The paper presents a new dual-mode MPEG steganography scheme aimed at reducing detectable distortion during the data hiding process in video files. It introduces a bit embedding method that alters the least significant bits of pixels while considering their significant bits and the number of bits in the cover media, which enhances security and suitability for mobile devices. The proposed scheme is analyzed for its performance in terms of security, capacity, and detectable distortion, making it an effective solution for information hiding in multimedia content.
