Correct Writing Process Analysis
What is the correct writing process? There are different techniques that a person can follow in order to
be a good writer. For instance, People can use any process to write an essay as longer they follow the
direction from their instructor and make sure that everything make sans and it is spell correctly. For
example I was taught that the best way to writing an essay is to organize all the ideas, then write the
essay, also make sure all the punctuation, spelling, grammar are correct, and finally reread and make
corrections I want to say that when I write an essay I rarely do brainstorming, and I know that is not
correct to start writing. I usually type what I think it is relate it to the topic that I am supposed to write

Causes Of Scarlet Fever Infection
Scarlet Fever When illness strikes, children have a very difficult time explaining how they are feeling.
Thus, parents must rely on visual cues and changes in behavior to determine when their child is ill.
This week s discussion will focus on an 8 year old child who was taken to Emergency Room with
abdominal pain resulting in appendicitis. After surgery was performed, the child then developed a
health care associated infection, scarlet fever. This post will also cover the following items:
implications of being exposed to a patient with scarlet fever, nursing actions to prevent the spread of
the infection, two nursing actions and an explanation of precautions for this kind of childhood
infection, finally a nursing diagnosis statement appropriate for this patient to included corresponding
outcomes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main risk factor for contracting scarlet fever is coming in contact with the bacteria responsible for
the infection. This bacteria can be spread in respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or
sneezes. (Centers for Disease and Control Prevention, 2016). An outbreak of strep throat or scarlet
fever in the community, neighborhood, or school may increase the risk of infection. To minimized the
spread of this diseases and other childhood disease parents need to be educated in the spread of such
diseases by requiring children to have immunizations (Pillitteri, 2014).
Nursing Diagnosis
To carry out patient care, an appropriate nursing diagnosis is developed based on the child s
assessment.

Essay about The History of Rock
The History of Rock
As one of the most popular music genres, rock music has grown and expanded to incorporate many
styles throughout the years. A rock band usually consists of a vocalist, an acoustic drum kit played
with a strong beat, usually a back beat, and features electric and acoustic guitars. From its beginnings
in the late 1950s and early 1960s until the present day, rock has changed styles seemingly every
decade as new bands become popular because of their unique style of music. Throughout the years
rock has influenced our culture and helped shape the world we live in today.
Rock and roll was born in the late 1950s. Primary influenced from southern artists like Elvis Presley
and Bill Haley, this new genre of music though ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This led to the involvement of orchestral instruments in rock.
Punk rock became popular due to the record industry s split from the major recording companies.
Smaller independent recording labels indorsed underground artists. This divided mainstream rock, like
Elvis Presley, and alternative rock, like The Grateful Dead. Other hard rock groups that got there start
in the 1970s were Kiss, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Rush, Journey, and Van Halen.
The mid to late 1970s brought about a slow but steady change in punk rock. With the advent of heavy
metal and punk rock bands an explosion of new rock genres emerged. The change was started by three
bands from New York. The New York Dolls, the Dictators and the Ramones started a new trend that
quickly spread throughout Europe and the rest of the world. It slowly caught on in the US and when it
finally did the hardcore form of punk rock became a national expression for millions of teens and
young adults for the next two decades.
The merging of heavy metal and punk rock was bound to happen. Although attempted in 1978 by the
Ramones, bands from Las Angeles became the first to successfully complete the crossover into punk
metal.
In the early 1980s, alternative rock bands like REM began to get a lot of airtime on college radio
stations and appearances on MTV and other TV settings. Before long numerous alternative radio
stations appeared

