Who Is Coach Boone
I m a winner. I m going to win. Coach Boone
I believe that if coach Yoast stayed as head coach and Herman Boone was his assistant, the team
would never become champions. Boone s coaching strategy is direct, simple, and authoritarian. He
clearly establishes a sense of urgency, creates a guiding tandem that consists of himself and Yoast,
communicates his vision adequately, removes the obstacles of team discord and lack of training,
systematically plans for and achieves wins on a game by game basis, avoids declaring victory
prematurely, and anchors changes in the team s culture. He asserts top layers and subordinates that
he is indisputably in charge. Boone communicates his vision to have a winning team.
Early in the movie, Boone states his opposition to the board s decision to replace Yoast with him,
citing an experience where someone at a previous job had done the same thing to him. When he
orders them to learn about each of their teammates, he is positioning them to solve their interracial
tensions but not trying to foist a solution upon them. However, I think this mix of different qualities
that both coaches possess, represents a perfect coach for the team (if combined in ... Show more

One of my favorite moments in the movie is where coach Boone wakes up everyone in the middle
of the night and takes them to Gettysburg for a run. When they arrive at the graveyard he says ...if
we do not come together on this hollow ground, we too will be destroyed like they were...
(Bruckheimer Yakin, 2000). In this movie football is a mean for behavior change. History has
taught us that we tend to remember winners, and that is why we remember the Titans. They not
only won the State Championship but with an invaluable help from their coaches the team
members managed to attain racial integration not only on the field but also in the

The Basic Three Functions Of Communication
OB Final Exam
1.Communications fulfils three main functions within an organization, name them and explain
their impact from an effective and ineffective perspective.
The basic three functions of communication in organization are to inform, persuade, and motivate.
Inform
The idea of informing within an organization is to provide data and information so that employees
can effectively complete their job. There are three ways through which information can travel:
Downward moving information: In this type, information moves from superiors to subordinates
and usually consists of directives or updates. For example, Executives of a company introduce a
new code of conduct to its managers and employees.
Upward moving information: Information ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It also eliminates job uncertainty among workers when they are fully informed.
Ineffective:
It creates gap between different process and departments in organization, decreases efficiency of
employees and increase redundancy since there is no proper understanding of role and
responsibilities. It also increases job uncertainty among workers when they are not informed about
the future and vision of the company.
Persuasion
Another essential function of communication would be the element of persuasion. It is the ability
to change the attitude or behaviour of employees, vendors, clients, etc. In general, persuasion is
used in an organizational environment effectively when the source of the information is trustworthy.
Effective:
Effective communication leads to Effective persuasion in an organization. It creates anenvironment
where employees trust upper level executives decisions. For example, if a company decides to
merge with another company, employees will have confidence that merger will not affect them
negatively. Confidence on thetop management creates loyal employees, who work more effectively
towards achieving company s goals
Ineffective:
Past experience of ineffective communication leads to lack of trust. For example, supposedly
theemployees had a past experience of company hiding its bad financial condition leading to
layoffs Employees will now be more insecure of their jobs leading to

Iran s Iran Nuclear Program And Us Israel Relationship
Executive Summery:
Iran s clerical regime with a highly complicated government structure is an adversary of the US
and its allies in the Middle East. While the historical hostility between the countries, is more than
the Iran s nuclear program, but now the center of debates are Iran s nuclear program and US Israel
relationship. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has reduced tensions between both
countries. But Israel and Saudi Arabia, two allies of the US and adversaries of Iran has opposed the
agreement. Iran is till considered a threat to the US national interest and security. The threats can t
be eliminated by only military means, but it requires a comprehensive strategy. It is important to
reduce the capability of Iran and change its intention. The best possible way to do this is supporting
a gradual political transition of power from an extremist religious leader to the Iranian nation.
Iran in a Glance:
It s important to understand a nation s history and culture to assess its intention, capabilities, threats
and strategies. Therefore, I would like to describe Iran s history, government structure, and key
institutions briefly.
Located in the Middle East, bordering the Gulf of Oman, the Persian Gulf, the Caspian Sea, Turkey,
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan, Iran is 1,648,195 sq km

Consequences of Recent Changes to Canada s Temporary Foreign Workers Policy The pace of
immigration in the contemporary scenario has increased significantly. Historically, movement of
people from rural areas to cities and under privileged nations to rich, affluent countries was a normal
phenomenon. As increasing poverty and unemployment in the modern world have forced many
poor workers in under privileged and developing countries to search opportunities elsewhere, the
demand in the developed countries like Canada have increased, especially for low wage, low skilled,
temporary workers. In Canada, the reluctance of many Canadians to accept low wage, low skilled,

People migrate in search of better economic prospects and opportunities. Many move to enjoy a
better lifestyle and improve standard of living. A segment migrates from the home country to find
a secure place where they can spend lives peacefully. Recently, the increasing pace of
globalization has prompted migrant workers to move from one country to another. Canada is a
preferred country for immigrants from developing and poor nations. Since founding of the country,
Canada has always allowed rather encouraged migration with the dual objective of expanding
country s population and to ensure an expanding and vibrant economy. Most of the Canadian
governments in the past have pursued polices to accomplish these objectives (Kelley Trebilcock

system . The system requires assigning points to interested migrants for their education level, labor
experience in specific occupations where the country faces shortages, and the ability to speak
national language, to name some important features. The potential migrants if meet the criteria are

I like the fact that he takes cheap objects that he finds and uses them to create these wonderful art
pieces. When I was looking at Jeff Koons artworks, I thought back to our tutorial discussions
/debates where we were arguing back and forth about what is art and what is not art. Many
people believe that Jeff Koons artwork is not considered art, however I believe that his artworks
are considered art because its his own creation and it is a new kind art that we have not seen
much of. From our lecture, Professor Brandon Vickerd talked a little about Jeff Koons, and he
stated that Some people would look at his work as pioneering and of major art historical
importance, while others view his work as kitsch: crass and based on cynical self merchandising.
(Taken from PowerPoint). By researching this artist, I found that basically anything could be
considered art as long as you make it your own, original and make it look interesting.

