Tell Tale Heart Comparison
The Tell Tale Heart , by Edgar Allan Poe, is a literary masterpiece. It is written from the unique
perspective of a madman who is out to kill an old man because of his Evil Eye . The man
accomplishes this but is overcome with guilt in the form of a beating heart for he loved the man. The
madman gives himself up to the police when he can t bear to hear the heart any longer. The original
version of The Tell Tale Heart is far superior to the version written by me in a different perspective.
The phrase The original is always better than the sequel stands true in the case of The Tell Tale Heart .
It is better, without even saying anything about its details, just because of Edgar Allan Poe s unique
writing style. His writing style goes

In the vietnam war they used heavy duty equipment like tank. M48 Patton medium tank, M551

Relationship Between The English And The Native Americans
Shayne Chen Mrs. Allen OCO AP US History 27 August 2015 The War of the Change The
relationship between the English and the Native Americans in 1600 to 1700 is one of the most
fluctuating and the most profound relationships in American history. On the one side of the picture,
the harmony between Wampanoag and Puritans even inspires them to celebrate first Thanksgiving ;
while, by contrast, the conflicts between the Pequots and the English urge them to antagonize each
other, and even wage a war. In addition, the mystery of why the European settlers, including English,
become the dominant power in American world, instead of the indigenous people, or Indians, can be
solved from the examination of the relationship. In a variety of ways, the relationship drastically alters
how people think about and relate to the aborigines. Politically, the relationship changes to establish
the supremacy of the English; the English intends to obtain the land and rules over it. Socially, the
relationship changes to present the majority of the English settlers; the dominating population is
mostly the English settlers. Economically, the relationship changes to obtain the benefit of the English
settlers; they gain profit from the massive resource in America. Therefore, the relationship does, in
fact, change to foreshadow the discordance of the two groups of people. Firstly, the relationship
changes in the politics in many ways. To begin with, the European settlers, the English, crave so much

Women Of Color In The Color Purple
The novel, The Color Purple, portrays a story about two sisters who communicate through various
letters about their life while they are separated. In the end, they join together through their love and
are finally reunited after thirty years. With the morals of race, gender, and life, the rating of this novel
is excellent. As an African American woman in the Pre civil rights time, Celie did not feel welcome or

Teachings and instructions like these from his father sculpted Harpo s abusive attitude towards Sofia.
After Harpo tried to abuse Sofia from listening to Celie s advice, Sofia confronts Celie and asks her

The Negative Impact of Social Networking Sites on People
Social Networking Sites People have been impacted by social networking sites. Social networking
sites have a negative influence on our generation because of bullying, predation, and an effect on our
education. With kids interacting freely they can come across predation. Furthermore, some predators
have an objective of enticing young people into sending inappropriate webcam photos of themselves
or to engage in sexually explicit conversations (Sexton and English 2). Kids are the easiest to
manipulate and to take control of. Also, critics of social networking sites claim that it contributes to
predatory or stalking behavior and can used to invade privacy (Belanger and Finley 1). Parents should
be going through their children s profile to make sure who they are talking to. Clearly, with kids
sending private information about themselves they can be blackmailed by the receiver into mental and
physical abuse. Our generation is mostly being affected by cyberbullying. Additionally, anonymity
online can cause people to engage in cyberbullying or other anti social behavior because of limited
fear of being caught or identified (Sexton and English 2). With the idea of not getting caught, people
think it s funny to cyberbully. In addition to, social networking websites are virtual communities that
encourage and foster interaction among members of a group by allowing them to post personal
information, communicate with other users and connect their profiles to other profiles

Propaganda In Political Candidates
Political candidates use different techniques in their campaigns, known as propaganda, to win against
other competing candidates. Their main purpose is to gain more votes than their political opponents.
What kind of propaganda campaign should we expect from a reliable candidate? In order for the
propaganda to be successful, the propaganda needs to be informative, effective, and ethical. Three of
the techniques that embrace these three principles are endorsements, plain folks, and coat tailing.
Endorsements allow people to get associated with somebody who has similar beliefs as them.

Candidates have mentioned many different actions they have done that a normal person would do
daily. Ordinary people tend to vote for candidates who are similar to them because that candidate
understands their situation better than the other candidate. Ordinary people tend to vote for candidates
who are similar to them because that candidate informs them that they understand their situation better
than the other candidate. This affects many of the everyday people s votes, and is ethical because it is
a friendly of reminding the citizens that they are ordinary people as well. General Dwight Eisenhower
appealed to plain folks by talking about lowering the high cost of living (Document C). Coat tailing
highlights positive ideas of a candidate that have been apart of popular events. Candidates can
associate themselves with other popular politicians to have an advantage over the other candidate.