Kindertransport Essay
Discuss the role of the Ratcatcher in this extract and elsewhere in the play.
The play Kindertransport written by Diane Samuels rotates immensely around the Ratcatcher. The
Ratcatcher s role in this extract and the whole play can be interpreted in many ways.
The given extract begins with Helga reluctantly agreeing to read The Ratcatcher as a bedtime story to
Eva. The reasons for Helga s reluctance remain ambiguous as the play proceeds with Helga reading
the book simultaneous to Faith who is in a different setting also reading the same book. The following
scene is of Eva frantically leaving in a train.
Helga s hesitancy in this extract as Eva requests The Ratcatcher books suggests an underlying
implication that the tale is similar ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the play proceeds the Ratcatcher also takes upon a number of different characters such as the Nazi
Border Official, the English Organiser, the Station Guard, etc. All of these are portray threatening and
patronising characters that stereotype her or simply authoritative figures. This reflects the author s
attempt to present to the reader the different viewpoints of the society about the Jews and refugees
such as Eva.
In addition another key factor which has a significant impact on the manner in which the Ratcatcher s
role can be interpreted is the language used to describe him in the given extract. He is described as
someone who hisses the aggressive words I will find you. The use of the strong verb I will indicates a
threatening and predatory tone. A similarly threatening tone is used further into the play by an officer
who exclaims Sir! Sorry Sir indicating Eva to repeat after him. The stage directions also state that the
officer bodysearches Eva which reflect his threatening and patronising character. The similar character
of authority figures to the Ratcatcher suggests that perhaps these figures are just the reality version of
the Ratcatcher.
The Ratcatcher Music is one of the factors frequently referred to in the stage directions of the play.
Soon in the play it is evident that the music is often added into the scene in which

Shiloh, By Bobbie Ann Mason
Shiloh , by Bobbie Ann Mason, explores an interesting theme, the distinct parallel between the surface
level of what the events of the story are, and the meaning underneath. This parallel is seen throughout
the story, from the start when Leroy Moffitt is building craft kits for at first just to pass time, while
Norma Jean is lifting weights and working at a Rexall drugstore for the same reason; To later on when
Norma says she doesn t know what she s talking about and Leroy thinks that the way to saving his
marriage is to come up with a last minute idea. The story engages the theme of the parallel levels
through the unstable marriage of Leroy and Norma Jean. The theme of this parallel is shown overtly
through the images, descriptions, and characterizations of the log cabins in the story, and of Shiloh.
Interestingly, the characters and the world they live in are stuck on the surface, shown through how
both Leroy and Norma Jean drift on subjects, and through the names in the story.
Norma Jean and Leroy s marriage shows an insight on the theme in action because of how their lack
of understanding the inner workings of marriage, which causes them to drift apart and eventually
separate. One of the most important things in marriage is the ability to communicate, but neither of
them are able to do so on a meaningful level. An example of this is when Norma Jean starts to explain
why she wants to leave him, then as she walks away she takes back what she said, adding No, it

Building A Way For Mcgill Students
Background The objective of this business proposal is to establish a way for McGill students to be
informed of the occupancy, or rather, the vacancy of seats in the libraries on McGill campus. It is our
group s aim to come up with a system which can count the number of people on the each floor of a
library facility and to calculate the number of vacant seats available. In order to do achieve this
objective, we are to situate sensors at the main entrances of the libraries as well as at the entryways of
each floor in the library buildings. By counting the traffic of people who are entering and exiting each
library building, as well as each floor, an approximate number of the seats taken in different parts of
libraries can be estimated. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to the rapid advancement in information technology (IT), which entails information,
communication, mobile, and networking technologies, the service sector s list of ventures is constantly
expanding (Rust Huang, 2014). The advances in IT sector, therefore, are very closely associated with
the service revolution and the information revolution. Rust and Huang (2014) aim to explain these
phenomena s relationship to advances in IT and to consider the implications of this relationship for
marketing science. Much of the drastic transformation of the world s service sector from an industrial
to a post industrial service society is due to both the contribution of IT to service and from IT as a
service. In other words, the advancement of IT has transformed the nature of service fundamentally
(Rust Huang, 2014). IT plays a role of facilitator; as the mobile and networking technology allows the
consumers to access various services anywhere at any time, IT facilitates firm to customer, firm to
firm, and customer to firm communications online and on mobile devices. Hence, this trend enables
application developers to tailor services to fit the needs of each consumer (Rust Huang, 2014). As an
application developer aims to satisfy a specific need of the target consumers, the service quality and
the satisfaction of the consumers increase. As Figure 1

Argumentative Essay On Boy Scouts
Scouting will continue to teach respect and dignity to all people regardless of their ethnic background
their skin color or their religious believes. The challenge in America is many scouting organizations
belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which may or may not except other
religions. However there are many scouting organizations that are not sponsored by the church those
organizations will welcome boys from all backgrounds.
When you think about how scouts can help improve humanity you have to look at the things they are
accomplishing every year. They will raise money to support their organization however they often
work hand in hand in the local community. Each year Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts participate in trash
cleanup activities, building projects with Habitat for Humanity, food drives to support the homeless,
and parades. Add a young age scouts are taught to become a part of their community and they must
take care of their community by cleaning up after themselves and to leave an area better than they
found it. You will have young men and boys blending in to a scalp unit from all different backgrounds
and cultures they will learn how to help one another. A child is never born knowing how to

