Berserkers Research Paper
Berserkers
You never forget a close encounter with a wild animal bent on hunting you down for their next meal.
It is one of the terrifying experiences you could ever have. Now imagine being approached by a
stealthy creature with the face of a man and the head of a bear or wolf brandishing sword and shield.
The creature wild eyed almost foaming at the mouth. Wouldn t that terrify you? This is a good
description of the Berserker a Norse warrior who fought in a nearly uncontrollable, trance like fury, a
characteristic which later gave rise to the English word berserk.
Berserkers appear in many poems and sagas. They describe berserkers as ravenous men who kill,
plunder, and loot indiscriminately. In later dates, Christian interpreters described

Battle Of Midway Essay
Define the Battle (who, when, where) On June 4, 1942, only six months after the Japanese attack on
Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the United States defeated Japan throughout a 4 day battle (until
June 7) in one of the most decisive naval battles of World War II. This battle s location was primarily
the island of Midway Atoll, which is roughly 1,300 miles northwest of Oahu, Hawaii. Recognitions in
part to major advances in code breaking, the United States was able to preempt and counter Japan s
planned ambush of its few remaining aircraft carriers, inflicting permanent damage on the Japanese
Navy. An important turning point in the Pacific campaign, the victory allowed the United States and
its allies to move into an offensive position.
The Mission
One of Japan s main goals during WWII was to remove the United States as a Pacific power in order
to gain territory in East Asia. Japan hoped to defeat the US Pacific Fleet and use Midway as a base to

You might think of this as The Battle of Midway, Round Two. Fought near the island of Saipan in the
Marianas group, the Battle of the Philippine Sea set the rebuilt Japanese carrier force, commanded by
Vice Admiral Jisaburo Ozawa, against Admiral Spruance s Fifth Fleet. Both navies had studied the
Battle of Midway, and both had learned from it, but it was only the U.S. Navy that had created a
carrier force that could advance deep into enemy territory and defeat both land based and carrier based
air forces. In two days of multiple air battles, the Japanese lost over 90% of the aircraft that they had
used against Spruance s carriers and surface ships. Philippine Sea was the last gasp of the Japanese
fleet s carrier aviators. At the end of October 1944, after its defeat at the Battle of Leyte Gulf, the
Japanese navy began using kamikaze (suicide) attacks in an effort to compensate for the defeat of its
carrier

Human Trafficking Papers
Human Trafficking
Today in the United States human trafficking takes many forms. Human Trafficking is crime that
shames us all but continues to happen everyday. There are many causes and impacts of human
trafficking, but laws and preventative measures are helping to combat the problem.
Human Trafficking is a crime that happens all around the world. There are many laws that were put in
place to combat the problem but the problem still remains. Human Traffickers target people who are
unsuspecting alone and weak. Traffickers profit most after natural disasters when people are misplaced
homeless and in need of security. People of third world countries are also at a very high risk for the
most common forms of trafficking such as organ, sex, labor and or, being soldiers in a war the victim
had no idea existed prior to be thrown into it. Around the world one in five victims of human
trafficking are children. Children are taken for the purpose of becoming beggars or pick pockets.
Children are seen as better to work in factories due to their tiny hands deemed better for untangling
fishnets, sewing luxury goods and picking coca.
Women make up two thirds of the victims of human trafficking, the majority of women who are
trafficked are lured into it by false promises of employment but are drugged raped and drugged, taken
captive, beaten or threatened with violence.
The most common form of trafficking detected by Interpol in 2015 was for the purpose of sexual

Kurt Cobain Theory
Kurt Cobain was found dead of an apparently self inflicted shotgun blast to the head. (Cross, 2014).
Cobain was at a raise during his time, he pushed limits into his music, creating a grunge style
influencing the fashion and music industry single handily. His band, Nirvana was the biggest and most
significant band of his generation in the early 90s. He was only 27 years old at the time of his death,
but the question is what lead the Nirvana rock star to suicide? Freud s psychodynamic theory of
personality states the importance of early childhood development, and it could be said that childhood
experiences could have possibly played a role in Cobain s suicide. On February 20, 1967, Cobain was
born to be the center attention of his family, he was the first child. At three years old his parents
birthed his younger sister, that s when things changed, and he didn t receive all the attention as he used
to. Around the age of nine his parent s marriage went downhill and divorced, because of this Cobain s
psychological development would become affected into his adolescent years. After the divorced
Cobain was never in a stable home, jumping from living with father to his grandparents, aunts, and
uncles houses. According to (Cloninger, 2004), It leaves a narcissistic wound and a craving for
parental love that was never met . In psychoanalytic theory Alder could describe him to be struggling
with interiority within his childhood where Fear of abandonment, undoubtedly from his

Contributions of Psychology to the Juvenile Justice System
INTRODUCTION The contributions of psychology to the juvenile justice system are important and
growing. In assembling this Handbook, however, our primary goal was not simply to overview most
of these contributions. Rather, we approach this topic with the view that psychology s most important
contributions to juvenile justice are interdisciplinary and empirical. One cannot expect to make
meaningful contributions to our legal system without recognizing the nature and structure of
applicable law. Within that context, however, are questions about why and how frequently adolescents
become involved in offending, how long they continue, what influences serve as risk and protective
factors, how such adolescents might be assessed and rehabilitated in relevant and effective ways, and
how important information about human development, assessment, and intervention might best be
conveyed to juvenile justice professionals. Many of these questions are clearly interdisciplinary in
scope. This Handbook provides relevant information from different specializations within psychology,
including clinical, developmental, educational, family, forensic, and social. But it also includes
perspectives from other behavioral sciences (e.g., sociology, criminology), natural sciences (biology)
and mental health professions (e.g., psychiatry, social work) in the attempt to identify the most
important sources of information to address the major questions on which we focus. These questions

