eat the enemies. The enemies turn deep blue, reverse direction and usually move more slowly. When an enemy is eaten, its eyes remain and return to the center box where it is regenerated to its normal color. A bonus life is also awarded each time the score accumulates 10k points. However the catch with Octopi is that the role of the player is reversed, in that you actually play as the ghost or octopoda like creatures featured in the original game, and it is your objective to put an end to the notorious Pac Man who has invaded your habitat and is going around consuming all the whelks ... Instead of going to a bank, a company often offers investors either debt or equity in their company. After exploring debt ownership last week, this week we are going to explore equity ownership. One of the major concerns of owning equity in a company is the ability of that company to perform, which is the only one of the only ways an investor can receive a return on an equity instrument. The most common form of equity ownership in a company is common stock and by owning shares, you are a part owner of the company. Along with ownership comes the right to vote on certain company issues such as voting for the board of directors, stock splits, and other company objectives (Harrison, Horngren, Thomas, 2015). Common stockholders often have preemptive rights that allow shareholders to maintain their portion of ownership in a company should the company choose to sell additional shares. Along with the benefits there is a drawback, in the event a company declares bankruptcy, common stock shareholders are the last individuals to receive company assets behind creditors, bondholders, and preferred stock shareholders. There are two classes of common stock shares Class A and Class B. The biggest different between the two are the number of votes attached to the class or whether one class even has any voting rights. When thinking about the Internet, one always appears to assume that the development of computer technology has been driven by a few giants of the industry. Indeed, we always assume that it is the big people that made it. And yet, the truth is very different. As a Teen Science Scholar in the earth sciences department, last summer, I was given life changing opportunity to go to the Society of Vertebrate Paleontologys annual international conference, to interact with the best paleontologists of the day and to present my own findings. After working for months with DMNS scientists to move and organize collections, micropick and sort fossils, study osteology, dig for mammal fossils from the Miocene in ... In this poster, Dr. Sertich, Ms. Mackenzie, Kathleen, and myself described the geological composition of the formation, the interesting combination of Fauna found at the site, and the work we had done in the formation over the summer. While so many incredible people contributed to this project, in particular Ms. Mackenzie, who is one of the most amazing paleontologist I have ever met, it was up to me and Kathleen to present this poster to professional paleontologists on our own. This opportunity to contribute to the knowledge of the paleontological community has been one of the biggest honors and most thrilling experience of my life thus far and I am eager to return to SVP again in the
  • 45. The United States Center For Disease Control The United States Center for Disease Control recommends deferrals for several group of people based on various criteria. One of the group subjected to a deferral are men who have sex with men, referred to hereafter as MSM, and women who have sex with MSM. In November of 2014, a twelve month deferral period replaced a lifetime ban on MSM donating blood. The basis for these deferral policies is preventing the spread of infectious diseases, particularly Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), through blood transfusions. While the goal of the policy is well intentioned, it possesses serious flaws and shortcomings. There are many ways in which the current blood donation policy is inadequate. From a medical perspective, there are better indicators... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, the use of illegal injection drugs is by far the biggest indicator of HIV risk. The deferral policy does consider injection drug use. ( Advisory Committee ) Conversely, many risk factors are not considered in the policy. The majority of HIV infections are the result of unprotected sex, which is not included in the policy. ( HIV Among Gay ) Another unconsidered factor is testing positive for other STIs. Having an STI can put someone at a higher risk for getting another STI because the immune system can be compromised and open sores outbreaks can ask as pathways for infection disease. ( HIV Among Gay ) Likewise, a record of frequent STIs can indicate that a person is more susceptible to sexually transmission of infections due to their reproductive anatomy. ( Love ) Just as there are risk factors, there are many ways to decrease that risk. Proper condom use decreases the risk of HIV infection by 98 99% and using a medication called pre exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, before sexual contact can reduce the risk by 92 99%. ( Love ) Knowing the HIV status of an individual s partner or partners can also greatly reduce the change of HIV transmission. After all, the only way to become infected with HIV is to come into contact with a person who is HIV positive. The CDC justifies the deferral policy with the higher rates of HIV among gay and bisexual men. ( Revised Recommendations ) This is not to be disregarded. In 2014, the