Macroeconomic Performance Indicator Of The Netherlands
2. Macroeconomic Performance ( 2010 2015)
The Macroeconomic performance indicator analyzed in the report includes GDP growth, inflation,
unemployment and Fiscal and monetary budget balances.
The Netherlands is the 6th largest economy in the Euro Area and it is a crucial transportation hub in
Europe. The Netherlands economy depends on foreign trade heavily both exports and imports alike.
Its exports account for 83 percent of the GDP and its imports for 72 percent. The GDP Country Rank
of the Dutch is 25/193(2014).
The weightage of each component of the GDP is as follows: a) Household consumption (45 percent),
b) Government expense (26 percent) c) Gross fixed capital formation (18 percent), d) Net trade (11
percent)
By observation of the last 2 decades, Netherlands has an averaged GDP growth of 0.53% between
1988 and 2015, all time high: 1.80% (Q1 1999) and all time low: 3.30% (Q1 2009).
This year, the Dutch economy has progressed by only 0.1 percent on quarter in the three months to
September 2015. It has underperformed and fallen short of the market expectations by 0.3% growth.
Investment has slowed down and consumption has reached a stagnation(flat) with only government
expenditure acting as the key growth factor after showing zero growth in the last quarter.Imports have
risen at a pace of 1.1% whereas exports only by 0.7%, thus, the net demand for external sources has
dragged down the pace of growth.

Analysis Of High School Based Television Shows Violence...
In high school based television shows there are constant themes of insecurity and the division of
popular kids and the outcasts. Unfortunately, that is how the world works, people are labeled and
associated with certain groups. These labels force people into thinking that they have to look a certain
way or follow popular trends. Just like Susannah Calahan in Brain on Fire, she suffers from an illness
and during her recovery she criticizes herself based off of what society expects her to look like. Social
norms are deeply entrenched in everyone s life to the point where Susannah tries to hide her sickness
and put on a strong face just to avoid being labeled as abnormal. There is a sense of her fear of being
ridiculed and alienated from her loved ones since she does not fulfill the common image society has
on women. Susannah is embarrassed by her actions, her appearance and she refuses to accept that her
new self is even a part of her identity. Susannah does not view her post illness appearance as
acceptable despite having no control over the outcome. Identity is in fact a matter of social
construction since Susannah s self esteem and perception of herself deteriorates as she finds herself
deviating from what is considered normal. One important aspect of Susannah s illness is that it causes
her to dramatically shift from a sociable person to someone who cannot hold a conversation.
Throughout the duration of her sickness and her road to recovery, often times she cannot

The Great Gatsby And Daisy
All literary genres are dealing with the particular context and construction to reflect on values,
attitudes in human societies of various eras. The comparative study of Elizabeth Barrett Browning s
Sonnets of the Portuguese and Scott Fitzgerald s Pros fiction The Great Gatsby allow for a thorough
evaluation of the relationship between the texts contexts and values. Both composers craft arguments
on the nature of and value of life itself within the framework of love and spirituality. Browning,
however writes from the perspective of a woman challenging values of the conventions of the
Victorian era. Whilst, Fitzgerald construct s his text as an indictment on the emerging hedonistic and

This is due to the destructive aftermath of war, in which society s views of God was tarnished and
hence believed that living a life of instant gain and materialism will fulfil the need and presence of
God in their lives. This is portrayed through a series of events, in which include: The Buchanan s
dinner party. Every one of the seven deadly sins (pride, envy, wrath, sloth, avarice, gluttony, and lust)
is well represented. None of the characters are free from the deadly sins, which are conventionally
marked the downfall of a spiritual society. Fitzgerald uses the acts and actions of his characters to
convey a sense of growing moral fragility, through symbolism. The eyes of Doctor T. J. Eckleburg, as
George Wilson reveals, represent the eyes of God. He believes that the enormous eyes watching over
the valley of ashes are the eyes of God. Therefore, Fitzgerald is suggesting that society has fallen so
far away from traditional religious and spiritual teachings that people have lost all faith and can only
misread the material world around them. For example, accumulating and venerating material objects
such as billboards. Finally, there was a strong rejection of the spiritual and moral principles of the
past, with an increased emphasis on the value of each individual s materialistic and opportunistic
desires. This is accentuated through the transient symbiotic love