Johnny Cash Meaning
An Ending to Johnny Cash s Life and Career Johnny Cash, The Man in Black was a legendary singer
and songwriter of country, rock, blues, folk, and gospel. He was a deeply religious man, who loved
Jesus and the Bible (Tomlinson). His musical career stretched roughly from 1954 to his death in 2003.
Throughout his life he faced many of his inner demons and hardships with his music, and the word of
god. One of his final songs recorded in 2002 The Man Comes Around is perhaps his greatest song and
speaks about his beliefs and what he thinks the near future holds. This song encompasses the Book of
Revelations, the coming of judgment day, some of his personal influences and experiences, and his
struggle to follow the path of the righteous man. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

understand the meaning of this dream and almost did not find anything. He claimed that he found the
meaning in the Book of Job, but no one has been able to find it. Biblically, whirlwinds are said to be a
large and destructive force that conquer the wicked. Thorns are usually associated with evil and
wickedness. (Williams) This dream may indicate that Johnny felt as though he hadn t lived his life in a
good manner. Throughout his life, Johnny had always felt responsible for his brother s death. The
tragic accident fueled him to create the somewhat dark and mysterious music that almost everyone can

The Illiad by Homer
The first person in The Iliad that can be considered god like is Trojan prince Hector. He is also a
commander on the Trojan side, and he truly the greatest Trojan warrior. The character of this Trojan
hero is dynamic and changes throughout the book. At the beginning of the book he acts like a great
warrior should. He is the most brave out of all the Trojans. Hector leads his army and never fails. In
the later part of the book we see Hector as a brave warrior but we are also introduced to his other side,
his fear of death. Although he, like all of the other warriors in the Ancient times, knows that through
the battle he can earn his eternal glory, he cares more about his family and he knows that if the Trojan
army fails, the Greeks will kill his son and take his wife as a slave girl.
We first meet Hector when he is already on the battlefield and he is encouraging his brother Paris after
he challenged great Greek warrior, Menelaus. Hector shows that he is an honorable man, and that
fleeing and not fighting is not a way of a real Trojan hero. Paris brother tells him ...Would to god you

that he should act like a prince, and he should be more honorable because he is the reason of the whole

The Effects Of Domestic Violence On Children Essay
Domestic violence is a crime of either passion or violence which should never be tolerated by
anybody if at all the society is to be made safe enough for people to live in. Domestic violence can be
defined as any threatening, abusive, or violent behavior in the home either between adult children and
other adult family members (Gibbons, 2011). It can also be used by one intimate partner to establish
power and control over the other partner through fear and intimidation. Domestic violence can happen
anywhere to anyone of any race, religion, culture, or economic status. It can occur in any relationship,
including heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender and also within extended families
(Women s Aid 2010). It affects both partners, their children, other family members, friends, and
colleagues. Although emotional abuse in a relationship can happen equally regardless of gender, the
more threatening and dangerous forms of domestic violence are usually committed by a man against a
woman (Patriarchal Roots, n.d). Often the aggressor in a violent relationship feels a high level of
ownership over the other partner and the children which too often results in injury or death if this
person tries to end the relationship or report the violence. Unfortunately, children are not left out and
many times they fall victims of abuse or sexual assault (Sexual violence against women, n.d). This can
be very traumatizing to the children and they might grow up in fear of being abusers

Bring Back Flogging By Jeff Jacoby
An Analysis for Bring Back Flogging
In the essay written by Jeff Jacoby in Bring back Flogging The article is about how our prisons are
over populated with people that are in there because of the none violence crime, which make the
inmates to have higher chance of getting rape, beaten, or murder rather than getting whipped and
embarrassment in public, that could help them to make better choice in the future and also teaches the
public to behave the way that is acceptable in the society. Plus the cost that is associated with these
inmates to keep them in prison that cost the tax payers millions of dollars every year.

What Gatchel says makes a lot of sense, that states being under budget for the prisons due to the over
population and since the income of a prison comes from tax payers, there is only so much that jails
can take to take care of the inmates. What he is suggesting is why not going back to the old school
ways of dealing with nonviolent crime, which costs a lot less than $30,000 a year to just whippet
someone.
I come from a country that they still handle small criminals the old ways, and big time criminals are
the only people that end up in jail, therefore when it comes to budgeting at the beginning of the year,
the country has more money to invest towards the people, rather than the criminals that are part of the
noncontributing part of the society.
The opposing issue that I can think of would be that some people might say that it is a cruel way to
treat someone when you degrade them in public, but what they don t realize is that when people

At the end of this first stage most of industries still remained state owned. The second stage happened
in the late 80´s and the early 90´s, Xiaoping continued policies beyond the initial reforms. The

state enterprises becoming unviable started to happen. Internally, the government power was

Endocrine System And Non-Steroid Hormones
Then Endocrine System
The endocrine system consists of a variety of glands and clusters of hormone secreting cells in various
organs throughout the body. These glands produce chemicals called hormones, which are secreted
directly into the bloodstream. They determine a number of things, including when you re hungry, your
weight, how you handle stress, and even how well you sleep. The body produces many different
hormones, which can either be classified as steroid or non steroid. Steroid hormones are synthesized
from cholesterol, including male and female sex hormones, as well as aldosterone. Non steroid

