The result that an institution receives from the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is in PDF
(Portable Document File) format file. To analyze and manipulate them manually is very tedious job
for a person. This is where text mining and file format convertors come into light to overcome this
kind of problem. Text mining has an exceptional contribution for programmers and scientists to mine
data out from textual files. Text mining overlooks the redundant textual data and only targets only on
the required data patterns. Text mining plays important role because its center of functioning is
devising patterns into necessary format or could be said that it derives a very quality of information
from text. File format conversion has always been a bridge as well as challenge to access that
particular data without particular tool. Different files have protocol set like internal and

Analysis Of Arthur Miller s Life
Since the beginning of theatre, there have been numerous playwrights who have made their attempt at
greatness. Most have failed, some have had minor success, and a slim few have succeeded. Arthur
Miller was an inventive, determined playwright who made a lasting impression on theatre in the 20th
century. He was a head strong, willful individual who conquered obstacles when they presented
themselves. Through a brief examination of Arthur Miller s personal life, career as a playwright, and
influence on theatre, it is clear to see that he was a very innovative and impactful individual whose
effects can still be seen today. Arthur Miller s life began on October 17, 1915 in Harlem, New York
when he was born to Augusta and Isidore Miller (Arthur Miller; Arthur Miller Biography). He
belonged to a middle upper class family and enjoyed the benefits of this social class as a young boy. In
the stock market crash of 1929, his life took a spin for the worse and his family lost nearly everything,
leading him to live a much different lifestyle as a teenager. However bleak his aspect on the world
could ve been after such a dramatic change, Miller didn t even slightly lose his ambition to succeed in
life, but rather gained momentum to accomplish his dreams. After graduating from high school, he
labored in a warehouse to save up money for college (Biography of Arthur Miller). The University of
Michigan became Arthur Miller s new home for the next stage of his life. He continued to

Consider SQL Good For Business
Reasons Why Remote DBA Professionals Consider SQL Good for Business
Structured Query Language, commonly referred to as SQL, is a programming language that is used to
communicate with and handle databases. In order to maximize the outputs that they get from the huge
amount of data collected, many companies and establishments employ IT professionals well versed in
SQL. SQL programs are adopted and used by companies in order to access and influence the data and
information that is maintained in their databases, as well as for generating and modifying new tables.
It may be considered as one of the simplest programming language, but that doesn t mean the power
of SQL can be anyway undermined. SQL has the ability to insert data into database tables, ... Show

MySQL, designed and distributed by Oracle, is one of the most prevalent SQL database management
systems presently available. The software is an open source version. In other words, it can be
downloaded and used for free.
Other than the factors mentioned so far, below listed are a few more advantages of SQL for a business:
Convenience SQL can be used on just about any kind of electronic gadget such as desktops, mobile
phones, tablets, and servers. It also operates in local systems and internet. Databases that use SQL can
be moved from one device to another with conveniently.
Ease As mentioned above, SQL is considered to be one of the simplest programming languages as it
comprises mainly of English statements which makes it highly convenient to learn and comprehend a
SQL query. There are certain database languages that are so complex that programmers don t even
want to try to learn them. However, SQL allows for a dynamic database language which is easy to use
and easy to learn and as per Remote DBA experts it is an important factor for any programming

The Sixties And The End Of Collapsing
In terms of the amount of political upheaval that took place, the 1960s is probably the most fascinating
decade post World War II to study historically. To understand how the country was almost at the brink
of collapsing, one must survey one of the prominent political actors during the decade: the student
movement. According to William H. Chafe in The Unfinished Journey, the student movement emerged
from the feeling that President John F. Kennedy s insistent call for the young to fulfill America s
unfulfilled promises was a mandate for action. Yet, the conclusions made about the student movement
in the 1960s are still contested today. David Steigerwald, author of The Sixties and the End to Modern
America scrutinizes the student ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While Chafe s use of the Port Huron Statement is more so a summary of the attitudes of the student
movement, Steigerwald offers a critique of the student movement s ambitions. Steigerwald does not
deny that the Port Huron Statement was bold, stating that its critiques of U.S. Cold War foreign policy
were both realistic and prescient and that the ideals presented in the statement were meant as an
antidote to the ills of bureaucratized society. Personal fulfillment was to be realized through civic
participation . However, Steigerwald argues that the deepest flaw of the student movement was that it
could encourage mere rebelliousness masquerading as radicalism, a phony radicalism that saw politics
as a vehicle for exhibitionism and self assertion rather than change . Steigerwald s critique questions
whether the student movement actually aimed to challenge the apparent status quo of the American
political landscape. Steigerwald s critique is in accordance with the larger historical critique of the
counterculture movement of the 1960s that the movement did not make the impact that it intended to
make. Chafe joins with Steigerwald on the critical

The Social Media And Digital Media
The template/sample can be found in the appendix, as well as all the results summarized by Google
Form. 20 people took the survey in a lapse time of 5 days between October 12 and October 17. The
survey suggested that half of the surveyed had a Bachelor s degree and 75% of them are single, never
married. Most of them (65%) had between 18 and 24 year old and took the survey via social media.
The other category mostly represented (20%) was between 45 and 54 year old and took the survey
sent my email. Knowing that most of the person who answered the survey was in the young
generation I will focus my analysis on them. It is interesting to get to know more about their own
perception of media. They haven t lived the transition between traditional media and digital media like
the other older generation did. They have an all new look on media but still do not trust them. Only
25% of the surveyed answer social media to the question Please choose a media outlet you think is the
most trustworthy ». The Generation Y should trusts the tools they use the most but surprisingly, for
them the trustworthiest outlets were Newspaper and radio with 30%. People mostly trust radio and
newspaper but still, 55% of them choose social media to access current news on the daily basis. The
question here is; why do people go on media they don t trust?
More the surveyed answered questions, more it was obvious that the majority was relying on social
media and new outlet to get updates on the latest news.