Comparison of Miracle on St. David s Day by Gillian Clarke and Daffodils by William Wordsworth
Daffodils was written by William Wordsworth approximately a century before Miracle on St. David s
Day was written by Gillian Clarke. Due to this, the poems differ greatly in their style and language.
Observing the poems at first glance, it is obvious that they also contrast in content, however at greater
depth, the connections between them are made obvious. In this essay, I will be discussing the
connections and differences between the two poems. The daffodil is the national symbol of Wales; it
represents hope, joy and celebration. Both of the poets make this markedly palpable using this as a
theme for their poems. In Miracle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The poems are both set in the springtime because they describe the daffodils (which only come out in
spring). Spring is known as a time of new beginnings and re birth. This is used effectively in context
with Miracle on St. David s Day , as there is a new beginning for the man who speaks for the first time
in forty years, having awakened something inside himself that he thought was gone. In Daffodils ,
from time to time Wordsworth reawakens his memory of the daffodils when he is feeling down, and
this memory in turn reawakens the joy that he had felt. In both poems spring is a suitable setting
instead of winter or autumn, which generally represent despair and gloom. Both poems, in their
description of the daffodils use a hyperbole of the number of daffodils. Miracle on St. David s Day
describes: Outside the daffodils a thousand, ten thousand and Daffodils describes: never ending line
ten thousand saw I at a glance . However, the poems differ in their visual depiction of the daffodils.
Miracle on St. David s Day describes them as yellow still as wax creams and yellows still flowers
silence the daffodils are flame . Wordsworth describes them as golden fluttering dancing They contrast
in that Clarke describes them almost as a picture, a flash image of Wordsworth s memory. The

The Land Acts are one of the many laws established by the white supremacy government to separate
the different races in South Africa. Under apartheid, native South Africans (black) would be forced to

The Importance Of Professional Development
Engaging teachers in a learning community, fosters professional growth by developing relationships
among peers (Schramm, 2006). Learning communities provide professional development that is
implemented to improve the learning of students and professionalism of teachers. Teachers within
learning communities are organized in order to collaborate on addressing goals that are aligned with
expected school and district outcomes. Effective leadership is a key factor in effective implementation
of professional development within a school (Schramm, 2006). In order to maximize the benefits of
professional development opportunities, school leaders need to provide staff development that is
focused on improving the learning of students. Focused professional development requires skillful
school leaders who are knowledgeable and capable of guiding teachers and the school in continuous
instructional improvement. Providing teachers with access to resources that support the strategies
learned during professional development is imperative for effective implementation (Schramm, 2006).
Increasing teacher exposure to educational resources, benefits both the teacher and the student.
However, in order for resources to adequately meet the need of the teacher and student, professional
development must be provided on effective use and implementation. Professional development that
provides teachers with the tools and knowledge to effectively use data is necessary for improving
student outcomes

Effects Of Group Counseling For Adolescent Immigrants
Group Counseling for Adolescent Immigrants
One of the most important factors of immigration is, in most of the times, the difficult process of
acculturation. This process can be difficult as a person has to adopt the new culture and social
standards. Therefore, immigrants, in general, can experience many stressors, such as discrimination,
lack of financial resources, language inadequacy, disorientation, and many more. The result of all of
the effect of those stressors in a person is called Acculturative Stress (Cite Acculturative Stress,
Anxiety... Hovey, Joseph). In the case of adolescents, they are all living through a period in life that
involves psychological and physical development. During this stage, they are also finding their true
self and identity (Cite Group therapy on the edge).
Many families coming from another country, looking for better opportunities, often come with

the many factors that can affect adolescent immigrants are discrimination, due to their new social
status as immigrants and because they are part of a racial/ethnic minority, and insecurity based on lack
of language proficiency. One of the predictors of depressive symptoms is the experience of being
discriminated, which can contribute to a negative perception of the adolescent s ethnic group. Also,