Mediation and Peacekeeping Agenda in International Relations
MEDIATION AND PEACEKEEPING AGENDA In International Relations, mediation and
peacekeeping are the very essence of what are international relations itself, international organizations
and regional organization like the African Union. First established by the United Nations decades ago,
it has played an outstanding role in the peaceful aim and determination of armed conflict around the
world. It was at the end of the Cold War that it mostly reached its peak as many long term conflicts
were finally coming to an end due to the political negotiations which were often broken but were
successfully applied after strong mediation and peacekeeping effort. For this thesis of the Darfur
conflict, to assess and examine the African Union s mediation and peacekeeping agenda, we must first
understand and differentiate between peacemaking and peacekeeping. Then their role in the Darfur
conflict could be analyzed and if they have had an outstanding role as in many others armed conflict.
Definition of Mediation and Peacekeeping What is mediation? What is peacemaking? Peacemaking
and mediation are deeply intertwine and cannot be defined without one another. But what is
peacemaking? Peacemaking has been defined by many scholars and critics. For Douglas Noll, an
expert in peacemaking and mediation specialized in difficult and intractable conflicts; he defined
peacemaking as a complex concept as even peace can be defined in so many ways. But however he
described peacemaking as a concept

Analysis Of Boo Radley
He just might be watching all the townspeople through their windows. Staring in the dark night. All
anyone knows of him is what they have heard through rumors. Is all the gossip true, or is Boo Radley
just a tall tale? In literature, authors use dynamic characters to leave readers asking questions and
wanting more. Similar to how Harper Lee uses Boo Radley in her novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, to
display tension throughout the story, by having him slowly transform from an ominous monster, to a
true mystery, and eventually, a hero. From the start of the novel, Boo is automatically perceived as a
horrific beast that preys on the innocent people of Maycomb County, yet everything anyone knows of
the man is based off speculation. For instance, the narrator provides her questionable knowledge of
Boo when she informs readers that he is, a malevolent phantom that is auspiciously known for lurking
in the night to [peep] in [residents] windows (Lee 10). If this rumor about Boo is true, readers should
have a growing concern for all the people in the town, especially because no one has a clue what Boo
s appearance resembles. He has not left his home in the light of day for countless years. This man
could be real trouble. Later, rumors seem to be confirmed by town gossip, Miss Stephanie Crawford
when she recalls a time when she awoke in the middle of the night to find Boo s skull of a face staring
right at her through her window (Lee 16). Even though Miss Stephanie is known to be

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Professional Training
GENERAL CONCLUSION:
This research which aimed at understanding if financial authority trainers are professionally and
intellectually well equipped to instruct and assess adult learners has enabled us to attain some
important achievements that we organized into two main groups: positive and negative.
Such an appraisal was made possible by comparing financial authority trainers habits and actions with
the principles of andragogy as described in Malcom Knowles works. Thus, we were positively
impressed by their awareness of the fact that adult learners engaged in professional training should not
be given a mark for fear to hinder his self esteem. Moreover, most of them knew that adults learning
and assessment should rather be task based. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Bombs In Ww2 Essay
World War II was Fought from 1939 1945. The Nazis forced ladored Jews to make bombs in the
Holocaust. There were many different types of bombs and chemicals in WWII. There are Three
chemicals that make the bombs in WWII. One of the Chemicals are Tabun. Nazis forced prisoners to
make tubun. Tabun is a chemical that messes with the nerve system. This chemical is also used stun
grenades. The chemical was supposed to be a pesticide. Tubun was also used in gas chambers.
Another gas used in bombs and in gas chamber is Zyklon B. Chlorine gas was a popular gas in WWI
and in WWII. The gas was greenish yellow. It irritates the ears, lungs, nose, and throat. This gas kills
its enemies by asphyxiation. This means it cuts off the air flow and chokes them. There are many
different types of bombs and different materials that make up them. Most bombs are made up of
metal. They can t have metal that s too strong because then the bomb will not explode. Infact 10% of
bombs dropped in WWII did not explode. There are bombs hat when they explode they shoot shards
of steel. Bombs that are not supposed to do this still will. Some bombs such as RM s are made up of
powdered metals like aluminum and titanium. Powdered bombs have a massive ... Show more content

Friar Relationship In Romeo And Juliet
Have you ever had a father that wasn t actually your father? He was just a person who cared so much
about your wellbeing that He was a father to you. William Shakespeare, author of Romeo and Juliet,
shows how the relationship between the Friar and Romeo is Father and son even though they are not
actually related and through Shakespeare s use of anger, forgetfulness, and care does He show that the
Friar and Romeo have a paternal relationship for each other. The Friar use anger to show that he is a
father to Romeo by saying, Holy Saint Francis, what change is here! (2.3.67), and Hath wash d thy
sallow cheeks for Rosaline! (2.3.72). Why these quotes show that Friar is a father to Romeo is because
fathers are supposed to care for who you love and teach you to love correctly. The love that Romeo
feels for Rosaline is quick and not sustained. Friar, being just told this, reacts in anger because he
moves on way to quickly and loves another dropping all thoughts on Rosaline, completely forgetting
about that she ever existed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Friar says, For this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households rancor into pure love. (2.3.95

man and never have to spoil her maidenhead that the man should move on. This was a better idea then
trying to get Rosaline back. Also if Romeo had never moved on we would have never met Juliet to
end the quarrel between the Montague and Capulet houses . If that never happened Tybalt would have
never died and they could have kept fighting until they were all exiled or killed by the Price for
starting too many fights in the quiet streets of