Freedom After 50 Years By Nelson A.denis Essay
Freedom Called After 50 Years
The book War Against All Puerto Ricans Revolution and Terror In America s Colony by Nelson
A.Denis, was called to freedom after fifty years, this untold story is about the life of Pedro Albizu
Campos and what he had went through while being the leader of helping Puerto Rico find their
freedom. He saw Puerto Rico not being able to have their freedom and independence and horribly
facing difficulties as a country, the Nationalist Party of Puerto Rico was in a rough position. Pedro
Albizu became the first Puerto Rican man to graduate from Harvard Law School. As time went on
he graduated and after he graduated from law school, he came to Puerto Rico to become an activist
for suffering country to fight for what they deserved. Pedro watched his country become
unsuccessful during the difficult events, he knew when he was old enough he wanted to make a
change. During the war against the United States, Puerto Rico became weak as they began to run
out of ideas to keep each other safe.Violence took over the island, assassins were sent to kill and
repeatedly kill. During this time period President Harry Truman was killed by these assassins.
Gunfights of no reasoning appeared in towns, police stations and post offices were being burnt
down from left to right. In order to overcome these violent events, the US army developed
thousands of troops and bombed two towns. Which, landed the first time in history that the US
government had bombed their own citizens.

Negotiation, Game Theory and Cultural Resource Management...
The final article is Negotiation, Game Theory and Cultural Resource Management presented by K.
M. Sullivan in 1986. This paper is about game theory and negotiation processes. It refers
specifically to the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service s approach to cultural
resource management. It has implications for academic researchers in dealings with Aboriginal
people. In New South Waleswhere environmental impact assessment is required, the Service has
the right to require archaeological survey to be carried out for Aboriginal sites. Such work is done
at the expense of the developer who engages consultant archaeologists. If sites exist, the developer
must either show that they will not be adversely affected, or must apply for consent to destroy the
sites. Such consent is given only after any further detailed archaeological investigation and in
consultation with local Aboriginal people, whose agreement is sought for research, mitigation or
destruction. Academic research which in any way damages a site must be the subject of an
application which must meet both academic and conservation standards and requirements, and
must have Aboriginal consent. During these processes, there are many issues which could result in
various costs to the developer. Negotiation is required to resolve conflict over sites, which is
essentially land use conflict. The aim of the Service is to protect sites, but in resolving the conflict
surrounding any one site, the long term general

Thomas Aquinas s Argument That God Is One
In Summa Theologiae, part I, question 11, article 3, Thomas Aquinas argues that God is one. In
order to support his argument that God is one , Aquinas gives three different proofs. The first
proof is based on God s simplicity, the second proof is based on God s perfection, and the third
proof is based on the unity of the world. In this essay, I will analyze Aquinas s argument in which
he explains that God is one based on his three proofs. I will discuss each of Aquinas s proofs and
determine their effectiveness. To begin his argument, Aquinas states that it can be shown from
three sources that God is one. The claim God is one means that there can only be one God
because God is simple, perfect, and unique. The first proof which demonstrates God is one is
based on His simplicity. The simplicity of God refers to the fact that he is not made of parts.
There is no way to break him down into categories because he is not composed or divisible by any
physical or metaphysical means (Section). Aquinas uses Socrates as an... Show more content on

All things that exist are ordered in some way. Many things are reduced into one order by one
which is better than being reduced by many. Being reduced by one creates a more meaningful
and specific ordering (Section). The best way to categorize is to appeal to a single standard.
This single standard being God, God is the one thing anything can be compared to because he is
perfect. Therefore, there is a single ordering of all things that exist. The unity of that ordering
must be because of a single cause of that order, which is God. The unity of that ordering must be
from a single cause because multiple causes would produce a unity of ordering only by accident.
Aquinas defends that the thing which reduces all into one order should only be one because this
thing is most perfect. God is the one that provides the ordering of all things, therefore God is

Interracial Adoption Essay
Interracial Adoption There are millions of children without parents in this world. This number
is growing fast due to the fact that many parents might not be able to take care of their child or
they put the child up for adoption. Many people know that interracial adoptions have become
more popular. The biggest problem is many people think parents looking for a child should only
be able to adopt a child of the same race. This does not matter as long as they can raise the child
like it is their own, give it the love it needs and raise it to their best ability. Interracial adoptions
should be allowed because many children want a happy home and family and to live a happy life.
Interracial adoptions go way back starting in the 1950 s. It all started with white children being up
for adoption, but with World War II ending many war children were getting put up for adoption
and the number increased. Jaegoo Lee states In the year 1995, the number of interracial
adoptions was about 1,000 but in 2001 it went up to 8,000 children (Lee 122). That is a 7,000
difference in number of children adopted in just six years. In 2011 over 9,319 children were
adopted internationally into the U.S. from China and South Africa (Lee 122). During a vast
period of interracial adoptions, they were reaching up to 45,000 children being adopted but
today it has dropped dramatically. Many countries opened up to placing children abroad, but
now they have closed again; these countries include Russia, China, and countries in eastern
Europe and Africa (Bartholet 22). Some countries like China make people pay a fee of $3000
$5000 for a child. Many people have argued to have a systematic tax on adoption so parents
adopting would have to send a few thousand dollars per adoption to support families in sending
countries (Bartholet). When parents are looking to adopt a child the adoption facility looks at
their records. They make sure that they can provide for the child and themselves. They also make
sure they do not come from a bad background. They also make sure the parents will love the child
as if it was their own and always show the child they love them. They will make sure the child
knows that the adoptive parents love them (Bartholet).

