No2 Compare And Contrast Essay
This report will compare and contrast the characteristics and roles of nitrogen dioxide and carbon
monoxide in the atmosphere and their relation to human activity and health. Three main missions,
Ozone Monitoring Instrument, Measurement of Pollution in the Troposphere, and Atmosphere
Infrared Sounder, pertinent to this study are included. These missions are also compared and
contrasted to each other, similar to the two gasses that are the focus of this report. Concerning the
gasses, NO2 will be thoroughly discussed. What it is, how it forms and its relation to human activity
are also encompassed. In addition to this topics, whether or not NO2 s effects are local and global and
the reason it is being studied are conversed. The topics ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
OMI
Ozone Monitoring Instrument, or OMI, is a mission formed in coalition with the Netherland s Agency
for Agency for Aerospace Programs, or NIVR, and Finnish Meteorological Institute, FMI to help with
the EOS Aura mission. It will aid in recording total ozone measurements and other fields related to
this topic. The instruments employed on OMI consist of hyperspectral imaging in a push broom mode
to observe the solar backscatter radiation. This hyperspectral component greatly strengthens the
accuracy and precision of the ozone data collected. It also allows for pinpoint radiometric and
wavelength auto calibration over the mission timeline. The Earth, as a whole, will be viewed using
740 wavelength bands with a swath that is large enough to gain full coverage in 14 orbits, or one day
(Dunbar, 2005).
MOPITT
Measurement of Pollution in the Troposphere (MOPITT) is an instrument designed to observe the
lower atmosphere and observe how it interacts with the hydrosphere, biosphere, and geosphere. It
focuses specifically on carbon monoxide and methane in the troposphere, the sinks, sources, transport,
and distribution. It can measure the concentration of carbon monoxide and methane from a vertical
column of 5 km. This allows MOPITT to track the origin of the gas. MOPITT is the first satellite
sensor to utilize has correlation spectroscopy. These sensors detect produced and reflected

Comparison of Charge of the Light Brigade and Green Beret
The Charge of the Light Brigade is about an army of six hundred men on horseback going into war
without a say on whether they want to or not.
The poem is structured into six stanzas and the rhyming scheme is
A,B,C,B,D,E,C,B. Someone in charge had blunder d and called out orders for six hundred British
Calvary to storm a full Russian battalion Suddenly they were surrounded;
Cannon to the right of them
Cannon to the left of them
Cannon in front of them
As they tried to get through the enemy line a lot of the Light Brigade died, but some of them survived

It is a loosely structured poem divided into three stanzas of varying lengths. The poem is also written
in free verse. Green Beret threatens to kill the boy s father if he does not say where the Vietcong are;

That is one minute to tell where the Vietcong are or his father gets shot. The boy does not say a word
by the time that was requested by green beret so he ordered the boy s father to get shot. As the gun
shot shatters through the forest the boy crouches down and starts to cry.
One mercenary then goes over to Green Beret and says to him
he didn t know a damn thing
we killed the old guy for nothing
At that time the mercenary didn t know how wrong he was because the boy knew all there was to
know about the Vietcong. The caves, the trails, the hidden places and all the names.
Green Berets use of direct speech and its narrative structure produce a very focused poem. It is direct
and hard hitting, unlike Tennyson s, which is more romantic, honourable view of war.
There are a few similarities and differences throughout both poems one of them is Charge of The

Life and Legacy of Napoleon Bonaparte
Napoleon Bonaparte was born on August, 15th, 1769 on Ajaccio, Corsica he was named after an
Egyptian religious figure. He was born on a couch in the living room of his parents home during the
feast of the Assumption. The French defeated the island of Corsica only three months after Bonaparte
s birth. Bonaparte would later devote his youth hating and despising the French. The Bonaparte family
was considered Corsican aristocrats, however they were not wealthy compared to French nobles. Due
to having such a large family they struggled to get by. Letizia Napoleon s mother was strict and
serious woman; she would punish her 8 children to instill the importance of discipline and sacrifice.
Letizia was very religious; she attended church every day. She forced her religion on Napoleon by
making him attend mass every Sunday. Napoleon said She sometimes made me go to bed without
supper, as if there was nothing to eat in the house. One had to learn to suffer and not let other see it.
His mother s lessons helped make him a strong man. After Corsica s defeat Bonaparte s twenty three

Animal Testing and Researching Essay
Animal Testing and Researching
Animal testing is supported by some, but opposed to others. The growing number of animals used in
research differs among the different countries. The fruit fly and nematode are the most used animal in
testing. However, the most common mammals used in animal research are mice and rats. Shaved
albino rabbits and guinea pigs suffer severe testing for skin irritancy and eye irritancy. Though the
usage of non human primates are outlawed in some countries, the U.S. still finds the need to use them.
The U.S. government uses tax dollars for testing pesticides and flourine products on animals.
Animal testing has been a subject of controversy throughout the years. Though it may seem like a ?

These small rodents are easy to handle and raise, thus used in large proportions. Mice and rats can be
tested for various results. Since mice share ninety nine percent of their genes with humans, believe it
or not, they are considered the ?prime model of inherited human disease?. In addition to genetics, rats
and mice are used to understand how different organisms interact with each other in the same
environment. (Wikipedia) They are used for the study of human cancers and testing of new treatments
because of its immunodeficiency status, allowing human tumors to be grafted on without rejection.
(UCCA) Some rats are even used for studies of brain function, commonly memory and social
behavior. The safety of drugs, vaccines, chemicals, and products are also tested on mice. (Wikipedia)
Though rats may seem like the most popular lab animal, the most animals used in testing are actually
invertebrates, especially the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, and the nematode, Caeharbabditis
elegans. These, like rats, are very cost efficient and can be studied in a large number. Their short life
cycle also makes it convenient for genetic studies. Many invertebrate species are not protected under
animal research legislation, so the number of invertebrates used in research is unknown. (Wikipedia)
Shaved albino rabbits and guinea pigs are generally used for skin irritancy testing. Though test tests

