- The respondent conducted a survey to inform the creation of their music video, receiving responses primarily from females aged 17-25.
- Results indicated a preference for narrative or performance-style videos in genres like pop, indie, and rock. However, dance and electronic genres were also mentioned.
- When asked directly, respondents indicated indie, rock, and pop as preferred genres for a music video, though some mentioned alternative and electronic/club genres.
- Overall, the survey provided useful insights but also had some biases due to the dominated demographic that responded. The respondent will consider a wide target audience when creating their music video.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Music VideoSurveyResponses
For my marketresearch inorderto create my musicvideo,Ihave useda primarysource by creating
my ownsurveyonsurveymonkey.comandsendingpeople the linksoquestionscouldbe answered
interms of genre andtypesof musicvideoswhichmyaudience wouldprefer.Majorityof the
informationwhichIhave gatheredwiththissurveywill be quantativedata. However, there are some
questionswhichwill containqualitive dataintermsof me askingmore abouttheiropinionsand
preferenceswithinamusicvideo.I’ve attemptedtovarythe age andgendergroupsto increase the
accuracy for my results.
Thisquestionwassimplyjustaskingpeople fortheirage.The optionswere‘Under16,’’17-25,’ and
‘Over25.’ Out of the 12 people whichhave answeredmysurvey,10out of 12 answeredthatthey
were aged17-25, the remaining2 people were over25. Thiswouldmake myoverall results
inaccurate due to majorityof people beingpartof the same age group.
2. Withthe genderquestion,again10 outof 12 people answeredthattheywere female.Thiscould
possible create aninaccuracywithinmyresultsasdifferentgendersmaypreferdifferentstylesof
musicvideos. However, afractionof 1/6 of the total resultswere male, whichmaybalance the
resultsslightly.

Only1 personskippedthisquestion,whowasalsointhe minority‘Over25’group.This would be
takenintoconsiderationwhenlookingintothe age groupof my potential targetaudience.
3. Thiswas a basic questiontosee howpopularmusicvideoscouldbe.Iaskedpeople how many
videosdotheywatchin a monthwiththe multiple answersof ‘0-2,’‘3-5,’and ‘over5.’ 50% of the
total resultsrevealedthatpeople watchedover5videosa month,revealingthata musicvideo

4. From myresults,Ilookedintoeveryvideo
and analysedthe genre andstyle of video, withitbeingcontextual, narrativeorperformance. So
that I couldgathera fairerresultonwhattype of videosmytargetaudience