The Effect Of Ph And Temperature On Enzyme
Introduction
When examining the effect of pH or temperature on enzyme function it is important to consider the
type of enzyme being examined. While there may be an apparent effect of pH and temperature on all
enzymatic function, the extent of the effect is dependent on the type of enzyme being examined. The
current study is focused on the effect of temperature and pH on catechol oxidase; an enzyme that
oxidises catechol.
The examination of enzymatic activity under the constraints of variable temperature and pH levels are
important in order to understand how metabolic processes fluctuate with variable environmental
conditions (Freese et al., 2012). For our purposes, enzyme activity is defined as the amount of time a
substrate is catalyzed by an enzyme, and is dependent on temperature and pH levels (Tijskens et al.,
2001).
While there is variability in the effect of environmental conditions on enzyme activity, studies tend to
show that enzyme activity is very low and sometimes inactive with lower pH values with all enzymes
(Da Silva et al., 2011) and that pH and temperature levels outside of the normative range tend to have
a negative effect on all types of enzymes (De Angelis et al., 2010). For example, there are particular
enzymes that are more active in lower thermal temperatures as compared to enzymes that are more
commonly found in warm bodied organisms (Freese et al., 2012). This suggests that the variability in
enzymatic activity is partly due to the natural environment

Essay about How the Downfall of RBS Could Have Been Prevented
1. What is the core idea behind agency theory?
2. Can you use agency theory to analyse:
a. the rise and downfall of RBS;
b. the mortgage debt crisis more generally?
3. Who is/are the principal(s) and who is/are the agent(s) in your analysis?
Can you think of one threat that arises from the use of agency theory in developing measures aimed to
prevent future banking and/or financial failures?
The emergency rescue of the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2008 has cost the UK government thus the

By pursuing this, the manager (agent) also pursues the goals of the shareholders (principals). At least
that is the idea behind it.
The Royal Bank of Scotland just like many other banks and businesses paid out its managers
considerable bonuses for their performances. Managers at RBS started maximising their bonuses by
aggressive actions such as take overs and investing in complex financial products. These actions
caused the profits of RBS to grow rapidly, which meant high bonuses for the managers. These actions,
however, also meant the stability and financial safety of RBS on the long term got worse and worse.
This was not a problem for the managers as they had already earned their bonuses. A different bonus
structure probably would have prevented the reckless actions of the RBS managers.
Bonuses of managers could be paid out in shares which they are obliged to keep for a certain time
period, e.g. 5 years. That way the share price on the long term is of importance for the managers and
the goal of the shareholders is aligned with the goal of the managers. However, the share price is
dependent on much more factors than the performance of just one manager. There is a risk that
managers would feel they have little to none influence on the share price and still make risk full
decisions. Another possibility would be determining the bonus of a manager on their performance in
the long run, e.g. 5 years. A combination of these two bonus

Characteristics And Mechanisms Of Agrobacterium Tumefaciens
I. Introduction
If I told you there was an organism that can sniff out it s victim, approach it, infect it, and cause
cancer, would you believe it can also genetically modify it s hosts to incorporate beneficial novel
genes? Agrobacterium tumefaciens is an unsung villain/hero that is in fact, capable of such amazing
things. Agrobacteria tumefaciens is a bacterium that parasitizes plant tissue, and causes what is often
referred to as crown gall yet it is more the virally reminiscent mechanism through which this occurs
than the physical deformity itself that is of interest. Agrobacterium tumefaciens is motile and utilizes
chemo taxis paired with its intrinsic secret weapon the Ti plasmid in order to accomplish gall
formation. Not only is the pathogenesis of this bacteria fascinating, but it moreover leaves scientists
with the opportunity to employ certain abilities of A. tumefaciens to engineer crops rendering
Agrobacterium tumefaciens very integral to modern agriculture, and future research. However with
great power comes great responsibility, and we will see yet, through examining the characteristics and
mechanisms of Agrobacterium tumefaciens whether it is a villain, or a hero!
II. Isolation and Subsequent Culturing Culturing Agrobacterium tumefaciens has been essential in
discovering the full mechanisms of its infection and tumor formation. Moreover, A. tumefaciens can

Nitobe Inazo s Influence On American Culture
Nitobe Inazo and his widely international popular book, influenced the way Japan was viewed by
Americans and the rest of the world during modern times (1900 45). It is questionable whether or not
he was a reliable source. However, without a doubt, Inazo impacted to international view of Japan,
during a time of imperialistic military events leading up to the fall of Japan at the end of World War II.
Nitobe Inazo was an educator, author and diplomat best known for his book Bushido: The Soul of
Japan. Nitobe was born into the Nambu Clan, which were made nobility during his life. He was the
son of a samurai who lived during the Meji and Taisho periods in Japan. After his early life, Inazo,
studied English Literature and Economics at Tokyo University. Then in 1884, he traveled to the United
States, where he stayed for three years, and studied political science and economics at Johns Hopkins.
Throughout his time in Baltimore, Maryland he became a member of a Quaker society. Through the
society, he met his wife Mary Patterson Elkson. In 1891, Inazo return back to Japan to fulfil a teaching

