Christopher Columbus Essays
Crafting an essay on the subject of Christopher Columbus is a challenging task that demands a
nuanced understanding of historical events, cultural perspectives, and the ability to critically
analyze primary and secondary sources. To begin with, delving into Columbus's voyages requires
meticulous research to comprehend the complexities surrounding his expeditions, the impact on
indigenous populations, and the broader historical context.
Moreover, one must navigate through conflicting viewpoints on Columbus's legacy, with debates
ranging from celebrating his role as an explorer to scrutinizing the darker aspects of colonization
and its consequences. Analyzing various perspectives necessitates a careful examination of
historical records, academic articles, and contemporary opinions, demanding both time and
intellectual effort.
Crafting a cohesive and insightful essay on Christopher Columbus also involves addressing the
ethical considerations associated with the exploration and its aftermath. It requires the ability to
present a balanced view, acknowledging different opinions while providing a well-supported
argument.
In addition to content challenges, the essay must adhere to proper academic structure, ensuring a
clear introduction, a well-organized body, and a concise conclusion. Proper citation and
referencing are crucial, adding another layer of complexity to the writing process.
Ultimately, tackling a Christopher Columbus essay requires more than just writing skills; it
demands a dedication to thorough research, critical thinking, and an understanding of the
multifaceted historical narrative. Aspiring to create a comprehensive and thought-provoking

The Key Notion Of Food Insecurity
When tackling the subject of food insecurity, uncertainty is the key notion. Many of
us live our lives fleeing from the term; however, some Americans know this
awareness as their existence. Food insecurity simply means the lack of the ability to
provide food and sustain a healthy lifestyle. The USDA explains, It is a household
level economic and social condition of limited or uncertain access to adequate food;
adequate food being the key word. The USDA further goes on to categorize it into
two sub categories; low and very low food security. Low food security is explained as
reduced quality, variety of diet; little or no indication of reduced food intake. Very
low food security is multiple indications of disrupted eating patterns... Show more

The Disappeared By Charles Baxter
Violence and crime have a large influence on the short story, The Disappeared by
Charles Baxter. Throughout the story Anders, the protagonist, is often affected by the
crime in Detroit. He is unaware to how dangerous the city is because of his short
time spent he has spent in the United States. The Disappeared does well in reflecting
what Detroitwas like in 1990, specifically in terms of violence and crime. The short
storyis shaped by how Anders and the other characters are affected by the violence
and crime in the city. Acts of crime and violence were common in Detroit when The
Disappeared takes place. The city of Detroit was in distress in 1990 and the years
leading up to 1990. Members of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development found, 75 percent of the population in Detroit lived in tracts with
povertyrates of 20 percent or higher in 1990 (Neal and Bunce 129). (p129). With
poverty comes crime. Crime is committed by those living below the poverty line as
Raymond J. Michalowsk discusses, Approximately 40% of all those imprisoned in
the United States were either unemployed or employed only part time when
arrested, and nearly two thirds had incomes below poverty level (qtd. in
Michalowsk 16 17). Crime and violence was present in Detroit and it is represented
well in the story. In Baxter s short story there are many instances where crime clearly
influences The Disappeared . The first notion of crime in The Disappeared lies within

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Electronic Medical
Records
Electronic medical record (EMR) can be defined as an electronic record of health
related information on an individual that can be created, gathered, managed, and
consulted by authorized clinicians and staff within one health care organization.
There are two advantages and two issues of EMR in Malaysian Government
Hospital that I will discuss in this paper. The using of EMR in Malaysian
Government Hospital was enabling quick access to patient records for more
coordinated and efficient care. The medical record officer can access the patient
information within a short time, and it more save time if compared with searching
the file record of staff at the shelf. Enabling quick access also referred to the benefit
of EMR system that sharing a database system, whereas the medical record officer or
doctor can use the system... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The characteristics of electronic record that easy to modified and changed might
cast doubt on the court this is because if some data has been changed even for
correction there are no trace that showing the error was corrected, it different with
a paper records, a simple line crossing out the incorrect information will notify the
reader that a change has been made. Moreover, usually using EMR especially for
conversion process, the original documents are scanned into a system and then
will shred or destroyed, these process might give a problem because some paper
documentation is illegible, but once the originals are destroyed there is no way to
recover the data. So, to overcome this issue, medical record officer must not too
hasty in the destruction of the original documents, they also should not destroy
specific stored information that it is required to preserve. Not only that, they also
should always keep the original document as a backup, and use EMR only for a
quick access purpose rather that concern it as a system that can save a

Separation of a Carboxylic Acid, a Phenol, and a Neutral...
Objective: The objective of this experiment is to use acid base extraction techniques
to separate a mixture of organic compounds based on acidity and/or basicity. After the
three compounds are separated we will recover them into their salt forms and then
purify them by recrystallization and identify them by their melting points.
Procedure:
Extraction of Carboxylic Acid
A pre weighed (0.315g) mixture of Carboxylic acid, a phenol, and neutral substance
was placed into a reaction tube (tube 1). tert Butyl methyl ether (2ml) was added to
the tube and the solid mixture was dissolved. Next, 1 ml of saturated NaHCO3
solution was added to the tube and the contents were mixed separating the contents
into three layers. Once this was completed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Next, add concentrated HCl drop wise until the litmus paper indicates that it is
acidic. During this procedure, I added to much HCl because many CO2 gas bubbles
evolved. This error in the experiment will cause the recovery % to be lower.
Recovery of Phenol by Acidification
To tube 3 a piece of litmus paper was placed into the tube. Then as is tube 2
concentrated HCl was added drop wise until the litmus paper indicated that it is
acidic. No CO2 gas will evolve.
Purification of neutral substance
Tube 4 now should only have crude solid in the tube and it is then weighed. The tube
is placed into a 50в„ѓ water bath and then approximately 0.5 1 ml of methanol is
added, as well as H2O until the solution gets cloudy, once the solution is dissolved it
is cooled to room temperature and then iced. The crystals are then collected using a
Hirsh funnel. Next a small amount (~ 0.1g) of the crystals are placed into a melting
point tube and placed into the melting point machine to record the unknown neutral
substances melting point.
Purification of Carboxylic Acid and Phenol
To tube 2 and tube 3 a boiling chip is added. The two tubes are boiled to remove any
residual ether. Next, the tubes are cooled to room temperature and placed into an ice
bath to allow for crystallization. The solution is then removed from the solid in each
tube and discarded. To tube 2 and 3 ~0.5 ml of H2O is added for recrystallization, the

