2. Outline
• Introduction
• Activity1: Testing different kind of ice
• Activity 2: Hunting for composite
Material
• Activity 3: Exploring the different
between strength & stiffness
• Activity 4: Testing a foam composites
for strength & stiffness
• Design Project: Designing a fishing
pole
• Product Idea: The Unbreakable glass
3. Introduction
• Composite is a material made from two or more
constituent materials with significantly different
physical or chemical properties that when
combined produce a material with characteristics
different from the individual components.
4. Activity 1: Testing different kind of ice
• Objective: test water forcing when adding different
materials
• Result: Ice water Water with cotton
Brake quickly Take a long time until broke
5. Activity 2: Hunting for composite Material
• Objective: composite materials from real life
6. Activity 3: Exploring the different
between strength & stiffness
• Objective: test material strength & stiffness
• Results: Iron Pasta Rope
Strong and
flexible
Stiff and weak Flexible and
strong
7. Activity 4: Testing a foam composites for
strength & stiffness
• Objective: testing a foam
with support & without
• Results:
Without
support
With under
support
With up
support
With two
support
Its broke
quickly
Its take
some time
until broke
Its take

Not broken
9. Final Project: The unbreakable glass
Important of the subject : to enjoy the
beauty of the appearance and children
can use it on a daily basis and without risk
to the individual .
10. Hypothesis
• Because we saw a lot of the problems faced by the
Qatari society and the whole world especially the
kids thought this idea which we hope they benefit
the whole world, and I hope that the
implementation of this idea.
12. Results
• This product can be used in modern buildings to
take advantage of the sun energy and also in the
illuminations to withstand the heat can also use
this product in pots and household and cars and
finally it can be used for decoration.
13. Recommendations:
• I hop that this experience is applied to the many
benefits of the Qatari society and the whole world.
• I hope that you will take into account the experience
and I hope to be applied until it is utilized.
14. Conclusions
We conclude that the material is weak
and it need to add new material to be
more strong and suffer the pressure and
tension .
15. Acknowledgment
Many thanks to AL-Bairaq team from Center for
Advanced Materials (CAM), Qatar University for
supporting us during our journey with a AL-Bairaq.
Also, I would like to thank the sponsors UNESCO,
Qatar National Commission, Ras Gas, Maersk and
