around the earth. They have actual facts to back up these beliefs, and it is easy to see that both points
are valid. The next exhibit was called ?Health?. Here I played a genetics game that told me that some
of my own physical characteristics are very common among people and how some of them are unique
only to me. Next I visited ?One Race.? Here I learned how little of a person?s genetic makeup actually
decides skin color. I found it interesting how just a little something on the inside makes such a great
change on the outside. The last exhibit of the gallery was called ?Prejudices.? Here I saw a model of a
slave ship and I was able to stand inside a box the same size as that of which slaves traveled in on

Examining the performance of domestic savings in Egypt, through the first decade of 21st century and
the first three years of the second decade, illustrates not just the weak performance of domestic saving,
but also its tendency to deteriorate over the considered time period.
The Hodrick Prescott Filter (HP) is used to generate a trend component from a time series regarding
the level of gross domestic savings in Egypt as a percentage of GDP.
Figure 1 illustrates that gross domestic savings as a percentage of GDP starts at 12.9% in 2000 and it

Two significant historical structures are compared in this essay which are The Temple of Artemis at
Ephesus and the Taj Mahal. These two architectural installations were created in different time periods
and in different civilizations. The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus and the Taj Mahal both may have
some similarities and several differences.
The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus was constructed by Greek architectures in the mid 6th century BCE

like during the pre industrial era. She features the role that midwives and women in general played in

Although the story focuses on the works of Martha Ballard she makes it perfectly clear in the book
that caring for the health of others was the responsibility of all women in the community. Very rarely
in the book did Martha attend someone on by herself. Ulrich states, In such circumstances it was
comforting to have the women with her; they could witness her efforts to ensure a safe delivery and
they could assist with the sorrowful task of preparing an infant for burial. Several times in the diary
Ballard referenced someone laying out the deceased in their funeral clothes or the after nurse that
came to help with a newborn. Martha Ballard had her own family and home duties to attend. It is
chronicled that she would often times stay for days with someone but it is unrealistic to think she
could take care of all things herself. Ulrich discusses infant mortality rate and that the support of the
community is what made Martha such a great midwife. Ballard did not simply just show up at a birth.
The impending parents had to choose her and ask her to come. Such confidence comes by word of
mouth from someone that has had their child delivered by Martha. Even those who lost a child can
attest that Ballard did all she could to try to save their child. Having the women present also gives
someone else to pass on Ballard s professional ability to their own

David Fincher s film, Fight Club (1999), puts the internal struggles for meaning that heterosexual
white men experience within today s society into motion. Charles Guignon examines the film s violent
and sexual factors as well as how they pose a meaningful appeal to violence, primarily, in the young
men of our society. Moreover, the film stirs up a fascination with violence that many of us may feel,
an attraction to inflicting pain and experiencing pain ourselves (35). Through concepts of absent
fathers, consumerism and an aimless being, Fight Club platforms a provocative view on how men in
modern society have lost their identity through emasculation and the extremely disturbing activities
they combat in order to find it again. Fight Club asserts the path to finding one s meaning is not simple
and, in turn, develops into a despairing and inconclusive struggle. The excessive consumerism in the
film signifies a sign of emotional emptiness. The film provides the viewer extensive knowledge on
contemporary American society by raising important questions about the embraced values in that
society. With the struggle for finding meaning and the prevalent masculine identity crisis manifested
in Fight Club, why do some men s daily lives fail to satisfy them in contemporary society? And