Why Is Corporal Punishment Ineffective
Corporal Punishment Physical harm for actions deemed negative has been a part of human civilization
since the beginning of time. Corporal punishment is the act of inflicting physical pain onto another
because of their wrongdoing. It has been in the spotlight of intense scrutiny and defense since
psychology and the understanding of punishment in general has become more prevalent. It has been
used in almost all walks of human life. Schools, homes, jail, etc. have all used or still use corporal
punishment as a means of correcting a person s misbehavior. In this essay, I intend to defend both
sides with an objective perspective. Ultimately, though, I will show the reasoning for corporal
punishment being a barbaric, ineffective, and counterintuitive method of conditioning a person out of
negative behavior. To start, I will explain the basic violation of human rights with engaging in corporal
punishment. Corporal Punishment is a direct assault on the human dignity of the child and a direct
invasion of the child s physical integrity. (Anne Smith, 2011) A person has the rights to their own body
and their wellbeing as long as they are in a state of sanity. When an individual does something another
thinks is wrong it, in no way, warrants the assaulting of another individual. Unless, of course, the
individual is hurting another in a way physical violence is the only method of handling the issue. Why
does it not warrant it? If every human decided to physically assault every

Forty two years of power, dictatorship, civil war where many lost their lives was Qaddafi s persona.
His accolade was being ruthless while maintaining a sense of flamboyance attitude that he was
invincible and no one could touch him. His eccentric leadership raised Qaddafi through the ranks of
the Libyan army in which he was made military chief and led Libyan forces to one of the deadliest
Arab wars against Israel.
Protest broke out in Libya which is the second largest city, Benghazi, to protest freedom, civil rights

Symbolism In The Dog Of Pompeii
Which place is frozen, but was once one fifth as hot as the sun s surface, and even earlier was full of
busily buzzing streets? . If you continue reading, you will know the answer and hear about how two
stories, The Dog of Pompeii and Pompeii: The City that Slept for 1,500 Years, have different or the
same symbols, theme, and conflict. I will talk about Symbolism first. Symbolism is the use of symbols
to signify ideas. The first symbol is in both stories, but means different things. Mount Vesuvius, or the
volcano closest to Pompeii, means horror and devastation in The Dog of Pompeii, as said Tito,
bewildered though he was, could recognize Rufus as he bellowed past him, like a water buffalo gone
mad. Time was lost in a nightmare. , but means peacefulness and quiet because Pompeii had been built
on the slope of Mount Vesuvius, an inactive volcano. says Pompeii: The City that Slept for 1,500
Years. Another symbol is the food. In Pompeii: The City that Slept for 1,500 Years food represents
history and culture, because it was two thousand years old and made differently, and in The Dog of
Pompeii, food meant survival. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The definition of theme is the subject of a talk, a piece of writing, a person s thoughts, or an
exhibition; a topic. As you can tell, theme is important, and so is surviving. In The Dog of Pompeii the
theme is survival because Tito has no parents or guardians to look after and provide for him and he is
blind. He was not only a dog, but also a nurse, pillow, playmate, mother, and father to Tito. is how
Bimbo helped. The theme for Pompeii: The City that Slept for 1,500 Years is discovery because it
explains how it was discovered, why it was discovered, and what was discovered in the city. Then, in
1784, a Spanish Army engineer became convinced that the city held vast

Comparison of Paintings of Irene and St Sebastian
The subject of this painting is Irene pulling an arrow from the body of St. Sebastian. Each figure in the
painting looks to contribute to a different part of a healing process; Saint Sebastian s body conveys the
idea of being sick or dying. His hands are tied up with rope, which gives the idea that he was injured
by the shadowy figures in the background and left for dead. Irene is kneeling to the right wearing the
red clothe and is being assisted by a servant is helping him by pulling an arrow from the saint s leg.
Life is being restored to Saint Sebastian, which is depicted by the two angels fly overhead, the crown
being held by the angels may suggest him becoming a saint for sacrificing himself for a belief. The
figures in the foreground take up most of the painting and are telling most of the stories happening.
Only a little of the figures in the background are being shown, but these figures are being directed to
by circular shape in the middle of the frame, that is showing an important connection to the
foreground. Most of the lines in the painting run horizontal and cross each other to drag the viewer s
eyes around the frame. The body of Saint Sebastian intersects the arm of the woman, also the direction
of the heads in the foreground creates implied lines that connect bring the viewer back and forth
across the painting. The in this painting like most of this era use lines help to convey motion. The uses
of foreshortening added not only depth to the painting but

The Lost Hero Analysis
Module 2 Discussion Question The book, The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan, can be found in both print
and digital edition in the collection at Trent Park Elementary. The print version is shelved in the fiction
section of the library. The Follett electronic versions are housed in Follettshelf which is accessed
through Destiny Quest. Selection According to Trent Park Elementary s Collection Development
Policy, there are three major criteria used to select all media center collection materials. The first, is
alignment with curriculum. Next, the material needs to fulfill the need of a student s reading level.
Last, it may replace a damaged item (Trent Park Elementary, 2012). These are not the only criteria

Students at Trent Park Elementary have access to their own device in classrooms for grades 1 5, iPads
and Kindle Fires are also accessible during the school day. Most students have access to devices after
school hours in the form of a smartphone or tablet or may check out a computer, Kindle or Kindle
Fire. Consideration must be given to how and when the material will be used. If it will be used for
strictly instruction during the school day, then compatibility with school devices must be considered,
if the purpose is to be accessed beyond school hours, then compatibility with smartphones or
borrowed devices are the main concern. For our students with physical challenges, compatibility with
a tablet is non negotiable. This Follett electronic eBook, The Lost Hero, is compatible with all devices
and platforms. There are many occasions when compatibility issues arise when content is downloaded
to devices (Johnson, 2013). Most all functionality to the Follett eBook can be accessed in most
desktops and tablets. To access full functionality of the eBook on all platforms, an app is available for

