Part –A Presentation
Scope of total work
Scope of Work:
Execution of all civil work as per the specification mentioned in the As built drawing that are
provided by the client. Unit Rate shall include the Labour, Equipment's, Materials, Plants &
Machinery, transportation, Loading & Unloading Charges. Materials that are consumables are to be
tested and has to be compared with IS specification. Before Using of the materials Third Party test
report & Material Test Certificate has to be Submitted to the Client. Design mix has to be approved
from the client before the batching of concrete takes place.
Major Works Involved are:
Concrete Work, Reinforcement Work, Formwork, Post Tensioning, Masonry Works, Plaster Works,
Granite flooring Work, Tiling Work.
Execution of all MEP works as per the drawings. Rate Shall include labour Charges, tools &
machinery charges, and also Unloading Charges. Rate Shall be Quoted in Lump-Sum Value for the
execution of work only.
Types of Contract :
Item Rate Contract:
For the Civil & Rough works Finish related works Item rate contract type has been
Selected. Since the Project is commercial Office space building there will be high Probability of design
changes that client will consider to satisfy the customer need. Hence to avoid discrepancy during the
Execution Stage, It is better to have the item rate Contract, where contractor will be paid based on the
Quantity of Work done.
Labor Contract(Specilazation of Lumpsum Contract )
► We have assigned Lumpsum contract to MEP services, since lumpsum contract is used to reduce the
design and contract administration cost.
► In lumpsum contract, the contractor is required to submit a total and global prices instead of bidding on
individual items.
► Lumpsum is opted, since the scope of the MEP services is very well defined and the construction
drawings are completed. Only execution is given to the contractor and material is provided by the client.
► The main advantage of lumpsum contract is;
 Low risk to the owner.
 Fixed construction cost.
 Minimize change orders.
 Contractor will try complete the project faster.
 The contractor will maximize their production and performance

SCOPE OF WORKS FOR THE CONCRETING
The scope of work is to be providing and laying of the concrete for all the civil and structural works for the IT
building as per the BOQ and the special contracts conditions of the site.
The following work shall be included by the Contractor in its Tender and Contract as they may not have been
detailed specifically on specifications, but we required in order that a complete job in every respect can be.
► The supply, maintenance and removal of all temporary rungs, and ramping as necessary on the site.
► Placing of concrete will be pumps only or as approved by the Project Head.
► All finishes and to the concrete work as shown or specified. Concrete construction of all slabs, staircases,
beams & columns, etc. as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings.
► All roof mechanical and other building services equipment pads and kerbs at the HVAC and Electrical
openings, concrete including dowels, formwork and roughing of concrete.
► Allow for keeping the works clear and tidy at all times and for the removal of debris arising from the works,
and to be disposed off at locations designated by the Project Head, and frequent removed off the site. Any
surplus concrete deposited at the work front of on the site (concrete droppings) must be removed by the
Contractor at its own expense.
► All fire grading and removal of standing water before the placing of concrete.
► Leaving all necessary holes and pockets for steel work beams for lifts and for making good after
installation by other Contractors. Casting in all slots and inserts for fixings to guides and runners to lift
shafts.
► Providing and casting into concrete slots to receive masonry or blockwork ties to support all such walls as
shown on the drawings or as directed by the Project Head.
► Forming necessary cut-outs at pipe locations to accommodate electrical, plumbing sprinkler and electrical
services.
► Provide grout for lift saddle and floor closures prior to setting (setting by others)
► Grout pumps and other mechanical equipment as required.
► Provide temporary shoring and strutting as required due to the operations of the Contractor. Provide and
maintain ladders until stairs are usable.Erect sufficient safety signs, posters and maintain high level of
safety during the entire construction.

