2. Training Flying Imparted At Army Aviation School
Basic training flying imparted at Army Aviation School is the bed rock of Army Aviation. Officers
aspiring to become Aviators go through a professionally challenging basic Aviation course at Army
Aviation School. The basic flying is conducted on MFI 17 (Mushshak Aircraft), which is a small two
seater fixed wing monoplane. It is a rugged, versatile, and a very good basic trainer aircraft which
bears the brunt of all the follies of an ab initio Aviation student, including but not limited to hard

This water remains standing in the fields for a couple of months and increases the humidity index of
the region drastically. Then the Monsoon rains start lashing the area and further increase the humidity

air to hold water particles is manifolds as compared to cold winter season. The overall effect of all
these different physiographic factors is creation of a giant hot air bubble engulfing the area with a lot
of humidity trapped inside of it. These extreme physiographic conditions test the limits of man and

The MFI 17 aircraft is a small trainer aircraft with a piston engine that is air cooled. It has a limited
rated horsepower of 200 HP. There is no environment control (air condition) facility installed in the

conditions which affect its performance and maintenance. At the same time, the aerobatics phase also
starts. During the aerobatics phase, the aircraft and the pilot are subjected to G forces up to +5 Gs and

flying attitudes. Since, the aircraft is flown by under training pilots, therefore it is subjected to further

3. Kellogg s Failure Essay
Introduction
This project report talks about the reasons for the failure of Kellogg s in India and what strategies it
can take up in future to build itself as a brand in India.
Kellogg s created a new category of branded breakfast cereal products throughout the world. Over the
longer period of time, it has successfully been able to change eating habits of consumers and has
converted various nations as corn flakes eating nations. After capturing over 40% US s ready to eat
market in breakfast cereals alone, Kelloggs introduced its flagship products into Indian markets in
1994. India at that time has over 950 million inhabitants, 250 of whom were middle class.

Premium pricing policy
The competitive brands in the market were selling the similar product at 1/3rd price of Kellogg s and
hence Kellogg failed to attract price conscious Indian households. Even after losing its market share,
Kellogg s failed to understand the nuance of Indian market.
4. Wrong promotion
Kellogg in its initial advertisements questioned the nutrition quotient of Indian breakfast and
suggested that Indian food was not very good for health. This deeply offended the emotions of Indian
ladies who had been serving traditional breakfast for ages to their families.
5. Inadequate market research
Kellogg s executives overestimated the target segment of Indian market. They came with the figure of
950 million people as if everyone eats breakfast in Indian, everyone who eats breakfast would
potentially want to eat corn flakes. What Kellogg didn t know, as Homi Bhabha, director of Harvard s
Faculty of Arts and Sciences Humanities center stated at the time, was that Indians, rather like the
Chinese, think that to start the day with something cold, like cold milk on your cereal, is a shock to the
system. You start it with warm milk. Thus kellogg failed to provide the product that catered to Indian

An important technological advancement in the history of mankind was the invention of writing
language. Known as cuneiform at the time, its origination hailed from a place in southern
Mesopotamia called Sumer in 3500 3000 BCE. The process during its invention involved making
markings in wet clay with a reed like instrument. The reason for its invention was for the flourishment
of commerce. The Sumerians needed a way to communicate with merchants and customers from
between large expanses of land and sea. They used pictographs in order to scale the quantity of
resources required in the trade and represent different objects. To communicate ideas more complex

Finding out that the mother of your two year old boy have been stabbed your child to death what is the
protocol of this horrendous event? Well of course to divorce her, but to find information on how to
prevent this fatal form of abuse. There are many victims of abuse no matter what age they are it s a
terrible act, but children will remember throughout their life. The bad nights of the child constantly

7. Prayer Should Not Be Allowed In Public Schools
Not During School Hours What s the harm in an occasional spoken prayer at school every now and
then? Are times such as an assembly, sporting event, or graduation acceptable? The debate of prayer in
public schools has been an ongoing issue for over fifty years now. It seems like a simple yes or no
answer. As a Christian who attended a private school, my initial answer was a definite yes. I have
always believed that God should be present in every school all over the world mainly because my
school s activities were centered around prayer. However, after much research, I have found a
different point of view. Prayer should not be allowed in public schools due to the fact that these
schools consist of numerous religions, it is unconstitutional, and it creates different burdens for each
person in the school. Prayer should not be allowed in public schools because more than just Christians
attend these schools. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

pray while they are at school, but it is set that the school itself can t hold religious assemblies