How To Improve Fico Score
I went to CreditKarma.com and viewed my FICO scores. Transunion score was
497, Equifax score was 502, and no score was reported by Experian. The FICO scores
were not as high as I had hoped. A few years ago I had a thin file showing for my
credit scores. Now that I have established credit line, it is within the very poor
range of the FICO Score ratings. Due to collection files for various services such as
mobile phone accounts and hospital visits my scores have lowered due to bad credit
choices. My student loan has raised my ratings somewhat due to the fact that I have
made payments towards lowering the financial debtof the student loan.
Three ways I can help improve my FICO score is to check my credit periodically,
set up payment reminders for payments, and reduce the amount of debt I owe.
According to many credit bureaus and experts, checking your credit periodically is
always the right approach to turning your credit around. By checking your scores
you can determine if there are any errors on your reports and take the right course of
action to dispute those errors. You may... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One way to improve your score is to set up payment reminders. Pay your bills on
time whether or not you feel you have a grace period, because delinquent payments
no matter how late has huge negative impact have on scores. Missed payments
need to be made current and remain current, paying off a collection does not
remove it from your report since they remain on said report for seven years, and if
you have trouble managing your money to make ends meet seek help from a credit
professional, and contact your creditors to make arrangements. These steps won t
miraculously rebuild your credit score but will increase it in good standing over a
period of time. Amounts you owe go hand and hand with payment history so let s

High Blood Pressure Is The Resistance Of Blood Vessels
Blood pressure is the force exerted by the blood against the walls of blood vessels,
and the magnitude of this force depends on the cardiac output and the resistance of
the blood vessels. When the systolic blood pressure (SBP) which is the pressure as
the heart pumps blood around the body is 140 mm Hg or more, or a diastolic blood
pressure (DBP) which is the pressure as the heart relaxes and refills with blood, is 90
mm Hg or more, and the individual is taking antihypertensive medication, it is called
Hypertension(Madhur, 2014). High blood pressure is a major risk factor for various
other illnesses and even death due to several cardiac and vascular diseases. It is
assessed that about 54% of strokes, 47% of heart attacks, 75% of hypertensive
disease, 25% of other heart disease, 13.5% of all mortality, and 6% of morbidity are
linked to Hypertension (Khraim Pike, 2014). Hypertension affects about 70 million
adults in the United States. Only about half (52%) of people with hypertension have
their blood pressure under control. Nearly 1 in 3 American adults have
prehypertension which means that blood pressure numbers are greater than usual, but
not in the high blood pressure range. Hypertension costs the country about $46
billion annually. This comprises the cost of health care services, drugs to treat
hypertension, and days of absence from work (CDC, 2015).
Pathophysiology of the disease
The pathogenesis of essential hypertension involves various elements and is extremely

Films of different genres use different techniques to improve a film s quality. In the
same way the film A midnight in Paris uses similar techniques to provide a overall
view on Gil s character. Despite some scenes being similar in editing and mise en

Gil is criticized by others and no one believes in him and in another scene Gill is still

The Greatest Emotion- Somewhere I Have Never... E.E

The Greatest Emotion In the poem somewhere i have never... , author E. E.