Resident Advisor Application Response Responses
Resident Advisor Application Responses
1. Why do you feel you would be a good fit for your preferred population?
Through my experiences at SAU thus far, I feel that I would be able to best serve the upperclassmen
population as an RA. I have been a member of the St. Ambrose Student Government Association for
the past two years, serving as Freshmen Class President and Sophomore Class President. My time on
SGA has provided me with many opportunities to serve the entire student body, Freshmen through
Seniors. In meetings, I have become confident voicing my perspectives and concerns with all
members and the executive board. Being on the planning committee for several SGA activities, such

In terms of free time, I try to be a positive influence within my friend group; setting up movie nights,
working out in the gym, going shopping, or going out to eat. I find this to be very important when
given any time of leadership responsibility.
Second, I have also learned the importance of the forgive and forget mentality. Having practice every
day, it is easy to get on each others nerves. However, it is important to realize that every day is a new
day. Before coming to a conclusion, it is crucial to listen to both sides and also take emotions into
consideration.
Lastly, I feel that it is very important to plan floor activities that provide students on the floor with
opportunities to get to know each other. Through these activities and new found relationships, I feel
that it will help the residents to be more respectful, social, and cordial with one another. Bonding
opportunities create more of a family feel within the resident s hall, making the dorm experience one
that everyone will enjoy.
3. From your perspective, what do you think are the three most important functions of a

First and foremost, I think that it is most important for a Resident Advisor to be open and able to keep
the peace within the resident s hall. Whether it be dealing with roommate difficulties, confronting

The Pros And Cons Of The Wealth Of Nations
The Wealth of Nations often considered to be merely a textbook of economics, is more of prescriptive
text that endeavours to advice legislators on the manner in which it should structure those policies and
institutions that support the practices of production and exchange. The purpose of doing so, it seems,
is to best encourage public opulence and as a result public happiness and well being.
This text, not just a product of the intellectual musings of an armchair philosopher, was born out of a
culmination of extraneous events and systems that were prevalent at the time of its conception.
Adam Smith, of Scottish origin, was fortunate enough to be born and educated at a time when the Age
of Enlightenment was its peak, thus exposing him to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Smith, however, was of the opinion that Mercantile System was deeply flawed. Firstly, as given in the
Fourth Book (3) of the Wealth of Nations, he argued that the real wealth of a nation was not in the
unconsumable riches of money, but in the consumable goods annually reproduced by the labour of the
society . (4) Secondly, the balance of trade, as observed by him, often did little to enhance the wealth
of a nation and instead served to create violent national animosity instead. He instead put forth the
idea of a balance of annual production and consumption, which if it were unfavourable would have
caused a decay of the wealth of a nation. Thirdly, Prof. Smith was a strong critic of the idea of
colonialism; stating that, To found a great empire for the sole purpose of raising up a people of
customers, may at first sight, appear a project fit only for a nation of shopkeepers. It is, however, a
project altogether unfit for a nation of shopkeepers, but extremely fit for a nation whose government is
influenced by shopkeepers. Such statesmen, and such statesmen only, are capable of fancying that they
will find some advantage in employing the blood and treasure of their fellow citizens, to found and
maintain such an empire. (5) The implication being that the idea of colonialism was of an extremely
oppressive nature, beneficial only to the colonial

The Forgotten Legacy Of The Power Of Possession
oday, the forgotten legacy of the power of possession appears evident; however, during the time of
Christ the belief in the destructive forces of this occurrence emerges as a severe issue for the general
public. Eusebius, a Roman historian, exegete and Christian polemicist, became the Bishop of various
Christian centers in Caesarea near the year 314 A.D.; notably, an exceptional Biblical scholar of his
time. Eusebius tells of the events of Jesus ridding human life from demons of every kind, so that there
were some of them now kneeling before Him and beseeching Him not to deliver them over to the
Tartarus that awaited them. Furthermore, Eusebius specifically identifies the goat god Pan as being
overthrown by Jesus during His ministry.
If you are a true Christian, the realism of the devil and its forces manifestly stand out as crucial, for
Jesus warfare against Satan endures as critical nucleus of His teachings. Principally, one of the major
realities of Satan, devil(s) ever documented persists as that of Jesus Christ s exposure of this evil
presence in the New Testament; which occurs as a key happening within Jesus ministry (Matt 8:28,
Mark 5:15, Luke 8:36). For with the appearance of Christ, a miracle erupts, challenging among other
things, humanity s sexuality, (although the majority of people remain unaware of the true mystery that
Christ came to earth to expose concerning people s misguided beliefs regarding their sexuality).
Inevitably, this explosive

It may be said; why is psychology significant in nursing care and why do we use learning theories to
assist in patient care? Well according to Walker et al (2007), in the caring profession nurses, spend
most, if not all of their working lives interacting with other people. A key part of a nurse s job is to
promote healthful behaviour. When a patient is admitted to hospital it is often their physical illness

He deciphered that dogs like humans salivate (reflex response) when they see food; it is a natural
physiological reflex response. However he also demonstrated that a signal such as using a bell
(stimulus) just before he gave the dog food would eventually lead the dog to salivate at the sound of
the bell even if there was no food present. Pavlov verified by pairing or associating another stimulus
(the bell) with food he could train the dogs to salivate. This theory could then be applied to people as
well. According to Richard et al (2007) it was found that pairing one stimulus with another stimulus
could also provoke a reflexive response in people. This is also called a stimulus response theory of
learning. Operant conditioning according to Walker et al (2007) pg 86 refers to learning that involves
changes in voluntary responses those over which we normally have conscious control. Operant
conditioning was developed largely by B.F. Skinner (1974,1989). According to Bastable (2003) pg 57
chap 3 operant conditioning focuses on the behaviour of the organism and reinforcement that occurs
after the response. A reinforcer is a stimulus or event applied after a response that strengthens the
probability that the response will be performed again. Skinner (1974) suggested that giving positive
reinforcement i.e. (reward) greatly enhances behaviour and the likelihood that a response will be
repeated in a similar circumstance. A second way to increase behaviour is by applying