Literary Analysis Of Emily Dickinson s To A Heart In Sea
ID #1 Futile the winds
To a Heart in port
Done with the Compass
Done with the Chart!
The second stanza of Emily Dickinson s Wild Nights Wild Nights! , portrays a sense of romantic
longing between the two lovers. In this poem, there is a nautical type of scenery being displayed,
especially in the last two stanzas. This is true because, the second stanza references: compasses,
charts, seas and ports. The first line states, Futile the winds , futile meaning pointless. The narrator
is stating that no matter how hard the winds blow, or how rough the seas get, her love is strong and
she is not going anywhere. When the narrator says, To a Heart in port , it kind of creates a setting
of a lovers embrace. Every woman desires to be sought after and longed for. The narrator is no
longer searching for love, because she has found love, therefore her heart is in port or it is
docked. The narrator talks about how she is done with the compass and with the chart in the last
two lines. She is giving up all control for this person, she is free to love and to be loved. She does
not need a compass or a chart because she is not looking for anything anymore. She has found her
love and her voyage is now over. She has found her Wild Night .
ID #4they don t fit into little petty places, these hips are free hips. Lucille Clifton s homage to
my hips, is all about women s empowerment. Throughout the poem, we see this reoccurring
symbol of hips. Clifton is talking about women s hips in general, not just hers. The hips in this
poem symbolize how strong and powerful women are. How women can accomplish anything if
they set their mind to it. These three lines talk about how not every woman has a perfect body
and how each of them are different. These hips do not fit into society s standards for women.
These hips are different, not perfect, but they are beautiful in their own way, they don t fit into
little petty places. In the poem it says, these hips are free hips which explains how women are
free to make their own decisions. They are free to have whatever kind of body type they want,
without being shamed for being different. Clifton uses the imagery of the hips to show how women
are huge role models for

The Internet and User Content Essay
In the January 18th, 2012 New York Times article The False Ideals of the Web , Jaron Lanier
attempts to take a very difficult issue one that many view in terms of black or white and find some
middle ground. Unfortunately, what he ends up doing in the article is create an either/or situation,
rather than find any middle ground. In the end we are left in the same situation that we started
with. In the first paragraph, Jaron appeals to the pathos of the reader; he assumes that the reader is
of the generation that has grown up in the digital age, thus they would agree that the most important
aspect of the internet is the people who contribute to it. However, there is no reason to ever assume
that. Some people may actually believe that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He assumes that the reader will accept his word that the legislation deals with this issue using
the mentioned method. In a way, this can be considered a bandwagon fallacy, in that we re
supposed to accept that because he and his colleagues think the bill uses draconion methods, it
does in fact use them. Without support for this statement, there is no reason to ever believe what
the author has said. In addition, the author appeals to the readers ethos, as well as an appeal to
authority, in that we re expected to accept the opinions of these people, simply because the
author says we should. The author then goes on to state, Those rare tech companies that have
come out in support of SOPA are not merely criticized but barred from industry events and
subject to boycotts. We, the keepers of the flame of free speech, are banishing people for their
speech. The result is a chilling atmosphere, with people afraid to speak their minds. It s hard to
see, but this is definitely a fallacy of equivocation. The author is comparing the corporations who
wish to make it illegal to upload user content if it contains anything they have made. Under this
model, electronic musicians would not be allowed to make the music they make, simply because
they use samples from other artists. Under this model, Apple would not be allowed to distribute
their operating system, simply because they have used code from FreeBSD.

Erikson s Crisis Theory And Marcia s Four Stages Of...
Abstract
In this essay, Erikson Identity Crisis theory and Marcia s four stages of Identity Statuses
demonstrates how adolescences analyze and make decisions about one s identity. Many
adolescences struggle with decisions about where they fit in. Also, in this essay I will explain
how you know you are LGBTQIA and I will discuss why so many adolescence of LGBTQIA
have a hard time fitting in with society. The intent of this essay is to discuss the problems of
LGBTQIA adolescences and why the impact of LGBTQIA is mainly in adolescent ages and the
discrimination based on sexual orientation gender identity.
Adolescence is a dynamically evolving theoretical construct informed through physiologic,
psychosocial, temporal, and cultural lenses. The most readily recognized hallmark of adolescence
is the pubertal metamorphosis or chest rating the visible transformation of a child into an adult.
Development occurs both within the individual and through interactions with the environment. At
the stage of adolescences, it s hard for teenagers to figure out their sexual identity because girls
menstruate cycle begins, the level of adult hormones increases, the pubic hairs begin to grow,
development of sex interest increase, and one begins to wonder who they really are. The process
of accepting one s sexual orientation is particularly difficult for adolescents who identify as
LGBTQIA and face that is not necessarily accepting of anything outside traditional expectation of

The Pros And Cons Of Hacking
Hackers: Control and Property The ethical issues surrounding hacking, stem from several sources
mainly dealing with order and control, and information ownership. What is difficult to decipher
from all the media hoopla surrounding the terms, hacker and hacking is both the simultaneous

made and was appropriately called Hackers. The term and all that it implies has truly entered our