his inexperience with loveand almost expresses a wonder to this new experience

In line eight, the author describes the way Spring opens... her first rose (7 8) as
mysterious. However, the way the rose opens is not the only thing the author is
describing as mysterious; he is also describing the passion he feels about his lover as
something mysterious, something he does not understand. Also, the author describes
the power of [her] fragility as what possesses true control. However, when one thinks
of something that is fragile, one does not picture it as having power, yet this is where
the complexity of the true emotion comes in. The sentiment of love is one of the
most powerful thing known to mankind; it has the power to lead men to war, yet
the slightest crack can cause it to shatter in an instant. Love is the single most
powerful emotion that man can feel and the author s word choice not only
exemplifies it s complexity, but also emphasizes in sensitivity. Love is one of nature
s hardest emotions to comprehend. And at the same time, it is the most powerful and
most sensitive one. By personifying it s complexity and complete control over man,
the author expresses his inexperience with this emotion. By expressing nature s
control over flowers, he reveals the true mystery of love, while expressing his
inexperience with this passion. By using the images of nature he painted in the reader
s mind as symbols, he personifies this emotion, and exemplifies the true
The Extreme Dystopia In Pan s Labyrinth And The Hunger
Games
The extreme dystopias found within the movie Pan s Labyrinth directed by
Guillermo del Toro and the novel The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins
suggest that in light of a dystopia, a glimpse of a utopia can always be found
beneath the ruble. The similar ideas between Pan s Labyrinth and The Hunger
Games such as: the role of choices, defiance, and fear; all serves as a template for
what a utopian future could resemble. A common theme found within both works
of literature is the role of choices. In Pan s Labyrinth, the main character, Ofelia
makes the sacrificial choice to deny Pan s wish of handing over her baby brother in
order to become Princess Moana and obtain a life of happiness. Ofelia traded the
possibility of her own utopiafor a miserable dystopian life, all to save her innocent
baby brother. Similarly, in The Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen says I volunteer...I
volunteer as tribute (Collins 22) at the annual reaping in order to save her sister
from being forced to participate in the Hunger Games. Although the life Katniss is
forced to leave behind was a dystopia, she chooses to go into an arena where she will
fight for her life, an obvious extreme dystopia. The dystopias presented in Spain
after the Spanish Civil War and in Panem, both lack freedom of choice. This
similarity identifies freedom of choice as a necessary characteristic in any utopia. By
Ofelia making the choice to sacrifice her happiness to save her brother, she reaches
her ultimate utopia
Gender And Sexuality As A Category For Historical Analysis
For years, many scholars have provided many discussions over the topic of gender
and sexuality. However, one needs to ask themselves: Are these two topics, gender
and sexuality, useful as a category for historical analysis? The articles written by
both Joan W. Scott and Afsaneh Najmabadi, answer such a question. By critically
examining and assessing their two article, can the usefulness of gender and sexuality
as a category for historical analysis be proven.
In Gender: A Useful Category of Historical Analysis, Joan W. Scott provides many
angles to explore the relevancy of gender. The first thing that needs to be examined is
her argument. The main argument that Joan W. Scott is trying to make is how
beneficial to history using gender as a category for analysis would turn out.
Another factor that needs to be made in assessing her article is how she presents
her argument and findings. Scott formats her article with a beginning, middle, and
end. She begins by defining gender, and how that term has been used in general.
She goes on to describe some of the theories that have analyzed gender. The next
part that she explains is how, of late, politics has been coincided with the analysis of
gender. Finally, she ends her paper by providing her bottom line opinion about the
analysis and approach of gender.
Now with the structure of her paper in mind, the next important assessment is in the
sources she uses. The sources that Joan Scott utilizes in her argument are mostly
Theoretical Essay On Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence is unfortunately a huge social issue that occurs all over the world.
Domestic Violence is a type of exploitation that occurs in a household. This
exploitation may include some sort of physical, emotion, or mental abuse. We
typically tend to believe that domestic violence transpires in an intimate relationship
between a man and a woman. Although this logic may appear more often, we must
understand the general idea behind what domestic violence truly means.
Perpetuators of domestic violence are defined to be the more dominate individual
taking advantage of the victim. Once the perpetuator is able to gain control over the
victim, it is extremely hard to get out of. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a child, I was beat many times due to what I always believed to be misbehavior.
Although there have been times where my beatings would be due to my
disobedience, it was more than just that. It was primarily due to aggression that my
father carried home from a stressful day. When I was younger, my sisters and I
understood that once my dad arrived home from work, that we should be extremely
cautious of everything we do. For instance, talking and playing too loud was
frowned upon. His methods of violence included beatings with shoes, coat hanger,
belts, and sometimes just anything he can grab his hands on. Looking back and
understanding why my dad did what he did was due to stress. He was put under a
lot of pressure trying to sustain and support family by making ends meat. He is
self employed as a taxi driver, so there are days where he may make money, and
other times where he may not. It s almost as a gamble, due to no consistent income.
Unfortunately he wasn t aware on how to properly deal with his aggression. His
aggression had lead me to hate as well as be scared of him. My healing process
began as I grew older to defend myself. As I physically grew, I began to fight and
yell back which caught him off guard. By repeating this action, the violence
eventually stopped. He begun to realize his mistake and took initiative to apologize.
This particular experience is what lead my interest to research more about the
Inheritance Of Traits Of Fruit Flies
Inheritance of Traits in Fruit Flies
Genetics shows us that we inherit traits in many different ways. A perfect example
to show us the different ways we inherit traits is fruit flies. Fruit flies are
commonly used by scientists to conduct genetic experiments due to their reaction
to the experiment being very quick. Scientists mainly look at how the flies inherit
basic traits such as brown body color, or red eyes(basic trait flies are known as wild
type flies) from their parents, but sometimes they can come across some abnormal
traits. Some of these abnormal traits include having a yellow body color or having
curly shaped wings and have made scientists wonder how the flies have inherited
these specific traits. So how do the flies inherit ... Show more content on

from the F1 generation. Those numbers give us a ratio of 1:1:1:1 of 1 wild male to

This next table follows a similar skeleton as the one before. The table gives us an
outcome for when we cross the two parents with each other, and then gives us
another outcome by crossing another male and female from the F1 generation(the
first offspring) which creates the F2 generation. So if we look at the numbers for
the F1 generation, we can get about a 2:2 ratio of 2 wild males to 2 wild females.
Then, if we look at the F2 generation we get around a 1:1:2 ratio of 1 wild male to 1

generation, none of the offspring turned out to be female yellow.

it is no doubt that the importance of listening skills is undeniable in foreign

listening skills has been considered as frequently used skills during classroom and in

Essay Unanswered Questions about Welfare Reform
Unanswered Questions about Welfare Reform
Welfare is a means of financial assistant for poverty stricken individuals. Year after
year presidents have attempted to reconstruct the welfare system so it does not act
as a backbone for those who do not want to work, and year after year success
seemed out of reach. That is, until President Bill Clinton thought he had the answer.
He signed the new welfare reform act in August of 1996, vowing to end welfare as
we know it. Terminating a 62 year old federal entitlement, President Clinton put a
limit on how long one can receive federal welfare assistance (Casse 36). Yet, this so