How Energy Can Be Conserved, The Fiscal Value Of...
Introduction In the world that we live in today, energy is in high demand. Businesses and family
budgets require energy efficiency in order to get their money s worth. Technology is being constantly
developed to help make our energy sources more efficient. More efficient lighting, like LED light
bulbs are being produced to conserve energy, along with more efficient vehicles. Some of these
technologies are more readily implemented, and affordable than others, but efforts are still being made
to make the world a more energy efficient place. In addition to energy efficiency saving money for
businesses and households, it also helps reduce the emission of greenhouse gases that contribute to
global climate change.

Sources of greenhouse gases include: 1) Domestic gas used in homes for heating water, the stove, and
the house in general. This tends to be the most noteworthy source of emissions by individuals.³ 2)
Electricity used for running refrigerators, dryers, and televisions, and charging devices uses
approximately 4,000 units of electricity per annually.³ 3) Traveling by air is also a part of the average
person s carbon footprint; although the tendency tends to be for a person to either rarely fly, or fly
often (as in about twenty flights yearly).³ 4) Electronics like phones, iPods, and laptops use up energy,
and have to be charged often.³ 5) The food that we eat is also a component of our carbon footprint.
The fertilizers used to grow, and produce the food that we buy is the main source of greenhouse gases
in the food process; although packaging, and transporting food is also a small part of it.³ 6) The
production of the clothes that we wear has an impact. Manmade materials give off less emissions
opposed to products like cotton and wool.³ 7) Paper uses up a lot of energy when it is produced.
Recycling helps reduce the amount of energy expended in paper production.³ 8) Water and sewage
takes up energy because of the power it takes to pump water to houses and buildings, and treating

Lab on Thumb Dominance Essay
Biology 111
Laboratory #1: MBS
Title: Study of the Dominant Thumb and Handedness
Abstract: The dominance of the thumb and it s relationship to handedness was studied. 50 volunteers
were asked to clasp their hands and the thumb dominance and handedness of each subject was noted.
The results showed a connection between the handedness of a person and it s opposite thumb
dominance, though all combinations of handedness and thumb dominance were evidenced.
1. Introduction
A. Background Information
Relevant literature addresses a few issues regarding the dominance of the thumb and handedness.
Some suggest right and left hand claspers do so because of a genetic connection, while environmental
factors have also been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Summary of Data
As shown in the above table, those who were right handed with a dominant left thumb were in the
majority. They make up 74% of the total subjects, totaling 37 in number. Those who were right handed
with a dominant right thumb were the next largest group, making up 12% of the subjects, totaling 6
subjects. The next largest group was those who are left handed with a dominant left thumb, 10% of the
total group, 5 subjects. The smallest group was those who were left handed with a dominant right
thumb, only 2 subjects, which makes up 4% of the total tested. From the results above, it does not
appear that there definitely a genetic link between the handedness of a person and their thumb
dominance.
4. Discussion
A. Support of Hypothesis
The experiment did support the hypothesis that there is not a correlation between right handedness and
right thumb dominance and left handedness and left thumb dominance. Rather, in this study the
opposite hand seems to hold the dominant thumb. Of the total subjects, 78% had the opposite thumb
dominant.
B. Explanation
86% of the subjects were right handed, which given the prevalence of right handed people as opposed
to the less common left handers, this seems to be a likely result. 78% of those tested also had an
opposite thumb dominant, of which the cause is unknown.
C. Conclusion

Comparing The Snow Queen And The Hero s Journey
The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Anderson has been told for almost two hundred years. It is the
story of a little girl and a little boy who are best friends that do everything together. One day, the little
boy goes missing and the little girl must journey to find him and bring him home. The little girl,
Gerda, shows bravery, selflessness, and relentlessness throughout the tale. Through these she shows
heroism, which helps her through the journey to find the little boy, Kay. These values reveal Gerda s
cultural background, and what her family expects of her. In each transformation of the text, The Hero s

She greets them like old friends and introduces Kay to them. Throughout the whole story, Gerda
showed cultural values of a true hero. During the departure phase, she showed bravery, loyalty, and
selflessness. In the initiation phase, she exhibited kindness and relentlessness. Finally, in the return
phase Gerda revealed that she is caring and has a softer side to herself. Once she found Kay, she wept
because she had finally found her best friend. Kay was still under the influence of the mirror and did
not recognize her. This made Gerda cry harder, resulting in Kay s frozen heart to melt and the splinter
in his eye to fall out. From beginning to end, Gerda demonstrated a true heroic personality, which
helped her complete her journey. The Snow Queen has been around for almost two centuries, but no
matter how old the story becomes, people do not stop reading it. The Snow Queen has also influenced
readers since Hans Christian Anderson wrote it. Every reader will understand The Hero s Journey

Determination of an Unknown Amino Acid from Titration
Determination of An Unknown Amino Acid From Titration
Abstract
Experiment 11 used a titration curve to determine the identity of an unknown amino acid. The initial
pH of the solution was 1.96, and the pKa s found experimentally were 2.0, 4.0, and 9.85. The accepted
pKa values were found to be 2.10, 4.07, and 9.47. The molecular weight was calculated to be
176.3 while the accepted value was found to be 183.5. The identity of the unknown amino acid was
established to be glutamic acid, hydrochloride.
Introduction
Amino acids are simple monomers which are strung together to form polymers
(also called proteins). These monomers are characterized by the general structure shown in figure 1.