Brand Experience Created By The Feelings And Reactions...
According to (Brakus, et al,2009.) Brand experience created by the feelings and reactions associated
with the brand. These feelings are brought about by brand design, communication, environment and
brand identity. Brand experience is majorly centered on branding than other product concepts like
brand personality, attitudes, values, equity, and association. The most important thing for a consumer
today is whether the brand can add value to their lives through positive experiences. Morrison and
Crane (2009) argue that there is an emerging trend in consumer behavior and marketing with
consumers purchasing products and services based on the experiences of what is being sold. Many
researchers have concluded that customers look for services that will leave a positive experience in
their lives. This has led to an increased interest to markets who want to give their clients a memorable
experience. Brand experience leads to consumer trust, loyalty, and satisfaction.
DIMENSIONS OF BRAND EXPERIENCE
Brakus, et al., (2009), states that there are four aspects of the brand experience. The four dimensions
are affective, behavioral, sensory and intellectual dimensions.
AFFECTIVE DIMENSION
Zarantonello and Schmitt (2010), concludes that the affective dimension consists of the feeling created
by products and services and the emotional attachment of the consumers to these brands. They further
suggest that when consumers have a greater affective brand experience they tend to think that the

Stereotypes of Men in Advertisements Essay
Stereotypes of Men in Advertisements
Visual representation of reality, as seen through mass media, is acknowledged by sociologists to be
influential in shaping people s views of the world. Our everyday realities are articulated mostly by
what we see in the media. The role of advertising in this interpretation of reality is crucial. The target
audience s self identification with the images being a basic prerequisite for an advertisement s
effectiveness, makes advertising one of the most important factors in the building of behavior models
and values systems. The way a certain notion is managed at a visual level determines how people will
perceive this notion and whether they will identify with it or not. Meaning is encoded in the ... Show

I intend to look at these ads as a group of 20, looking at collective similarities among them and any
common stereotypes and themes in the way these ads portray men. I also intend to examine any
general differences between the ads fro the men s magazines, and those from the women s magazines,
as well as differences along product lines.
I expect to see reinforcement of the stereotypes discussed in Denise Kervin s study as well as the
stereotypes delineated by other authors cited in this paper. I expect that these reinforcements will
occur as much as, but in a different way than is seen earlier in time as discussed in the various
literature cited in this paper. I also expect that these stereotypes will be equally present, yet will
manifest themselves differently depending on the target audience and product being pitched.
Dominant discourses surrounding gender encourage us to accept that the human race is naturally
divided in to male and female, each gender realistically identifiable by a set of immutable
characteristics. In Foucault s terms, relations of difference are social constructs belonging to social
orders that contain hierarchies of power, defined, named and delimited by institutional discourses, to
produce social practices. Gender differences are symbolic categories (Saco, 1992:25). These
categories are used to ascribe certain characteristics to men

Managing HR in MNC is different from the way the HR is being managed in the country, According
to Morgan (1986) there are three factors that differentiate between IHRM and domestic HR: First, the
countries of operations such as the country where a subsidiary may be located, the host country where
the subsidiaries are located, and other countries. Second, the different types of employee, in
international environment the HR management have to deal with the host country nationals (HCNs),
expatriates or home country nationals (PCNs) and third country nationals (TCNs), for example if L
Oreal hired an Indonesian employee in their Indonesian subsidiary the employee is a HCNs, and when
manager from L Oreal Headquarter in France came to work in Indonesian subsidiary the manager is a
PCNs, and if L Oreal employs manager neither from Indonesia nor France to work in their Indonesian

and etc) are conducted. Although IHR practices seems to have the same activities as domestic HR, in
IHR the manager will be dealing with different environment and diversity of employees from different
cultural background. Moreover, as mentioned earlier dissimilarities between domestic and

French Broom Essay
In California today, there are a lot of plants and animals populating the region. The Environmental
Protection Agency states French broom (Genista monspessulana) is an invasive shrub from Europe
now abundant in California (EPA). Though French broom does not sound imposing, the problems it
has caused are copious. If French broom is not stopped at an early stage, it can grow rapidly and have
drastic effects. Today, the effects are becoming more and more unmanageable because it is deleterious
to the environment and other species. All of these reasons can make the issue of French broom quite a
pressing one, especially now more than ever.

Although it may not seem so extreme, it may actually be the cause of the extinction of plants and

There are many reasons why this is an issue that is threatening others. Firstly, French broom kills off
other plants and animals, which is the reason that a great deal of species are dying. French broom also
sucks out all the nutrients from the soil, which is harmful for other species of plants that are struggling
to grow. However, French broom is a threat not just to plants and animals, but to humans as well. For
instance, it can cause wildfires by overcrowding and drying out the area. These invasive plants can

Gender Expectations Essay
Before we are born and actually take that first breath of air into the world, Society and our family
prepares us to play our role as a male child or female child, leading into adult hood. When the parents
are told by the doctors whether or not it is a boy or girl; we as a society plan for our showers, to
coordinate with the sex of the baby. If it is a female child, the decorations for the shower are mainly
pink, and if the sex of the child is a male child, the decorations are of course mainly blue. Female
children are given dolls, tea sets, and pretend kitchens. Little girls are trained to nurture, take care, and

Is it because the child is a male child, one may assume that football is definitely something the little
boy should be interested in? When we start grade school there are many different groups that are
available for us to become a part of. There is rarely a football, baseball, or basketball team available
for a little girl to join at such a young age. It is automatically assumed that because of the roles we are
expected to play, that only the little boys would be interested in these types of sports. At such a young
age, we have experienced gender inequality in sports. Little girls are then forced to join cheerleader
teams. Early on, little girls are trained to stay in the background, and cheer on the men. They are
forced to sit in the bleachers, stand on the sidelines, and be that nurturing, supportive woman that they
will soon enough be in their adulthood. The litte girls are put in their cute little cheerleading costumes,
getting all dressed up to play their leading roles. While cheerleading is considered to be a sport, since
it is mainly a woman s sport it is not showed the respect it should. There are boys that may join the
cheerleading sport as well. When this happens society automatically stereotypes and may consider that
boy to be homosexual. Society needs to accept the different sports that both men and women can
compete in, not letting gender become the main factor. Women should be able to participate

provide the framework for morally acceptable decisions, without necessarily saying how these
decisions can be reached. Nevertheless, moral theories do assume that we are capable of making the
right moral decisions. Thus, an empirical analysis of the methods and resources used for moral
decision making becomes important. Theoretical parallels of economic decision theory and moral
utilitarianism suggest that moral decision making can actually use mechanisms and processes that
were originally developed for non moral decision making. For example, the computation of a reward
value is done through the combination of probability and magnitude and similar computation may also