5. One of the questionsinmysurveyaskedpeople whatformof musicvideotheyprefer, withitbeing
narrative,performance orcontextual.Ifoundthese resultsinterestingasover63% of the resultssaid
that people preferredperformance basedvideos.Whenlookingattheirpreferredmusicvideos,
however;the preferencesbetweenperformance basedvideosandnarrative videoswasmore orless
balanced. The personwhodidn’twatchmanymusicvideosskippedthisquestionalso,therefore only
11 out of 12 answered. The percentageof bothnarrative andcontextual videopreferenceswerethe
same.Althoughthatpeople chose performance style of videos, theseresultsmaybe inaccurate
whencomparingthemtothe lastquestion.The resultsof the lastquestionwouldbalanceoutthe
opinionsonmostpreferredstyleof videobetweenaperformance styleora narrative.
I foundthisparticularresultinterestingwhencomparingittomypast questionsasthese resultsmay
challenge the accuracy.Due to comparingresultsforthisquestiontomypast two,the results
become balancedthatpeople preferbothnarrative andperformance style of videos, ratherthan
contextual.
Thisquestionwasaskedforsimilarreasonstothe last
question.I’ve askedpeople whichmusicvideothatthey
preferredoutof the three options;‘GreenDay – Wake me
up whenSeptemberends,’‘Little Mix –Move,’and‘Miley
Cyrus– WreckingBall.’These 3specificvideoswereasked
due to the style of videowhichtheyall are;being
narrative,performance orcontextual.2out of 10 people
skippedthisquestion,possiblysuggestingthattheyhadn’t
seenanyvideos.However,6/10 people answeredthe
GreenDay video,whereas3/10answeredLittle Mix,and
the last personansweredwithMileyCyrus.
6. I askedinmy surveywhetherpeople thoughtthata musicvideoisimportant.11 outof 12 people
answeredthisquestionwithachoice of answersbetween‘yes,’‘no,’or‘sometimes.’ The majorityof
the vote (54.55%) consistedwithpeoplesayingthatamusicvideois‘sometimes’important.Only1
personsaidthat itwasn’t,and the restsaidthat it isimportant.Thismade me considerthatreasons
for a musicvideoonlysometimesbeingimportantcouldbe forreasonssuchas to reference the
meaningbehindthe song/songlyrics; ortopossiblytell anarrative, orshow the artistbehindthe
music.
7. Thisquestionwasaskedintermsof consideration
as whichartistswere popular,inconsiderationas
to whenlookingintowhatmusictouse.For this
question,Ithoughtof manydifferenttypesof
artists,as well asincludingan‘other’option,
where people couldspecifywhotheirfavourite
artistis. Thiswasalso a multiple choice question
so that people couldchoose more thanone
artist,makingthe resultsmore accurate.
Throughanalysingthe results,the mostpopular
artistwho waschosenwere ‘The 1975,’ with6
people preferringthem.5people chose ‘Imagine
Dragons,’followedby3 – 4 people preferring
artistssuch as ‘Ed Sheeran,’‘TaylorSwift,’‘One
Direction,’or‘Slipknot.’The restchoosingother
artists.
Withinthe ‘other’choice,people had written
that theirfavourite artistwere people suchas
‘JoyDivision,’‘PassionPit’and‘MajorLazar.’ I
foundthat thisresultwasinterestingand
juxtaposedwiththe restof the artistschosenas
althoughJoyDivisionwouldbe partof the
punk/rockgenre,whichisproventobe popular;
the otherartistsare more dance/electropop
artists.Thisshowsbalance inmy resultsasI
haven’tincludedmanydance oralternative
artistswithinmysurvey,howeverthisresult
showsthat the genre of musicis still quite
popular.
I foundthat myresultsmaybe slightlybiasedin
termsof the optionswhichIhave givenpeople to
choose, asmajorityof the artistsare part of the
popor indie genre.Although,Ihave included
some othergenressuchas ‘Slipknot,’beingheavy
metal,andotherrock artists.Thismade my
resultsinterestingas,althoughmajorityof the
artist’snamesincludedwere popartists,rock
artistssuch as Slipknotstill gotarespectable
percentage of the results,showingthatthisgenre
isalso popular.
8. To conclude myanalysisof the survey, myresultshave shownthatmajorityof people mayprefera
narrative or performance style of video, alongwiththe mostpreferredgenresbeingmainlypop,
indie orrock. However, the resultshave alsoleadme toconsiderothergenressuchas‘dance,’which
I hadn’tfullytakenintoconsiderationbefore thissurvey.Ihave chosenmyquestionstomake my
resultsmore accurate,intermsof similarityinquestionssuchasaskingabout preferredgenres,butI
have lookedmore intothisbyusingexamplesof artistsormusicvideos, sothatI couldanalyse my
resultsmore accuratelyandspecifically.However,althoughIhave beenspecificwithquestions,my
resultsmaystill be slightlybiasedintermsof the majorityof the people whohave answeredmy
questionnaire average outtobe female and17-25, possiblymakingthe resultsinaccurate asthe
answersare mainlyone age and gendergroup.Nevertheless, throughmyanalysis,Ihave lookedinto
the way that differentage andgendersmaypreferdifferentstylesof musicvideos.Usingmyresults,
I will be able tocreate my musicvideowhichwill fitintoawidertargetaudience, andhopefullywill
be suitable formajorityof age groupsand genders.
The final questionissimilartomypast questionto
considerwhichmusictouse for myvideo.This
questionwasaskingwhatwasthe most preferred
genre ina musicvideo.This,again,gave me
qualitive dataaspeople couldchoose more than
one option,makingthe resultsmore accurate.The
mostpopulargenre was‘Indie’gaining72.73%of
votes,followedby‘Rock’whichhas54.55%, then
‘pop’and ‘heavymetal’where3people chose these
genres.Withthe ‘other’category,people
mentionedhow theypreferredthe ‘alternative’
genre,or‘electronic/club,’whichwouldbalancethe
resultsincomparisontomy lastquestionwhere the
electronicgenre of artistswere mentioned.These
resultswouldleadme toconsiderchoosinga
populargenre of musicto use inmy musicvideo.