Mark Edmundson And Paulo Freire
Although Mark Edmundson and Paulo Freire believe that a higher form of education such as, a
stronger teaching ethics, deeper understanding, and more passionate students is needed to correct the
issues at hand. In their essay they both adopt a different style to present tis idea. Paulo Freire wants the
individual to form himself rather than be formed. To this end, he proposes that educational topics or
opportunities be taken from the daily experience the individual constantly encounters and avoid the
current educational pitfall of resorting to artificial experiences. While, Edmundson is trying to show
how education has change due to the leak of consumerism into universities. Edmundson acknowledge
his own conformity and promise to change back to what he thinks will make a good class and
challenge his students to think on another level.
Paulo Freire dwells on the idea that a teacher s task is to simplify fill a student s mind. He describes
the banking concept as a habitual learning process where the teachers oppress the knowledge that they
considered important on the student by supplying the student with the material and not given them the
opportunity to question the material presented. Freire states; that In the banking concept of education,
knowledge is a gift bestowed by those who considered themselves knowledgeable upon those whom
they considered to know nothing. Projecting an absolute ignorance onto others, a characteristic of the
ideology of oppression, negates

Life s in the Mexican Military during the 1830 s
Being the the Mexican Military in the 1830 s was certainly not the best job in the world, especially if
you were forcefully put into the ranks. There were a lot of things happening in Mexico. There s a lot
of rebellions, poor treatment as well as a war with Texas. Therefore with all of this, you can definitely
tell that it wasn t a great job.
The Mexican Military was a tough job, and most of the time, it wasn t even a choice. Being in the

Emily Dickinson 409 Analysis
Emily Dickinson is one of the most influential figures in American literature. Her unusual character
and style has made her become one of America s best and most original poets of all time. She
composed almost 1800 poems, but fewer than a dozen were published in her lifetime. In her poems,
she expresses her feelings about identity, religion, nature, love, and death. Her poems tell us a lot
about her lifestyle, which was very private and reserved from society. In poems 260 and 409 it talks
about the theme of identity. Although they consist of the same theme, there are differences in meaning,
tone, and narration.
Emily Dickinson demonstrates how identity is something she envies as reflected in poem 260. This
poem talks about how an individual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

clear that she understood the different ways that an individual figure themselves out. The tone of the
poem is a bit more mysterious and intimidating in some ways and definitely shows the value of
individuality and identity together.
Identity is a common theme in both poems that are discussed above. Although this is the case, the way
that identity is conveyed is completely different. Poem 290 takes a playful tone whereas the tone of

Flight 751 Research Papers
Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) Flight 751 landed at Stockholm/Arlanda Airport I on 26
December, 1991, at 2209 hours. Little did they know, within 24 hours that would be the last time it
would land at an airport. The plane landed on a slush covered filled after it had snowed at the airport.
Upon landing, the wings still had roughly 2,550 kilograms of fuel left in each of them. There the plane
sat at a gate and at around 0200 hours on 27 December, 1991, a flight technician had finished
inspecting the airplane and had noted that ice had formed on upper portion of the wings.
By morning it was noted by a technician at 0730 hours that frost was found on the underside of the
wing, but after inspection of the upper wing he could not see any ice formed on it. It would later be
found out that there was indeed ice on it, but not a kind that is completely visible, and the ice that was
found on the wing was in fact clear ice. The reason this ice likely formed on the wing was due to fuel
being left in the wings overnight where the temperature within it was 20° C. Alongside that it had
snowed overnight while the plane sat, which made ice and slush build up on the wings. Which
amounted to nearly 10 inches of slush on top of the wings, in the morning.

Goals Of The Underground Railroad
What was the Underground Railroad? The underground railroad was not underground, or a railroad, it
was named this because the activities that happened had to take place in the dark or in disguise.
Routes were lines, stopping places were stations, and the ones who aided on the way were conductors.
The underground operations relied heavily on secret codes to tell passengers when it was safe to travel
and when it wasn t safe to travel. The most active members who helped the railroad were people of the
freed slave community such as Harriet Tubman. The different lines of the routes extended in several
directions throughout 14 northern states and the Promised Land of canada. Typically, enslaved African
Americans who left plantations and cities in Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland,
Missouri, and Virginia were more likely to take refuge in the northern states, Canada and Western
Territories. Those who lived in the deep south often found freedom by escaping into Mexico and the
Caribbean. The Underground railroad was a system which existed in the Northern states before the
civil War that helped slaves escape. Slaves from the south were helped by sympathetic Northerners.
The ultimate goal of the underground railroad was to get slaves to a place of safety and freedom states
in the north and in canada. The closest the railroad ever came to being fully organized was in the 1830
s when abolitionists William Still, Robert Purvis, David Ruggles, and several others

Simple Random Sampling
3.1 INTRODUCTION
Everyone mentions simple random sampling, but few use this method for population based surveys.
Rapid surveys are no exception, since they too use a more complex sampling scheme. So why should
we be concerned with simple random sampling? The main reason is to learn the theory of sampling.
Simple random sampling is the basic selection process of sampling and is easiest to understand. If
everyone in a population could be included in a survey, the analysis featured in this book would be
very simple. The average value for equal interval and binomial variables, respectively, could easily be
derived using ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Three of the nine addicts are now infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). To be
derived are the proportion who are HIV infected (a binomial variable), the mean number of
intravenous injections (IV) and shared IV injections during the past two weeks (both equal interval
variables), and the proportion of total IV injections that were shared with other addicts. This latter
proportion is a ratio of two variables and, as you will learn, is termed a ratio estimator. Figure 3 3 The
total population of nine drug addicts is seen in Figure 3 3. Names of the nine male addicts are listed
below each figure. The three who are infected with HIV are shown as cross hatched figures. Each has
intravenously injected a narcotic drug eight or more times during the past two weeks. The number of
injections is shown in the white box at the midpoint of each addict. With one exception, some of the
intravenous injections were shared with other addicts; the exact number is shown in Figure 3 3 as a
white number in a black circle. Our intention is to sample three addicts from the population of nine,
assuming that the entire population cannot be studied. To provide an unbiased view of the population,

The Religious Symbolism and Architecture of Angkor Wat and...
Introduction
Built by the Khmers between 802 and 1220 AD, the ancient temples of Angkor Wat exist as the
remaining relics of a historically and religiously rich city. While many other historical and religious
structures in Cambodia have disappeared due in part from being constructed out of vulnerable
materials like wood, Angkor Wat still remains as a symbol of the divinity of its former kings, as well
as for the palace itself. Likewise, Indonesia s Borodubur temples exist as the single remaining
structures of the city. The temples of Angkor Wat and Borodubur hold several similarities within
architecture and symbolism, both being heavily based on religious belief. However, different features