The Image Of Nursing
The Image of Nursing Nurses has created a particular image on society and within their profession
realm, that depicts them as quite a unique individual, specializing in delivery of quality,
compassionate and caring care that is so unique in a meaningful way. With the media involved, the
images, both reflect and reinforce the social aspect of nursing throughout the continuum of care. This
essay will seek to explore common and complexed images of nursing and tell a story of how those
images can play a part in the reflecting and the various status of the nursing we know today.

The media did not do any justice in depicting stories about the values of the nurse, yet alone the
integrity, until the CAN ( The Center of nursing advocacy, 2007) decided to enlist a program where
nurses were honored and rewarded for outstanding achievement in care. From the advent of the
introduction of improved curriculum to now include the highest level of achievement for nursing, the
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), where nurses can not only write prescriptions and treat
independently, but can advance to research, enabling better evidence based practices (Andrews l. D.,
2007). The patients appears, from various studies, to be more apt to follow instructions from the nurse
over the doctor, as they see the nurse as giving a more personalized treatment, and a working
relationship, extends far out from being a patient in the hospital, to home care services where they are
happy to receive quality care in the comfort of their own home. The Friendly Face of Nursing
Although, today, there are many male nurses, the overwhelming site of a nurse, is that smiling female
who seems to care so much about your comfort. The friendliness in which she asks how are you today
Ms Job ? The peace of mind seen on the patient s face, tells that the joy of that closeness has certainly
formed a bond (Johnson Johnson, 2007). The nurse in the home care setting, becomes more
personalized; the patient sees him/her on

The Arrows Between Cortisol And The Three Core Needs
The arrows between cortisol and the three core needs are shown as a dashed arrow to reflect the
negative relationships against fandom/ fanship formation. The solid arrows circulate from output to
sporting events participation reveal the impacts of different psychological or behavioral consequences
may influence the desire to participate in sporting events, therefore, activate next round of
neurochemical release. Hence, the fanatic behavior will be continually reinforced or weakened.
For example, a blowout loss to an archrival or a shocking loss to a lower seeded opponent may cause
negative emotions such as displeasure, anger and shame, thus trigger cortisol. At that moment, the fan
realizes that he cannot satisfy his needs, so he tries to do something to stop the anger. He may avoid
discussing the shameful experience with his friends or refuse to read or watch any media coverage of
this embarrassing loss (Partridge, Wann, Elison, 2010). If he undergoes this suffering frequently, his
fandom identification and spectating motivation will eventually vanish and then he may try to involve
in another activity that can trigger his happy chemicals and satisfy his needs.
Spectating sporting events does not produce negative outcomes all the time; it actually can trigger
another type of chemicals that make sport fans want to maximize their participation. For instance,
when a football fan steps into the stadium, the rhythmic swaying of fellow fans or the coordinated
exposure of music

Character Investigation Worksheet
In order to connect to the character:
What are the given circumstances?
What do these circumstances imply?
Once you figure step 1. .2 out, use your imagination to connect to the character.
*Audition tip: When preparing for an audition, don t be nervous because you re worried about acting
the part...
Remember I m not nervous because I am this character; I feel its emotions, its struggles, its love and
hate. The most important thing when waiting for your audition, is not whether you re going to land the
part or not, is to prepare yourself to become this character!
Anytime a noun is mentioned circle it, you need to remember it and really make a relation to it! For

Self analytical review:
My audition wasn t believable; I think during the middle of my journey it looks like I ve become
apathetic, especially during a time where I should ve shown how much I wanted this girl.
When I got out of my character (when I disconnected) I stopped listening because I became nervous:
like I stopped acting and all the sudden was aware that I had all these stage lights cameras on me.
I didn t use my environment.
When I m re watching film, I couldn t see myself being authentic in those moments, like that s not
how I would act; knowing myself, I think I d come off as more shy and awkward during this date.
I got lost in the page.
My Criticism: Take everything personally! What s your need! If you re feeling overwhelmed with
remembering the technicalities of preparing for your cold read, as well as taking stage direction, just
focus on the need. Knowing your need is the most important thing that can help you prepare for an
audition.
Maybe to help you better associate yourself with the character, remember three memories that this
character had; similar to imagining your other

A Brief Note On Mechanical Engineering And Engineering
When taking a look at the world today, it is concluded that it has now been taken over by engineers.
With new inventions being innovated day by day, the world has been improved magnificently with the
help of engineers. Although there is no way to specifically define someone as a leader, with all of the
new inventions that are created by engineers daily they can definitely be classified as leaders and
creators of todays world. In almost every corner of this earth, there is some sort of engineering
involved. Know as some of the smartest people in the world, they are what improve and make a
difference in our daily activities. Mechanical, civil, electrical, computer, and biomedical engineers are
only a few of the many that have and continue to change the world daily with their inventions.
Mechanical Engineers
Mechanical engineering is one of the types of engineering that can be found almost everywhere. For
example, automobiles, it is nearly impossible to stay away from them as they are found almost
everywhere. Mechanical engineers work on the structure, the designs and re designs of automobiles by
improving their functions to benefit and them suitable for everyone. Another form of inventions that
are fun for or everyone or at least some people are rollercoaster and rides. Rollercoaster are designed
by mechanical engineers, from top to bottom, they make sure that the structure of a certain