8. Women s Status Of Inferiority
In pre Islamic societies, women were held in high regards as matriarchal communities widely existed.
Their biology, with its ability to reproduce, enabled women to be worshipped for they were the
principle of creating life; this fact opposed androcentric theories that state how the nature of women
dictated a status of inferiority (Ahmed 11). However, as many scholars and theorists have noted, the
decline of women s status in pre Islamic societies was likely from urbanization. As warfare increased
from city states expanding their territories, warrior culture generated male dominance, and the
reproductive capacity of women were looked to for providing labor power, making them be seen as
property (Ahmed 12). In many instances, the rise of urban societies negatively affected women as
Leila Ahmed stated in Women and Gender in Islam and as demonstrated in late Sumerian, Babylonian,
and Assyrian cultures. The complexities of these civilizations produced military competitiveness,
escalating the aspects of male dominance and classes that further demeaned women (Ahmed 12).
However, the rise of Islam rectified the unjust social constructs as women were given more
independence, being considered equals and companions to men. In 5000 to 3000 BC, the first city
states developed in southern Mesopotamia by the Sumerian people. This area was near the Tigris and
Euphrates rivers, both being water sources and factors that helped build civilization. As the Sumerians

9. The Minster s Black Veil Essay
In 1832, Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote a chilling, dark tale about a Puritan society that exposed their
hypocrisies called The Minster s Black Veil. The Puritans believed everyone was a sinner at birth.
Because of this they were unsure who was saved or were damned, and it led to them to start judging
others. In the story, Hawthorne starts to uncover the dark habits of the seemingly happy community;
by giving their pastor a black veil. When the pastor refuses to remove veil, the town is struck with
fear. The veil sends the whole community questioning their pastor s sanity, or if he committed a horrid
sin. The story highlights the Puritans belief that some are saved while others are damned, therefore,
they must separate the sinners and virtuous using the binaries light, dark, feminine, and masculine;
which comes together in the form of the veil. From the beginning, Hawthorne sets up a drastic contrast
between before and after the appearance of the veil. Hawthorne describes the town as bright and
cheerful: Children with bright faces, tript merrily beside their parents, or mimicked a graver gait, in
the conscious dignity of their Sunday clothes. Spruce bachelors ... Show more content on

A minster for the Puritans was an extremely important role in their society because religion was a
crucial aspect of their cultural. Their main goal in life is to achieve salvation by doing God s work.
Religious leaders are held to a higher standard by the community, even today. Due to this phenomenon
when Mr. Hooper starts wearing the black veil it is completely earth shattering to their community and
leaves them wondering what he could have done to want to hide. The Puritans idealize Mr. Hooper
and are uncertain if they can still do that. If they cannot idealize Mr. Hooper it leaves them with some
remaining questions who would replace Mr. Hooper; and would they be as

Police officers in recent years have been ordered to focus on suspicious individuals that may possibly
perform acts of terrorism, but how do they know for sure that this individual is a terrorist. Don t they
all resemble each other and we cannot single out an entire race because of their religious beliefs and
that fact that some individuals of those same beliefs chose to take a path of violence (Hanson, 2010).
What factors do these predators look for when choosing their hate crime victims? There are several
different factors such as the individuals race (do they resemble Arabs or Muslims), their clothing (are
they wearing religious attire), their head gear (are they wearing a head dress) and even their actions
and how they speak to other individuals. Some examples of these hate crimes are murder, beating,
arson, attacks on their religious mosques, verbal threats and even vehicle assaults. Hate crime
predators don t think of how they are affecting others lives but in essence are taking their anger out on
the individuals that they have linked to such a terrible and tragic event in history (Hanson, 2010).
After this event, it only took a matter of days for hate crimes to begin in the United States. In Gary,