Decorative elements through out the towers and galleries present their own characteristics and fulfill
specific needs within the temple. The towers are formed into the shape of the ever popular lotus buds,
and the galleries are used to expand the many passageways of the temple. Also, the axial galleries
within the temple are used to connect several enclosures. Characteristic decorative components of
Angkor Wat include narrative and historical bas reliefs, pediments, and devatas. The bas reliefs
located in the gallery of Angkor Wat holds a special signification for Angkor Wat. The gallery displays
heaven and the underworld in which garudas and lions are holding the celestial palaces. These gerudas
indicate that the palaces were floating in heaven, comparing Angkor Wat to the palaces of the Gods.
This display furthers the idea that Angkor Wat acts as a liason between the world of Heaven and Earth.
Because the palace physically remains on earth but spiritually resides within heaven, the palace acts as
communal place for believers to gather.
The bas reliefs and pictures did not only serve to decorate the palaces, or depict stories of the past.
They hold the important task of transforming the palace into a celestial dwelling or heavenly place.
Further evidence to support this notion is

Simon As A Christ Figure Analysis
The Christ Figure
A Christ figure could be interpreted as an individual that is a manifestation or delegation of Jesus
Christ. It is apparent to distinguish a Christ like human from someone of common characteristics by
their alluring behavior. For instance, one could define this feature using appearance, personality, and
attitude. The Lord of the Flies is a novel that opens up with a plane departing a group of schoolboys
from Britain that had been shot down over a desolate island. Britain had been in the depths of a war
and these school kids go to extreme in means of survival. Initially, the boys relished the idea of not
having any adults with them until they had realized they could not possibly live without them for long.
Simon, one of the schoolboys on the island, was introduced as a spiritual, kind hearted
kid.Acknowledging he possess these components, Simon appears detached from the rest of the boys.
This essay will demonstrate how the novel portrays Simon as a Christ Figure by the way he performs
on the island, such as his seclusion and peaceful nature, his appearance, his actions towards the boys,
and his death.
Simon primarily is isolated from all that is occurring on the island. He portrays himself as one of the
sane boys considering the rest had exposed savage like demeanor from remaining on the island for an
extended amount of time. Simon paused. He looked over his shoulder as Jack had done at the close
ways behind him and glanced swiftly round to confirm

Harmonization Of International Patent Law
Today, business often crosses the boundaries and thus inventors are required to protect their inventions
in the countries where they wish to operate. Patent systems of different countries are different and this
creates much problem. They are often very reluctant to do business in countries where protection is
very less or almost nil for their invention. Thus, neither inventor nor the countries enjoy the benefit of
patent. If we examine rules of different countries then many differences can be found but at the same
time many similarities can also be traced out. However, by effort and cooperation many of these
differences can be minimized. Harmonization is considered as a tool for minimizing these differences
of patent system of different countries.
The term harmonization can be defined in many ways. In its narrow sense, it can be defined as,
countries negotiating agreement to follow the same substantive regulation . Hansson has given a
broader definition of harmonization as the coordination of economic policy actions and measures in
order to reduce international differences in such actions.
Harmonization of international patent law means creation of uniform patent laws around the world. It
can be said that it means the patent rules which are streamlined and made equal in all national and
regional patent system. Thus, we can say that the term harmonization is a very broad concept and
includes every measure to bring patent system of different countries together so

Differences Between A Prayer For Owen Meany
A Prayer For Owen Meany vs. Simon Birch Simon Birch is a movie inspired by the book A Prayer for
Owen Meany written by John Irving. I say inspired because the overall plot of the movie is so
different from the book, that John Irving had to ask the director to change the names of the characters
and other characteristics of the story. Even though the movie is supposed to be somewhat different
from the book, the director was not able to portray many recurring themes of the novel that many
readers, including myself, enjoyed. Therefore, I believe that it is a good movie, but for the people that
have never read the book. Like I said before, there are major differences between these two. Some are
very visible; the names of the characters. There are others that even though are minor, they are
completely unnecessary. This minor differences are small details that we remember from the book,
and we were expecting to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the book, the armadillo, the dressmaker s dummy, and the armless statue of Mary Magdalene were
very important. They represented how Owen s arms were God s instrument . In the movie, however,
the armadillo and the dummy are just there; they do not mean anything. The director did not include
the themes of the story that I enjoyed the most. Instead, they added events to the movie that never
happened in the book, and some of the events that occurred in the book, never occurred in the movie.
For instance, in the novel, Owen dies a lieutenant, and in the movie, he dies as a boy. Also, in the
movie, Simon speaks out loud during Mass and gets punished by the reverend. This never happened in
the novel. I liked that the movie shows how powerful Owen and John s friendship was; you could
really tell they cared about each other. I also enjoyed that they emphasized that Owen was the reason
why Johnny believed in God. Faith took a major role in the book, and this theme was also included in

Assessment Is The Learning Of Our Students
Assessment is defined by the Merriam Webster dictionary as The act of making a judgment about
something. In a school environment, the judgment, of course, is the learning of our students. Are they
learning the material? What do they currently understand? Are they meeting the standard? Have the
learning objectives been met? Do they understand what has been taught thus far? Students are
constantly being assessed. They are assessed prior to a learning activity in order to provide a basis for
planning. They are informally assessed throughout the learning process for the purpose of adjusting
the lesson. They are formally assessed at the end of a lesson to ensure that the necessary objectives
have been learned. They are assessed at points throughout the school year to gauge if they are each on
the same level as their peers and in overall knowledge, as well as using these assessments to provide
the tools to measure the effectiveness of the school, curriculum, and/or teacher. Assessment is indeed
valuable for a number of reasons and from a number of vantage points.
Beginning with a pre assessment, this is intended to see where student knowledge currently is at. This
helps to make a basis for what is needed to be taught. If there is a lack of background knowledge, then
it will need to be introduced prior to teaching the content, or possibly as extra information added while
teaching. If it immediately becomes clear that students are already familiar with all or most of the

The theme of the book The Crown of Midnight is to stand up for what you believe in. All of the
character s stand up for what they believe in, even when they know it might not be accepted. Celeana,
Chaol, and Dorian all make a fight for what they think is right. Throughout the book, Celeana, the

King goes against her ideas, and Celeana is forced to make difficult decisions. She is supposed to be

The Types Of Terrorism As Well As Types That Fill Our Society
Justin Smith
SRA 211
Midterm
There are many definitions of terrorism as well as types that fill our society. The individual definitions
are different from each other because people grow up in different cultures and form different opinions;
however, more organized are the different types of terrorism because they are grouped with similar
topics.
Religious Secular Religious terrorism is the act of terrorism that is done for a religious purpose or for
a divine cause. This type of terrorism is often associated with the groups of people that are willing to
die for a specific cause and/or religion in attempt to earn religious benefits after death. Secular
terrorism uses political topics to rally a group of people and their actions often ... Show more content