Saint Saëns Siege
Other performances at this time also have Saint Saëns performing in benefit of the Red Cross and later
in 1870 to wounded soldiers. His duties as a soldier were as much delineated in protecting Paris, the
subsequent active patriotism as they were in utilizing music as a means to inspire, and mend the
psychological wounds of warfare; the more subtle, but still active patriotic muscle.
Even with his descriptive indications of war and musical activities during the Siege, Saint Saëns does
not offer a more intricate blueprint regarding his Marche. For example, some pervasive questions arise
in regards to the repurposing of materials in his Cantate, such as: when exactly did the Cantate
material get transformed into the recognizable Marche? Additionally, ... Show more content on

A string of unsuccessful battles, backed by a lack of supplies, and untrained soldiers ultimately nudged
Jules Favre to agree to an armistice on January 27th 1871. Thus, concluding, the period of the Siege.
However, what is pivotal about the Siege is it demonstrated what the French thought was essential.
Amidst a deficit in supplies, and a losing war, music played an integral part in the livelihood of its
people. In the same respects, Saint Saëns s occupation as a soldier, musician, and composer acclimates
to this narrative of music as an integral piece, worshiping music even amongst instability. For France
and Saint Saëns, losing the war was the first of many painful experiences. In the final days before
Favre signed the armistice, a painful addition was added to the Marche Héroïque lineage; Saint Saëns
s friend, painter, and tenor, Henri Regnault (1843 1871) died. Regnault was fatally shot in the Battle of
Buzenval. According to Saint Saëns, he received his idea for his Requiem on the night Regnault had
fallen. As much, an invalidated story surrounds the composers refusal of nutrients or company for the
span of three days following the news of his friend. Regnault s death without a doubt sparked a great
sadness in the composer and in turn, added a painful dedicated of his Marche Héroïque to his memory.
The expenditures of the war for Saint Saëns certainly eroded any sense of normalcy for him or the rest
of France. Even with the eventual outcomes of the war that included the annexation of Alsace
Lorraine, and the death of his friend Henri Regnault, Saint Saëns conversely utilized the distress and
sadness of these events and elicited a creative fervor that produced an array of works, writings, and the
completion of an orchestral rendition of Marche

Exceptional Students Served In Special Schools
I believe there are several reasons why twice exceptional students fail to be identified and served. The
first reason is because teachers are undertrained and do not know how to identify. Another reason is
that some talents are only seen at home or in non academic settings. The third reason is many students
with a learning disability (identified or not) often get missed because the LD over shadows the talents
or the talents compensate for the LD and both go unidentified. The main reason I think special
education and gifted education are mutually exclusive in many school is because many people hold
the belief that the two are serving different types of learners with different types of needs. However,
they actually share students.

Jonbenet Murder Theories
An unexpected murder with unexplained evidence all surrounding a 6 year old pageant queen named
JonBenet all happening on the day after Christmas. Although there are many theories about JonBenet,
evidence shows that it was most likely her brother. Jonbenet Ramsey was a beauty pageant queen that
was found dead on the day after Christmas in a storage room in her basement of her house in Boulder
Colorado. Jonbenet was born on August 6, 1990 in Atlanta Georgia, and was only 6 years old when
she was found dead. There was a ransom note left on the stairs addressed to the dad and when her
mom woke up and came down stairs she found it and it was asking for the exact amount of money of
the bonus that the dad got earlier that year. The note was 2 ½ pages long and was written from a
notepad from their house. When she was found she had various wounds, duct tape over her mouth,
garrote around her neck, and she was struck in the head which caused her to become unconscious
(Conrad). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First of all Jonbenet had an uncontrollable bed wetting problem and one night her mom lost her
temper and struck her in a way that accidentally killed her. Another theory is that her dad sexually
harassed her and after he was afraid that she would tell someone and he would get in trouble and later
killed her. In 2006 a thailand school teacher John Mark Karr confessed to killing Jonbenet Ramsey. In
his earlier years he had child pornography charges in the us. He was immediately dismissed as a
suspect because he was only after notoriety and fame. The last theory is that the brother was jealous of
all the attention she got and on christmas he got a train set and we stabbed her with it. There was two
holes on her neck and it matched up to the train track

The Aviation Industry Of China
AVIA3101 Individual Assignment
Si Yat PONG (z3440479)
Option 1
General
The aviation industry of China began for around half a century. As a developing country, the economy
of China has a massive increase, but the strictly controlled airspace and complicated regulation limited
the growth of China Aviation. Recently, new measures such as more efficient airspace approval
process, have improved the situation and giving hope that the market will rise. In fact, the market has
rapidly increased. As the China government giving ways to develop the aviation industry, more and
more have negotiated increased capacity with China, Australia is one of them.
In the past 10 years, the demand of travelling between Australia and China keep increasing at a high
rate, especially after 2009 (fig 1) [International Airline Activity Time Series. 2015]. Due to the rise in
demand, major airlines such as Qantas China Eastern and China Southern have a massive expansion in
terms of no. of flights and route network. With annual passengers of around 850k, China has become a
key source market for Australia. Airports are also trying to attract Chinese travelers. For example, in
Sydney airport every Chinese New Year, Terminal 1 would celebrate with Chinese Themed
declaration, launching simplified Chinese site and deployed Chinese speaking Ambassadors to assist
Chinese customers in Terminal 1. China aviation industry is absolutely one of the largest and fastest
growing economies. (fig 1)

His artwork has a happy feeling towards it, which I think was also influenced by the places he went
especially Shanghai. Roys artwork that I have seen, usually has a girl in it with tears under her eyes, or
sometimes she s smiling. I don t know if his life affected his artwork. That is my interpretation, I don t
see where his life affected his art. I can see he definitely put his life into his artwork though, if that
makes any sense. I think that I would recognize their artwork if displayed somewhere. But, Roy s
artwork is comic like and might not be noticeable. But I still think I would be able to notice it
somewhere because it unique compared to other comics you see. Most comics have like superheroes,
or Garfield. But he originated comics, and his are original.
Roy was influenced by artists like Daumier and Picasso. Peter, on the other hand, was influenced by
his mother, a fashion designer. She influenced him by leaving art supplies on their balconies of their