  • 46. Cheetah Research Paper The spectacle of a cheetah running at full speed is art; the anatomy and physique facilitating its speed and agility is genetic engineering at its best. The cheetah can accelerate from 0 60 mph in 3 seconds, making it the fastest land animal on the planet. Yes, even faster than Usain Bolt. Like Bolt, the cheetahis a sprinter not a long distance runner and can only attain high speeds in short bursts due to the tremendous drain on its energy resources. It could take up to 30 minutes for a cheetah to recover from a chase. So just how can this big cataccelerate faster than a Ferrari? On the exterior, the cheetah is the most slender of the big cats; its lightweight body (weighing about 80 140 lbs.), small head and long legs are designed for aerodynamics. Structurally, the cheetah has a unique, flexible spine, which allows for extreme flexion and extension while running at top speeds.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To reach extension, the spine recoils like a spring propelling the cheetah s legs out; it is this portion of the gait where the cheetah is able to reach strides up to 25 feet . Lastly, the cheetah is equipped with blunt, semi retractable claws, which function similarly to soccer cleats. Since its claws never fully retract, like other big cats, they are always at the ready to provide powerful traction to the ground.Observing the cheetah s gait in slow motion makes the dynamics of the flexible spine easily detectable. You ll notice that only one foot at time makes contact with the ground all the while, the cheetah s gaze is unfaltering it is locked and loaded on its prey. See the claws? Unlike other big cats, they only partially retract.
  • 47. Anterior Cruciate Ligaments Of Knee The knee is a synovial, hinge joint that is critical to every day body functions. Its complicated yet simple structure gives it all it needs in order to flex and extend the legs. The knee is made up of four bones: patella, femur, tibia, and fibula. The femur is the largest bone in the body and is supported by the weight bearing knee joint. The bones are connected and supported by tendons and ligaments. The four ligaments each have a job to keep the structure of the knee and move it. First off, the anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) prevents the knee from hyperextending in a forward motion. Along with the ACL, the posterior cruciate ligament(PCL) prevents the joint from displacing and sliding off. In the same sense, the medial collateral ligament
  • 48. Descriptive Essay On The Arc Generally, at The Arc, we like to think that we re ahead of the curve, but it seems like our summer 2017 vacation destination was right on trend, Portugal. The Algarve, Lisbon, and Porto were on everyone s list, Instagram feed, and mind. The country has been a long time favorite vacation destination of Europeans, with the Algarvebeing the ultimate stop. For those unfamiliar, it runs the southern coast of the country and is home to many of its most picturesque beaches. Think sweeping cliffs, pristine blue water and this compounded with over 300 days of sun annually, how did it take North Americans so long to discover? Landing in Faro with stops in Olhao and Lagos, we were looking forward to experiencing a little more than the beach. We re ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After a survey of its offerings, we picked up sardines, clams, special Portuguese greens (that had a mild resemblance to kale) and an array of fresh produce. Cooking in a rental or Airbnb kitchen can certainly pose some challenges, dull knives, flimsy plastic cutting boards and certainly no mandolin in sight, but it can push creativity and force one to look for outside inspiration, which in our case was very literal. The little house was on a small plot of land where chickens grazed and was home to a wide variety of plant life. We rolled up our sleeves and did a little backyard foraging. Our salad dressing included grape juice straight from the vine and local honey from the owner s apiary that he had left as a gift. The herb sauce that garnished our vegetables included fresh almonds plucked from the tree. In the midsummer Algarvian dusk, we feasted on grilled sardines, steamed clams, grilled Mediterranean vegetables, stewed greens, simple green salad and fresh bread. A meal and a trip that will be remembered beyond far beyond any of the coast s Michelin starred restaurants. If you should be so inspired on your next holiday to do a little cooking here are some tips and simple