Common examples are school or event shootings or bombings. These terroristic acts can be the most
devastating because the media will cover what happens and the psychological effect will spread to
another who follows the media. Suicide other The act of a suicide attack takes some elements from
other types and can coincide with them. The basic principle of a suicide attack is to go into a plan in
which the ultimate goal is to die for a cause. Most common is the suicide bombing in which people
attach bombs to themselves and go into an area with only one goal, cause mass destruction and ending
their life.
State Sponsored other The act of State Sponsored terrorism is when an organization that attempts acts
of terrorism is fueled, funded, supported by a state. These acts of terrorism may be the scheming of a
government; however, the government does not want to be directly doing the activity. Sometimes
government agents are directly in charge of these acts of terrorism. Often governments use this type of
terrorism to start a war, sway politics/debates, gain advantage, or make money.

Media And Stereotyping On Gender Stereotypes
Several advertisements in the set of stimuli for these interviews inspired reactions which resonate with
this courtship theme. All three informants became emotionally involved in these ads, able to self
project to a tremendous degree and to create imaginative stories about the people portrayed in the ads.
Also importantly, the role portrayals of women in these ads were never seen by any of the informants
as sexist or inappropriate, contrary to the researcher s own introspection.

It was about time someone addressed the phrase like a girl . It s full of negativity and perpetuates the
stereotype that the way women do things is inferior to the way men do them. So, hold high the foam

conviction, like a meaty advertising linebacker. Touch down.

For the first interview, the advertisements were initially presented as a holistic set to encourage
comparisons among the ads, and then each ad was discussed individually. As this process was rather
cumbersome and resulted in tremendous repetition, for the second interview each ad was discussed
only individually. Often, however, this individual presentation did not directly encourage informants
to comment on gender in the ads. In the final interview, the researcher clustered the ads into groups of
twos or threes that facilitated direct comparisons

For all what Levi had gone through must be the scariest experience. It started off from Levi s life how
he was pursuing his career as a Chemist, then all of the sudden, Germans just had to take over Italy

unbelievable to think about before time of Holocaust, Germans and all only do is just kill people, force

The business model of a traditional textbook noticed that they needed growth to keep up in the
competing market so traditional textbook companies began to innovate from just a traditional textbook

Also competition of substitute products such as rent textbooks, used textbook and etextbook that
almost over shadowed the traditional textbook companies business. Of the five forces of competition I
believe that the competitive pressures associated among rival sellers in the industry is the strongest. I

The factors that are driving change the textbook industry are the amount of technology that is used

McGraw Hill Connect and the Learn Smart.

Unit 12 P2: Explain the impact of organisational policies and procedures on the provision of technical
support
In this document I will be explaining the impact of organisational policies and procedures on the
provision of technical support.
In the modern world, IT Support is a major factor which is necessary in order to progress and function
properly. In big organisations, tech Support departments work tirelessly every day to provide quick
and effective support for users with faults. There are however factors which impact the provision of
technical support, these factors are:
Organisational guidelines
Service level agreements (SLA)

Sensitivity of information
Organisational constraints

The provision of IT Support will be impacted by the costs of resources required as the organisation
may not be able to afford to hire staff and hardware required thus having to hire external IT Support. If
the organisation doesn t have either an internal or external IT Support (or the organisation is large and
has a small tech support department), the organisation will not function properly and may face many
issues thus the provision of IT Support will be limited.
Another impact of organisational constraints on the provision of IT Support is the licensing and cost of
software. The internal IT Support will need to purchase software licenses in order to provide the
support to users. Some software licenses for software like fault logging and VNC are expensive. If the
organisation cannot provide funding for the software licenses to be purchased, the IT Support will
need to use alternative methods and this will definitively impact the provision of IT Support.

Nuba Wrestling, The Original Art
*Pankration* According to Nigel Binns, in his book Nuba Wrestling, the original art he speaks of the
Greecian art of wrestling boxing called Pankration, which was originally an art form from Africa (It is
similar to Nuba Wrestling mixed with Hausa Boxing) and that the Greeks adopted it as their own.
Nigel noted, their style of wrestling called Pankration is said to derive its name from two ancient
Egyptian gods; Ra and Aton. Therefore Pan Ra Aton/ or Pankration meaning all powerful God, or
spirit.
He also makes mention that the name Greece is from Africa Ni grecia (Land of Blacks) and that the

The Greek Philosopher Socrates
The Greek Philosopher Socrates once famously stated in his trial, The unexamined life is not worth
living . He was charged with impiety and corruption of the youth, and said trial was recorded by Plato.
Yet he was not an evil man. He was an axial thinker, seeking truth over wisdom, and virtue over
knowledge. He encouraged others to examine life, and constantly question what the people believed to
be true. Socrates came of age in 5th Century B.C.E Greece. The Grecians had proven themselves
victorious over the Persians, and Athens, the strongest city state in Greece, and was thrusted into an
axial transformation. Athenians sought to gain knowledge of the controlled aspects of life; Such as
why and how humans do the things they do. Athens prided itself on this axial way, of which their
prized possession, democracy, was born. Yet this transformation was brought to an abrupt halt by the
Peloponnesian Wars. Athens grew fearful that Sparta would threaten their growth, and instead halted
their own transformation by throwing themselves into the Peloponnesian Wars. Athens suffered defeat
at the hands of Sparta, in which they lost everything they found dear, and Athens was thrown into an
axial dark age. Yet, Socrates was out of his times, and refused to change. To a generation of Athenians
who needed certainty most, he brought about uncertainty and fear. Tragically ironic, he believed that
questioning life was the only way to live, but it evidently brought about his death.
Yet, his

The Aztecs And The Aztec Civilization
The Aztecs had one of the most successful and advanced empires of all time. They had a dwelling
culture The Aztec civilization was located directly in the middle of two mountain ranges in the central
valley of Mexico ( Platt 10). Although the Aztec empire eventually came to an end they were able to
do well as an empire. Contributing factors that led to the rise of the empire was their political
structure, social components, and religious traditions which they preformed earnestly.
The Aztecs were one of the last tribes to arrive in Mexico, in 1195 CE, when they arrived in the Valley
of Mexico other tribes had taken the best land so the Aztecs were left with the swampy shores. They
soon adapted and began to conquer their neighboring tribes. They continued to expand until they had
their very own empire. The empire continued to thrive, until the Spanish arrived and had a fixed mind
set on wanting the empires region of land. Although Social classes made a significant contribution to
the culture, by organizing and controlling the people, there were ways for movement between classes.
Aztecs had three main social classes which included the nobility, commoner, and slaves. Children
were born into their classes, however on rare occasion children who had some high level of skill could
rise above their parent s social status ( Society. Great Empires of the Past Online. Infobase Publishing.