The Importance Of Creole Women In The Twentieth Century
Throughout history, women always had a specific role that they had to play. Whether it is being a good
mother or taking care of children, they had different duties compared to men. This cultural expectation
still exists today in many different countries. Women are expected to fulfill tasks that seem unsuitable
for men, and if they did not complete it then they would be deemed as a bad mother and society would
think that they are rebellious and useless for not being able to complete simple tasks. They would also
be scrutinized if they are not like everyone else. This applies to Creole women living in America
during the early twentieth century. Women during that time period are prevented from having the
freedom to explore and self evaluate. As a result of that, they cannot grow as a person. This is shown
in the two novels Antigone by Kate Chopin and Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale
Hurston. The cultural expectation of a woman s behavior in the early twentieth century prevents
women from growing because they are expected to behave a certain way while being unable to
express their true self.
In the early twentieth century, Creole women had specific tasks that they needed to perform which
held them back from exploring. They were expected to be a good wife that stayed at home to complete
chores, take care of children, and do everything that a typical mother would do. Some had jobs
working at a factory, but most of the time women were just stay at home moms. One

Taking a Look at Educational Psychology
This course has taught me many new things about teaching. I have gained knowledge about topics
such as moral education, expertise, decision making, and classroom management, just to name a few.
Through the reading and portfolio essays, my desire to teach has strengthened throughout the
semester. Because of this course, I now have a better understanding of the educational and
psychological needs my future students, as well as myself, will have and how to meet them. The
portfolio essays that I have completed throughout this course have taught me several things. Each
week, the essay reviewed and allowed me to think more in depth about the content in the chapter. I
was forced to think critically about each topic and even occasionally do further research in order to
write the essay. An example of this, and also one of my favorite portfolio essays, was the essay from
Chapter 7. I chose to write the portfolio essay on the television show Sesame Street. I greatly enjoyed
writing this essay, as it was very interesting to watch an episode of Sesame Street while analyzing it
for educational material. Writing this essay opened my eyes to many educational opportunities outside
of school that I can utilize in my future classroom. The portfolio essay from Chapter 14 allowed me to
ponder the relationship between teacher and student. This is an area in which I have slight concern. I
fear that as a teacher I will be too nice and possibly overstep my boundaries or under estimate my

The Generation X And Generation Y
In this study, the most interesting insight I read that the article distinguishes two generations,
generation X and generation Y, they have varied on expectation of life. Additionally, the employer
should realize to diversities of employee personality in the organization, which might contribute to
making a conflict in teamwork such as having the different attitude, not understanding in other
characteristics, confident of subconscious and so on. The generation X, who is composed of the parent
of generation Y (born between 1965 and 1981), this generation has an optimistic aspect, and also
prefer having life balances with working hard. In contrast, the generation Y (born between 1982 and
2000), the generation Y (born between 1982 and 2000), who grew up with enslavement by technology
and have more independent (Susaeta et al. 2013). So, I have comprehended the key which might
helpful to make deduction of working in the future.
However, I think the personal behavior depends on education developmental, nation cultural and the
environment where is they grew up, especially the influence of family affects to new generation
thinking. As can be seen in the study of the authors of attitude to work shows that the means for
attitudes to work both for individuals in generation X and Y are slightly different, it might because of
the nation cultural. For example , Thai cultural is always taught young people that they should respect
to eldest people is for showing more sincerity and honoring ,

Jurassic plutonic rocks of the Talkeetna arc (Reed and Lanphere, 1973; Reed et al., 1983; Rioux et al.,

Summary Of Arlette Farge s Allure Of The Archives
Archives can be made up of letters, records, paintings, photos, artifacts, and others for preservation to
understand what occurred during a period in history or the perspective of a person s life. Many of
these archives can be found in museums and libraries around the world for researchers or historians to
obtain information about events that occurred in the past. Although, there are still hidden documents
that have yet to be discovered. When researchers or historian begin their journey of going through
these documents, they will soon realize the difficulties of finding a never ending answer to their
objective. Arlette Farge created the novel, Allure of the Archives, to provide a perspective of a female
researcher searching through archives ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She visits the French National Archives, Library of the Arsenal, and the National Library to find
information related to women during the eighteenth century. Farge compares archives as judicial
reports because they share a similar preservation. For example, logbooks in the police departments are
archived because it can be easily accessed for future investigations. Judicial reports are like archives
discovered because people from the past may have left these documents or artifacts for future
generations to discover to conduct research. The researcher continues to discuss several issues she
came across when going through these archives. Before the creation of technology, many of the
discovered documents have deteriorated physically, and torn corners or margin nibble away by time
can swallow words whole. The writing in the margins has often become illegible, and a single missing
word can leave their meaning in suspense (Farge 56). This was an issue that occurred frequently
towards the researcher because some of them were incomplete and may have possible hold the
answers to the questions. Many of these documents may have been exposed to elements, such as
water, fire and others, that may have increased the deterioration rate. Luckily, technology has
advanced over the years to save these documents onto the computer before disappearing forever.
Another issue she endured was determining what was truth from fictional. Also, figuring out what is
important and useless to her research. For example, an event may have caused one person to fabricate
information to gain popularity, while another document may have left out important information. This
would lead the researcher to look for more documents to compare information from one document to

