Effective Internet Strategy For Your Nonprofit4Good.org
This webinar shows how any nonprofit can develop and execute an Internet strategy to further its mission. We’ll examine how nonprofits are using the Internet, how they’d like to be using the Internet, and how they should be using the Internet (but may be unaware of) – and how to bridge that significant gap easily and quickly. You’ll learn how to drive more traffic to and fundraising through your site. We’ll give specific suggestions on how you can improve your website so it will offer lots for your website visitors to SEE and lots for them to DO.

Key figures in charity communications have teamed up to produce CharityComms 2020, a unique and intriguing snapshot of the most significant communications trends of the coming decade.
Charities represented in the initiative include Amnesty International, Macmillan Cancer Support, UNICEF, Friends of the Earth, The Scout Association, and many more.
Participants were invited to write down the five trends they see as the most significant in the coming decade. These points are accompanied by an image that reflects their vision, giving a very personal view of what each contributor thinks lies ahead.
CharityComms 2020 is a joint initiative produced by CharityComms, the professional body for charity communicators, and Bright One, the volunteer-run communications agency for the third sector, linking comms professionals with third sector organisations.
“With increasingly rapid changes to the way we communicate, plus upheavals in politics, environment and the economic situation, third sector organisations need to be constantly looking ahead,” said Vicky Browning, director of CharityComms. “We hope CharityComms 2020 will provide ideas and inspiration to enable charities to tackle the challenges of the coming decade with confidence.”
Ben Matthews, founder of Bright One said: “The combined vision of so many influential thinkers in the charity sector has produced a unique insight into the future of communications. CharityComms 2020 is an open resource and we would welcome additional contributions from anyone in the sector who would like to add their views to those already gathered.”
Communicators operating within the charity sector are invited to add their own five trends and an accompanying image by sending them to Ben Matthews at ben@brightone.org.uk. CharityComms 2020 will be updated periodically as further submissions are received.

Several organizations have successfully increased their event revenues by giving tools their participants to reach out to donors via social media. This session will review statistics and summary recommendations from a research project jointly developed by Blackbaud and Charity Dynamics to understand how social networking tools from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube can extend Friends Asking Friends and raise more money for your fundraising events.

100+ thinkers and planners within MSLGROUP share and discuss inspiring projects on social data, crowdsourcing, storytelling and citizenship on the MSLGROUP Insights Network.
Every week, we pick up one project and do a deep dive into conversations around it -- on the MSLGROUP Insights Network itself but also on the broader social web -- to distill insights and foresights. We share these insights with you on our People’s Insights blog and compile the best insights from the network and the blog in the People’s Insights Quarterly Magazine, as a showcase of our capabilities.
We have further synthesized the insights to provide foresights for business leaders and changemakers — in the ten-part People’s Insights annual report titled Now & Next: Ten Frontiers for the Future of Engagement, now available as a Kindle eBook.

DISSERTATION on NEW DRUG DISCOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT STAGES OF DRUG DISCOVERYNEHA GUPTA
The process of drug discovery and development is a complex and multi-step endeavor aimed at bringing new pharmaceutical drugs to market. It begins with identifying and validating a biological target, such as a protein, gene, or RNA, that is associated with a disease. This step involves understanding the target's role in the disease and confirming that modulating it can have therapeutic effects. The next stage, hit identification, employs high-throughput screening (HTS) and other methods to find compounds that interact with the target. Computational techniques may also be used to identify potential hits from large compound libraries.
Following hit identification, the hits are optimized to improve their efficacy, selectivity, and pharmacokinetic properties, resulting in lead compounds. These leads undergo further refinement to enhance their potency, reduce toxicity, and improve drug-like characteristics, creating drug candidates suitable for preclinical testing. In the preclinical development phase, drug candidates are tested in vitro (in cell cultures) and in vivo (in animal models) to evaluate their safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics. Toxicology studies are conducted to assess potential risks.
Before clinical trials can begin, an Investigational New Drug (IND) application must be submitted to regulatory authorities. This application includes data from preclinical studies and plans for clinical trials. Clinical development involves human trials in three phases: Phase I tests the drug's safety and dosage in a small group of healthy volunteers, Phase II assesses the drug's efficacy and side effects in a larger group of patients with the target disease, and Phase III confirms the drug's efficacy and monitors adverse reactions in a large population, often compared to existing treatments.
After successful clinical trials, a New Drug Application (NDA) is submitted to regulatory authorities for approval, including all data from preclinical and clinical studies, as well as proposed labeling and manufacturing information. Regulatory authorities then review the NDA to ensure the drug is safe, effective, and of high quality, potentially requiring additional studies. Finally, after a drug is approved and marketed, it undergoes post-marketing surveillance, which includes continuous monitoring for long-term safety and effectiveness, pharmacovigilance, and reporting of any adverse effects.

ABDOMINAL TRAUMA in pediatrics part one.drhasanrajab
Abdominal trauma in pediatrics refers to injuries or damage to the abdominal organs in children. It can occur due to various causes such as falls, motor vehicle accidents, sports-related injuries, and physical abuse. Children are more vulnerable to abdominal trauma due to their unique anatomical and physiological characteristics. Signs and symptoms include abdominal pain, tenderness, distension, vomiting, and signs of shock. Diagnosis involves physical examination, imaging studies, and laboratory tests. Management depends on the severity and may involve conservative treatment or surgical intervention. Prevention is crucial in reducing the incidence of abdominal trauma in children.

10. Idea:
Create A Crowdfunding Platform Exclusively For
Comprehensive Cancer Centers:
• Harness power Internet to support cancer research:
– Donations go directly to research donors care about.
– Small thank you gifts help donors feel involved (similar to
KickStarter “perks”).
– Donors feel empowered by participation.
12/10/2012 10
11. • How does Cure Cancer Starter Work?
– Each Cancer Center has significant area within the
platform where:
• Doctors create “campaigns” sharing research with
potential supporters (we will help create campaigns
at first).
• Supporters follow Cancer Centers, Researchers and
Research.
• Supporters earn social capital, badges and other
recognition for support.

14. Funding: Story of Cancer Trust
• Martin’s estate creates a million dollar Duncan Smith &
Elizabeth Martin Story of Cancer Trust.
• Trust to fund new ways to use technology to help cancer
patients, doctors, researchers and administrators.
• All costs associated with developing, implementing and
maintaining Cure Cancer Starter covered by trust.
• Jon Jordan, CEO Atlantic BT will help create Cure Cancer
Starter and manage digital assets going forward.
• A board will be established.
12/10/2012 14
15. • Benefits
– New “crowdfunding” source of research
revenue.
– Costs are low (time to create campaigns
only no cash ever due to trust).
– Helps Cancer Centers compete for Google
listings, traffic and donations they bring (see
chart on next page).