The National Hockey League Of Sun Belt Cities
Introduction
On August 8th, 1988 Wayne Gretzky gave a tearful farewell to Edmonton after being traded to the Los
Angeles Kings. The Gretzky trade had effects beyond the two teams. The landscape of the National
Hockey League changed in the years following the Gretzky trade. Ten years after the trade Anaheim,
Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, San Jose, and Tampa were awarded NHL franchises. The National Hockey
League s southern expansion was partially driven by the attendance increase the Los Angeles Kings
experienced after the Gretzky trade. The goal of this essay is to determine what drives attendance in
Sun Belt cities. Our study should interest sports economists in academia and National Hockey league
executives who make decisions on the league s product placement. Team attendance is the dependent
variable in the model and eleven independent variables were run in two different regressions. The first
regression run was a Least Squares regression and the second was a time series regression. The time
series regression was necessary to run since the results of the Least Squares regression may have been
biased. The time series regression reveled two important conclusions. First, winning a championship
had a positive and statistically significant impact on attendance in southern cities. Second, the time
series regression illustrated that each city has special characteristics driving attendance that we cannot
measure. This essay I will review other research papers on attendance at sporting

Is there a relationship between rising US unemployment and the rise of the Canadian dollar?
Canada s financial stability depends on the health of America s economy, as international trade
accounts for 45% of Canada s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 79% of exports are to the United
States. Canadian and American unemployment rates are positively correlated for that reason, as
exemplified in early 2009. Canada s unemployment rate quickly steepened as the United States rate

to 0% and Canada s rate is at 1% as determined by the Bank of Canada. Low interest rates indicate
that the US is in poor financial health. More countries will want to invest in Canada if the US is in a
risky financial situation and additionally, provides low returns. The value of the Canadian dollar rises
when demand increases.
Due to America s increasing government debt and declining interest rates, Canada s economy is
comparatively more stable. Canada s credit rating is currently higher than America s. A credit rating
indicates the financial health of a country and how large the risk is for lenders to invest. Standard and
Poor s, a credit rating agency, currently downgraded America s rating to AA+ from the highest score
of AAA. The downgrade was a result of the U.S. s increasing debt from the recession. Canada s credit
rating is still the highest at triple A because of the country s stability. Canada is more attractive to
invest in, as there are solid returns on the interest rates and low risk for lenders. Increased demand in
Canadian assets can result in a higher exchange rate. Investors want to put money into a country
where they believe it is a safe haven.

Identity And Identity In Joseph Kestner s Treasure Island
Joseph Kestner is quoted saying, In Treasure Island, Hawkins is forced to achieve an identity, but this
process is riddled with ambiguity, including the fact that Jim commits murder and remains haunted by
the experience as a nightmare, (______). He specializes in masculinity theory from novels written in
the late nineteenth century. Kestner can relate Jim because he is forced to become a new person, kill a
human to save his own life, and questions why situations happen. Wyeth suggests that Jim will take on
a courageous mysterious journey by using Jim s poses, gender roles, darkness, and specific details to
portray his maturation throughout the novel, thereby suggesting that we are all subject to transitions
that are inevitable. Also, Stevenson and Wyeth use text and images that do not correlate how they
should, which can confuse readers and have them wonder why the image was placed in this book.
Through Jim Hawkin s pose and gender roles, Wyeth portrays Jim s transition from adolescence to a
masculine adulthood. Jim s pose shows that he is unemotional compared to his mother who is
positioned behind him. In this illustration, Jim is shorter than his mother, but Wyeth uses the technique
occlusion to make Jim appear larger than he actually is. Wyeth uses this technique to demonstrate the
importance of Jim, implying that he is clearly the most powerful character. In the nineteenth century,
gender roles were vastly different than they are today; for example, females acted

The Effects of Poverty on Education Essay
In today s world people need to compete globally for jobs and one of the most important factors in
getting a good paying job is education. However, even the best schools cannot overcome some of the
obstacles placed in front of the students that walk through their doors. Poverty, chaotic home
environments, discrepancies in exposure to technology, and lack of funding for schools all negatively
impact the effort to educate children. In today s economic environment even the wealthiest states and
districts are having to cut funding for education, while districts which were already teetering on the
edge are now in an even worse position. In some schools children have to face not having enough
books, paper for copies, severe overcrowding, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the current recession and foreclosure crisis, more families are facing homelessness than ever
before. This presents additional struggles for children and the schools who educate them. Since many
of the students have no fixed place to stay, they could bounce from school to school providing no
stability for education, or in some areas these children are transported back to their original home
school sometimes causing kids to be on busses for long commutes. When children face a lack of
stability in the classroom it is easier to fall behind, and teachers might only begin to see deficiencies in
skills after observing work for a while it could lead a student to fall further behind every day. Even
when children have a stable home there are other family life factors that can affect their progress at
school. Child neglect, drugs, alcohol, gangs, violence, and hunger can all have a significant impact on
how children learn both at school and at home. A child s first educational experience should be at
home, however with increasing use of drugs and alcohol, and sometimes unintentional neglect from
not being able to afford quality daycare means that some children entering the classroom are woefully
unprepared. Although poverty affects every nationality there are races that traditionally are more