What Is The Six Thinking Hat
Edward De Bono is a man nominated for the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2005, and is considered as
a leading example in the area of creative thinking and innovation. He is the proud author of the six
thinking hats. His six thinking hat theory is widely used in many organizations such as IBM,
Prudential, GM, BT and Nokia. His methods are now a mandatory in schools in many countries. The
six thinking hats are white, yellow, black, and red, blue, green
The white hat is based on facts and calls on facts and nothing less. A business person or even a student
is recommended to be in the white thinking hat when dealing with something factual and
straightforward. For a person who is on a white thinking hat will only look through the facts and
figures and concludes based on that finding. For example, a business man who is looking through
figures and data on a fact sheet, will come up with a conclusion or decision based on that only and will
not compromise for any other discussion. The advantage of being on white thinking hat is that there
will be no rule breaking and everything will be a clear cut ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When on this hat, a person is allowed to express anger, dislikes and disagreements. In business this
thinking hat comes in handy when there are too many disagreements on the topic. This thinking hat is
rather interesting as Red Hat Thinking is very valuable as it shows that all the emotions such as
intuition, feelings are supposed to be expressed. And there will be the presence of that. If there are any
feelings involved than it would be good to share it as it might help with a proper business planning.
The red thinking hat includes variable feelings, such as curiosity, enthusiasm, interested, or even
boring. All this feeling somehow plays a part in a discussion as someone with a red thinking hat might
find the proposal boring and that would trigger the rest of the thinking hats to get deeper into the
feelings and find a

Inhibition Effect
To test the possibility that inhibition effect was generated from the use of only two alternative
peripheral stimuli, following experiment was carried out. A central box and four peripheral boxes were
used in the experiment and the positive IOR result ruled out the possible explanation that inhibition
limited to the two alternative boxes.
In the double cue experiment, inhibition showed when attention was split to two sides by both
simultaneously brightening peripheral boxes while no inhibition showed if the cue remained at the
center in the arrow experiment. Therefore, Posner and Cohen concluded that attentional orienting is
not necessary in inhibition of return.
Another two experiments were conducted to determine the relation between inhibition and eye
movement. In the first of the two experiments were Back and Forth Experiment, participants were
asked to fixate to the center box and then read the digit from one of the two peripheral boxes, which
was the cue. After that, returned their eyes to the center box when it was brightened. The target was
given after the brightening of the central box. A strong inhibitory effect showed for at least 1.5 sec at
the cued location. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rafal et al (1989) claim that rather than two separate pathways, endogenous and exogenous
activations, oculomotor preparation may be a better explanation for IOR generation. Rafal et al (1989)
conclude that endogenous and exogenous activations are competing with each other to access the
oculomotor apparatus. IOR is generated regardless of whether oculomotor preparation was initiated
endogenously or exogenously. However, it is suggested that IOR not only represents a change in
attentional bias but also related to oculomotor system. IOR can be generated in both attentional and
oculomotor systems (Hunt and Kingstone,

Brain Symbolism
The symbolism of the heart being related to the brain I feel is very unlikely. Although studies have
shown that in recent research of the heart they have found little details on how they have discovered
little neutrons and protons and nerve cells that can relate to the brain making it more believable that
the heart is much more than just another organ. The heart does not only just pump blood but they also
think the heart can transplant memories from the donor s past experiences. The symbolism of the heart
is a tricky thing to describe and relate to the brain as the human body is more complex than we could
have ever thought. When it comes down to the emotions, feelings, and memories people say they have
experienced is where the controversy

The trial of Orestes is used as the explanation for the formation for the court system. I establish this
tribunal. It shall be untouched by money making, grave but quick to wrath, watchful to protect those
who sleep a sentry on the land. Oresteia: (Eumenides, 704 706). Athena establishes the system of court

Just as the religion brings the rise of civilisations, so has it brought the fall of many. By introducing a
new religion in to the land of Thebes, Dionysus brings about the destruction of the system of society
present there. I happened to be away... I ve heard of some strange mischief in the town, stories of
women leaning home to frisk in mock ecstasies... Euripides: (Bacchae, 215 32) Pentheus returns home