beginnings. So the declining caseloads that President Clinton spoke of so highly
of are not impressive and whatever they mean, they don t tell us much, if anything,
about the impact of the 1996 reform (Heim 1147). The second problem that drowns
out the welfare reformers chorus is the fact that the government does not know
what happens to people after their assistance is cut off. Some people get penalized
if they can t find a job, and their benefits get cut back because they are not working
or enrolled in the work program that the state offers. This sometimes hurts people
when they are expecting X amount of money to feed their family for the month and
receive significantly less than what they normally would. It s very hard to make your
food stamps last for the whole month or until you find a job, enroll into school, or
some kind of training program. For example, the government uses a line item veto,
which eliminates any method for tracking people after they
Clean Coal Technology
HOW CLEAN COAL TECHNOLOGIES CAN REDUCE AIR POLLUTION FROM
COAL
Coal is the most hazardous of all fossil fuels. When coal is burned, it produces
emissions that contribute to global warming, create acid rain and pollute water. Clean
coal technology is a collection of technologies that was developed to reduce the
environmental impact of coal energy generation. When coal is used as a fuel material
or source, the gaseous emissions generated by the thermal decomposition of the coal
include nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide ,carbon dioxide, mercury and other chemical
byproducts that vary depending on the properties of coal being used. These emissions
have been established to have a negative impact on the environment and human
health, contributing
Sit-Down Strikes Of The United Auto Workers (Uaw)
By the end of 1936 and the beginning of 1937, the United Auto Workers (UAW)
union structured a strike held at General Motors, known as the Fisher Body Plant
No. 2 in Flint, Michigan. They called the strike, a sit down strike that was
organized to demand improvements to working conditions and job security to all
employees. The strike was one of the largest during this era. The local police tried
to withhold food from going into the plant that was ordered by supporters; which
caused the strike to become violent. This left the Michigan s governor, Frank
Murphy no choice but to step in and decide to call in the National Guard to control
the situation, however, the troops was ordered be onsite and not go inside the plant.
Murphy made this decision
Analysis Of Ebenezer Scrooge In The Story Of A
Christmas...
This is how Ebenezer Scrooge changed throughout the story of a Christmas Carol.
The christmas carol was written by Charles Dickens in December of 1843. Mr.
Scrooge starts off in the play as an angry, unkind, and ungrateful person. As the
story goes on he starts to become more understanding, he was sorry for his actions,
and he was regretting things from his past. Finally in the end of the he apologized to
everyone that he hurt and affected, he started to give money to charities and people
in need, and he also went to visit his family and loved ones.
Ebenezer Scrooge starts of in the story being a angry, unkind, and ungrateful man.
Scrooge never donated any money to the poor or to any charities. For example one
day near the christmas holiday some people came to his place of work asking if he
would donate some money to the less fortunate, he refused to help out by donating
and told them to leave. Mr. Scrooge underpaid his worker Mr. Bob Cratchit, it shows
in the story that Bob was not getting paid enough for the amount of hours he
worked for Mr. Scrooge, because he could barely afford to feed his family. Also
Ebenezer never went to visit his family. Mr. Scrooge s nephew had been asking his
uncle to come to supper with him and his family on christmas day for years and he
always said no and that he would not come.
The ghosts of christmas visited Scrooge at 12:00 on christmas eve night, throughout
all the ghosts he was visited by that night he started to become more
How To Write An Essay On Chopin s Eclectic Theatre
As one listens to the pleasing sound, they may notice the three part structure within
the movement with no variation between the beginning and end. Section A plays
from the beginning of the piece until 0:44, where Section B carries on until 1:10,
finishing with a identical Section
A. As the movement plays on, Chopin brings each section to its very own resting
point, in hopes to make it easier to the ear. Along with the musical fluidity, the resting
points add three distinctive sections, creating a musical sandwich within his color
performance. Traditionally, a
mazurka is a polish folk dance, however, Chopin contributes his own twist, making it
a pianistic art form that was both eloquent and divine. Through his musical structure,

Enjoying appetizers, participating in light conversation or simply watching the
sports game, each member relaxes as food is being prepared. As the solo pianist
brings the initial section to a resting point, Section B provides a chaotic, yet polite
and controlled tone. When the middle section hits, my family and I have officially sat
at the dining room table fully knowledgeable of the drama about to occur. The
different spikes of dynamics throughout
Chopin s piece, represent the small jabs of discriminating words being sent across the
table, whether between my mother and her sister or my grandparents. As the piano
goes on, so does the heat of drama at the table. Once all of the daggers have been
thrown, Chopin once again brings his piece to a beautiful resting point, that soon
brings the last part of the musical sandwich.
Mimicking the initial section, Section A depicts each of the family members, one by
one, leaving the table to soon return to their original comfort zone, presumably on the
couch. Finishing with innocent conversation, since we are now not trapped at the
table, or dessert, the tone simmers bringing the audience to a soothing rhythm. As the
song and final section come to one last
Racial Discrimination During The 20th Century
Starting in 1501, white Portuguese men enslaved over five million Africans and
brought them back to Brazil to work on sugar plantations, creating a power dynamic
that has lasted for centuries. After nearly four hundred years of slavery, freed black
men and women were left with no education, place to live, or family, placing them at
an economic disadvantage from the beginning. In the late nineteenth and early
twentieth centuries, following emancipation, white men began to procreate with
indigenous and African women, creating a mixed or mulatto race, which led to the
false identification of Brazilas a country with a racial democracy. However, darker
skinned individuals still remained at the bottom of the racial hierarchy, facing
systems of social, economic, and educational discrimination. The racial inequalities,
products of historical legacy, have resulted in a society that has severe racial
stratifications and continues to subject Afro Brazilians to prejudice, poverty, and
police brutality. Although racial discrimination in contemporary Brazilian society is
pervasive, particularly noticeable in the lack of economic and social mobility,
discrimination is not a new phenomenon in Brazil, but rather the culmination of 500
years of historical inequities rooted in slavery, eugenics, immigration policy, the
process of miscegenation, and the myth of racial democracy . Brazil s racial history
has led to the formation of a society in which darker skinned individuals face
Cigarette Addiction Treatment
There is a lot of existing research on the topic of Cigarette addiction Treatment.
Many people have research and finding a method to quit cigarette as fast and

The first solution is Vaporizer. It is the e smoking. It s a device that let you smoke
by the water steam. It s contain a synthesis favor and a small amount of nicotine.
Vaping is like smoking but are free of dangerous chemical and only have small
amount of nicotine. Because of this, smoker will still feel pleasure from smoking,
just feeling less. But it would help them to quit real cigarette. The studies were based
on a survey of more than 1,500 smokers in December 2012, which was then
followed up on a year later. The first study, published in the journal Addiction, found
that 65% of those who were using an e cigarette on a daily basis went on to make an
attempt to give up smoking within the year, compared with 44% of smokers who

Our Social Lives Remo Analysis
When Did Lives on Social Media Become More Time Consuming than Our Social
Lives by Jessica Remo argues that what people post social media is not portraying
the truth to their daily lives. Social media allows the individual to post a picture,
video, status, and edit these to make it seem like their lives are better than others.
Social media allows the user to create their own TV channel and make their lives
seem better than they really are, (Remo). In addition to portraying a fake live,
these posts have negative impacts on the viewers. With 92 percent of those
between 18 and 29, and 73 percent of people in their 30 s and 40 s using social
media, this gives each individual the ability to control their image, and people s

