influences the time of burning. A candle burns by melting the waxnear the wick. This
liquid wax is then drawn up the wick by capillary action. The heat of the flame then
vaporises the wax. Previous results showed that wider candles burnt slower than
thinner candles.
Aim: The aim of this experiment was to find out whether the thickness of a candle
has an effect on the time taken for it to burn down.

are going to describe the process of envisioning and designing a film by studying a
clip from the film The Bounty Hunter . This movie is directed by Andy Tennant and
the movie clip that I am going to analyze is the Golf Course Chase scene.
The key to analyzing this scene is describing the setting, lighting, costuming, makeup,
and hairstyles. The director is responsible for the film overall. He is to interpret a the
script and making it into a film ( Wavelength Media, 2012). He guides actors through
each scene and provide creative direction. He also works with the art director, Jane

Genocide is defined as the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political,
or cultural group. The Darfur Genocide refers to the current mass slaughter and rape

Not only are these atrocities happening, but the Darfurians are being force from their
land and into refugee camps, mainly in the country Chad, but also other countries like

Monty Python, a British acting group from the 70 s, influenced comedy by
incorporating new experiments with form and content. They were broadcasted by
BBC from 1969 1974. Their show flying circus pushed the limits of what was
acceptable. It was a sketch show that had a hint of consciousness that stretched the
style of what was being broadcasted during this time period. They came into the
business with new style and characteristics with a vision to pursue and they would
not let the mainstream comedian ruin their plan to stand out and receive success.
The Python s troupe was looking to try something new and unnatural. Monty Python

I chose to start my first song, Like a Dog Chasing Cars by Hans Zimmer from the
very beginning and at 1:50:53 in the movie/ where he says hang him from the
bridge . I feel like this scene had an astonishing amount of tension and suspense.
Rob Roy was fighting for his life and as can be seen in the movie was willing to do
anything to get away. In the song I chose it starts out soft but has a crescendo as the
musiccontinues. I thought this fit with the scene very well, because at first when
Rob Roy jumps off the bridge it is more surprising than suspenseful, but then as the
scene continues it becomes more stressful. In Like a Dog Chasing Cars there is an
overall minor tone to the whole piece. Throughout the whole piece there is both a
crescendo and accelerando which makes a building feeling. The building feeling is
finally almost released when I end the piece and the soldiers walk away from Rob
Roy. There is a recurring melody and steady background beat also helps pace the
piece. The background for the most part is also very staccato while the
overlapping pitches are legato. Also, near where I m ending it there is a new sense
of hopefulness, because the pitch of the notes is raised a little bit. Also, I think there
might be a keychain to add to this new light tone. The hope connects to the movie,

My Experience With Pancreatitis
Today was my first day at metro hospital. I had an interesting situation with a
patient. The patient was admitted with a hemorrhagic pseudo cyst and a history of

found splenic hematoma. They did a CT scan and found a large gastric mass, with

meet the patient to find that he was grumpy. I noticed while talking to him that he
just wanted to leave the hospital. I even found out that he has been a chronic smoker

were up x3 because of fall precaution. She was comfortable most of the time but I
taught her but the risk for pressure sores. She understood the need turn frequently to
prevent pressure sores. Later I looked in her labs and found that her hemoglobin at
7.1. She was a candidate for blood transfusion. The nurse was teaching me how blood
transfusions are done. Before they give her blood, they have to get her last vital
signs. We were consistently checking her vitals as we were giving her a blood
transfusion. After giving her blood, we had to monitor her and her vital signs for any
transfusion reaction. The symptoms of transfusion reaction is shortness of breath
and depressed vital signs. Later we found that her oxygen level was at a 93 percent.