Satva (Client) invites Online tenders for the approved contractors of appropriate class for the following work:
PROVIDING AND LAYING OF CONCRETE FOR CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL WORK FOR IT BUILDING,
BANGLORE, KARNATAKA. Estimated Cost: Rs.65 crores. Last date of online submission of tenders is on
22.09.2019. Detailed Tender Notice along with conditions of contract and Notice Inviting E-Tender may be
seen from the www.comapny.ltd
Name of the work: concreting and civil work for the IT building in the Bangalore named as “big southern ”.
Tentative Quantity : 1,00,000 cum ( M50-20,000cum, M30-35,000cum, M35-45,0000cum)
Estimated amount: Rs. 65 Crores
Bid guarantee: Rs.1,30,00,000
Completion time: 16 months
► The scope of work in this tender is for all the concreting works (permanent works and temporary
works) for the client more fully described in the BOQs.
► The earnest money deposit will be 2% of the contract value in the form of the DD/ cheque. EMD will
be refunded once agreement is signed and on submission of the performance bank guarantee.
Following are the special conditions that are mentioned in the concession agreement -
 Engineer (Consultant) will be appointed by the client for which the cost will be payable by the
concessionaire.
 Quality checks need to be performed for each work in the presence of the Engineer.
 Accommodation for Client And Consultation needs to be provided at site.
 Word shall be Executed in metric system.
 Payment shall be made to the contractor as the actual measurement taken at site.
 The contractor should give a Minimum four week Notice in case of any delay of the work to the
appointed engineer. For further extension of time engineer will take permission form the client.
Special Conditions of Contract (SCC)
 The Client/Engineer/Executing Agency may carry out Third Party Quality Assurance/Audit by an
independent agency/ individual/firm/institute at any time.
 Quantities indicated in BOQ are tentative which may vary as per site conditions. Contractor must
verify quantities before procuring the material. No payment shall be payable for quantity brought to
site but not used.
• Storage of material should be in organized manner as directed by Executing Agency in
proper compartments.
• The contractor shall conform to the provisions of any statue, ordinance, law, act of the legislature
relating to the works, and to the regulations an by-laws of any local or other duly constituted
authority.