13. The Split Horn Life Of A Hmong Culture Summary
In this documentary, The Split Horn Life of a Hmong Shaman in America focuses on the religious
containment of the Hmong people. Their rich history goes back to the time in a village in North East
Asia where they believed that the Shaman were the great healers for the sick. The Hmong were living
a peaceful life until the Vietnam war broke out and destroyed their village. Many of the Hmong
villagers fled their beloved homeland in order to seek refuge form the war. Many were fortunate
enough to find shelter in Thailand where they stayed for the majority of the conflict. Some were even
lucky enough to get a sponsorship to America. As they slowly came to America the Hmong were
worried that they might lose their religious roots to the American customs.
Some of the Hmong people had to learn English and how to read and write. In their village, they never
had to learn how to read or write because of their background and their religion. The Hmong people
feel that their culture and values still play a major role in their daily lives. Many Hmong communities
rely on the shamans for religious and spiritual support. Without the shamans, the Hmong culture
would be incomplete and slowly diminish.
The Hmong s believe in shamans. Shamans are religious specialists commonly found in small scale
egalitarian societies. They are believed to have the power to contact powerful cosmic beings directly

15. Essay on Utilitarianism
Utilitarianism
There are many essays, papers and books written on the concept of right and wrong. Philosophers
have theorized about moral actions for eons, one such philosopher is John Stuart Mill. In his book
Utilitarianism he tries to improve on the theories of utilitarianism from previous philosophers, as he is
a strong believer himself in the theory. In Mill s book he presents the ideology that there is another
branch on the utilitarian tree. This branch being called rule utilitarianism. Mill makes a distinction
between two different types of utilitarianism; act utilitarianism and rule utilitarianism. Rule
utilitarianism seems like a major advance over the simple theory of act utilitarianism. But for all its
added complexity, it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the instance when an individual steals from another individual for his/her own self happiness,
others in society cannot deem this to be justifiable, even if it may be more beneficial to the thief to
steal. Act utilitarianism does not guarantee the protection to the victim of theft in this example
because, it s more focused on the greatest happiness and not on the consequences for others happiness.
The greatest happiness may be given to either person in this situation depending on the stories of each
(i.e. the reason for thief). Therefore, the idea of right seems not to be absolute. Mill however,
recognizes this as a problem and introduces the theory of rule utilitarianism to compensate. Instead of
looking at the consequences of a particular act, rule utilitarianism determines the rightness of an act by
an alternative mean. That mean consists of first finding the best rule of conduct, this is done by
finding the values of the consequences that follow a particular rule; The best rule is the rule, which has
the greatest overall result of any given action. Hence, one must follow the actual rules of one s society.
To illustrate, one ought not to steal because it is societies laws. Solving the issue of not recognizing
the victims happiness due to the fact, according to Mill, that these laws are based on morally right
objectives. However, rule utilitarianism is just an impotent way around the problem presented by the

need and importance. Section II presents a brief literature survey on the methods and techniques that
were proposed so far for ROI based image compression, their limitation and focus on the importance
of this work. 3 Binary Plane Difference Coding This method can be applied in both modes (i) Lossless
and (ii) Lossy. The loss less compression technique is based on spatial domain of the image and they
are very much suitable for the compression of medical images. The Lossy Binary Plane technique
introduces little loss to achieve more compression rate. The Binary Plane Techniques are applied for
color images as well as for gray scale images. In all of the techniques the compressed file is
maintained in two parts. The first part is bit plane and second is data table. The bit plane is collection
of l s and 0 s to represent whether a pixel is repeated or not. The second part is data table, which holds
only the necessary pixel values. The bit plane and data table are merged into one file. To further
compress, another loss less technique Huffman coding is applied and final form of compressed file is
generated [14][15][16]. The main objective of this technique is to take advantage of repeated values in
consecutive pixels positions. For a set of repeated consecutive values only one value is retained. In the
Binary Plane

17. Franco Zefferelli s film Hamlet Essay example
Franco Zefferelli s film Hamlet
Franco Zefferelli s film, Hamlet, adapted from Shakespeare s text, Mel Gibson s Hamlet, struts and
frets his life in Denmark, convincing almost everyone that he is mad. The film bases the question of
whether or not Hamlet is actually insane almost solely on Gibson s acting interpretations, but
Zefferelli s editing choices assist in making the point that Hamlet is not insane, but either in a fog of
confusion and anger from his grief, or pretending to be mad to manipulate others.
In the film, the morning after Hamlet sees his father s ghost, there is a silent scene between Ophelia
and Hamlet. He appears to Ophelia, disheveled and obviously emotionally distressed. He seems to try