STI Essay
Adults and teens alike know the possible risks of sexual content, yet it is still a growing problem. Any
sexual contact without proper prevention can put us at risk of an STI. This is part of the reason why
that there are twenty million new cases of STIs every year. In 2015, it was discovered that teens ages
thirteen to twenty four account for over twenty three percent of all HIV cases in the US. According to
the CDC, half of all STI cases are from teens. Even with sharing a water bottle STIs can spread from
person to person. Some STIs are incurable, while others can be cured with a doctor s help. All people
who are educated in health know the risks, and are informed on how some STIs last a lifetime. Some
teens think that STIs are only now ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Meanwhile, fifteen point seven percent of teens aged fourteen to nineteen have HSV 2. This strain
causes mild skin irritations or painful lesions. When herpes spreads to the genitals, it is known as
genital herpes. One can be infected in the genitals with both forms of herpes in the genitals. This
infection has always been extremely common, and is usually not noticeable.
Technological advances have allowed some STIs to become curable. Gonorrhea is one of these.
Gonorrhea is a bacteria that infects different membranes in the genital area. Some are the urinary tract
and cervix. It can also possibly infect the eyes and throat. The CDC shows that around five hundred
and fifty thousand new Gonorrhea cases in the United States were from people aged fifteen to twenty
four in 2016. To spread Gonorrhea, ejaculation does not need to occur. It causes genital pain and
abnormally colored discharge. These symptoms aren t why Gonorrhea can be dangerous. In women, if
spread to the fallopian tubes, Gonorrhea can cause PID, which causes pain. PID, if untreated, could
lead to permanent infertility. In rare cases, Gonorrhea can also affect a man s fertility. If a pregnant
women has it, she can pass it on to the child. To cure it, the CDC recommends a mix of two different
medicines. This treatment plan can get rid of the disease, but cannot replace damaged body parts.
Some Gonorrhoeae strains are what is known as antimicrobial resistant.

Partner Write Up For this particular experiment I was paired with a deer peer and friend of mine,
Jazmin Uribe. For the construction process, we both worked on separate sections of the boat
individually, allowing us more time for the testing process itself. During construction there were a few
misunderstanding but we sorted through them and were able to build two successful boat, the Shook
and the Shooketh. During testing we worked as one and while one would spit up and separate the
work equally. Jazmin Uribe was an exceptional partner and college during this ordeal and we worked
well together. Personal Write Up For this particular project, the Atlantic Crossing, two separate boats

The angle of incline of the propeller was an essential factor. The rudder size was also an influential
and key factor to this operation. Two rudders were made for the project, made of wood and coated in
nail polish as to prevent waterlogging. These rudders would then be attached to the ends of the boats
the objective being greater stability. There was a clear indicator of the best type of rudder since the
first test. The larger rudder by far allowed the boat to travel the fastest. As indicated on the chart
below (see figure 6), the larger rudder was quicker, on average, by .58 seconds. One reason as to why
may have been the fact the smaller rudder may have been crafted too small to make a difference. The
rudder was an important factor in the boats speeds. The testing procedures may have also been a factor
in the results collected. For testing one would release the boat while the other person would time how
long it took to reach the end. With every test that was conducted, the boat material would become
increasingly waterlogged, corrupting our data. The boats would not float in a straight line, thanks to
the time constraints one would have to nudge it in the correct direction to get accurate results. Overall,
the testing may have been flawed and possibly inaccurate. When deciding what the boat shape

Differences Between Tweedledland And Alice In Wonderland
The original book of Alice s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, has many differences
within the plot when compared to the 1951 Disney movie adaptation. One of the differences between
these two adaptations is that in the book, Tweedledee and Tweedledum never appear or are mentioned.
In the movie, Tweedledee and Tweedledum are included. This makes the reader/audience understand
the text differently because there are more characters incorporated into the movie that change the plot.
Adding new characters to the movie change the significance of those characters, because they add new
dialogue and actions to the plot. Another plot difference between these two adaptations has to do with
the caterpillar. In the book, the caterpillar crawls away from Alice. However, the caterpillar turns into
a butterfly in the movie. This is significant to the plot in both the movie and book, because they
symbolize different things. The caterpillar turning into a butterfly signifies how much he has grown
throughout the movie, and it s finally his time to leave. The caterpillar turning into a butterfly in the
movie adds more significance to the plot, because he is transforming into something new. Whereas,
the book simply has the caterpillar crawl away. One of the last differences between these two
adaptations is that in the movie no one could see the cat, except for Alice. This makes the audience
understand the text differently, because the cat has more of a specific meaning to the movie.

JFK ASSASINATION THEORY Essay
JFK ASSASINATION THEORY November 22, 1963, was one of the darkest days in the history of the
United States of America. It was a day of complete turmoil. People all over the country dropped
everything that they were doing. Children were permitted to go home from school and people huddled
around their televisions in shock as they watched the day s events. On this day, John F. Kennedy was
brutally assassinated in Dallas, Texas.
John F. Kennedy was probably the most beloved and popular president to ever sit in the Oval Office.
He was the icon of our country. His youth and charisma personified the American citizen. His
beautiful wife and his two young children optimized the perfect family. His war hero and his highly

Because of these flaws, he only beat Nixon by less than one percent of the popular vote. He took the
office with his new vice president Lyndon B. Johnson. This was a surprise at first, because he opposed
Kennedy as the Democratic Party s candidate. Kennedy was able to persuade Johnson to run with him
and they later proved to be a good team.
Johnson was not the only Democrat opposed to Kennedy. Frankly, many people disliked the President
because his views conflicted with the party s. He was characterized as a liberal by many, but the
reality was the JFK did what he thought was right. For example, he went against the liberals and failed
to take a strong stand against McCarthyism. He also took a strong stand for the civil rights of blacks in
the South and unemployment. This caused much strife between Kennedy and the Democrats.
John F. Kennedy was so popular probably because of the way he stood up for his beliefs. He was also
loved because he was the major factor in the Space race. In this point and time we were battling the
USSR for the lead. He guaranteed and came through with sending astronauts to the moon. This may
be insignificant as far as politics go, but it gave American citizens a sense of pride and patriotism.
John F. Kennedy was also a hero to our country because he got our country out of two serious
conflicts. Almost immediately after taking