recyclable. Tiles should have a re-cycled content of more than 70% with

resistance to maintain dimensional stability with RH up to 99% at 40

joint of 3mm wide filled with the Epoxy grout mix

  • 2. Scope of total work Scope of Work: Execution of all civil work as per the specification mentioned in the As built drawing that are provided by the client. Unit Rate shall include the Labour, Equipment's, Materials, Plants & Machinery, transportation, Loading & Unloading Charges. Materials that are consumables are to be tested and has to be compared with IS specification. Before Using of the materials Third Party test report & Material Test Certificate has to be Submitted to the Client. Design mix has to be approved from the client before the batching of concrete takes place. Major Works Involved are: Concrete Work, Reinforcement Work, Formwork, Post Tensioning, Masonry Works, Plaster Works, Granite flooring Work, Tiling Work. Execution of all MEP works as per the drawings. Rate Shall include labour Charges, tools & machinery charges, and also Unloading Charges. Rate Shall be Quoted in Lump-Sum Value for the execution of work only.
  • 3. Types of Contract : Item Rate Contract: For the Civil & Rough works Finish related works Item rate contract type has been Selected. Since the Project is commercial Office space building there will be high Probability of design changes that client will consider to satisfy the customer need. Hence to avoid discrepancy during the Execution Stage, It is better to have the item rate Contract, where contractor will be paid based on the Quantity of Work done. Labor Contract(Specilazation of Lumpsum Contract ) ► We have assigned Lumpsum contract to MEP services, since lumpsum contract is used to reduce the design and contract administration cost. ► In lumpsum contract, the contractor is required to submit a total and global prices instead of bidding on individual items. ► Lumpsum is opted, since the scope of the MEP services is very well defined and the construction drawings are completed. Only execution is given to the contractor and material is provided by the client.
  • 4. ► The main advantage of lumpsum contract is;  Low risk to the owner.  Fixed construction cost.  Minimize change orders.  Contractor will try complete the project faster.  The contractor will maximize their production and performance
  • 5. Specify drawing and have Site Visit if Required Discuss about payments and Execution part Finally Award the work
  • 6. SCOPE OF WORKS FOR THE CONCRETING The scope of work is to be providing and laying of the concrete for all the civil and structural works for the IT building as per the BOQ and the special contracts conditions of the site. The following work shall be included by the Contractor in its Tender and Contract as they may not have been detailed specifically on specifications, but we required in order that a complete job in every respect can be. ► The supply, maintenance and removal of all temporary rungs, and ramping as necessary on the site. ► Placing of concrete will be pumps only or as approved by the Project Head. ► All finishes and to the concrete work as shown or specified. Concrete construction of all slabs, staircases, beams & columns, etc. as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings. ► All roof mechanical and other building services equipment pads and kerbs at the HVAC and Electrical openings, concrete including dowels, formwork and roughing of concrete. ► Allow for keeping the works clear and tidy at all times and for the removal of debris arising from the works, and to be disposed off at locations designated by the Project Head, and frequent removed off the site. Any surplus concrete deposited at the work front of on the site (concrete droppings) must be removed by the Contractor at its own expense.
  • 7. ► All fire grading and removal of standing water before the placing of concrete. ► Leaving all necessary holes and pockets for steel work beams for lifts and for making good after installation by other Contractors. Casting in all slots and inserts for fixings to guides and runners to lift shafts. ► Providing and casting into concrete slots to receive masonry or blockwork ties to support all such walls as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Project Head. ► Forming necessary cut-outs at pipe locations to accommodate electrical, plumbing sprinkler and electrical services. ► Provide grout for lift saddle and floor closures prior to setting (setting by others) ► Grout pumps and other mechanical equipment as required. ► Provide temporary shoring and strutting as required due to the operations of the Contractor. Provide and maintain ladders until stairs are usable.Erect sufficient safety signs, posters and maintain high level of safety during the entire construction.
  • 8. NOTICE INVITING TENDER TENDER NOTICE NO. 202828 CIVIL/ E-TENDER/ 2018-19 DATED:20/08/2019 Satva (Client) invites Online tenders for the approved contractors of appropriate class for the following work: PROVIDING AND LAYING OF CONCRETE FOR CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL WORK FOR IT BUILDING, BANGLORE, KARNATAKA. Estimated Cost: Rs.65 crores. Last date of online submission of tenders is on 22.09.2019. Detailed Tender Notice along with conditions of contract and Notice Inviting E-Tender may be seen from the www.comapny.ltd Name of the work: concreting and civil work for the IT building in the Bangalore named as “big southern ”. Tentative Quantity : 1,00,000 cum ( M50-20,000cum, M30-35,000cum, M35-45,0000cum) Estimated amount: Rs. 65 Crores Bid guarantee: Rs.1,30,00,000 Completion time: 16 months
  • 9. ► The scope of work in this tender is for all the concreting works (permanent works and temporary works) for the client more fully described in the BOQs. ► The earnest money deposit will be 2% of the contract value in the form of the DD/ cheque. EMD will be refunded once agreement is signed and on submission of the performance bank guarantee.
  • 10. Following are the special conditions that are mentioned in the concession agreement -  Engineer (Consultant) will be appointed by the client for which the cost will be payable by the concessionaire.  Quality checks need to be performed for each work in the presence of the Engineer.  Accommodation for Client And Consultation needs to be provided at site.  Word shall be Executed in metric system.  Payment shall be made to the contractor as the actual measurement taken at site.  The contractor should give a Minimum four week Notice in case of any delay of the work to the appointed engineer. For further extension of time engineer will take permission form the client. Special Conditions of Contract (SCC)
  • 11.  The Client/Engineer/Executing Agency may carry out Third Party Quality Assurance/Audit by an independent agency/ individual/firm/institute at any time.  Quantities indicated in BOQ are tentative which may vary as per site conditions. Contractor must verify quantities before procuring the material. No payment shall be payable for quantity brought to site but not used. • Storage of material should be in organized manner as directed by Executing Agency in proper compartments. • The contractor shall conform to the provisions of any statue, ordinance, law, act of the legislature relating to the works, and to the regulations an by-laws of any local or other duly constituted authority.   • 16. BOQ – Tiling Sl No Description Unit Quantity Rate 3 Receiving and Laying of Vitrified tiles of Size 60cm * 60cm, thickness of 10mm laid with adhesive of the Cement Mortar 1:3. Tiles has to be laid on the 15to 20mm thick and with a thick coat of Cement Slurry at the rate 3.3kg /Sq.m on the Cement Sand bed.
