In my opinion, The Voices did a pretty accurate portrayal of what Schizophrenia could potentially look
like in a patient. Jerry, Ryan Reynolds, exhibited many of the classic symptoms that we associate with
Schizophrenia; he also had several of the predisposing risk factors. This movie gave a good overall
portrayal of the lifestyle that someone with Schizophrenia could potentially lead, especially how
normal one can seem if you only know them superficially. We get to see different parts of his life from
his perspective, and then from the perspective of the other characters. One particular example of this is
his apartment. From Jerry s perspective, it is well kept and orderly; when Lisa comes to see him, we
see that his apartment is actually a mess, there are multiple stacks of boxes, blood everywhere from

At each site, the client s often come up with a shared goal that everyone would like to work on.
Recently, at one of the groups, I talked about establishing healthy boundaries with the clients. As a
group, all of the clients decided to incorporate weekly guidelines for setting appropriate limits with
one another during their time together. I thought this was an excellent example of the clients coming
together to support one another while attending weekly sessions. Another recent example of shared

Factors include temperature, pH, inhibitors and activators all of which will be tested and observed for
in this lab. The rate of enzyme catalyzed is affected by concentrations of both substrate and enzyme.
Increasing the temperature on a reaction increases its molecular movement. The rate of an enzyme
catalyzed reaction increases with temperatures but only up until the point of optimum temperature the
highest point before the eventual decline. Below the optimum temperature, the hydrogen bonds and
hydrophobic interactions that make the enzyme its given shape can no longer be supported by its
flexibility. High temperatures cause enzymes to denature to lose its three dimensional figure. The
denaturation of enzymes plays a huge role in this lab s absorbance derived from the results. Inhibitors
also play a vital role in what affects enzyme functions done in Lab Weeks 4 and 5. When a substrate
that binds to an enzyme and the activity decreases, it is called an inhibitor. In our lab, our enzyme