Personal Worldview Inventory. A “Worldview” Is The Term
Personal Worldview Inventory
A worldview is the term use to describe a complete way of viewing the world around you. Worldview
differs from person to person and can be determined by religion (Grand Canyon University [GCU],
2015) or by family customs; therefore, individual s worldview is something that was not developed
over night. It is something the person has learned and believed to be true their whole life which direct
the way they think, see the world around them and make decisions. With the different view and
mindsets of individuals, it is complicated to make everyone happy and this can create tension between
science and religion. The purpose of this paper is to write on a personal worldview inventory,

Pluralism
The understanding of the concept Pluralism is when different people from different class, religions,
race, culture, organizations, etc., are living together in a society and they continue to practice their
different traditions or interest, rather than just one group or culture determining how things go.
Pluralism recognized the fact that different religious or cultures have equal right to voice their ideas or
opinions. No one particular religion or worldview is privileged over others, therefore the truth is
beyond the ability of one group to capture.
Scientism
Scientism is the belief that the best or only way to have knowledge of reality is be means of sciences
(Moreland and Craig, 2003, pp. 246 350). In other word, scientism is calming that the only way to
gain knowledge is through science, therefore every other knowledge that is not form science is either
opinion or false. There is no thought that science has made a different in the society, but that does not
make science the only way to knowledge. There are some inadequacies of scientism, it should be
noted that moral, ethical, and religious claims all involved normative claims about the way the world
ought to be (Grand Canyon University [GCU], 2015).
Postmodernism

emerged from his studies of comparative mythologies. He asserted that we think in story and that our

Business Model Final
Business Model Final 2 Business models have a huge impact on how an organizations operate. It is
crucial that an organization chose a business model before inception in order to succeed. Basically,
business models have become the new basis of competition, replacing product features and benefits as
the playing field on which companies emerge as dominant or laggards (Plantes, 2013).
The business model canvas is an excellent choice for businesses to use when starting a business. It
was created by Alex Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur. The Business Model Canvas, is a strategic
management and entrepreneurial tool and it allows you to describe, design, challenge, invent, and
pivot your business model (The Business Model Canvas, 2015).
From a business standpoint, the business model canvas is easy to use and it comes in different forms
of software. Start up businesses can use the model in a variety of ways. The business model canvas
can help them determine who their customer base will be and aid them in finding out how to reach
them. In today?s business world, competition is everywhere. A start up business must be able to be
competitive in order to succeed. Finally, a start up business must be able to understand the competition
and where they stack up against them.
A good example is a children?s clothing store. They must be able to understand what has made their

Reflection Paper On Cross Country
Last year my cross country season was going great I was redshirted and was put into uniform. I was at
the peak of my athletic ability and school was going pretty good. Coming into this cross country
season I could feel that I was not fit as last year which created a lot of concern for myself. I did
everything that the coach told me to do and yet my body didn t feel good at all. We got together at our
cross country camp which is the start of our cross country season and our first workout I struggled to
stay with the people I could so easily run with last year. My body felt bigger, my plantar was hurting,
and I could tell that my confidence wasn t the same. The first race was pretty good, but the next races
kept getting progressively worst. We traveled as a team to Lewis University to race a 6k and after the
race, we were going to change out of spike real fast to run a longer cooldown that would count for our
long run. During the race, I hit the 4K mark I could feel that something wasn t right. My hands
became numb, my stomach began to hurt, I became light headed, and my body felt heavy. I finish and
fell to the ground in exhaustion, but right away my teammates pulled me up to get ready for the long

