COBIT 2019 is an update to COBIT 5 that provides enhancements to principles, components, and publications to better align with changes in technology and business needs. Key changes include expanding principles from 5 to 9, updating the goal cascade, introducing 11 design factors to consider, and publishing new guides for designing and implementing governance solutions. COBIT 2019 also introduces a performance model and retains a process reference model to help organizations assess capabilities and maturity.
