CORRUPTION
• Corruption can be defined as anything which is 
benefiting you by illegal means whether that is 
bribery, saying lies, ditching others etc,. 
• Corruption is deviance from the path of 
honesty and treading the path of selfishness. It 
is gaining at the cost of loss of others.
• Negligence, showing favors, abuse of power, 
acceptance of gifts, misappropriation, misuse, 
delay, cheating etc. 
• Corruption includes political, administrative, 
media and as well as corruption done by 
people.
HISTORY 
Corruption is as old as human history. It is not a new 
phenomenon which people cannot recognize. It has its 
impact from the beginning. 
Later, in Moghuls age we can observe giving bribes to 
have armed support against their enemies. After, in British 
age, we see corruption in Plassey war. After political 
assumption of British in India, there were so many cases 
which British government itself prosecuted and held them 
as guilty. 
After gaining independence, there were huge corruption 
charges on leaders and partook in great scams. Those 
are, Hawala, IPL, Fodder, CWG, 2G scams etc. so far.
• Corruption is the basic problem for our 
country that affects each and every section 
such that it affects the development of India by 
reducing reform infrastructure and provides 
low quality services to the individuals.
• Take example of any field and you will find 
many cases of corruption and misuse related to 
that particular field. Be it Politics, Education, 
Banking, Railways, Government, Military, Air 
Force, Navy, Police, Management, Offices 
everywhere you have to face corruption.

1)Loss to tax payers : Working class people keep 
on paying tax to the government but it is being 
misused and fall in pocket of others in form of 
corruption. 
2)Inflation : As the economy is falling down, 
corruption is getting high the result is inflation 
is reaching to its peak. 
3)Lack of infrastructure : Public money is 
going in the personal pockets which is meant 
to invest on public infrastructure.

because of misuse of funds, bribery and