From its beginnings in the late 1950s and early 1960s until the present day, rock has changed styles seemingly every decade as new bands become popular because of their unique style of music. This led to the involvement of orchestral instruments in rock. Punk rock became popular due to the record industry s split from the major recording companies. Smaller independent recording labels indorsed underground artists. This divided mainstream rock, like Elvis Presley, and alternative rock, like The Grateful Dead. Other hard rock groups that got there start in the 1970s were Kiss, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Rush, Journey, and Van Halen. The mid to late 1970s brought about a slow but steady change in punk rock. With the advent of heavy metal and punk rock bands an explosion of new rock genres emerged. The change was started by three bands from New York. The New York Dolls, the Dictators and the Ramones started a new trend that quickly spread throughout Europe and the rest of the world. It slowly caught on in the US and when it finally did the hardcore form of punk rock became a national expression for millions of teens and young adults for the next two decades. The Ratcatcher s role in this extract and the whole play can be interpreted in many ways. The given extract begins with Helga reluctantly agreeing to read The Ratcatcher as a bedtime story to Eva. The reasons for Helga s reluctance remain ambiguous as the play proceeds with Helga reading the book simultaneous to Faith who is in a different setting also reading the same book. The following scene is of Eva frantically leaving in a train. Helga s hesitancy in this extract as Eva requests The Ratcatcher books suggests an underlying implication that the tale is similar ... As the play proceeds the Ratcatcher also takes upon a number of different characters such as the Nazi Border Official, the English Organiser, the Station Guard, etc. All of these are portray threatening and patronising characters that stereotype her or simply authoritative figures. This reflects the author s attempt to present to the reader the different viewpoints of the society about the Jews and refugees such as Eva. In addition another key factor which has a significant impact on the manner in which the Ratcatcher s role can be interpreted is the language used to describe him in the given extract. He is described as someone who hisses the aggressive words I will find you. The use of the strong verb I will indicates a threatening and predatory tone. A similarly threatening tone is used further into the play by an officer who exclaims Sir! Sorry Sir indicating Eva to repeat after him. The stage directions also state that the officer bodysearches Eva which reflect his threatening and patronising character. The similar character of authority figures to the Ratcatcher suggests that perhaps these figures are just the reality version of the Ratcatcher. The Ratcatcher Music is one of the factors frequently referred to in the stage directions of the play. Soon in the play it is evident that the music is often added into the scene in which ... • 7. Shiloh, By Bobbie Ann Mason Shiloh , by Bobbie Ann Mason, explores an interesting theme, the distinct parallel between the surface level of what the events of the story are, and the meaning underneath. This parallel is seen throughout the story, from the start when Leroy Moffitt is building craft kits for at first just to pass time, while Norma Jean is lifting weights and working at a Rexall drugstore for the same reason; To later on when Norma says she doesn t know what she s talking about and Leroy thinks that the way to saving his marriage is to come up with a last minute idea. The story engages the theme of the parallel levels through the unstable marriage of Leroy and Norma Jean. The theme of this parallel is shown overtly through the images, descriptions, and characterizations of the log cabins in the story, and of Shiloh. Interestingly, the characters and the world they live in are stuck on the surface, shown through how both Leroy and Norma Jean drift on subjects, and through the names in the story. Norma Jean and Leroy s marriage shows an insight on the theme in action because of how their lack of understanding the inner workings of marriage, which causes them to drift apart and eventually separate. One of the most important things in marriage is the ability to communicate, but neither of them are able to do so on a meaningful level. An example of this is when Norma Jean starts to explain why she wants to leave him, then as she walks away she takes back what she said, adding No, it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Due to the rapid advancement in information technology (IT), which entails information, communication, mobile, and networking technologies, the service sector s list of ventures is constantly expanding (Rust Huang, 2014). The advances in IT sector, therefore, are very closely associated with the service revolution and the information revolution. Rust and Huang (2014) aim to explain these phenomena s relationship to advances in IT and to consider the implications of this relationship for marketing science. Much of the drastic transformation of the world s service sector from an industrial to a post industrial service society is due to both the contribution of IT to service and from IT as a service. In other words, the advancement of IT has transformed the nature of service fundamentally (Rust Huang, 2014). IT plays a role of facilitator; as the mobile and networking technology allows the consumers to access various services anywhere at any time, IT facilitates firm to customer, firm to firm, and customer to firm communications online and on mobile devices. Hence, this