Communication Breakdown By Mr. Krahn
1. Lifestyle If all communication technology were to break down, my lifestyle would change dramatically. I would no longer be able enjoy my favourite television programs.
1. Lifestyle I would probably have a lot more time to read!
2. Home My family lives in many different places: I live in Raymore. My parents live near Saskatoon. My brother lives in Prince Albert. My sister, brother-in-law, and baby niece live in Belize, Central America.
2. Home We use the web to communicate. Without telephones, Internet, or digital cameras, I’d never know what my niece looks like.
3. Community Instead of calling people or e-mailing people, we would probably stop by peoples’ houses more. It may be more enjoyable to visit people.
3. Community People who are sick or in danger rely on fast communication to so ambulances, fire fighters, police, and other public services can get to an emergency quickly.
4. World The Internet facilitates communication throughout the world. Without the Internet, it would take much longer to find out what is happening in other countries.
4. World The Internet has brought people together around the world.
The Worst Thing… For me, the worst thing about having no more communication technology would be that I could no longer communicate with friends and family in a quick and satisfying manner. It’s important to me that I can talk, chat, or e-mail with people in Belize, Japan, or other countries.
Most Importantly Communication technology helps us understand one another better. With more understanding, we can make the world a better place.