She provides the example of Scott Schroeder, a chef, who had a hard time selling
one item on his menu, and after posting it to Instagram, customers come in for that
exact item because they saw it on a popular account. Remo irritates that social media
is destroying real connections between people and results in self esteem loss based
upon other people s posts.
With the information provided, along with the diction Jessica Remo uses, it clearly
demonstrates that she is opposed to social media, and believes that social media has
negatives effects on others and that people only post what they want others to see. It
is true, that many people become upset when viewing other profiles, for an example
seeing your friends at a party that you were not invited to. Her viewpoint is clearly
identifiable with the usage of her own real life examples involving her friend, her
mom s Facebook friend, and the chef in
Ipv6 Transition
Abstract
The rapid diffusion of the Internet and development of high speed broadband
networks have posed the problem of inadequate IPv4 address space on the Internet.
Moreover, this lack of address space has been made worse by the progress made
towards the ubiquitous network society, in which various types of information
equipment, mobile computers and electrical appliances communicate on the internet.
IPv6 was developed as a solution to this problem. In this paper I discussed various
features provided by IPv6 over IPv4 in terms of improved security, lower
administration cost, QoS options, mobility, auto configuration, and peer to peer
capability etc. The transition mechanisms in use today are discussed in details. I have
conducted a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is important to understand that no matter what technology dominate the market
today; tomorrow it will have to be upgraded to fulfil the demand. When IPv4 was
developed it was the latest protocol to meet the demand of the time. Since the time
has changes so has the demand, the need for change was inevitable. IPv6 introduced
the features like increased address space allocation, stateless address configuration
etc which have taken the limit of internet protocol to the edge. The reason behind
choosing the topic of the evolution of internet protocol is to gain detailed knowledge
on IP and its purpose and also discuss the issues related to the transition of IPv4 to
IPv6. Besides the need for the transition and the transition mechanisms will be
discussed.
3 Scope of the Research
To conduct the research I will survey on three leading ISPs from Bangladesh. It
would have been much more informative if an interview could have been carried out
in person. But since it couldn t be done I will prepare a questionnaire to conduct a
survey which will find out the current structure of the organisations and how the
transition can be done.

complexities on American foreign policies. Like the first readings that are analyzed

more understandable context. Aside from being informative and concise in its
historical approach, Hook and Spanier also critiques the several flaws and

The concept is also very evident from the choice of opening quote from Hook and
Spanier s book. This quote is specifically delivered by George W. Bushfor the
introduction of the National Security Strategy of the United States of America . In this
quote, he mentioned that We [the U.S] seek instead to create a balance of power
that favors human freedom... We will actively work to bring the hope of democracy,
development, free markets, and free trade to every corner of the world (2002). This
quote mirrors the concept of American Exceptionalism in a way that Bush recognizes
that the U.S. is a separate country that needs to salvage the remaining nations of the
world through foreign policies. In Hook and Spanier s words, [t]hese words capture
the global ambitions of an American president who, despite his optimistic tone, was
still recovering from the deadliest attacks ever on his country (2012, p.1). The authors
also discussed how the negative things that happened to the Bush administration
transpired into Obama s government. Among the earliest effects are the threats on the
classic American dream of unending prosperity and opportunity (Hook and Spanier,
p.1). On the other hand, the book also discussed how American foreign policies and
the overall American experienced are affected by the prevailing cultural attitudes and
beliefs. On the other hand, David Rothkopf book titled Running the world: The inside

Symbols In The Glass Castle
The Glass Castle is a memoir by Jeanette Walls in which she tells the story of her
childhood and the way she became who she is. Her path to her balanced present
was too difficult and full of hardships, yet she managed to become a successful and
prosperous person whose life experience gives her a push to make her life happy. It
stands to mention that the novel is full of symbols which contribute to reader s
understanding of Jeanette s character and represent her most important traits and
desires. Besides, all the symbols such as the fire, the Joshua tree, the geode and the
glass castle are recurring and contribute to understanding the struggle of Jeanette s
childhood, her ability to overcome it and build a successful life. Fire is an important

Despite the fact that she almost dies in a fire cooking hot dogs, she does not fear it
and even admires it instead. Jeanette likes to play with matches and candles, and in
the episode in the hotel bathroom, she flushes burning matches into the toilet. It
clearly shows how she tries to gain control over it as one can t live in fear of
something as basic as fire . Jeanette chooses to keep it under control thus trying to
control her own life. However, she understands that fire is stronger than she is as
she waits for something to go wrong: . . . what I did know was that I lived in a
world that at any moment could erupt into fire . As a matter of interest, Jeanette s
father becomes the cause of a fire, directly or implicitly, for instance, when burning
the Christmas tree down or when Jeanette uses his matches to start a fire in the shack
where she and Brian conduct an experiment with flammable materials or in the hotel
bathroom. One of the main reasons of Jeanette s unstable life is her

Chemical Treatment Of The Concentration Of
Contaminants...
1.4 Methodology
1.4.1 Process definition Advance Oxidation Process is a set of chemical treatment
where the organic waste and some inorganic waste are removed from industrial
wastewater, pharmaceutical wastewater by oxidation through reactions with hydroxyl
radicals (В·OH). In real world it is applicable for the removal or treatment of
wastewater. This reactive spices are strongest oxidants which can be used to virtually
oxidize any compound which is present in the water matrix and also can be applied
for water.
At diffusion controlled reaction speed, when (В·OH) is form it reacts unselectively
and the contaminants which are present in water will quickly and efficiently
fragmented and converted into small inorganic molecules. (В·OH) is formed with
the help of one or more primary oxidants i.e (Ozone, Hydrogen peroxide and
oxygen) or by other sources like Ultraviolet light and Catalyst Precise, pre
programmed dosages, sequences and combinations of these reagents are applied in
order to obtain a maximum OH yield. AOPs can reduce the concentration of
contaminants from several hundred ppm to less than 5 ppb and therefore
significantly bring COD and TOC down, which earned it the credit of water treatment
processes of the 21st century.
The Advance oxidation process is essentially and particularly used to treat and to
reduce biologically toxic or non degradable materials such as aromatics, pesticides,
petroleum constituents and volatile organic compounds which are
Hester Prynne Symbolism
In The Scarlet Letter, Nathaniel Hawthorne uses Hester Prynne to provide an
audience with ethical lessons. Caught for committing adultery, the protagonist of the
novel transforms her life through dealing with her punishment. Using symbolism and
evident themes, the author clarifies the meaning of his work, which is to teach a
moral lesson, making him a contemporary author.
In the beginning of The Scarlet Letter, Hester s society treats her like a convict for
committing adultery, as it is considered a sin. Due to this, people alienate Hester,
which significantly magnifies her shame and loneliness. By doing charitable works
around the community, Hester attempts to atone and repent for her sin of committing
adultery. However, the people who benefit the most from Hester s humanitarian
works respond with ungratefulness and bitterness. During this ordeal, Hester
progressively becomes wiser by interacting with other people. For example,
Hawthorne states, She shuddered to believe, yet ... Show more content on