Hackers , on the other hand probably view the system more abstractly, as a resource waiting to
be used at the end of a telephone line, a challenge beckoning them, calling to them irresistibly,
whispering to them, There will be no damage done and no one will be the wiser. On either side
of this debate is the concept of free information. What is information anyway? Can it really be
free? The Internet is a complex series of systems of information in which the circulation and
distribution of these systems can create even more complex institutional relationships among the
systems. Information, in and of itself should be available to anyone, in theory. Yet there is the
other side, in which a terrorist can hack into the U.S. Defense Department or NASA databases and
start a nuclear war. There must be some middle ground that can be reached in which the ideal of
free information and the protection of property rights can coexist in harmony. What solution we

The Success Of Martin Luther King Jr.
There were many great leaders of the civil rights movement. Just a few are Martin Luther King
Jr., Rosa Parks, Malcolm X, and Andrew Goodman. These people helped make the civil rights
movement become a reality and a success. These people risked and sometimes lost their lives in
the name of freedom and equality. Martin Luther King Jr. is remembered famously for his

Synopsis Of The Summer Spring
Seasons
That time of year is here. The weather has begun to change from the blistering July heat, to the
cool evenings of September. There is no longer the need to flip channel after channel on the
television to find something to watch since it is finally football season. The vivid green leaves
are beginning to fade out and become different shades of brown, orange, and red. Leaves begin to
fall from the upmost branches of the tree and float their way down to the ground. Kids gather
around to collect the fallen leaves and jump into the enormous pile created by doing the chore of
raking. Taste buds begin to water as the thought of warm cider and sweet pumpkin pie comes into
the picture. The ladies begin to get out their favorite sweater, pair of jeans, and boots to wear out
as the cooler nights approach. While every season has its own sense of wonder, autumn is the best
one of them all.
The paramount of this season is the plethora of activities that go on in a short amount of time.
From the end of August to November, you can almost catch every high school kid on a Friday night
in a stadium decked out in latest costume related to that game s student section theme. Whether it s
a tacky tourist uniform or your American patriot, you can always see an eye catching outfit. After
their years of experience of high school football, the real test of dedication comes to the Saturday
games. Tailgating before the games is the excitement that brings everyone together. Leading into late

of emotional detachment as a psychopathic syndrome (Scholte 1).
The act of touching and hugging is a big theme in Cold Little Bird. One of the first things Jonah
refuses his parents is touching or hugging him. When Martin was finally fed up with his son s
rejection and forced a hug, Jonah froze and said he did not understand why his father kept
refusing to allow him his basic request. What is alarming is how Jonah threatens to tell the school
counselor that his parents touch him when he does not want them to. As a result of the reader
knowing the truth about the touching and how the school will interpret the child s words, Martin
and the reader are horrified at the implications the youth is making. This would lead both the
reader and Martin to question just how normal the child is in fact. It might also lead one to
wonder whether another adult has molested Jonah because ten year olds are usually not aware of
such issues. Levy describes the emotional detachment and not wanting to be touched as the fault of
Martin. He explains that Martin acts detached and uses the example of the bedroom scene where
Martin almost seems mechanical (Levy 1). I do not entirely agree with this because Martin appears

The Effects Of Climate Change On The Environment Of...
Climate change is a current event that many debate. The National Climactic Data Center reported
that, as of June 2012, the average combined global land and ocean temperature was 0.63 degrees
Celsius higher than the twentieth century average. This is the fourth highest temperature ever
recorded. Many credible sources, such as a number of United Nation bodies, the International Panel
of Climate Change, and academic scholars state that climate change cause resource scarcity. A lack
of resources can cause an increase in violent ethnic conflicts, and, in dire circumstances, can even
bring about crimes against humanity and genocide. Genocide and crimes against humanity in
Rwanda, Darfur, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have been... Show more content on

If climate change is not real, than the whole argument about climate change causing resource
scarcity and violent ethnic conflict is invalid. However, there is a lot of evidence that shows
climate change is a real problem. A study by The State of Climate Global Analysis for June 2012
shows that there is evidence for climate change. The temperature of the land and water is above
average, and the number of temperature abnormalities continues to rise. Sunga (2014) writes, that
CNN reported July 2012 was estimated to have been the hottest month for the continental United
States since record keeping began in 1895. (p. 4) A report from the Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change warned that eleven of the last twelve years (from 1995 2006) were among the
twelve warmest years for surface temperature since 1895. It also noted that the ocean has grown to
be over 3000 meters deep, and that average snow coverage and mountain glacier mass had declined.
After being shown the evidence, one probably thinks that climate change is a reality. However, the
fact that climate change exists does not mean that it causes violent ethnic conflict and genocide.
Not many studies have been done on a link between climate change and violent ethnic conflict. Yet,
there has been growing concern in the international community and academic literature that climate
change could have an effect on violent conflict in general. In 1982, the UN General Assembly
created the World Charter for

In the movie Soul Surfer, the shark used the sneak attack. A sneak attack is when a shark comes

All are as equally as painful just some come out of nowhere. The next attack is called a Bump

bumps the human before the attack. The shark bites because it doesn t get a feel or doesn t know

Life Liberty And The Pursuit Of The American Dream
Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These are the freedoms of the American Dream. These
freedoms were not afforded to the colonists in Great Britain which caused a mass exodus to the

which later manifested into the 50 United States.
Life as we know it was not the life of the colonist. These colonist were shaken by the religious

topics of sports. Sports is arguably one of the most entertaining and hyped up activities in the whole
world for it creates action packed thrills, sad moments, and insane tricks that provides quality
entertainmentand fun times with friends and family. If there was 2 people feeling lonely and
bored in their house with absolutely nothing to do and are willing to do something proactive with

lousy.Media portrayed sports as a fun and entertaining activity to watch and make conversation

helps provide something to look forward to in the near future, and brings friends and family