trend enables application developers to tailor services to fit the needs of each consumer (Rust Huang, 2014). • 14. Analysis Of High School Based Television Shows Violence... In high school based television shows there are constant themes of insecurity and the division of popular kids and the outcasts. Unfortunately, that is how the world works, people are labeled and associated with certain groups. These labels force people into thinking that they have to look a certain way or follow popular trends. Just like Susannah Calahan in Brain on Fire, she suffers from an illness and during her recovery she criticizes herself based off of what society expects her to look like. Social norms are deeply entrenched in everyone s life to the point where Susannah tries to hide her sickness and put on a strong face just to avoid being labeled as abnormal. There is a sense of her fear of being ridiculed and alienated from her loved ones since she does not fulfill the common image society has on women. Susannah is embarrassed by her actions, her appearance and she refuses to accept that her new self is even a part of her identity. Susannah does not view her post illness appearance as acceptable despite having no control over the outcome. Identity is in fact a matter of social construction since Susannah s self esteem and perception of herself deteriorates as she finds herself deviating from what is considered normal. One important aspect of Susannah s illness is that it causes her to dramatically shift from a sociable person to someone who cannot hold a conversation. This is portrayed through a series of events, in which include: The Buchanan s dinner party. Every one of the seven deadly sins (pride, envy, wrath, sloth, avarice, gluttony, and lust) is well represented. None of the characters are free from the deadly sins, which are conventionally marked the downfall of a spiritual society. Fitzgerald uses the acts and actions of his characters to convey a sense of growing moral fragility, through symbolism. The eyes of Doctor T. J. Eckleburg, as George Wilson reveals, represent the eyes of God. He believes that the enormous eyes watching over the valley of ashes are the eyes of God. Therefore, Fitzgerald is suggesting that society has fallen so far away from traditional religious and spiritual teachings that people have lost all faith and can only misread the material world around them. For example, accumulating and venerating material objects such as billboards. Finally, there was a strong rejection of the spiritual and moral principles of the past, with an increased emphasis on the value of each individual s materialistic and opportunistic desires. This is used effectively in context with Miracle on St. David s Day , as there is a new beginning for the man who speaks for the first time in forty years, having awakened something inside himself that he thought was gone. In Daffodils , from time to time Wordsworth reawakens his memory of the daffodils when he is feeling down, and this memory in turn reawakens the joy that he had felt. In both poems spring is a suitable setting instead of winter or autumn, which generally represent despair and gloom. • 23. The Importance Of Creole Women In The Twentieth Century Throughout history, women always had a specific role that they had to play. Whether it is being a good mother or taking care of children, they had different duties compared to men. This cultural expectation still exists today in many different countries. Women are expected to fulfill tasks that seem unsuitable for men, and if they did not complete it then they would be deemed as a bad mother and society would think that they are rebellious and useless for not being able to complete simple tasks. They would also be scrutinized if they are not like everyone else. This applies to Creole women living in America during the early twentieth century. Women during that time period are prevented from having the freedom to explore and self evaluate. As a result of that, they cannot grow as a person. This is shown in the two novels Antigone by Kate Chopin and Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. The cultural expectation of a woman s behavior in the early twentieth century prevents women from growing because they are expected to behave a certain way while being unable to express their true self. For example, logbooks in the police departments are archived because it can be easily accessed for future investigations. Judicial reports are like archives discovered because people from the past may have left these documents or artifacts for future generations to discover to conduct research. The researcher continues to discuss several issues she came across when going through these archives. Before the creation of technology, many of the discovered documents have deteriorated physically, and torn corners or margin nibble away by time can swallow words whole. The writing in the margins has often become illegible, and a single missing word can leave their meaning in suspense (Farge 56). This was an issue that occurred frequently towards the researcher because some of them were incomplete and may have possible hold the answers to the questions. Many of these documents may have been exposed to elements, such as water, fire and others, that may have increased the deterioration rate. Luckily, technology has advanced over the years to save these documents onto the computer before disappearing forever. Another issue she endured was determining what was truth from fictional. Also, figuring out what is important and useless to her research. For example, an event may have caused one person to fabricate information to gain popularity, while another document may have left out important information.