Mk4 Banshee Case Study
Ominously, CMMG s Mk4 Banshee made its appearance on the national stage this past Friday the
13Th. But the only thing that could prove to be unlucky about the Missouri gunmaker s wicked new
guns are the hoops shooters will have to go through to put most in their safe.
Yup, the Banshee line is nearly top to bottom NFA regulated registration, tax, stamps, the whole nine
yards. That s the breaks (illogical as they might be) in the short barreled rifle world. The company has
taken some mercy on the hearts of those who refuse to jump when the ATF says frog, releasing
complementary AR pistols in the line s four calibers. Even so, CMMG gives ample reasons to
contemplate doing the Fed s paper dance; by all accounts, the backpack big carbines are sound as oak
joists and light as a morning breeze. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The guns are plum featherweight. The pistol caliber Banshees just trips over the 4.5 pound mark,
while the rifle caliber configurations are well within a rounding error of a flat 5 pounds. As those who
shoot magnum revolvers know, this is tantalizingly tickling handgun heft with the benefit of a stock
(or brace).
CMMG offers the Banshees in .22LR, 9mm, .45 ACP and .300 Blackout, each boasting the shortest
barrel the company bores for the caliber. In the case of pistol calibers that snaps the tape at a nimble 5
inches, while the Blackout measures out at 8 inches. In both cases, the Banshees should prove not only
portable but also as fast handling as they come particularly in a close quarters application.
The Banshees come decked out, as those familiar with CMMG would suppose. Each version of the
BANSHEE sports the company s new ambidextrous charging handle, as well as sling plate and safety
selector. They come standard with a Cerakote finish, an RML M LOK Hand Guard and a Magpul
MOE Pistol Grip. The AR Pistol versions each come with a Tailhook Mod 2

How Does Shakespeare Use Jealousy In Othello
In Othello, Shakespeare uses lying and murder to show how powerful emotions can be. During the
play, characters use extreme actions to cope with their emotions. Iago lies to Othello and plots to have
Cassio murdered; Roderigo listens to anything Iago says in order to get with Desdemona; and Othello
decides to kill Desdemona out of rage once he believes she is cheating on him. It is important to note
Shakespeare utilizes both envy and jealousy which people commonly misinterpret as the same. Envy
is wanting what someone else has, while jealousy is fearing that someone else will take what you
have. Throughout Othello, the power of envy, manipulation, and jealousy can be seen through the
actions of Iago, Othello, and various other characters.
Envy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He has no regard for the other characters well being as his envy is so strong. Roderigo is another
character that experiences envy. Roderigo wants to be with Desdemona, but Desdemona is married to
Othello. Roderigo is willing to do anything that gives him a chance to be with Desdemona. Iago is
able to convince Roderigo to sell all of his assets for money, instigate a fight with Cassio, and attempt
to murder Cassio, because his envy is able to overpower his rational thought. The envy of Iago and
Roderigo is what causes the rest of the play to commence. Iago manipulates others in order to take his
envy out on others, while Roderigo is able to be manipulated easily as envy clouds his judgement.
This manipulation is another important aspect of the play.
Iago uses manipulation throughout the play in an attempt to get revenge on Othello and to progress the
plot. He is able to manipulate several of the characters in the play as he is very persuasive. Iago first
manipulates Roderigo as he is an easy target. He convinces him that he has a chance to be with
Desdemona reasoning that she fell in love with Othello quickly, so she will fall out of love with him
quickly. Iago is able to convince Roderigo to sell his assets and help him get revenge

Essay on Casualties of World War I
The First World War witnessed an appalling number of casualties. Due partly to this fact, some
historians, developed the perception that commanders on both sides dependence on only one
disastrous approach to breaking the stalemate. These historians attributed the loss of life to the reliance
on soldiers charging across no man s land only to be mowed down by enemy machineguns. The
accuracy of this, however, is fallacious since a variety of tactics existed on both sides. The main
reason for battlefield success and eventual victory came from the transformation of battlefield tactics;
nevertheless, moral played a major role by greatly affecting the development of new tactics and the
final outcome of the war.
Tactics during the early stages ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These officers claimed that the German s would subjugate France to a similar punishment that Russia
received in the Treaty of Brest Litovsk. The soldiers concurred with their officers and agreed to return
to the front lines (Smith 190). The French High Command, however, did not value the treatment of
enlisted men as equals and order the executions of a number of the mutineers. The French Command,
also, decided that the prudent decision to stop impending mutinies would be the ending of on any new
large scale offensive (Smith 195). With the comprehension that moral could collapse further the Allies
turned to a handful of new tactics to minimize the number of deaths that occurred.
From observations from the battlefield and experimentation the Allies developed a number of tactics
that allowed them to gain substantially more ground than in the past while reducing the number of
casualties. To reduce wastage, the number of soldiers killed during a normal day, the French adopted
the use of difeme en profondeur (defence in depth)... (Smith 195). The British, also, developed the
tactic Bite and Hold that centered on advancing troops only as far as they could hold, which reduced
the chance of a successful German counterattack. Both the British and French developed the creeping
barrage to force the Germans defenders to stay under cover until the attackers advanced up to the
German lines. With these new tactics and more available to them the allies could

Summary Of The Mirror By Virginia Woolf
The way one person perceives the world is not always the way another perceives, just as a reflection
shows a person but reflected backwards. The mirror does not create falsehood; it instead shows the
views of every side. Every person is going to see something different when looking into the mirror
depending on where they stand. When Virginia Woolf writes she tells the world of an idea everybody
can relate to. She writes on women and men and shows how they related through the mirror.
Sometimes to empower and others to educate those that don t have that view point or understand. She
writes both the common and uncommon views and shows how they both stand together in one mirror.
Two text which reflect two Ideas through the mirror to show the world are Professions for Women and
Thoughts on Peace in an Air Raid. Ladies are well represented in Virginia Woolf s stories such as
Professions for Women and Thoughts on Peace in an Air Raid. Both of these Texts reflect the standard
for women at this time. In Professions for women Virginia Woolf tells of her story of being a women;
showing her views of the world through reflection of her life. Virginia Woolf starts by creating
powerful small ideas when she writes, it is true, I am a women; it is true I am employed, but what
professional experiences have I had? Using her short chops of information she has simplified herself
so that more people can see her in their mirror. This is great because it simplifies Woolf making her