The play within a play succeeds at catching the conscience of the King (3.1.582). In the film, Hamlet
dances exultantly with the players and says to Horatio joyfully, I ll take the Ghost s word for a
thousand pound (3.2.263 4). Claudius reaction to the play of running out and then going to confession
makes Hamlet believe that Claudius did, in fact, murder King Hamlet. In the final two acts of the film,
Mel Gibson rarely descends into fits of rage and depression. Instead, he puts on the act of madness by
appearing playful or irrational around other characters to help him in the process of revenge.
Hamlet abuses Polonius assumption that Hamlet is mad by constantly behaving as such around him. In
the film, he appears disheveled, engages in wordplay, and even throws Polonius off a ladder. Mel
Gibson s acting choices make it clear that Hamlet is merely pretending because, as soon as Polonius is
out of sight, he usually has a ponderous soliloquy devoid of the mad mannerisms present with
Polonius. This manipulation is especially present in the scene in which Hamlet tells Ophelia that he
never loved her (3.1). In the film, Hamlet sees the king, queen, and Polonius run to hide and watch the
conversation. During the scene, Hamlet tells Ophelia sotto voce, I did love you once (3.1.116). Then,
he yells, I loved you not (3.1.119 120). Gibson s change in volume and tone of voice proves that he is

Art is a subjective medium of expression. Based on each person s experiences, beliefs, and feelings
they will create and also interpret art in different ways. Usually this will lead to a healthy discussion

23. Mishim A Life In Four Chapters
Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters is a film based on both the life of Yukio Mishima and three of the
books that he wrote during his career as an acclaimed Japanese author. The four books with stories
featured in the film are The Temple of the Golden Pavilion, Kyoko s House, and Runaway Horses.
The film uses several different stylistic devices to represent the shift in narrative from Mishima s life
to his stories, such as how flashbacks to his past are depicted in black and white, while the present day
and the stories from his novels are in color. Each story is also used to reflect a certain time or strongly
held belief in Mishima s life, such as how the protagonist in Runaway Horses is also obsessed with
returning Japan to its imperial past. The movie showcases several different characteristics of Japanese
culture, such as the importance of Kinkaku ji, the carrying of swords, and sexuality. Mishima: A Life
in Four Chapters was directed and primarily produced by Americans, including the famous George
Lucas serving as an executive producer. This could be surprising to some viewers because the film ...

Apple vs. The F.B.I.
On December 2, 2015, two shooters opened fire at holiday party, killing 14 people and injuring 22.
During a gun battle with law enforcement both shooters were killed. The Federal Bureau of
Investigation (F.B.I.) had recovered a locked and encrypted iPhone that was in the possession of one
of the shooters as part of the evidence. The F.B.I. was unable to access any data on the phone and so
they turned to Apple for assistance.
Apple willingly gave the F.B.I. all information they had available to them. Weeks later the F.B.I.
returned to ask Apple for assistance in unlocking the phone. The F.B.I. stated that they were unsure
whether or not there was any information pertinent to the investigation on the phone. Apple advised
the F.B.I. that they were unable to unlock the phone without the password and suggested that the F.B.I.
take the device back to the home of the suspect, plug it in and allow it to back up to the cloud.
The phone was owned by the county and was given to the suspect as a result of their employment with
the county. Prior to asking for Apple s assistance, the F.B.I. had instructed the county to reset the
iCloud password. As a result of this, Apple s suggestion to return the device to the home of the suspect
would not work as the device no longer had the correct iCloud password. Apple informed the F.B.I.
that the company could no longer assist the F.B.I. as they had no way of decrypting the iPhone.

One Health and Social Care Policy which I am going to critically review is the childhood obesity
policy. The 2010 2015 government policy: Obesity and Healthy Eating was updated in May 2015 and
states many ways for improvements to be made. The purpose of this policy is to try to reduce the
amount of unhealthy foods children eat in the UK.
A key factor of health in later life is childhood obesity. Childhood obesity is a medical condition
where excess body fat negatively affects a child s health or well being. Medical conditions are not the
only factor which causes children to be obese it is the parental/family influences as well. Family
influences on children are a huge factor because when children are younger they eat what the parent s