The trapezoidal method can be employed to find the equivalence points as shown if figure 6. The
volume of titrant between two equivalence points is helpful in the determination of the molecular

The purpose of experiment 11 is to determine the identity of an unknown amino acid by analyzing a
titration curve. The experiment should lend the idea that the following may be directly or indirectly
deduced from the curve the equivalence and half equivalence points, pKa values, the molecular weight
and the identity of the unknown amino acid.
Experimental
The pH meter was calibrated and 1.631 grams (.0089 moles) of the unknown amino acid was weighed
and placed in a 250 mL volumetric flask. About 100 mL of distilled water was added to dissolve the
solid. The flask was gently swirled and inverted to insure a complete dissolution of the solid. The
solution was diluted with distilled water to the volume mark on the flask. Then, one buret was filled
with 0.100 M HCl stock solution and another buret was filled with
0.100 M NaOH. A pipet was used to add 25.00 mL of the unknown amino acid solution to a 100 mL
beaker. The solution s initial pH was established to be

on an endless cycle of reposting. Trump also got people engaged with his clever slogan Make America
Great Again. According to Brad Parscale who served as a digital media stagiest on the Trump
campaign said that Facebook and Twitter helped us win this (2016, Kokkad). Trump was more in
touch with the people and wasn t afraid of showing who is truly is thorough his social media accounts.
[Next I d like to discuss the benefits and advantages that social media can have on politics.]
II. Main point 2: The number of benefits that social media has it truly great
A. Social media has allowed politicians to have direct contact with voters as no cost. Politicians can
tweet and retweet followers, answer questions and make the person feel special. It is free marketing. It
is much easier for campaigns across the U.S. to connect with one another. Campaigns can tailor

Frida Kahlo Exposed Her Soul on Canvas Essay examples
Frida Kahlo Exposed Her Soul on Canvas
Frida Kahlo was born in Mexico City on July 7, 1907. Though she wanted many to believe that she
was born in 1910, the year of the outbreak of the Mexican Revolution. Her father was a photographer
of Hungarian Jewish decent, and her mother was Spanish and Native American. From an early age
Frida s life would be marked by years of physical suffering. At the age of six she was stricken with
polio, this left her right leg to appear much thinner than the other, as well as leaving her with a limp.
Though she suffered dearly as a child, she was fearless and brave. She was also extremely intelligent.
In 1922 she entered the Preparatoria, the most prestigious educational institution in Mexico, which ...

would be remarried again in one short year. They both loved each other very much he was quoted
saying that Frida was the only real love of his life, though he had many torrid affairs. Frida also had
many lovers both men and women, such as Leon Trotsky and Georgia O?Keefe, but Diego was her
true lover her comrade and artistic counterpart. Most of Frida?s works depict her personal saga, her
struggle with the disabilities she suffered as a result of her accident and her turbulent marriage to
Diego, her involvement with the Communist party and the Mexican Revolution. Frida?s art was
influenced by a surge of nationalism known as Mexicandad.
This ideology would be prevalent in her paintings by the usage of native imagery, vivid colors and her
sense of self. She herself wore traditional costumes and elaborately braided her hair with ribbons,
bows, and fresh flowers to express her identification with Mexico?s indigenous culture. Frida was

Annotated Bibliography On Data Encryption Standard
1.1 Data Encryption Standard
Data Encryption standard was one of the predetermined symmetric algorithms for the encryption of
data. DES was developed in early 1970s at IBM and based on an earlier design by Horst Feistel.
DES is one of the most and significant modern symmetric encryption algorithm, for many years DES
was known as secret code making . The algorithm was developed in early 1970s, but due to some
controversies the algorithm was published in January 1977 as an algorithm to be used for the
unclassified data. The data encryption standard, as specified is a block cipher operating on the 64 bit
data block. DES also uses a key to customize the transformation, so that decryption can be only be
performed by those who know the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Key mixing: the expansion word is XORed with a round key constructed by selecting 48 bits from the
56 bits secret key, a different selection is used in each round.
Substitution: the 48 bits result is split into eight bit words which are substituted in eight parallel 6 * 4
bit S boxes. All the S boxes, are different but have the same special structure.
Permutation (P): the resulting 32 bits are reordered according to a fixed permutation before being sent
as the output.
1.3 ALGORITHM
[1] In the first step, the 64 bit plain text block is handed over to initial permutation (IP) function.
[2] The initial permutation is performed on the input plain text.
[3] The initial permutation results in two halves of permuted block: LBlock and RBlock.
[4] Each of LBlock and RBlock goes through 16 rounds of the encryption process, each with its own
key.
[5] From the 56 bit key, a different 48 bit sub key is generated using the transformation.
[6] The 48 bit is XORed with the 48 bit RBlock and the resulting output is given in the next step.
[7] Using the S box substitution procedure the 32 bit from 48 bit input.
[8] These 32 bit are permuted using P box permutation.
[9] The P box output 32 bits are XORed with the LBlock 32 bits.
[10] The result of the XORed 32 bits is become the RBlock and the old RBlock becomes the LBlock.
This process is called swapping.
[11] The RBlock