The overall message that he is trying to convey, is that Hester Prynne challenges
social norms as she is punished for a sin and accepts it courageously. As stated in
the novel, On the breast of her gown, in fine red cloth, surrounded with an elaborate
embroidery and fantastic flourishes of gold thread, appeared the letter A, (37)
which shows that the scarlet letter she is forced to wear is a symbol of her wrong
doing. It also proves that Hester does not only accept her punishment, but is able to
transform it from an reminder of past mistakes, to a token of self growth and newly
acquired wisdom. This symbol strengthens Hathorne s meaning because it is the
object that is used numerous times to remind the audience of Hester s crime and
punishment, which is essential in analyzing the effect it has on the
Gender Stereotypes In Jamaica Kincaid s Girl
Blue Girls and Pink Boys Outside of one s reproductive organs, what makes a male,
male and a female such? The difference between the two genders many times reach
further than this distinction. Despite this, society has a myriad of generalizations and
stereotypes harmful to individuals that dictate how both males and females act and
feel. Genderstereotypes are harmful because they ascribe personality traits and
characteristics based on gender alone and work to limit the personal development of
that individual. The story The Man Who Was Almost A Man by Richard Wright, Girl
by Jamaica Kincaid and various other sources help further develop this point of view.
To better understand gender stereotypes, one must first understand how and why
they are formed. To begin, it is mentally more efficient to simply generalize groups
when juxtaposed with considering the behavior of individuals of a particular
group, It takes a lot less time too simply categorize a group as a whole. Msu also
states it satisfies the need to understand and predict the social world. You no longer
need to wonder what each individual is like (understand), or what he or she is likely
to do (predict). All of this is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To reiterate, stereotypes are an oversimplified view of a complex world. The
distinction of male and female goes beyond just reproductive organs. There is an
internal aspect that is not accounted for. Just because someone has a specific sex
organ does not necessarily mean they identify with the gender that organ is
associated with. Gender identity as opposed to gender being decided based on how
you were born has grown in popularity in recent years. While this has yet to rid the
world of gender stereotypes and the belief that males and females act a certain way, it
renders the idea more asinine than it already
Persuasive Essay On How To Make Makeup
With a million different shades, a bountiful of techniques, and the hidden
technicalities, makeup will always be a struggle. The face serves as a canvas, and
like all kinds of artwork, it has its own share of mistakes that you cannot help but
make. Makeup is not expected to be perfect on the first try, so it is okay. Below you
will read some of the most commonly made makeup mistakes and mishaps.
Before putting anything on your face, you have to make sure your face is as clean as
it can be. Even in this process people make a number of mistakes.
You may have all the products you need, moisturizer, cream, face masks, and so on,
but if you leave out the right way to cleaning your face then you might neglect the
use of these products in the first place.
Dr. Nicholas Perricone, MD, emphasizes that it is a common point of confusion. He
speaks on how it should be correctly done and what people are unconsciously doing
wrong.
Whether you are in your teens, 20s or have mature skin, the basics are the same: To
avoid irritation, stay away from scrubbing grains, abrasive pads/washcloths, alcohol
based toners and astringents. These can disturb the normal skin pH and produce
inflammation and dryness that will age and damage the skin.
It is also not a good thing to wash your face with hot water because the temperature
will cause your face to get rid of its needed natural oils that will keep the skin from
being parched. It is much better to go for either cold water or something lukewarm.
Emily Orofino also lists on PopSugar.com makeup mistakes that she has noticed over
time. The first to take attention to are the brushes you need for makeup in the first
place.
No matter what the situation, it is important to keep your makeup brushes clean.
When your makeup brushes are not cleaned regularly, you are at a risk of breaking
out or messing up your future looks. Everyone has to go through this, even
professionals.
Another one that is commonly observed is the foundation application process. Of
course, it is important to know what shade is the best for us. The problem lies on
where we test the shade.
Orofino sheds some light on a common mistake that is testing the shade on the back
of our hand. When testing the shade on the
Water Pollution In Water
The topic that was chosen was turbidity. Turbidity is the pollution in water. Turbidity
is commonly associated with cloudiness or haziness in water. The pollution that
studied was dirt and how it affected fish. It is important because it is killing our
wildlife. There needs to get teams of people each month going out and cleaning up
the water. If the dirt in the water affected the fishthen the experimental group would
die. During the time of researching this topic, it was discovered how different this
world has changed, the types of creatures have been affected by pollution.
Too much caffeine can affect sleep. Too much algae or sediment in lakes/ streams
can make them unlivable for aquatic life.Turbidity is caused by particles suspended
or dissolved in water that scatter light making the water appear cloudy or
murky.Turbidity is the cloudiness or haziness of a fluid caused by large numbers of
individual particles that are generally invisible to the naked eye, similar to smoke in
air.
In this project, dirt had been used to change the conditions of the environment and
see how these fish would react. During which there was an opposite tank with
normal water, a filter and 5 fish. The other tank had been used with a container, dirt,
and five fish as well.
During this projects it was tested to see how each fish would react to the water.
Most of the fish in the dirty water have died, all but 2. More of the fish died in this
tank then the normal water tank.