Identifying My Area Of Student Growth Since Undertaking...
My essay will outline the journey of identifying my area of student growth since undertaking this
Bachelor of Dementia Care degree and introductory units. Academic achievements, typically are
based on examination or assessment marks. As Cottrell (2013, pp. 12 13) shows, a quiz can identify
and evaluate a measurement of achievement particularly of a new student. I will endeavour to show,
with the use of differing methods or tools of measurement, they act as a catalyst to improve or impede
my academic development. Additionally, I will discuss examples and explain how I can apply the
outcomes of my development.
It has been thirty years since I completed by Higher School Certificate, receiving a mark measuring
my ability to recall prior years of secondary study. So, as I commence university to attain my degree,
how will I manage study, work and family commitments? Do I have the skills to undertake this so late
in my life? (Vivekananda Shores, 1996, p.10). Overwhelmed and anxious about what I had committed
myself to, the initial exhilaration of enrolling as a university student was replaced with anxiety.
Scanning through discussion boards provided affirmation of the anxieties I experienced. The Feedback
I received from one participant responded I feel that self doubt too (M. Bancroft, personal
communication, March 3, 2016) (Appendix A) this alerted me to an opportunity to abate my anxiety,
but also provided me with a tool to test my strategies and ideas.

Even though he was heavily out numbered he managed to defeat all of his rivals including Little Bill
with only one bullet left in his gun, this shows true courage and determination. In both films the man
with no name and William Munney give a very tough impression which are symbolised by certain
objects. The man with no name uses his poncho, which broadens him making him look larger and
more intimidating and chews tobacco to make himself look even harder. William Munney does not
have a certain object that makes him look tough perhaps from his hat, which disguises a majority of
his face and his long coat this signals his change back to a ruthless killer. The director uses low angle
camera shots to give the impression that he looks down on people and uses his superiority to daunt
people, this occurs in the final scene when he stands over Little Bill just before he shots him. Even
with their tough persona they are actually kind at heart and they show this when the man with no name

How Does Modern Life Evolve Over Millions Of Years Or Was...
Did modern life evolve over millions of years or was it created by God? The controversy started when
Charles Darwin published his book On the Origin of Species. His theory of evolution stated that all
life evolved from a single celled organism. However, creationists rejected this theory. They referenced
the Bible s Book of Genesis for the historical account of how life was created. But without a doubt,
there is undeniable evidence to support the fact that life on earth came from a common ancestor. With
the recent advances in both science and technology, scientists can use fossil records, genetic changes
and anatomical similarities to prove that life as we know it evolved from one common ancestor.
The remains and imprints of organisms found in earlier geological periods are still preserved in
sedimentary rocks. These fossil records allow scientists to look through vast periods of time and attest
to the fact that some species have transitional traits found in larger groups of organisms. This proves
that species evolved from a distant ancestor and were not fixed there by God. Animals such as apes
and the Archaeopteryx are evidence of the missing links and the gaps humanity has filled in the fossil
records. They are also examples of transitional species that have tied different groups of species
together through common traits and skeletal features. Fossil records also prove that single celled
organisms were succeeded by multi celled organisms which ties back to Charles Darwin

