Technology has significantly impacted communication in both positive and negative ways. It has improved communication by allowing people to connect across distances quickly and cheaply through email, video conferencing, mobile phones, and social media. However, overreliance on technology for communication has reduced face-to-face interaction and personal communication skills. While technology enables constant connection, it can also be distracting and addictive if not used properly. Younger generations in particular have grown up communicating largely through text, which some argue has harmed the development of interpersonal communication skills. Overall, technology has enhanced global connection and information sharing but also brings some risks if not implemented judiciously.