Some Boys By Patty Blount Analysis
Patty Blount, an American author, once said Some boys go too far. Some boys will break your heart,
but one can mend it . The novel, Some Boys is a story written by Patty Blount. It manifests the
importance of respect and love and the potency to stand firm for yourself. The book follows the lives
of two young high school teenagers; Grace Collier often labeled a liar, and Ian Russell, known as the
Rejuvenator and the Protector of Grace. Back then, Grace Collier was the girl that everyone would
consistently look at. With her studded and beaded jewelry, her well known combat boots, and her
eyeliner it was hard not to stare. Everything changed when Grace had gotten sexually assaulted by the
captain of the lacrosse team, Zac McMahon. Raped ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Zac and Ian are talking with each other and Zac gets frustrated at Ian when he opts to stick by Grace s
side instead of his. Then Zac expresses, I m pissed because you defended her, man! The girl who s
telling everyone I m a psycho rapist. (Blount 155). This part of the book is in Ian s perspective. When
Ian and Zac were hanging out, he learned that people around the school are calling him a rapist and
that Grace and Ian had fallen in love with each other. When the book is in Ian s perspective, it is clear
that he is endeavoring to understand both sides of the story. Ian s view is that something lousy
transpired, causing drama to compose in Grace s life, but he doesn t know who to believe at first. Ian
then decides to heedfully listen to Grace s point of view and ultimately finds her side of the story more
believable before even hearing Zac s side. Zac gets pissed at this as they are supposed to be best
friends, and he is meant to be supporting him and taking his side rather than Grace s. He saw Grace
get hurt from the conflict she is facing, so he feels that he has made the right decision, but it will
continue to bother Zac. It is clear that Ian is in love with Grace at this point. He ultimately is
endeavoring to believe her but feels that it is important to be there for his best friend. After all,
listening to his side can help in solving this issue. Ian and Zac are with each other, talking about the
fact that everyone is calling him a rapist. I ll see it from your point of view too, and maybe stop calling
you a rapist (Blount #?). Even though Ian loves Grace, he is disposed to do whatever it takes to be
there for his best friend even if he has hurt the girl he cares for. He feels he requires to listen to his
perspective too so that people understand what has happened. Since this is in Ian s view, his opinions

Video Gameplay Of Video Games
Video Gaming has played a major factor for video gamers worldwide, this brings the expertise of
video game developers to develop the next generation of video games. Video gamers(?) in Japan and
the United States share the enjoyment in playing video games. What is the history behind video
games? What are the prices of video games in Japanese? What are the prices of video games in the
United States? How are American and Japanese video games are different? There are similarities and
differences in both cultures in video games. The history behind video games all started with theis
console, invented was a rectangular brown cube with two attached controllers, and its name was
Brown Box . Ralph H. Baer was the inventor of this console, which it was released in 1967. He made
it to where it can be connected to any ordinary television set. They were six games for this console
including: Ping Pong, tennis, handball, volleyball, chase games and a light gun game. In 1975, Atari
marketed the PONG arcade machine. In the same year Magnavox released Odyssey 100 and 200.
Nintendo released its first console in Japan in 1977. In the 1980 s video games became very popular.
Many people became bored of the PONG like games and wanted something new. They made games
such as Pac man (1980), Mario Bros (1983), The Legend of Zelda (1986), Final Fantasy (1987),

Essay on High Noon
For my at home movie I watched Hang em High directed by Ted Post. It is considered a spaghetti
western that was made in America. In comparison to the film we watched in class, High Noon directed
by Fred Zinnemann. These two westerns had many similarities and differences. From differences in
how the movie was actually shot, to the similarity of how both of the main characters are loners, these
two movies connect all over on many different levels.
High Noon was the story of a very brave man, Will Kane played by Gary Cooper, which is giving up
his Sheriff position to become a homemaker with him wife. Just when they are leaving to start their
new life together, there is news that four outlaws are coming back into town to seek revenge on ...

In the movie Hang em High, Clint Eastwood plays the main character Jed Cooper. A group of men
accuse him of stealing cattle and killing one of their neighbors. When he can t prove to them his
innocence, they hang him. It just so happens that a U.S. Marshall was in the area and he saved Cooper
s life. Then the Marshall brought him to the judge to see if he is guilty. Eventually, it was discovered
that Cooper was innocent, and had bought the cattle from a criminal who killed the owner then sold
the cattle to him. Cooper was finally released, but he now wanted revenge on the men who tried to
lynch him. The judge tells Cooper to give their descriptions to one of his marshal s and they will try to
find them, but Cooper feels that it s not enough. The judge warns Cooper about taking the law into his
own hands. When he told the judge that he was a formal law man, and he knows the law, the judge
offers Cooper a job as a Marshall, and he takes the job. After accepting the job, he goes around and
tried to gather up all men that tried to hang him. Along the way he has many side adventures, and tests

Importance Of Learning A Secondary Language
I believe that learning a secondary language is necessary to get where you want to go in life. For most
people that have jobs there is always going to be a customer or another co worker that speaks a
different language than you. You should learn a different language for traveling purposes so if you
want to go to a different country you will know the main language in that country. Learning a different
language is good to know to make friends living in other places that know a different language than
you. Knowing a secondary language is a graduation requirement and can even help you improve your
test scores.
The first reason you should learn different languages other than your first language is because, you
may need to know it for your job. When you get a job there could be customers that may be speaking
a different language and you will not know how to help them. There could be a person that is deaf and
you will not be able to help them find what they are looking for and help them to your best ability.
Don t you want to be the person that is able to help people speaking a different language? You do not
want to end up in the situation where you need to look for a co working to help what the customer is
trying to say to you or ask of you. You should learn another language to open up a world of job
opportunities.
For example, when I get my future job as a large animal vet my main secondary languages that I will
need to know are spanish and especially since we live in the

A Critique of Today s Process of Ijtihad
A Critique of Today s Process of Ijtihad
Recent achievements in Islamic banking do not indicate an advance in the jurists interpretation of riba.
Writings on riba have been extensively concerned with the expositions of riba, but with disquisitions
about riba. Thought about riba, and any other Qur anic penetrative codes, must be a story of
movements in outlook and ever changing ideas, and developments taking place in contemporary social
sciences. Its province is destined by God, may he be exalted, in a way to be determined and re
determined in the course of time by drawing insights from different branches of human science. The
subject of riba, and other divine codes in Qur an regarding dealings and transactions is such that no
cohesive delineation of the scope can be regarded as final.
Some of needless difficulties that have arisen in a proper interpretation of riba are of linguistic origin.
The jurist s business is with words. Words are not only tools of thought, but also control it.
Accordingly, to think profitably about riba will be assisted by a sharpened awareness of possibilities
of language, not only to lead thought but also to mislead it. This paves the ground on which the
Islamic jurists adherence to their predecessors grasp of riba is questioned. This should not be deemed
a denial of the rich legacy handed down from the predecessors. A modern society cannot but build
upon the foundations laid in the past.
However, this must be carried out with due