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the term referred to as a stroke is defined
as a cerebrovascular accident. This occurs when the blood vessel has a disturbance in its normal
flow of blood, usually caused by a clot or rupture in the blood vessel. Following this sudden
blockage in the arteries, the brain first starts to lose the exchange of oxygen, nutrients, and vital
components which keep it performing optimally, thus leading to death of brain cells (World Health

The Wonderous Mystery of Black Holes
Just a hundred years ago in 1915 was the time Einstein created his theories of General Relativity,
thus the makings of what is known today. These theories helped predict that black holes actually
occupy the universe vastly (Wiki authors). Because black holes are virtually invisible to the
human eye, since not even light can escape their clutches, it is hard to understand something that
can t be seen or even assume it exists. Though the concept of black holes can be traced back to
1795, to Pierre Simon Laplace, who originally proposed the idea. It was Karl Schwarzchild to be
the first to start proving black holes exist from the research of Einstein and others (Freudenrich).
This was just the start of black holes becoming a major focus of astronomers and astrophysicists
globally.
The common misconception of black holes is that they are a hole in space, but the fact is, they are
a dense orb of matter that continuously grows and consumes. Popular believe is that a black hole is
a gateway through time and space but that is not the case. All someone would find at the center
of a black hole would be a dense orb a matter called the singularity, or core (Freudenrich). Black
holes do in a way distort time and space because of their immense mass yet one would die and be
burnt to a crisp before even coming close to reaching the highly dense core. If watched from the
earth, it would take an infinite amount of time to be consumed by and become a part of a black

Why Did The Tang And The Song Dynasties Were Considered...
The Tang and the Song Dynasties were considered the Golden Age of China. These two dynasties
came just after the Han, which is another very successful Dynasty, but somehow these two seem to
top it. It was due to many reasons that the Tang and the Song were considered the Golden Age, one
main reason being the Silk Road. The Silk Road was a transcontinental trade network connecting
Chinato the Empires living in the Western part of Asia, Africa, and Europe. It was an extremely
successful part of the Chinese economy, and improved communication tremendously with China
and its Western neighbors. For China, the Silk Road allowed them to gain different things like
horses, persian rugs, and tapestries, while they exported things such as textiles, porcelain, silk, and
paper. Other reasons these Dynasties were considered the Golden Age included the rising economy,
advanced government, and the rising population specifically in cities. The Silk Road and trade
include the people of one of the social classes of China during this time: merchants. Merchants in
the Song dynastywere considered to be the lowest social class, besides slaves, due to the idea that
they took advantage of other s labor for their own profit.
These two very successful dynasties also relied heavily on their religion to keep the people

Narcissistic Personality Disorder Paper
Narcissism
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of
their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. (Mayo
Clinic, 2014) Like other personality disorders, narcissists have traits that cause them to feel and
behave in socially distressing ways, limiting their ability to function in important areas of life,
such as school, work, and relationships. What may not be apparent to the outside eye is that
there is a very fragile and friable self esteem that is very thin skinned. Those with this disorder
think very highly of themselves and have a hard time seeing anyone else s views, because they
believe their way is the best way. They have self centered fantasies that are high and wide of actual
reality. Receiving criticism for them, even in the slightest, can be so detrimental. You may never
see the extreme sensitivity to the criticism because it is often kept so quiet and hidden from others.
It can sometimes be difficult to distinguish a true narcissistic person apart from a person who is

Advantages Of The French Presidential System
France
1.After reading about Britain s parliamentary system, as well having a familiarity with the United
States presidential system, the French semi presidential system is more effective than the United
State s system, and I would prefer this system. The semi presidential system is a bit more
complicated than every other system I have learned about. The French system uses a mixture of the
premier as well as the president. Under the president is the cabinet and ministries. The president
serves as a guide for the nations versus a supreme leader (Roskin 87 8). I would prefer this system
to the United States system. This is because of the advantages of the semi presidential system. Some
of the advantages include the fact that the president and the parliament do not serve the same
amount of time on their terms. If there are people serving on each side who are not serving to
the best of their ability, they can be taken out of power. It would not be at the same time, which
is an advantage because the ideas of the new person serving could work with the ideas of the
person serving along with them. This way, a whole fresh set of new ideas does not come in at
one time. The president currently can serve two consecutive five year terms, while the prime
minister has no outlined term limits. For the prime minister to stay in power they must maintain
the support of the National Assembly. (Roskin 80 82). There are new ideas flowing in either
every five years or every ten. This is just one advantage to this system. Another advantage to the
semi presidential system is the multitude of ideas that are able to come through. There are so
many people who are able to contribute to the semi presidential system, that every voter s idea
should be represented. On the other hand, a disadvantage to the semi presidential system is the fact
that there are multiple representatives. The multitude of representatives can have too many ideas,
and it can be hard to get things accomplished when all of their ideas are pinned against each other.
Overall, I would prefer this method of governance because despite the multitude of ideas, more is
able to get accomplished.