  • 2. Berserkers Research Paper Berserkers You never forget a close encounter with a wild animal bent on hunting you down for their next meal. It is one of the terrifying experiences you could ever have. Now imagine being approached by a stealthy creature with the face of a man and the head of a bear or wolf brandishing sword and shield. The creature wild eyed almost foaming at the mouth. Wouldn t that terrify you? This is a good description of the Berserker a Norse warrior who fought in a nearly uncontrollable, trance like fury, a characteristic which later gave rise to the English word berserk. Berserkers appear in many poems and sagas. They describe berserkers as ravenous men who kill, plunder, and loot indiscriminately. In later dates, Christian interpreters described ... • 3. Battle Of Midway Essay Define the Battle (who, when, where) On June 4, 1942, only six months after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the United States defeated Japan throughout a 4 day battle (until June 7) in one of the most decisive naval battles of World War II. This battle s location was primarily the island of Midway Atoll, which is roughly 1,300 miles northwest of Oahu, Hawaii. Recognitions in part to major advances in code breaking, the United States was able to preempt and counter Japan s planned ambush of its few remaining aircraft carriers, inflicting permanent damage on the Japanese Navy. An important turning point in the Pacific campaign, the victory allowed the United States and its allies to move into an offensive position. The Mission One of Japan s main goals during WWII was to remove the United States as a Pacific power in order to gain territory in East Asia. Japan hoped to defeat the US Pacific Fleet and use Midway as a base to attack Pearl ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You might think of this as The Battle of Midway, Round Two. Fought near the island of Saipan in the Marianas group, the Battle of the Philippine Sea set the rebuilt Japanese carrier force, commanded by Vice Admiral Jisaburo Ozawa, against Admiral Spruance s Fifth Fleet. Both navies had studied the Battle of Midway, and both had learned from it, but it was only the U.S. Navy that had created a carrier force that could advance deep into enemy territory and defeat both land based and carrier based air forces. In two days of multiple air battles, the Japanese lost over 90% of the aircraft that they had used against Spruance s carriers and surface ships. Philippine Sea was the last gasp of the Japanese fleet s carrier aviators. At the end of October 1944, after its defeat at the Battle of Leyte Gulf, the Japanese navy began using kamikaze (suicide) attacks in an effort to compensate for the defeat of its carrier ... • 6. Kurt Cobain Theory Kurt Cobain was found dead of an apparently self inflicted shotgun blast to the head. (Cross, 2014). Cobain was at a raise during his time, he pushed limits into his music, creating a grunge style influencing the fashion and music industry single handily. His band, Nirvana was the biggest and most significant band of his generation in the early 90s. He was only 27 years old at the time of his death, but the question is what lead the Nirvana rock star to suicide? Freud s psychodynamic theory of personality states the importance of early childhood development, and it could be said that childhood experiences could have possibly played a role in Cobain s suicide. On February 20, 1967, Cobain was born to be the center attention of his family, he was the first child. At three years old his parents birthed his younger sister, that s when things changed, and he didn t receive all the attention as he used to. Around the age of nine his parent s marriage went downhill and divorced, because of this Cobain s psychological development would become affected into his adolescent years. After the divorced Cobain was never in a stable home, jumping from living with father to his grandparents, aunts, and uncles houses. • 7. Contributions of Psychology to the Juvenile Justice System INTRODUCTION The contributions of psychology to the juvenile justice system are important and growing. In assembling this Handbook, however, our primary goal was not simply to overview most of these contributions. Rather, we approach this topic with the view that psychology s most important contributions to juvenile justice are interdisciplinary and empirical. One cannot expect to make meaningful contributions to our legal system without recognizing the nature and structure of applicable law. Within that context, however, are questions about why and how frequently adolescents become involved in offending, how long they continue, what influences serve as risk and protective factors, how such adolescents might be assessed and rehabilitated in relevant and effective ways, and how important information about human development, assessment, and intervention might best be conveyed to juvenile justice professionals. Many of these questions are clearly interdisciplinary in scope. This Handbook provides relevant information from different specializations within psychology, including clinical, developmental, educational, family, forensic, and social. But it also includes perspectives from other behavioral sciences (e.g., sociology, criminology), natural sciences (biology) and mental health professions (e.g., psychiatry, social work) in the attempt to identify the most important sources of information to address the major questions on which we focus. These questions are also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Mediation and Peacekeeping Agenda in International Relations MEDIATION AND PEACEKEEPING AGENDA In International Relations, mediation and peacekeeping are the very essence of what are international relations itself, international organizations and regional organization like the African Union. First established by the United Nations decades ago, it has played an outstanding role in the peaceful aim and determination of armed conflict around the world. It was at the end of the Cold War that it mostly reached its peak as many long term conflicts were finally coming to an end due to the political negotiations which were often broken but were successfully applied after strong mediation and peacekeeping effort. For this thesis of the Darfur conflict, to assess and examine the African Union s mediation and peacekeeping agenda, we must first understand and differentiate between peacemaking and peacekeeping. Then their role in the Darfur conflict could be analyzed and if they have had an outstanding role as in many others armed conflict. Definition of Mediation and Peacekeeping What is mediation? What is peacemaking? Peacemaking and mediation are deeply intertwine and cannot be defined without one another. But what is peacemaking? Peacemaking has been defined by many scholars and critics. For Douglas Noll, an expert in peacemaking and mediation specialized in difficult and intractable conflicts; he defined peacemaking as a complex concept as even peace can be defined in so many ways. But however he described peacemaking as a concept ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Analysis Of Boo Radley He just might be watching all the townspeople through their windows. Staring in the dark night. All anyone knows of him is what they have heard through rumors. Is all the gossip true, or is Boo Radley just a tall tale? In literature, authors use dynamic characters to leave readers asking questions and wanting more. Similar to how Harper Lee uses Boo Radley in her novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, to display tension throughout the story, by having him slowly transform from an ominous monster, to a true mystery, and eventually, a hero. From the start of the novel, Boo is automatically perceived as a horrific beast that preys on the innocent people of Maycomb County, yet everything anyone knows of the man is based off speculation. For instance, the narrator provides her questionable knowledge of Boo when she informs readers that he is, a malevolent phantom that is auspiciously known for lurking in the night to [peep] in [residents] windows (Lee 10). If this rumor about Boo is true, readers should have a growing concern for all the people in the town, especially because no one has a clue what Boo s appearance resembles. He has not left his home in the light of day for countless years. This man could be real trouble. Later, rumors seem to be confirmed by town gossip, Miss Stephanie Crawford when she recalls a time when she awoke in the middle of the night to find Boo s skull of a face staring right at her through her window (Lee 16). Even though Miss Stephanie is known to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Professional Training GENERAL CONCLUSION: This research which aimed at understanding if financial authority trainers are professionally and intellectually well equipped to instruct and assess adult learners has enabled us to attain some important achievements that we organized into two main groups: positive and negative. Such an appraisal was made possible by comparing financial authority trainers habits and actions with the principles of andragogy as described in Malcom Knowles works. Thus, we were positively impressed by their awareness of the fact that adult learners engaged in professional training should not be given a mark for fear to hinder his self esteem. Moreover, most of them knew that adults learning and assessment should rather be task based. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 14. Friar Relationship In Romeo And Juliet Have you ever had a father that wasn t actually your father? He was just a person who cared so much about your wellbeing that He was a father to you. William Shakespeare, author of Romeo and Juliet, shows how the relationship between the Friar and Romeo is Father and son even though they are not actually related and through Shakespeare s use of anger, forgetfulness, and care does He show that the Friar and Romeo have a paternal relationship for each other. The Friar use anger to show that he is a father to Romeo by saying, Holy Saint Francis, what change is here! (2.3.67), and Hath wash d thy sallow cheeks for Rosaline! (2.3.72). Why these quotes show that Friar is a father to Romeo is because fathers are supposed to care for who you love and teach you to love correctly. The love that Romeo feels for Rosaline is quick and not sustained. Friar, being just told this, reacts in anger because he moves on way to quickly and loves another dropping all thoughts on Rosaline, completely forgetting about that she ever existed. ... This was a better idea then trying to get Rosaline back. Also if Romeo had never moved on we would have never met Juliet to end the quarrel between the Montague and Capulet houses . These feelings are brought about by brand design, communication, environment and brand identity. Brand experience is majorly centered on branding than other product concepts like brand personality, attitudes, values, equity, and association. The most important thing for a consumer today is whether the brand can add value to their lives through positive experiences. Morrison and Crane (2009) argue that there is an emerging trend in consumer behavior and marketing with consumers purchasing products and services based on the experiences of what is being sold. Many researchers have concluded that customers look for services that will leave a positive experience in their lives. This has led to an increased interest to markets who want to give their clients a memorable experience. Brand experience leads to consumer trust, loyalty, and satisfaction. DIMENSIONS OF BRAND EXPERIENCE Brakus, et al., (2009), states that there are four aspects of the brand experience. The four dimensions are affective, behavioral, sensory and intellectual dimensions. AFFECTIVE DIMENSION Zarantonello and Schmitt (2010), concludes that the affective dimension consists of the feeling created by products and services and the emotional attachment of the consumers to these brands. They further suggest that when consumers have a greater affective brand experience they tend to think that the brand ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Our everyday realities are articulated mostly by what we see in the media. The role of advertising in this interpretation of reality is crucial. The target audience s self identification with the images being a basic prerequisite for an advertisement s effectiveness, makes advertising one of the most important factors in the building of behavior models and values systems. In Foucault s terms, relations of difference are social constructs belonging to social orders that contain hierarchies of power, defined, named and delimited by institutional discourses, to produce social practices. It is automatically assumed that because of the roles we are expected to play, that only the little boys would be interested in these types of sports. At such a young age, we have experienced gender inequality in sports. Little girls are then forced to join cheerleader teams. Early on, little girls are trained to stay in the background, and cheer on the men. They are forced to sit in the bleachers, stand on the sidelines, and be that nurturing, supportive woman that they will soon enough be in their adulthood. That is my interpretation, I don t see where his life affected his art. I can see he definitely put his life into his artwork though, if that makes any sense. I think that I would recognize their artwork if displayed somewhere. But, Roy s artwork is comic like and might not be noticeable. But I still think I would be able to notice it somewhere because it unique compared to other comics you see. Most comics have like superheroes, or Garfield. But he originated comics, and his are original. Roy was influenced by artists like Daumier and Picasso. Peter, on the other hand, was influenced by his mother, a fashion designer. She influenced him by leaving art supplies on their balconies of their Shanghai house. She encouraged him to use those supplies. She told him, Choose any balcony and medium, make a big mess and we ll clean up after you. Then, his encouragement didn t stop there. • 36. Identifying My Area Of Student Growth Since Undertaking... My essay will outline the journey of identifying my area of student growth since undertaking this Bachelor of Dementia Care degree and introductory units. Academic achievements, typically are based on examination or assessment marks. As Cottrell (2013, pp. 12 13) shows, a quiz can identify and evaluate a measurement of achievement particularly of a new student. I will endeavour to show, with the use of differing methods or tools of measurement, they act as a catalyst to improve or impede my academic development. Additionally, I will discuss examples and explain how I can apply the outcomes of my development. It has been thirty years since I completed by Higher School Certificate, receiving a mark measuring my ability to recall prior years of secondary study. So, as I commence university to attain my degree, how will I manage study, work and family commitments? Do I have the skills to undertake this so late in my life? (Vivekananda Shores, 1996, p.10). Overwhelmed and anxious about what I had committed myself to, the initial exhilaration of enrolling as a university student was replaced with anxiety. Scanning through discussion boards provided affirmation of the anxieties I experienced. The Feedback I received from one participant responded I feel that self doubt too (M. Bancroft, personal communication, March 3, 2016) (Appendix A) this alerted me to an opportunity to abate my anxiety, but also provided me with a tool to test my strategies and ideas. Even though he was heavily out numbered he managed to defeat all of his rivals including Little Bill with only one bullet left in his gun, this shows true courage and determination. In both films the man with no name and William Munney give a very tough impression which are symbolised by certain objects. The man with no name uses his poncho, which broadens him making him look larger and more intimidating and chews tobacco to make himself look even harder. William Munney does not have a certain object that makes him look tough perhaps from his hat, which disguises a majority of his face and his long coat this signals his change back to a ruthless killer. The director uses low angle camera shots to give the impression that he looks down on people and uses his superiority to daunt people, this occurs in the final scene when he stands over Little Bill just before he shots him. Even with their tough persona they are actually kind at heart and they show this when the man with no name helps a family escape from danger and William Munny protects the Scholfield Kid. Their tough guy image is dented when both are brutally assaulted by different groups of men, the man with no name is attacked by the rival family of the family he helped escape and William Munney by Little Bill and his gang. • 38. How Does Modern Life Evolve Over Millions Of Years Or Was... Did modern life evolve over millions of years or was it created by God? The controversy started when Charles Darwin published his book On the Origin of Species. His theory of evolution stated that all life evolved from a single celled organism. However, creationists rejected this theory. They referenced the Bible s Book of Genesis for the historical account of how life was created. But without a doubt, there is undeniable evidence to support the fact that life on earth came from a common ancestor. With the recent advances in both science and technology, scientists can use fossil records, genetic changes and anatomical similarities to prove that life as we know it evolved from one common ancestor. The remains and imprints of organisms found in earlier geological periods are still preserved in sedimentary rocks. These fossil records allow scientists to look through vast periods of time and attest to the fact that some species have transitional traits found in larger groups of organisms. This proves that species evolved from a distant ancestor and were not fixed there by God. Animals such as apes and the Archaeopteryx are evidence of the missing links and the gaps humanity has filled in the fossil records. They are also examples of transitional species that have tied different groups of species together through common traits and skeletal features. Fossil records also prove that single celled organisms were succeeded by multi celled organisms which ties back to Charles Darwin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