The Dramatic Impact of Act 1 Scene 3 in Shakespeare s Othello and Its Importance to the Whole Play
Othello is a tragic play by Shakespeare, set in Venice during the Elizabethan time. It portrays the
growth of unjustified jealousy in the noble protagonist, Othello, a Moor serving as a general in the
Venetian army. The innocent object of his jealousy is his wife, Desdemona. In this domestic tragedy,
Othello s evil lieutenant Iago draws him into mistaken jealousy in order to ruin him. Othello is
destroyed partly through his gullibility and willingness to trust Iago and partly through the
manipulations of this villain, who clearly enjoys the exercise of evildoing just as he hates the spectacle

The main action that occurs at the beginning of this scene is the meeting between the Duke and the
senators of Venice, in the council chambers. Council meetings are usually held during the day; but the
fact that it is night time now, makes the audience think that the topic of this meeting is so important
that the council members cannot wait till it is morning to discuss it. This strategy used by Shakespeare
motivates the audience to focus on the scene.
The purpose of this meeting is to decide the future of one of the Venetian colonies, Cyprus. Cyprus is
a trading island, where merchants from all over the world come to trade and therefore Cyprus has
become the target of the Turkish fleet to conquer, as Turkey has an interest in Cyprus s wealth in this
meeting. It is to be decided what the Venetian s will do to protect their colony from the imminent
attack of the Turkish fleet. The Turks are non Christians and therefore considered to be malevolent
during the era, and anybody who s not white and a Christian, were always associated with evil.
Shakespeare subtly introduces the theme of racial discrimination on the grounds of religiously.

The Works of Nathaniel Hawthorne
Nathaniel Hawthorne was an American novelist and short story writer who was born in Salem,
Massachusetts July fourth 1804. When Hawthorne was a young man he served as the editor of the
American Magazine of Useful and Entertaining Knowledge. That job introduced him into the world of
writing and at that point he decided what he wanted to do until the day he died. I do not want to be a
doctor and live by men s diseases, nor a minister to live by their sins, nor a lawyer and live by their
quarrels. So, I don t see that there is anything left for me to be but an author. Hawthorne was found too
dense, too gloomy, and to complex. To overcome these problem people would attempt to view
Hawthorne as a riddler and wry joke who always challenged himself and all authorities. Hawthorne
published several diminutive stories in various publications which he collected in 1873 as Twice Told
Tales. The 1900 s American author Nathaniel Hawthorne s writings were influenced by his guilt
because of his non repentant grandfathers involvement in the Salem witch trials. Hawthorne boarded
with a poet named Thomas Green Fessenden on Hancock Street in Beacon Hill Boston. After his
strategic move to join with this poet he started to get into the flow of producing good books people
wanted to read. When readers started to understand Hawthorne s use of Dante, Spencer, and the Bible
this helped them to better understand Hawthornes imagination.
Hawthorne married Sophia Peabody in 1836

An Ideal Weight Of The Body Mass Index
There are many people struggling to keep their weight ideal. An ideal weight according to the medical
definition is the weight that provides an individual with lowest health risks (Wicks, 2016). There are
many different ways to figure out if an individual is considered to have ideal weight; one of which is
by measuring the body mass index, also known as BMI (Wicks, 2016). BMI can be measured by
weight in kilogram divided by height in meters squared. Ideal weight is above 18.5 and below 24.5,
anything below 18.5 is consider underweight and above 24.5 is considered overweight (Wicks, 2016).
Although BMI can be easily calculated, it does have some concerns regarding the fact that it does not
take into consideration body composition and distribution (Wicks, 2016). To reach their ideal healthy
weight some individuals turn to changing their diet while others seem to turn to exercising. Those who
turn to changing their diet take kilocalories into consideration. Kilocalories is the unit used for
measurement of energy, and to determine one s weight, energy balance equation is used; this equation
is energy input minus energy output equals either positive or negative energy (Wicks, 2016). People
who are overweight consider these kilocalories in everything they eat and drink. Although there is
more than one way to achieve a healthy weight, exercising seems to be more beneficial for various
reasons. Dieting consists of changing and considering the nutrition value in every food item

Voting Day Analysis
As mentioned on previous pages, the idea of having a federal holiday for voting is not a new idea. As
expressed in previous pages, in the recent years, the idea has become popular with Bernie s Bill, The
Democracy Day Act. However, in addition there are a handful of organizations and movements that
are also trying to make voting day become a holiday. Surprisingly, Rainn Wilson created a video
portraying how antiquated the laws surrounding voting day are. The video explains why America
votes on a Tuesday and how irrelevant it is to still practice voting on that day. Wilson also poked fun
at the notorious voter identification laws which also have been proven to be fatuous. Wilson s video
helped provide a connection between how tedious and