Curwen states: That thoughts can lead to emotions and behaviour; and that emotional disorders
arise from negatively biased thinking (which lead to unhelpful emotions and behaviours); and that
emotional disorders can be helped by changing such thinking (Curwen.B, 2000). Amy s problems

Amy s relationship with Claire is suffering as Amy feels that Claire is fed up with her behaviour
(line 96). Amy is suffering re current dreams which are also linked with her post traumatic stress
disorder, the dreams are causing Amy to scream and cry (line 97). Claire does tell Amy that she
loves her but Amy does not consciously believe the counter evidence and dismisses it which feeds
her core belief. Amy s negative automatic thoughts cause Amy to fear danger, this is shown on
lines 84 93, her negative automatic thoughts cause Amy to become hyper vigilant. When out and
about she constantly looks out for danger, which is causing Amy to become anxious. Amy is
avoiding driving as she feels that it s not safe for her to drive, Amy has no counter evidence to
support this thought. The accident has changed Amy s original core beliefs, that the world is safe,
she s loved and she has control. Her negative thoughts, emotions and behaviours are maintaining the
problem, causing a vicious circle. The steps of cognitive behavioural therapy that Amy needs to
change her core beliefs and negative behaviour are taught in two main steps. The first stage of
therapy is verbal technique, which will attempt to teach Amy to cast doubt on her core beliefs, this
is done by talking to the therapist about her thoughts and feeling at that present time, this will help
Amy make a connection herself about her feelings and thoughts. The

CHINESE TAKE OUT
While the kids were busy playing games on their new Xbox 360, I walked to the back of the cabin
to order the solitary book on Dylan s reading list that I didn t own. After Lynn moved out I realized
there was no need for the queen size bed and decided to downsize to a twin size murphy bed. I called
Normanskill Self Storage on Delaware Avenue in Albany. They sent a two man moving crew
with a van to break the bed down and remove it from the cabin. They delivered the bed and a few
other boxed items to their storehouse where I had rented a 200 foot square climate control unit. I
thought about giving the bed away but by storing it I could easily move it back to the cabin in
case it is needed in the future. By downsizing I was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This small one person operation has a storefront facade shaped in the likeness of a barn. I know
if I stepped into the front door of this establishment the boys wouldn t be able to pry me away
for at least an hour. Once inside the shopper realizes that the store has a terrific variety of genres
of manuscripts. In short, everything you could ever want in terms of stock could be found at
the Book Barn. Sometimes you have to dig and pick through large boxes and bins to find
something you are interested in purchasing, but for the most part the shelves are cataloged in
library style and easy to search. The prices are not the best I ve ever seen but they are reasonable.
The owner, Caleb Spencer, is picky in terms of the condition of the books he acquires for resale
because they are in tip top shape. It s hard to say at this point how often the stock turns over, but
I have barely made a dent in browsing through the thousands of volumes. Caleb informs me he
doesn t acquire books from individuals and has accumulated his stock in part by buying out 17
other stores over the years. Since I have spent hundreds of dollars there over the past 15 years,
Caleb would order any book for me for the lowest cost possible. But saving time at this point
overrides saving money.
As for Mykle, his school does not assign a summer reading list but they request the parents get
involved in their children s educations.

Ezekiel s Vision And Prophetic Declaration Of A New Temple
Introduction Ezekiel s vision and prophetic declaration of a new temple is among the most
debatable text within the Old Testament. In the twenty fifth year of Ezekiel s exile, God
instructed him to look and listen carefully by paying close attention to everything that he was
shown. Not only was he supposed to see, hear and grasp, he also had to provide this information
to Israel (Ez 40:4) . The vision was to provide hope, a spiritual renewal and a future depiction of
Israel s restoration.
Although the prophet Ezekiel, in chapters 40 48, delineated an imaginative depiction of a future
temple, ancient and modern scholars view the text as problematic and devise exceptional challenges
in its interpretation. Both scholars and theologians endeavor ... Show more content on

Understanding biblical prophecy will help to dispel most questions pertaining to who the text was
written for and for what manner, eschatological suppositions, and present and future application.
Secondly, it is important to understand biblical prophecy and Scripture so that a connection can be
drawn between the Old and New Testament, and how it relates to Christ and his impending return.
Many parishioners desire to comprehend what will take place during the end times, obtain a
clearer picture of how the Millennial kingdom will look, and what role will they assume as a
Christian. Being able to put the pieces in a logical sequence will help them to understand those
things in which they do not

