This document describes the design and development of a water propelled resistojet. Tests will be performed to investigate the effects of mass flow rate and heater current on chamber pressure, thrust, chamber temperature, and specific impulse. A nichrome coil was selected as the heating element. Calculations were provided for mass of water required, energy required, time for one cycle, throat area, and chamber efficiency. An unsteady state heat transfer equation was also presented. The document discusses instruments used like thermocouples and load cells. It includes a CAD model and 3D view of the design as well as a timeline.