ABSTRACT The result that an institution receives from the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is in PDF (Portable Document File) format file. To analyze and manipulate them manually is very tedious job for a person. This is where text mining and file format convertors come into light to overcome this kind of problem. Text mining has an exceptional contribution for programmers and scientists to mine data out from textual files. Text mining overlooks the redundant textual data and only targets only on the required data patterns. Text mining plays important role because its center of functioning is devising patterns into necessary format or could be said that it derives a very quality of information from text. File format conversion has always been a bridge as well as challenge to access that particular data without particular tool. Different files have protocol set like internal and ... • 3. Analysis Of Arthur Miller s Life Since the beginning of theatre, there have been numerous playwrights who have made their attempt at greatness. Most have failed, some have had minor success, and a slim few have succeeded. Arthur Miller was an inventive, determined playwright who made a lasting impression on theatre in the 20th century. He was a head strong, willful individual who conquered obstacles when they presented themselves. Through a brief examination of Arthur Miller s personal life, career as a playwright, and influence on theatre, it is clear to see that he was a very innovative and impactful individual whose effects can still be seen today. Arthur Miller s life began on October 17, 1915 in Harlem, New York when he was born to Augusta and Isidore Miller (Arthur Miller; Arthur Miller Biography). He belonged to a middle upper class family and enjoyed the benefits of this social class as a young boy. In the stock market crash of 1929, his life took a spin for the worse and his family lost nearly everything, leading him to live a much different lifestyle as a teenager. However bleak his aspect on the world could ve been after such a dramatic change, Miller didn t even slightly lose his ambition to succeed in life, but rather gained momentum to accomplish his dreams. After graduating from high school, he labored in a warehouse to save up money for college (Biography of Arthur Miller). The University of Michigan became Arthur Miller s new home for the next stage of his life. He continued to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Sixties And The End Of Collapsing In terms of the amount of political upheaval that took place, the 1960s is probably the most fascinating decade post World War II to study historically. To understand how the country was almost at the brink of collapsing, one must survey one of the prominent political actors during the decade: the student movement. According to William H. Chafe in The Unfinished Journey, the student movement emerged from the feeling that President John F. Kennedy s insistent call for the young to fulfill America s unfulfilled promises was a mandate for action. Yet, the conclusions made about the student movement in the 1960s are still contested today. David Steigerwald, author of The Sixties and the End to Modern America scrutinizes the student ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While Chafe s use of the Port Huron Statement is more so a summary of the attitudes of the student movement, Steigerwald offers a critique of the student movement s ambitions. Steigerwald does not deny that the Port Huron Statement was bold, stating that its critiques of U.S. Cold War foreign policy were both realistic and prescient and that the ideals presented in the statement were meant as an antidote to the ills of bureaucratized society. Personal fulfillment was to be realized through civic participation . However, Steigerwald argues that the deepest flaw of the student movement was that it could encourage mere rebelliousness masquerading as radicalism, a phony radicalism that saw politics as a vehicle for exhibitionism and self assertion rather than change . Steigerwald s critique questions whether the student movement actually aimed to challenge the apparent status quo of the American political landscape. Steigerwald s critique is in accordance with the larger historical critique of the counterculture movement of the 1960s that the movement did not make the impact that it intended to make. Chafe joins with Steigerwald on the critical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They haven t lived the transition between traditional media and digital media like the other older generation did. They have an all new look on media but still do not trust them. Only 25% of the surveyed answer social media to the question Please choose a media outlet you think is the most trustworthy ». The Generation Y should trusts the tools they use the most but surprisingly, for them the trustworthiest outlets were Newspaper and radio with 30%. People mostly trust radio and newspaper but still, 55% of them choose social media to access current news on the daily basis. The question here is; why do people go on media they don t trust? My time on SGA has provided me with many opportunities to serve the entire student body, Freshmen through Seniors. Having practice every day, it is easy to get on each others nerves. However, it is important to realize that every day is a new day. Before coming to a conclusion, it is crucial to listen to both sides and also take emotions into consideration. Lastly, I feel that it is very important to plan floor activities that provide students on the floor with opportunities to get to know each other. Through these activities and new found relationships, I feel that it will help the residents to be more respectful, social, and cordial with one another. Bonding opportunities create more of a family feel within the resident s hall, making the dorm experience one that everyone will enjoy. 3. The Pros And Cons Of The Wealth Of Nations The Wealth of Nations often considered to be merely a textbook of economics, is more of prescriptive text that endeavours to advice legislators on the manner in which it should structure those policies and institutions that support the practices of production and exchange. The purpose of doing so, it seems, is to best encourage public opulence and as a result public happiness and well being. This text, not just a product of the intellectual musings of an armchair philosopher, was born out of a culmination of extraneous events and systems that were prevalent at the time of its conception. Adam Smith, of Scottish origin, was fortunate enough to be born and educated at a time when the Age of Enlightenment was its peak, thus exposing him to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Smith, however, was of the opinion that Mercantile System was deeply flawed. Firstly, as given in the Fourth Book (3) of the Wealth of Nations, he argued that the real wealth of a nation was not in the unconsumable riches of money, but in the consumable goods annually reproduced by the labour of the society . (4) Secondly, the balance of trade, as observed by him, often did little to enhance the wealth of a nation and instead served to create violent national animosity instead. He instead put forth the idea of a balance of annual production and consumption, which if it were unfavourable would have caused a decay of the wealth of a nation. Thirdly, Prof. Smith was a strong critic of the idea of colonialism; stating that, To found a great empire for the sole purpose of raising up a people of customers, may at first sight, appear a project fit only for a nation of shopkeepers. It is, however, a project altogether unfit for a nation of shopkeepers, but extremely fit for a nation whose government is influenced by shopkeepers. Such statesmen, and such statesmen only, are capable of fancying that they will find