This was one of the first lessons I taught to these students, so I made sure to ask them questions to get
a grasp of their prior knowledge of slope. I liked how the question What is slope? had a variety of
answers that I could build off of. When a student answered y intercept , I used what she could
remember from a relating factor of the slope and connected it to the equation. The discussion we had
at the start of lesson was extremely vital for these students because many of them have retention

When students start showing me their answers, for one student I replied with feedback of having the

Fogo de Chão is a Brazilian Steakhouse on International Drive, Orlando. Just like most Brazilian

Although this is common in this culture s cuisine, it requires a lot of patience and stability (both of
which were prominent). As well as this, it is unique to that area, making it an interesting dining
experience for both locals and tourists. The first time I went to this restaurant, a large rack of juicy
beef was presented in the front window of the restaurant. With it, a pit of fire greeted the guests
coming in and slowly roasting the beef. Later, during your meal you have to put in a request for the

  • 2. Tell Tale Heart Comparison The Tell Tale Heart , by Edgar Allan Poe, is a literary masterpiece. It is written from the unique perspective of a madman who is out to kill an old man because of his Evil Eye . The man accomplishes this but is overcome with guilt in the form of a beating heart for he loved the man. The madman gives himself up to the police when he can t bear to hear the heart any longer. The original version of The Tell Tale Heart is far superior to the version written by me in a different perspective. The phrase The original is always better than the sequel stands true in the case of The Tell Tale Heart . It is better, without even saying anything about its details, just because of Edgar Allan Poe s unique writing style. His writing style goes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The American used a few Sherman M4A3 M4A6 medium tanks in Vietnam (The M4 Sherman medium tank was the most common Allied tank used in World War II.) However, by the time the Korean War had ended, the Americans had, for the most part, replaced the Sherman with more modern tanks. The North Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong were supplied with Soviet tanks: the T 34/85 medium tank, which was first used during World War II, the T 54 main battle tank and the PT 76 light amphibious tank. • 4. Relationship Between The English And The Native Americans Shayne Chen Mrs. Allen OCO AP US History 27 August 2015 The War of the Change The relationship between the English and the Native Americans in 1600 to 1700 is one of the most fluctuating and the most profound relationships in American history. On the one side of the picture, the harmony between Wampanoag and Puritans even inspires them to celebrate first Thanksgiving ; while, by contrast, the conflicts between the Pequots and the English urge them to antagonize each other, and even wage a war. In addition, the mystery of why the European settlers, including English, become the dominant power in American world, instead of the indigenous people, or Indians, can be solved from the examination of the relationship. In a variety of ways, the relationship drastically alters how people think about and relate to the aborigines. Politically, the relationship changes to establish the supremacy of the English; the English intends to obtain the land and rules over it. Socially, the relationship changes to present the majority of the English settlers; the dominating population is mostly the English settlers. Economically, the relationship changes to obtain the benefit of the English settlers; they gain profit from the massive resource in America. Therefore, the relationship does, in fact, change to foreshadow the discordance of the two groups of people. Firstly, the relationship changes in the politics in many ways. • 6. The Negative Impact of Social Networking Sites on People Social Networking Sites People have been impacted by social networking sites. Social networking sites have a negative influence on our generation because of bullying, predation, and an effect on our education. With kids interacting freely they can come across predation. Furthermore, some predators have an objective of enticing young people into sending inappropriate webcam photos of themselves or to engage in sexually explicit conversations (Sexton and English 2). Kids are the easiest to manipulate and to take control of. Also, critics of social networking sites claim that it contributes to predatory or stalking behavior and can used to invade privacy (Belanger and Finley 1). Parents should be going through their children s profile to make sure who they are talking to. Clearly, with kids sending private information about themselves they can be blackmailed by the receiver into mental and physical abuse. Our generation is mostly being affected by cyberbullying. Additionally, anonymity online can cause people to engage in cyberbullying or other anti social behavior because of limited fear of being caught or identified (Sexton and English 2). • 10. The Effects Of Domestic Violence On Children Essay Domestic violence is a crime of either passion or violence which should never be tolerated by anybody if at all the society is to be made safe enough for people to live in. Domestic violence can be defined as any threatening, abusive, or violent behavior in the home either between adult children and other adult family members (Gibbons, 2011). It can also be used by one intimate partner to establish power and control over the other partner through fear and intimidation. Domestic violence can happen anywhere to anyone of any race, religion, culture, or economic status. It can occur in any relationship, including heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender and also within extended families (Women s Aid 2010). It affects both partners, their children, other family members, friends, and colleagues. Although emotional abuse in a relationship can happen equally regardless of gender, the more threatening and dangerous forms of domestic violence are usually committed by a man against a woman (Patriarchal Roots, n.d). Often the aggressor in a violent relationship feels a high level of ownership over the other partner and the children which too often results in injury or death if this person tries to end the relationship or report the violence. Unfortunately, children are not left out and many times they fall victims of abuse or sexual assault (Sexual violence