Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. Contentspage analysis
Target Audience: The target audience for this magazine is for people aged around 16 who are usually just
discoveringwhattype of music they like. The genre of music is rock which is quitean informal type therefore the
target audiencewould not commonly be seen as middleaged people such as 35 and older. We see how itwill be
targeted as teenagers as the text is mainly informal and theimages contain things such as guitars and people
screaming.
House Style:The house styleof the magazineis mainly colours likeblack, whiteand yellow. On ‘Kerrang!’ contents
pages, the background is white and the writingis black. However, the magazine contents shows its significanceas
every contents page with this magazineshows the headings in a gold colour with a black background, and the
contents are always in red number points. On the “Kerrang!” contents page, the layoutalways shows the Gutenberg
principleshown in a sameway, with the main image in the primary optical area, and the masthead in the strong
fallowarea etc.
DesignBalance/Design
Symmetry: Within the design
balance/symmetry, the design
seems to be informally balanced
as the masthead is on the right
hand sideand the main image
takes up more than justhalf of
the page. However, the contents
have a slightbalanceto it as they
are shown in 3 columns.The
informal balancehelps to
represent the genre of the
magazine.
GutenbergDesignPrinciple: In the primary optical area, the contents page shows the main image of a popular
band. This will beplaced here as itwill bean importantpart of the magazine, therefore the readers eyes will be
drawn towards itfirst. On the strong fallowarea, the masthead has been placed in an unusual design and itis not
common for the masthead to be here. The readers eyes , however, will be drawn towards the masthead almost
straightaway, which makes itstill noticeablefor the reader to see as itis importantinforma tion. The weak fallow
area contains an imageof a male artistplayingtheguitar and singing, with the headline‘SHOTS’ in bold, yellow
text. This helps the reader to look more in the weak fallowarea as itis eye catching. The terminal area contains as
badge with images explainingwho helped to create the magazine. This is a slightly differentcolour to the rest of
the contents page, making the reader notice itmore.
Imagery: The imagery of this contents page shows a range of different images which represent the magazine genre
and what this particular magazinewill contain inside. The main image contains 4 males, all partof the same roc k
band, which are stood in a friendly position with a caption sayingthatthey ‘really want a hug.’ This is humorous to
the people who are readingthe magazine as itchallenges the stereotype of the rock genre being quite fierce and
aggressive. There are other smaller images such as an imageof what looks likea famous rock artistperformingat a
concert. The artistis shown to be screamingand playingelectric guitar which is synonymous to the genre of the
magazine and informs the reader that the artistwill haveinformation in the magazine. There areother images on the
contents page showingthings such as what looks likea rock band album cover which also informs thereader of
what’s inside.Within the contents page, the imagery is used more than text to indicatewhat is in this magazinewhich
also suggests how the target audiencemay be younger and informal as the reader may prefer to look at the images to
discover what’s insiderather than readingwriting.
Masthead:The masthead of this contents page is on the righthand sidewhich is not a usual placeas to where
the masthead would go, however, the text is bold and in capital letters and is surrounded by a big and black
circular shapeto make the bold, white writingmore eye catching. The shape around the writingshows white
marks which come across as itis worn out, or possibly scratch marks or broken glass which shows the aggression
of the genre of the magazine, which represents what the magazinewill haveinside.Underneath the masthead
there is also a headingwhich is in bold, red and white writing. This is eye catchingto the reader and would have
been placed underneath the masthead so that the reader will definitely seeitas it may be to give information to
the reader which may become important.
Text: The text of this contents
page tends to be bold and sans
serif to suggest informality.The
text is commonly black or
yellow, which are two different
types of colour,showing
informality again.Thereis a lot
of text within the contents a
which is shown by headings such
as ‘NEWS’ and then contents
shown in a listunderneath
which is easier for the reader to
find what they arelookingfor.