  • 2. Who Is Coach Boone I m a winner. I m going to win. Coach Boone I believe that if coach Yoast stayed as head coach and Herman Boone was his assistant, the team would never become champions. Boone s coaching strategy is direct, simple, and authoritarian. He clearly establishes a sense of urgency, creates a guiding tandem that consists of himself and Yoast, communicates his vision adequately, removes the obstacles of team discord and lack of training, systematically plans for and achieves wins on a game by game basis, avoids declaring victory prematurely, and anchors changes in the team s culture. He asserts top layers and subordinates that he is indisputably in charge. Boone communicates his vision to have a winning team. Early in the movie, Boone states his opposition to the board s decision to replace Yoast with him, citing an experience where someone at a previous job had done the same thing to him. When he orders them to learn about each of their teammates, he is positioning them to solve their interracial tensions but not trying to foist a solution upon them. However, I think this mix of different qualities that both coaches possess, represents a perfect coach for the team (if combined in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When they arrive at the graveyard he says ...if we do not come together on this hollow ground, we too will be destroyed like they were... (Bruckheimer Yakin, 2000). In this movie football is a mean for behavior change. History has taught us that we tend to remember winners, and that is why we remember the Titans. They not only won the State Championship but with an invaluable help from their coaches the team members managed to attain racial integration not only on the field but also in the ... The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has reduced tensions between both countries. But Israel and Saudi Arabia, two allies of the US and adversaries of Iran has opposed the agreement. Iran is till considered a threat to the US national interest and security. The threats can t be eliminated by only military means, but it requires a comprehensive strategy. It is important to reduce the capability of Iran and change its intention. The best possible way to do this is supporting a gradual political transition of power from an extremist religious leader to the Iranian nation. Iran in a Glance: It s important to understand a nation s history and culture to assess its intention, capabilities, threats and strategies. Therefore, I would like to describe Iran s history, government structure, and key institutions briefly. • 9. Negotiation, Game Theory and Cultural Resource Management... The final article is Negotiation, Game Theory and Cultural Resource Management presented by K. M. Sullivan in 1986. This paper is about game theory and negotiation processes. It refers specifically to the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service s approach to cultural resource management. It has implications for academic researchers in dealings with Aboriginal people. In New South Waleswhere environmental impact assessment is required, the Service has the right to require archaeological survey to be carried out for Aboriginal sites. Such work is done at the expense of the developer who engages consultant archaeologists. If sites exist, the developer must either show that they will not be adversely affected, or must apply for consent to destroy the sites. Such consent is given only after any further detailed archaeological investigation and in consultation with local Aboriginal people, whose agreement is sought for research, mitigation or destruction. Academic research which in any way damages a site must be the subject of an application which must meet both academic and conservation standards and requirements, and must have Aboriginal consent. During these processes, there are many issues which could result in various costs to the developer. Negotiation is required to resolve conflict over sites, which is essentially land use conflict. The aim of the Service is to protect sites, but in resolving the conflict surrounding any one site, the long term general ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Thomas Aquinas s Argument That God Is One In Summa Theologiae, part I, question 11, article 3, Thomas Aquinas argues that God is one. In order to support his argument that God is one , Aquinas gives three different proofs. The first proof is based on God s simplicity, the second proof is based on God s perfection, and the third proof is based on the unity of the world. In this essay, I will analyze Aquinas s argument in which he explains that God is one based on his three proofs. I will discuss each of Aquinas s proofs and determine their effectiveness. To begin his argument, Aquinas states that it can be shown from three sources that God is one. The claim God is one means that there can only be one God because God is simple, perfect, and unique. The first proof which demonstrates God is one is based on His simplicity. The simplicity of God refers to the fact that he is not made of parts. There is no way to break him down into categories because he is not composed or divisible by any physical or metaphysical means (Section). Aquinas uses Socrates as an... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All things that exist are ordered in some way. Many things are reduced into one order by one which is better than being reduced by many. Being reduced by one creates a more meaningful and specific ordering (Section). The best way to categorize is to appeal to a single standard. This single standard being God, God is the one thing anything can be compared to because he is perfect. Therefore, there is a single ordering of all things that exist. The unity of that ordering must be because of a single cause of that order, which is God. The unity of that ordering must be from a single cause because multiple causes would produce a unity of ordering only by accident. Aquinas defends that the thing which reduces all into one order should only be one because this thing is most perfect. God is the one that provides the ordering of all things, therefore God is ... • 11. Interracial Adoption Essay Interracial Adoption There are millions of children without parents in this world. This number is growing fast due to the fact that many parents might not be able to take care of their child or they put the child up for adoption. Many people know that interracial adoptions have become more popular. The biggest problem is many people think parents looking for a child should only be able to adopt a child of the same race. This does not matter as long as they can raise the child like it is their own, give it the love it needs and raise it to their best ability. Interracial adoptions should be allowed because many children want a happy home and family and to live a happy life. Interracial adoptions go way back starting in the 1950 s. It all started with white children being up for adoption, but with World War II ending many war children were getting put up for adoption and the number increased. Jaegoo Lee states In the year 1995, the number of interracial adoptions was about 1,000 but in 2001 it went up to 8,000 children (Lee 122). That is a 7,000 difference in number of children adopted in just six years. In 2011 over 9,319 children were adopted internationally into the U.S. from China and South Africa (Lee 122). During a vast period of interracial adoptions, they were reaching up to 45,000 children being adopted but today it has dropped dramatically. Many countries opened up to placing children abroad, but now they have closed again; these countries include Russia, China, and countries in eastern Europe and Africa (Bartholet 22). Some countries like China make people pay a fee of $3000 $5000 for a child. Many people have argued to have a systematic tax on adoption so parents adopting would have to send a few thousand dollars per adoption to support families in sending countries (Bartholet). When parents are looking to adopt a child the adoption facility looks at their records. They make sure that they can provide for the child and themselves. They also make sure they do not come from a bad background. They also make sure the parents will love the child as if it was their own and always show the child they love them. They will make sure the child knows that the adoptive parents love them (Bartholet). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Literary Analysis Of Emily Dickinson s To A Heart In Sea ID #1 Futile the winds To a Heart in port Done with the Compass Done with the Chart! The second stanza of Emily Dickinson s Wild Nights Wild Nights! , portrays a sense of romantic longing between the two lovers. In this poem, there is a nautical type of scenery being displayed, especially in the last two stanzas. This is true because, the second stanza references: compasses, charts, seas and ports. The first line states, Futile the winds , futile meaning pointless. The narrator is stating that no matter how hard the winds blow, or how rough the seas get, her love is strong and she is not going anywhere. When the narrator says, To a Heart in port , it kind of creates a setting of a lovers embrace. Every woman desires to be sought after and longed for. The narrator is no longer searching for love, because she has found love, therefore her heart is in port or it is docked. The narrator talks about how she is done with the compass and with the chart in the last two lines. She is giving up all control for this person, she is free to love and to be loved. She does not need a compass or a chart because she is not looking for anything anymore. She has found her love and her voyage is now over. She has found her Wild Night . ID #4they don t fit into little petty places, these hips are free hips. Lucille Clifton s homage to my hips, is all about women s empowerment. Throughout the poem, we see this reoccurring symbol of hips. Clifton is talking about women s hips in general, not just hers. The hips in this poem symbolize how strong and powerful women are. How women can accomplish anything if they set their mind to it. These three lines talk about how not every woman has a perfect body and how each of them are different. These hips do not fit into society s standards for women. These hips are different, not perfect, but they are beautiful in their own way, they don t fit into little petty places. In the poem it says, these hips are free hips which explains how women are free to make their own decisions. They are free to have whatever kind of body type they want, without being shamed for being different. Clifton uses the imagery of the hips to show how women are huge role models for ... Also, in this essay I will explain how you know you are LGBTQIA and I will discuss why so many adolescence of LGBTQIA have a hard time fitting in with society. The intent of this essay is to discuss the problems of LGBTQIA adolescences and why the impact of LGBTQIA is mainly in adolescent ages and the discrimination based on sexual orientation gender identity. Adolescence is a dynamically evolving theoretical construct informed through physiologic, psychosocial, temporal, and cultural lenses. The most readily recognized hallmark of adolescence is the pubertal metamorphosis or chest rating the visible transformation of a child into an adult. Development occurs both within the individual and through interactions with the environment. At the stage of adolescences, it s hard for teenagers to figure out their sexual identity because girls menstruate cycle begins, the level of adult hormones increases, the pubic hairs begin to grow, development of sex interest increase, and one begins to wonder who they really are. Scholte in a different article defines the state of emotional detachment as a psychopathic syndrome (Scholte 1). The act of touching and hugging is a big theme in Cold Little Bird. One of the first things Jonah refuses his parents is touching or hugging him. When Martin was finally fed up with his son s rejection and forced a hug, Jonah froze and said he did not understand why his father kept refusing to allow him his basic request. What is alarming is how Jonah threatens to tell the school counselor that his parents touch him when he does not want them to. As a result of the reader knowing the truth about the touching and how the school will interpret the child s words, Martin and the reader are horrified at the implications the youth is making. This would lead both the reader and Martin to question just how normal the child is in fact. It might also lead one to wonder whether another adult has molested Jonah because ten year olds are usually not aware of such issues. However, there is a lot of evidence that shows climate change is a real problem. A study by The State of Climate Global Analysis for June 2012 shows that there is evidence for climate change. The temperature of the land and water is above average, and the number of temperature abnormalities continues to rise. Sunga (2014) writes, that CNN reported July 2012 was estimated to have been the hottest month for the continental United States since record keeping began in 1895. (p. 4) A report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warned that eleven of the last twelve years (from 1995 2006) were among the twelve warmest years for surface temperature since 1895. These theories helped predict that black holes actually occupy the universe vastly (Wiki authors). Because black holes are virtually invisible to the human eye, since not even light can escape their clutches, it is hard to understand something that can t be seen or even assume it exists. Though the concept of black holes can be traced back to 1795, to Pierre Simon Laplace, who originally proposed the idea. It was Karl Schwarzchild to be the first to start proving black holes exist from the research of Einstein and others (Freudenrich). This was just the start of black holes becoming a major focus of astronomers and astrophysicists globally. The common misconception of black holes is that they are a hole in space, but the fact is, they are a dense orb of matter that continuously grows and consumes. Popular believe is that a black hole is a gateway through time and space but that is not the case. All someone would find at the center of a black hole would be a dense orb a matter called the singularity, or core (Freudenrich). Black holes do in a way distort time and space because of their immense mass yet one would die and be burnt to a crisp before even coming close to reaching the highly dense core. These two dynasties came just after the Han, which is another very successful Dynasty, but somehow these two seem to top it. The Silk Road was a transcontinental trade network connecting Chinato the Empires living in the Western part of Asia, Africa, and Europe. Narcissistic Personality Disorder Paper Narcissism Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. (Mayo Clinic, 2014) Like other personality disorders, narcissists have traits that cause them to feel and behave in socially distressing ways, limiting their ability to function in important areas of life, such as school, work, and relationships. What may not be apparent to the outside eye is that there is a very fragile and friable self esteem that is very thin skinned. Those with this disorder think very highly of themselves and have a hard time seeing anyone else s views, because they believe their way is the best way. They have self centered fantasies that are high and wide of actual reality. Receiving criticism for them, even in the slightest, can be so detrimental. You may never see the extreme sensitivity to the criticism because it is often kept so quiet and hidden from others. It can sometimes be difficult to distinguish a true narcissistic person apart from a person who is highly confident. • 40. Advantages Of The French Presidential System France 1.After reading about Britain s parliamentary system, as well having a familiarity with the United States presidential system, the French semi presidential system is more effective than the United State s system, and I would prefer this system. The semi presidential system is a bit more complicated than every other system I have learned about. The French system uses a mixture of the premier as well as the president. Under the president is the cabinet and ministries. The president serves as a guide for the nations versus a supreme leader (Roskin 87 8). I would prefer this system to the United States system. This is because of the advantages of the semi presidential system. Some of the advantages include the fact that the president and the parliament do not serve the same amount of time on their terms. If there are people serving on each side who are not serving to the best of their ability, they can be taken out of power. It would not be at the same time, which is an advantage because the ideas of the new person serving could work with the ideas of the person serving along with them. This way, a whole fresh set of new ideas does not come in at one time. The president currently can serve two consecutive five year terms, while the prime minister has no outlined term limits. For the prime minister to stay in power they must maintain the support of the National Assembly. (Roskin 80 82). There are new ideas flowing in either every five years or every ten. This is just one advantage to this system. Another advantage to the semi presidential system is the multitude of ideas that are able to come through. There are so many people who are able to contribute to the semi presidential system, that every voter s idea should be represented. On the other hand, a disadvantage to the semi presidential system is the fact that there are multiple representatives. The multitude of representatives can have too many ideas, and it can be hard to get things accomplished when all of their ideas are pinned against each other. Overall, I would prefer this method of governance because despite the multitude of ideas, more is able to get accomplished. 2.The French have a large bureaucracy, which runs welfare programs, supervises ...