30. Vampires are Mythical Beings in Many Books
Vampires are known as mythical beings with white pale glittery skin that drain the essence of life
known as blood. As unbelievable as it sounds they actually did exist centuries ago. They weren t
anything like the vampires we see in movies, shows, books, and video games today. A vampire or
something analogous to it can be found in most culture and folklores going back to the beginning of
time, but it is a mistake to think they have familiar attributes of Count Dracula. The term vampire
appeared in literature since the 18th century. Vampires might be viewed as either blood sucking
creatures or sexy ones, but they represent much more than that. Vampires represent fear and contempt
of people with different beliefs. There exists no clear history of how vampires came to be. However,
one of the earliest mentions of vampires is the tale of Lilith, a prominent figure in some Jewish texts.
According to most accounts, Lilith was the original woman created by God for Adam. Lilith knew that
she came from the same place as Adam and so was not subservient to him. She left the Garden of
Eden and began having her own children. God sent his angels in an attempt to bring her back to Eden,
but she refused. When Lilith went to the Red Sea she made a deal with the angels who had been sent
to fetch her back for Adam. She was allowed to stay on her own, but as a monster. The angels,
nevertheless began killing Lilith s kids. In turn, she killed human children, seeking revenge (The

Montreal plans to shut down a pipe, which feeds water from the sewers into a treatment plant.
Therefore the city s strategy is to dump the eight billion liters of raw sewage into the St Lawrence

communities downstream, and it will also damage the river s ecosystem. In brief that scheme has
several negative impacts on the river s ecosystem and the city should invest in alternative procedures.

The fish rely on chemical cues to help it survive, such as finding food, shelter, detecting and avoiding
predators. On the other hand, the city s spokesman Philippe Sabourin, says that the contamination is
not a big concern due to the sheer size of the river and how quickly it flows at a rate of 6,000 to 7,000
cubic meters a second, compared to the flow rate of the wastewater, expected to be 13 cubic meters a
second [2]. However, it would be devastating if the city proceeds with their plan since the chemical

wastewater there are oxygen consuming materials, which needs to be minimized to protect from low
dissolved oxygen conditions since it can be harmful to aquatic species [4]. Many nutrients found in
wastewater, such as nitrogen and phosphorus must be removed to prevent high level of nutrients,
which can cause the ecosystem to have hypoxia and the increase of pollutants in the waterways [4].

Unemployment skyrocketed up to its peak of nearly twenty five percent of the population. Added to
this was the series of dust storms terrorizing the mid west. These storms destroyed most crops and left
farmers destitute and homeless. This resulted in a mass migration of mid western farmers moving west

Newly elected President Roosevelt began immediately to put programs into affect, which would halt

Cuban Missle Crisis
Many agree that the Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the world ever came to nuclear war; but
exactly how close did it come? The Crisis was ultimately a showdown between the United States and
the Soviet Union from October 16 to October 28, 1962. During those thirteen stressful days, the world
s two biggest superpowers stood on the brink of a nuclear catastrophe. The Crisis started as a result of
both the Soviet Union s fear of losing the arms race, and Cuba s fear of US invasion. The Soviet

did, in fact, have more missiles than the Soviet Union. What worried Khrushchev the most, though,
was that the Soviet missiles were only powerful enough to be launched against Europe, but the US
missiles were capable of striking the entire Soviet Union. He worried that if the Soviet Union lost the
arms race that badly, it would invite a nuclear attack from the US. Khrushchev needed a way to
counter the United State s lead. (May 49) In April of 1962, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev came up
with the idea of installing medium range missiles in Cuba. Cuba was close enough to the United States
that the Soviet missiles would be an effective deterrent to a potential US attack against either the
Soviet Union or Cuba. Castro accepted Khrushchev s offer, since it would protect Cuba and, therefore,
solve Castro s previous dilemma. In mid July of 1962, the Soviet Union began its buildup of offensive
weapons in Cuba. The Soviets spent most of the late summer and early fall of 1962 ferrying launch
equipment and personnel necessary for the preparation of missiles to Cuba. Since they could not use
military ships (for fear of being discovered) the Soviets used civilian vessels. However, even with this
caution, their actions were detected. As the US monitored the suddenly increased shipping activity to
Cuba, rumors started in Washington. On August 10, John McCone, director of the CIA, sent the

43. How Does Harry Tttle Use Dark Humor In Brazil
Dr. Strangelove and Brazil both portray the future, while also adding humor to the plot. These movies
are futuristic, but more like dystopia movies in my opinion. These movies use dark humor to get their
point across. Dark humor is a delicate balancing act expertly courting elements of comedy and woe

who frequently bomb and terrorize the city state. In the beginning of the movie, a fly gets into a tele
printer and changes up the last name of Harry Tuttle to Harry Buttle. Harry Tuttle is a handyman who
illegally works on air condition units. While setting up Christmas decorations with his family, Harry
Buttle is arrested instead of Tuttle. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