Essay On Classification Of Stars
Glance upward on a clear, unlit night and one of the most majestic sights available to us on this Earth
reveals itself. Splattered across the asphalt sky, millions nay, billions of white droplets hang as if
suspended by the night. Throughout human history, these seemingly infinitely small points of light
enthralled children and adults alike due to their usefulness in navigation, their connect the dot ability,
and their mystery. Who put them there? Why are they there? Questions like these plagued
philosophers for hundreds of years. Finally, around 1590, Giordano Bruno came to a conclusion that
shook the world of Astronomy. He suggested that the sun join the same category of celestial objects as
the millions of bright specks visible in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also like cars, a much larger star burns more fuel than a smaller star. This difference in fuel efficiency
forms the basis for how stars receive categorization. In the eco friendly section of the star dealership,
one may find the most humble of all celestial objects: The red dwarf. As the name implies, they
usually only possess half the size of our sun or less. The red dwarf s small size and lack of resources
in its creation places it firmly as the most common star in the universe; though, their lack of size hides
from the naked eye. Despite this shortcoming, red dwarfs possess one advantage over their larger and
brighter counterparts: Life expectancy. Of course, these monstrous spheres of ignited hydrogen
possess no life, but scientists consider them alive until they run out of fuel and burn out, and red
dwarfs take a long time to burn out. In fact, in the Universe s 13 billion year long existence, every red
dwarf to ever form remains burning to this day. This longevity, combined with their abundance, makes
a planet in a red dwarf star system the perfect candidate for the first interstellar colony; so despite their
relatively quiet existence, these little guys potentially hold the future of humanity. Want more power
than one of those red dwarfs could ever provide? Look no further than the Blue Giant. These monsters
range from twenty five to one hundred times the size of our sun. Unlike the relatively cool (3,500
degrees celsius) red dwarfs, blue giants burn