some advantage in employing the blood and treasure of their fellow citizens, to found and maintain such an empire. • 9. The Forgotten Legacy Of The Power Of Possession oday, the forgotten legacy of the power of possession appears evident; however, during the time of Christ the belief in the destructive forces of this occurrence emerges as a severe issue for the general public. Eusebius, a Roman historian, exegete and Christian polemicist, became the Bishop of various Christian centers in Caesarea near the year 314 A.D.; notably, an exceptional Biblical scholar of his time. Eusebius tells of the events of Jesus ridding human life from demons of every kind, so that there were some of them now kneeling before Him and beseeching Him not to deliver them over to the Tartarus that awaited them. Furthermore, Eusebius specifically identifies the goat god Pan as being overthrown by Jesus during His ministry. If you are a true Christian, the realism of the devil and its forces manifestly stand out as crucial, for Jesus warfare against Satan endures as critical nucleus of His teachings. Principally, one of the major realities of Satan, devil(s) ever documented persists as that of Jesus Christ s exposure of this evil presence in the New Testament; which occurs as a key happening within Jesus ministry (Matt 8:28, Mark 5:15, Luke 8:36). For with the appearance of Christ, a miracle erupts, challenging among other things, humanity s sexuality, (although the majority of people remain unaware of the true mystery that Christ came to earth to expose concerning people s misguided beliefs regarding their sexuality). It may be said; why is psychology significant in nursing care and why do we use learning theories to assist in patient care? Well according to Walker et al (2007), in the caring profession nurses, spend most, if not all of their working lives interacting with other people. He deciphered that dogs like humans salivate (reflex response) when they see food; it is a natural physiological reflex response. However he also demonstrated that a signal such as using a bell (stimulus) just before he gave the dog food would eventually lead the dog to salivate at the sound of the bell even if there was no food present. Pavlov verified by pairing or associating another stimulus (the bell) with food he could train the dogs to salivate. This theory could then be applied to people as well. According to Richard et al (2007) it was found that pairing one stimulus with another stimulus could also provoke a reflexive response in people. This is also called a stimulus response theory of learning. Operant conditioning according to Walker et al (2007) pg 86 refers to learning that involves changes in voluntary responses those over which we normally have conscious control. Operant conditioning was developed largely by B.F. Skinner (1974,1989). According to Bastable (2003) pg 57 chap 3 operant conditioning focuses on the behaviour of the organism and reinforcement that occurs after the response. A reinforcer is a stimulus or event applied after a response that strengthens the probability that the response will be performed again. Skinner (1974) suggested that giving positive reinforcement i.e. (reward) greatly enhances behaviour and the likelihood that a response will be repeated in a similar circumstance. Businesses and family budgets require energy efficiency in order to get their money s worth. Technology is being constantly developed to help make our energy sources more efficient. More efficient lighting, like LED light bulbs are being produced to conserve energy, along with more efficient vehicles. Some of these technologies are more readily implemented, and affordable than others, but efforts are still being made to make the world a more energy efficient place. The results showed a connection between the handedness of a person and it s opposite thumb dominance, though all combinations of handedness and thumb dominance were evidenced. 1. Introduction A. Summary of Data As shown in the above table, those who were right handed with a dominant left thumb were in the majority. They make up 74% of the total subjects, totaling 37 in number. Those who were right handed with a dominant right thumb were the next largest group, making up 12% of the subjects, totaling 6 subjects. The next largest group was those who are left handed with a dominant left thumb, 10% of the total group, 5 subjects. The smallest group was those who were left handed with a dominant right thumb, only 2 subjects, which makes up 4% of the total tested. From the results above, it does not appear that there definitely a genetic link between the handedness of a person and their thumb dominance. 4. Discussion A. Support of Hypothesis The experiment did support the hypothesis that there is not a correlation between right handedness and right thumb dominance and left handedness and left thumb dominance. Permutation (P): the resulting 32 bits are reordered according to a fixed permutation before being sent as the output. 1.3 ALGORITHM [1] In the first step, the 64 bit plain text block is handed over to initial permutation (IP) function. [2] The initial permutation is performed on the input plain text. [3] The initial permutation results in two halves of permuted block: LBlock and RBlock. [4] Each of LBlock and RBlock goes through 16 rounds of the encryption process, each with its own key. [5] From the 56 bit key, a different 48 bit sub key is generated using the transformation. Writings on riba have been extensively concerned with the expositions of riba, but with disquisitions about riba. Thought about riba, and any other Qur anic penetrative codes, must be a story of movements in outlook and ever changing ideas, and developments taking place in contemporary social sciences. Its province is destined by God, may he be exalted, in a way to be determined and re determined in the course of time by drawing insights from different branches of human science. The subject of riba, and other divine codes in Qur an regarding dealings and transactions is such that no cohesive delineation of the scope can be regarded as final. Some of needless difficulties that have arisen in a proper interpretation of riba are of linguistic origin. The jurist s business is with words. Words are not only tools of thought, but also control it. Accordingly, to think profitably about riba will be assisted by a sharpened awareness of possibilities of language, not only to lead thought but also to mislead it. This paves the ground on which the Islamic jurists adherence to their predecessors grasp of riba is questioned. This should not be deemed a denial of the rich legacy handed down from the predecessors. A modern society cannot but build upon the foundations laid in the past. An ideal weight according to the medical definition is the weight that provides an individual with lowest health risks (Wicks, 2016). There are many different ways to figure out if an individual is considered to have ideal weight; one of which is by measuring the body mass index, also known as BMI (Wicks, 2016). BMI can be measured by weight in kilogram divided by height in meters squared. Ideal weight is above 18.5 and below 24.5, anything below 18.5 is consider underweight and above 24.5 is considered overweight (Wicks, 2016). Although BMI can be easily calculated, it does have some concerns regarding the fact that it does not take into consideration body composition and distribution (Wicks, 2016). To reach their ideal healthy weight some individuals turn to changing their diet while others seem to turn to exercising. Those who turn to changing their diet take kilocalories into consideration. Kilocalories is the unit used for measurement of energy, and to determine one s weight, energy balance equation is used; this equation is energy input minus energy output equals either positive or negative energy (Wicks, 2016).