against women, n.d). This can be very traumatizing to the children and they might grow up in fear of being abusers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What Gatchel says makes a lot of sense, that states being under budget for the prisons due to the over population and since the income of a prison comes from tax payers, there is only so much that jails can take to take care of the inmates. I come from a country that they still handle small criminals the old ways, and big time criminals are the only people that end up in jail, therefore when it comes to budgeting at the beginning of the year, the country has more money to invest towards the people, rather than the criminals that are part of the noncontributing part of the society. The opposing issue that I can think of would be that some people might say that it is a cruel way to treat someone when you degrade them in public, but what they don t realize is that when people ... • 15. The Effect Of Ph And Temperature On Enzyme Introduction When examining the effect of pH or temperature on enzyme function it is important to consider the type of enzyme being examined. While there may be an apparent effect of pH and temperature on all enzymatic function, the extent of the effect is dependent on the type of enzyme being examined. The current study is focused on the effect of temperature and pH on catechol oxidase; an enzyme that oxidises catechol. The examination of enzymatic activity under the constraints of variable temperature and pH levels are important in order to understand how metabolic processes fluctuate with variable environmental conditions (Freese et al., 2012). For our purposes, enzyme activity is defined as the amount of time a substrate is catalyzed by an enzyme, and is dependent on temperature and pH levels (Tijskens et al., 2001). While there is variability in the effect of environmental conditions on enzyme activity, studies tend to show that enzyme activity is very low and sometimes inactive with lower pH values with all enzymes (Da Silva et al., 2011) and that pH and temperature levels outside of the normative range tend to have a negative effect on all types of enzymes (De Angelis et al., 2010). For example, there are particular enzymes that are more active in lower thermal temperatures as compared to enzymes that are more commonly found in warm bodied organisms (Freese et al., 2012). This suggests that the variability in enzymatic activity is partly due to the natural environment ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Can you think of one threat that arises from the use of agency theory in developing measures aimed to prevent future banking and/or financial failures? The emergency rescue of the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2008 has cost the UK government thus the British taxpayer a huge amount of money. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By pursuing this, the manager (agent) also pursues the goals of the shareholders (principals). At least that is the idea behind it. The Royal Bank of Scotland just like many other banks and businesses paid out its managers considerable bonuses for their performances. Managers at RBS started maximising their bonuses by aggressive actions such as take overs and investing in complex financial products. These actions caused the profits of RBS to grow rapidly, which meant high bonuses for the managers. These actions, however, also meant the stability and financial safety of RBS on the long term got worse and worse. This was not a problem for the managers as they had already earned their bonuses. A different bonus structure probably would have prevented the reckless actions of the RBS managers. Bonuses of managers could be paid out in shares which they are obliged to keep for a certain time period, e.g. 5 years. That way the share price on the long term is of importance for the managers and the goal of the shareholders is aligned with the goal of the managers. However, the share price is dependent on much more factors than the performance of just one manager. There is a risk that managers would feel they have little to none influence on the share price and still make risk full decisions. Another possibility would be determining the bonus of a manager on their performance in the long run, e.g. 5 years. A combination of these two bonus ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Agrobacterium tumefaciens is an unsung villain/hero that is in fact, capable of such amazing things. Agrobacteria tumefaciens is a bacterium that parasitizes plant tissue, and causes what is often referred to as crown gall yet it is more the virally reminiscent mechanism through which this occurs than the physical deformity itself that is of interest. Agrobacterium tumefaciens is motile and utilizes chemo taxis paired with its intrinsic secret weapon the Ti plasmid in order to accomplish gall formation. Not only is the pathogenesis of this bacteria fascinating, but it moreover leaves scientists with the opportunity to employ certain abilities of A. tumefaciens to engineer crops rendering Agrobacterium tumefaciens very integral to modern agriculture, and future research. • 20. Why Is Corporal Punishment Ineffective Corporal Punishment Physical harm for actions deemed negative has been a part of human civilization since the beginning of time. Corporal punishment is the act of inflicting physical pain onto another because of their wrongdoing. It has been in the spotlight of intense scrutiny and defense since psychology and the understanding of punishment in general has become more prevalent. It has been used in almost all walks of human life. Schools, homes, jail, etc. have all used or still use corporal punishment as a means of correcting a person s misbehavior. In this essay, I intend to defend both sides with an objective perspective. Ultimately, though, I will show the reasoning for corporal punishment being a barbaric, ineffective, and counterintuitive method of conditioning a person out of negative behavior. To start, I will explain the basic violation of human rights with engaging in corporal punishment. Corporal Punishment is a direct assault on the human dignity of the child and a direct invasion of the child s physical integrity. (Anne Smith, 2011) A person has the rights to their own body and their wellbeing as long as they are in a state of sanity. When an individual does something another thinks is wrong it, in no way, warrants the assaulting of another individual. Unless, of course, the individual is hurting another in a way physical violence is the only method of handling the issue. Why does it not warrant it?