OMI Ozone Monitoring Instrument, or OMI, is a mission formed in coalition with the Netherland s Agency for Agency for Aerospace Programs, or NIVR, and Finnish Meteorological Institute, FMI to help with the EOS Aura mission. It will aid in recording total ozone measurements and other fields related to this topic. The instruments employed on OMI consist of hyperspectral imaging in a push broom mode to observe the solar backscatter radiation. This hyperspectral component greatly strengthens the accuracy and precision of the ozone data collected. It also allows for pinpoint radiometric and wavelength auto calibration over the mission timeline. The Earth, as a whole, will be viewed using 740 wavelength bands with a swath that is large enough to gain full coverage in 14 orbits, or one day (Dunbar, 2005). MOPITT Measurement of Pollution in the Troposphere (MOPITT) is an instrument designed to observe the lower atmosphere and observe how it interacts with the hydrosphere, biosphere, and geosphere. It focuses specifically on carbon monoxide and methane in the troposphere, the sinks, sources, transport, and distribution. It can measure the concentration of carbon monoxide and methane from a vertical column of 5 km. This allows MOPITT to track the origin of the gas. Someone in charge had blunder d and called out orders for six hundred British Calvary to storm a full Russian battalion Suddenly they were surrounded; Cannon to the right of them Cannon to the left of them Cannon in front of them As they tried to get through the enemy line a lot of the Light Brigade died, but some of them survived Tennyson calls them all the noble six hundred. Green Beret threatens to kill the boy s father if he does not say where the Vietcong are; you ve got one minute kid shouted Green Beret. That is one minute to tell where the Vietcong are or his father gets shot. The boy does not say a word by the time that was requested by green beret so he ordered the boy s father to get shot. As the gun shot shatters through the forest the boy crouches down and starts to cry. One mercenary then goes over to Green Beret and says to him he didn t know a damn thing we killed the old guy for nothing At that time the mercenary didn t know how wrong he was because the boy knew all there was to know about the Vietcong. Little did they know, within 24 hours that would be the last time it would land at an airport. The plane landed on a slush covered filled after it had snowed at the airport. Upon landing, the wings still had roughly 2,550 kilograms of fuel left in each of them. There the plane sat at a gate and at around 0200 hours on 27 December, 1991, a flight technician had finished inspecting the airplane and had noted that ice had formed on upper portion of the wings. By morning it was noted by a technician at 0730 hours that frost was found on the underside of the wing, but after inspection of the upper wing he could not see any ice formed on it. It would later be found out that there was indeed ice on it, but not a kind that is completely visible, and the ice that was found on the wing was in fact clear ice. The reason this ice likely formed on the wing was due to fuel being left in the wings overnight where the temperature within it was 20° C. • 14. Goals Of The Underground Railroad What was the Underground Railroad? The underground railroad was not underground, or a railroad, it was named this because the activities that happened had to take place in the dark or in disguise. Routes were lines, stopping places were stations, and the ones who aided on the way were conductors. The underground operations relied heavily on secret codes to tell passengers when it was safe to travel and when it wasn t safe to travel. The most active members who helped the railroad were people of the freed slave community such as Harriet Tubman. The different lines of the routes extended in several directions throughout 14 northern states and the Promised Land of canada. Typically, enslaved African Americans who left plantations and cities in Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, and Virginia were more likely to take refuge in the northern states, Canada and Western Territories. Those who lived in the deep south often found freedom by escaping into Mexico and the Caribbean. The Underground railroad was a system which existed in the Northern states before the civil War that helped slaves escape. Slaves from the south were helped by sympathetic Northerners. The ultimate goal of the underground railroad was to get slaves to a place of safety and freedom states in the north and in canada. This latter proportion is a ratio of two variables and, as you will learn, is termed a ratio estimator. Figure 3 3 The total population of nine drug addicts is seen in Figure 3 3. The bas reliefs located in the gallery of Angkor Wat holds a special signification for Angkor Wat. The gallery displays heaven and the underworld in which garudas and lions are holding the celestial palaces. These gerudas indicate that the palaces were floating in heaven, comparing Angkor Wat to the palaces of the Gods. This display furthers the idea that Angkor Wat acts as a liason between the world of Heaven and Earth. Because the palace physically remains on earth but spiritually resides within heaven, the palace acts as communal place for believers to gather. In a school environment, the judgment, of course, is the learning of our students. Are they learning the material? What do they currently understand? Are they meeting the standard? Have the learning objectives been met? Do they understand what has been taught thus far? Students are constantly being assessed. They are assessed prior to a learning activity in order to provide a basis for planning. They are informally assessed throughout the learning process for the purpose of adjusting the lesson. They are formally assessed at the end of a lesson to ensure that the necessary objectives have been learned. He was an axial thinker, seeking truth over wisdom, and virtue over knowledge. He encouraged others to examine life, and constantly question what the people believed to be true. Socrates came of age in 5th Century B.C.E Greece. The Grecians had proven themselves victorious over the Persians, and Athens, the strongest city state in Greece, and was thrusted into an axial transformation. Athenians sought to gain knowledge of the controlled aspects of life; Such as why and how humans do the things they do. Athens prided itself on this axial way, of which their prized possession, democracy, was born. Yet this transformation was brought to an abrupt halt by the Peloponnesian Wars. Athens grew fearful that Sparta would threaten their growth, and instead halted their own transformation by throwing themselves into the Peloponnesian Wars. Athens suffered defeat at the hands of Sparta, in which they lost everything they found dear, and Athens was thrown into an axial dark age. Yet, Socrates was out of his times, and refused to change. The Gretzky trade had effects beyond the two teams. The landscape of the National Hockey League changed in the years following the Gretzky trade. Ten years after the trade Anaheim, Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, San Jose, and Tampa were awarded NHL franchises. The National Hockey League s southern expansion was partially driven by the attendance increase the Los Angeles Kings experienced after the Gretzky trade. The goal of this essay is to determine what drives attendance in Sun Belt cities. Identity And Identity In Joseph Kestner s Treasure Island Joseph Kestner is quoted saying, In Treasure Island, Hawkins is forced to achieve an identity, but this process is riddled with ambiguity, including the fact that Jim commits murder and remains haunted by the experience as a nightmare, (______). He specializes in masculinity theory from novels written in the late nineteenth century. Kestner can relate Jim because he is forced to become a new person, kill a human to save his own life, and questions why situations happen. Wyeth suggests that Jim will take on a courageous mysterious journey by using Jim s poses, gender roles, darkness, and specific details to portray his maturation throughout the novel, thereby suggesting that we are all subject to transitions that are inevitable. Also, Stevenson and Wyeth use text and images that do not correlate how they should, which can confuse readers and have them wonder why the image was placed in this book. Through Jim Hawkin s pose and gender roles, Wyeth portrays Jim s transition from adolescence to a masculine adulthood. Jim s pose shows that he is unemotional compared to his mother who is positioned behind him. In this illustration, Jim is shorter than his mother, but Wyeth uses the technique occlusion to make Jim appear larger than he actually is. One reason as to why may have been the fact the smaller rudder may have been crafted too small to make a difference. The rudder was an important factor in the boats speeds. The testing procedures may have also been a factor in the results collected. For testing one would release the boat while the other person would time how long it took to reach the end. With every test that was conducted, the boat material would become increasingly waterlogged, corrupting our data. The boats would not float in a straight line, thanks to the time constraints one would have to nudge it in the correct direction to get accurate results. Overall, the testing may have been flawed and possibly inaccurate. When deciding what the boat shape ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Differences Between Tweedledland And Alice In Wonderland The original book of Alice s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, has many differences within the plot when compared to the 1951 Disney movie adaptation. One of the differences between these two adaptations is that in the book, Tweedledee and Tweedledum never appear or are mentioned. In the movie, Tweedledee and Tweedledum are included. This makes the reader/audience understand the text differently because there are more characters incorporated into the movie that change the plot. Adding new characters to the movie change the significance of those characters, because they add new dialogue and actions to the plot. Another plot difference between these two adaptations has to do with the caterpillar. In the book, the caterpillar crawls away from Alice. However, the caterpillar turns into a butterfly in the movie. This is significant to the plot in both the movie and book, because they symbolize different things. The caterpillar turning into a butterfly signifies how much he has grown throughout the movie, and it s finally his time to leave. The caterpillar turning into a butterfly in the movie adds more significance to the plot, because he is transforming into something new. Whereas, the book simply has the caterpillar crawl away. One of the last differences between these two adaptations is that in the movie no one could see the cat, except for Alice. This makes the audience understand the text differently, because the cat has more of a specific meaning to the movie. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. JFK ASSASINATION THEORY Essay JFK ASSASINATION THEORY November 22, 1963, was one of the darkest days in the history of the United States of America. It was a day of complete turmoil. People all over the country dropped everything that they were doing. Children were permitted to go home from school and people huddled around their televisions in shock as they watched the day s events. On this day, John F. Kennedy was brutally assassinated in Dallas, Texas. John F. Kennedy was probably the most beloved and popular president to ever sit in the Oval Office. He was the icon of our country. His youth and charisma personified the American citizen. His beautiful wife and his two young children optimized the perfect family. His war hero and his highly educated ... This was a surprise at first, because he opposed Kennedy as the Democratic Party s candidate. Kennedy was able to persuade Johnson to run with him and they later proved to be a good team. Johnson was not the only Democrat opposed to Kennedy. Frankly, many people disliked the President because his views conflicted with the party s. He was characterized as a liberal by many, but the reality was the JFK did what he thought was right. For example, he went against the liberals and failed to take a strong stand against McCarthyism. He also took a strong stand for the civil rights of blacks in the South and unemployment. This caused much strife between Kennedy and the Democrats. John F. Kennedy was so popular probably because of the way he stood up for his beliefs. He was also loved because he was the major factor in the Space race. In this point and time we were battling the USSR for the lead. He guaranteed and came through with sending astronauts to the moon. This may be insignificant as far as politics go, but it gave American citizens a sense of pride and patriotism. John F. Kennedy was also a hero to our country because he got our country out of two serious conflicts. Almost immediately after taking ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. Essay On Classification Of Stars Glance upward on a clear, unlit night and one of the most majestic sights available to us on this Earth reveals itself. Splattered across the asphalt sky, millions nay, billions of white droplets hang as if suspended by the night. Throughout human history, these seemingly infinitely small points of light enthralled children and adults alike due to their usefulness in navigation, their connect the dot ability, and their mystery. Who put them there? Why are they there? Questions like these plagued philosophers for hundreds of years. Finally, around 1590, Giordano Bruno came to a conclusion that shook the world of Astronomy. He suggested that the sun join the same category of celestial objects as the millions of bright specks visible in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also like cars, a much larger star burns more fuel than a smaller star. This difference in fuel efficiency forms the basis for how stars receive categorization. In the eco friendly section of the star dealership, one may find the most humble of all celestial objects: The red dwarf. As the name implies, they usually only possess half the size of our sun or less. The red dwarf s small size and lack of resources in its creation places it firmly as the most common star in the universe; though, their lack of size hides from the naked eye. Despite this shortcoming, red dwarfs possess one advantage over their larger and brighter counterparts: Life expectancy. Of course, these monstrous spheres of ignited hydrogen possess no life, but scientists consider them alive until they run out of fuel and burn out, and red dwarfs take a long time to burn out. In fact, in the Universe s 13 billion year long existence, every red dwarf to ever form remains burning to this day. This longevity, combined with their abundance, makes a planet in a red dwarf star system the perfect candidate for the first interstellar colony; so despite their relatively quiet existence, these little guys potentially hold the future of humanity. Want more power than one of those red dwarfs could ever provide? Look no further than the Blue Giant. These monsters range from twenty five to one hundred times the size of our sun. Unlike the relatively cool (3,500 degrees celsius) red dwarfs, blue giants burn ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