Reflection About Hunger
Hunger is a bit weird. You know what it is, you ve felt it before, you know what it
means. But why, why do we feel hungry? How come sometimes we can t seem to
eat enough no matter how much we eat? Why do we sometimes eat even if we re
full? So the question is what is hunger and how does our day to day lives affect it?
To start things off, the Merriam Webster definition of hunger is, A feeling of
discomfort or weakness caused by a lack of food, coupled with a desire to eat .
Physiologically speaking when we are hungry it is due to a hormone called Ghrelin
(there are more at play here but for the time being we re focusing on this hormone).
Ghrelin is a peptide hormone found in the GI tract, its function is to regulate appetite.
The body sense s the stomach is empty it produces ghrelin, when it senses it has had
its fill it stops secretion. When this happens it activates hypothalamic braincells and
GI tract acid secretion. In laymen terms, that sensation of hunger is felt when; your
brain senses you re low on energy, and the body prepares itself for food intake. The
next part of the equation we have to cover is Leptin. Leptin is your body s satiety
hormone, it is based in the hypothalamusand helps maintain energy homeostasis.
When the acidity reaches a peak level the lateral portion of the hypothalamus
produces leptin, which inhibits the release of Ghrelin. In simpler terminology, Leptin
is the opposite of Ghrelin, when your body senses it needs more energy it produces
The Love Of Love In Love And Marriage
At times, I might be perceived to be inconsiderate to you, but please understand that
I also will have my own uncertainties whereby I will question your actions. It will
have nothing to do with me not truly loving you because in the end you will always
be my girl.
No matter that we are far from each other. No matter if circumstances do keep us
apart. You and I share this awesome bond that is filled with only love. And until the
day that we can be in each other s arms, you will always live in my heart.
With love in your soul. Hope in your heart. Belief in yourself. A person will never
feel broken again.
Your breath taking smile even puts the brightness of the moon to shame. Your
beautiful fragrance even makes a red rose look less symbolic. ... Show more content

Who respected you? Who was Loyal to you? Who placed their Trust in you? Who
truly Loved you and who never Gave Up on you?
Always remember that in love and marriage, one should truly make their experience
with their partner unforgettable and everlasting with fond memories to last you a
lifetime. Don t inflict pain and misery thus continuously hurting them in such a
manner whereby you totally break them to an extent that they can t be that person
whom they once were as caring, affectionate and loving. Love doesn t make the
world go around, but instead it draws you into a pair of very caring and embracing
arms.
Take hold of my hand and whether life has happiness or sorrow to offer us,
together we will face them and accept our fate and destiny. Because with you
walking by my side, time and distance will also not matter, as long as it is you with
whom I want to take every leap of my life with forever.
The most amazing feeling is finding and being with that special person whom you
truly love and can t see yourself being without for the rest of your life.
Always love and cherish your partner so that they will give you no reason to become
sad, feel insecure and feel neglected whilst being a relationship with

The Townshend Act Dbq
Arrogance and greed often blind the human eye. In the case of Britain, it blinded the
king s eyes, causing chaos within the incipient American colonies and driving the
colonists into furor. Prior to that, the colonies had enjoyed a certain level of self
government ever since the Parliament passed the salutary neglect. However, the king
derailed the system of equality and made the American people pay most of Britain s
debt from the Seven Year War. Soon, the colonies revolted and the king took back his
excessive taxations such as the Stamp Act. Nonetheless, the king once again tested
the patience of his subjects and issued another act, the Townshend Act. This led to
outrage among the colonists. These events led to innocent deaths and the meeting...

Each side, one being the Loyalists and the other being the Patriots had irreconcilable
differences. After the Boston Massacre, surveillance and tightened security ensued.
To preserve the spirits of the colonist and regain hope, members of the Sons of
Liberty, including Samuel Adams himself, raided the ships attired as Mohawk
Indians, dumped a number of 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbour. Because the
king renege on asserting laws that bind the colonies in whatsoever, the colonies had a
legitimate reason to revolt against Britain. ( Declaratory Act Document 7) Britain has
not fulfilled their duty in providing the colonies with life, liberty, and property, and in
contrast the government was starting to conform into an absolute one. ( John Locke s

Tesco Reputation Management Case Study
1. 0Introduction
This writing looks at the definition of Reputation Management and Tesco Rebuilding
Reputation after overstating its profits, the different types and degrees of their
problems and the foundations for effective Reputation repairs. Repair methods and
the steps to repair process are also outlined. The author finally considers the results
which can result from reputation repair practices.
At the same time, there are some people who still believe in the maxim of Milton
Friedman (1970) that the only objective of a corporation is to increase profits and to
build wealth for investors, with reputation seen as something that is nice to suffer ,
merely an expendable cost.

al, 2006). Reputation is the collective representations shared in the minds of multiple
publics about an organization over time (Grunig and Hung, 2002; Yang and Grunig,
2005), and is developed
3.0Conceptualization
In this report the author have formulated a conceptualization as shown in figure 1 to
help the reader to understand the bridge of identifying the degrees of problems which
Tesco faces when dealing with their Reputation repairs, to achieving a desirable
outcome. The concept also illustrates the relationship
between each individual step and how they are all totally interconnected. To
accomplish a desired outcome Tesco must identify the types and degrees of
problems they are facing and build bases for effective reputation and brand repairs
including communication, change management, training, empowerment of staff and
a reward system. This will allow Tesco to decide on a formal repair handling
procedure by watching over the identified five steps as identified below.

Depression Of A Herbal Clinic
Depression in a Herbal Clinic Understanding depression is vital in modern and
stressful times. Depression is not an exclusive condition and affects people from
all walks of life. From the word Depression one can instantly visualise the burden
(WHO, 2012) of this endemic condition. Churchill affectionately called it his black
dog (WHO, 2012). Is it widely known that October 10 is World Mental Health Day?
(WHO, 2014) Given the prevalence, death toll and disease burden mental health is
of great significance in a modern herbal practice. By 2030, depression alone is
projected to be the single leading cause of overall disease burden in high income
countries (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2012). Aristotle pinpointed...

Many of us live our lives fleeing from the term; however, some Americans know this awareness as their existence. Food insecurity simply means the lack of the ability to provide food and sustain a healthy lifestyle. The USDA explains, It is a household level economic and social condition of limited or uncertain access to adequate food; adequate food being the key word. The USDA further goes on to categorize it into two sub categories; low and very low food security. Low food security is explained as reduced quality, variety of diet; little or no indication of reduced food intake. Very low food security is multiple indications of disrupted eating patterns... • 3. The Disappeared By Charles Baxter Violence and crime have a large influence on the short story, The Disappeared by Charles Baxter. Throughout the story Anders, the protagonist, is often affected by the crime in Detroit. He is unaware to how dangerous the city is because of his short time spent he has spent in the United States. The Disappeared does well in reflecting what Detroitwas like in 1990, specifically in terms of violence and crime. The short storyis shaped by how Anders and the other characters are affected by the violence and crime in the city. Acts of crime and violence were common in Detroit when The Disappeared takes place. The city of Detroit was in distress in 1990 and the years leading up to 1990. Members of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development found, 75 percent of the population in Detroit lived in tracts with povertyrates of 20 percent or higher in 1990 (Neal and Bunce 129). (p129). With poverty comes crime. Crime is committed by those living below the poverty line as Raymond J. Michalowsk discusses, Approximately 40% of all those imprisoned in the United States were either unemployed or employed only part time when arrested, and nearly two thirds had incomes below poverty level (qtd. in Michalowsk 16 17). Crime and violence was present in Detroit and it is represented well in the story. In Baxter s short story there are many instances where crime clearly influences The Disappeared . The first notion of crime in The Disappeared lies within the

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Electronic Medical Records Electronic medical record (EMR) can be defined as an electronic record of health related information on an individual that can be created, gathered, managed, and consulted by authorized clinicians and staff within one health care organization. There are two advantages and two issues of EMR in Malaysian Government Hospital that I will discuss in this paper. The using of EMR in Malaysian Government Hospital was enabling quick access to patient records for more coordinated and efficient care. The medical record officer can access the patient information within a short time, and it more save time if compared with searching the file record of staff at the shelf. Moreover, usually using EMR especially for conversion process, the original documents are scanned into a system and then will shred or destroyed, these process might give a problem because some paper documentation is illegible, but once the originals are destroyed there is no way to recover the data. So, to overcome this issue, medical record officer must not too hasty in the destruction of the original documents, they also should not destroy specific stored information that it is required to preserve. Not only that, they also should always keep the original document as a backup, and use EMR only for a quick access purpose rather that concern it as a system that can save a

After the three compounds are separated we will recover them into their salt forms and then purify them by recrystallization and identify them by their melting points. Procedure: Extraction of Carboxylic Acid A pre weighed (0.315g) mixture of Carboxylic acid, a phenol, and neutral substance was placed into a reaction tube (tube 1). tert Butyl methyl ether (2ml) was added to the tube and the solid mixture was dissolved. Purification of Carboxylic Acid and Phenol To tube 2 and tube 3 a boiling chip is added. The two tubes are boiled to remove any residual ether. Next, the tubes are cooled to room temperature and placed into an ice bath to allow for crystallization. The solution is then removed from the solid in each tube and discarded. High Blood Pressure Is The Resistance Of Blood Vessels Blood pressure is the force exerted by the blood against the walls of blood vessels, and the magnitude of this force depends on the cardiac output and the resistance of the blood vessels. When the systolic blood pressure (SBP) which is the pressure as the heart pumps blood around the body is 140 mm Hg or more, or a diastolic blood pressure (DBP) which is the pressure as the heart relaxes and refills with blood, is 90 mm Hg or more, and the individual is taking antihypertensive medication, it is called Hypertension(Madhur, 2014). High blood pressure is a major risk factor for various other illnesses and even death due to several cardiac and vascular diseases. It is assessed that about 54% of strokes, 47% of heart attacks, 75% of hypertensive disease, 25% of other heart disease, 13.5% of all mortality, and 6% of morbidity are linked to Hypertension (Khraim Pike, 2014). Nearly 1 in 3 American adults have prehypertension which means that blood pressure numbers are greater than usual, but not in the high blood pressure range. Also, the author describes the power of [her] fragility as what possesses true control. However, when one thinks of something that is fragile, one does not picture it as having power, yet this is where the complexity of the true emotion comes in. • 12. The Extreme Dystopia In Pan s Labyrinth And The Hunger Games The extreme dystopias found within the movie Pan s Labyrinth directed by Guillermo del Toro and the novel The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins suggest that in light of a dystopia, a glimpse of a utopia can always be found beneath the ruble. The similar ideas between Pan s Labyrinth and The Hunger Games such as: the role of choices, defiance, and fear; all serves as a template for what a utopian future could resemble. A common theme found within both works of literature is the role of choices. In Pan s Labyrinth, the main character, Ofelia makes the sacrificial choice to deny Pan s wish of handing over her baby brother in order to become Princess Moana and obtain a life of happiness. Ofelia traded the possibility of her own utopiafor a miserable dystopian life, all to save her innocent baby brother. Similarly, in The Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen says I volunteer...I volunteer as tribute (Collins 22) at the annual reaping in order to save her sister from being forced to participate in the Hunger Games. Although the life Katniss is forced to leave behind was a dystopia, she chooses to go into an arena where she will fight for her life, an obvious extreme dystopia. The dystopias presented in Spain after the Spanish Civil War and in Panem, both lack freedom of choice. This similarity identifies freedom of choice as a necessary characteristic in any utopia. By Ofelia making the choice to sacrifice her happiness to save her brother, she reaches her ultimate utopia

However, one needs to ask themselves: Are these two topics, gender and sexuality, useful as a category for historical analysis? The articles written by both Joan W. Scott and Afsaneh Najmabadi, answer such a question. By critically examining and assessing their two article, can the usefulness of gender and sexuality as a category for historical analysis be proven. In Gender: A Useful Category of Historical Analysis, Joan W. Scott provides many angles to explore the relevancy of gender. The first thing that needs to be examined is her argument. The main argument that Joan W. Scott is trying to make is how beneficial to history using gender as a category for analysis would turn out. Another factor that needs to be made in assessing her article is how she presents her argument and findings. Scott formats her article with a beginning, middle, and end. She begins by defining gender, and how that term has been used in general. She goes on to describe some of the theories that have analyzed gender. The next part that she explains is how, of late, politics has been coincided with the analysis of gender. Finally, she ends her paper by providing her bottom line opinion about the analysis and approach of gender. Now with the structure of her paper in mind, the next important assessment is in the sources she uses. The sources that Joan Scott utilizes in her argument are mostly

We typically tend to believe that domestic violence transpires in an intimate relationship between a man and a woman. Although this logic may appear more often, we must understand the general idea behind what domestic violence truly means. • 22. Essay Unanswered Questions about Welfare Reform Unanswered Questions about Welfare Reform Welfare is a means of financial assistant for poverty stricken individuals. Year after year presidents have attempted to reconstruct the welfare system so it does not act as a backbone for those who do not want to work, and year after year success seemed out of reach. That is, until President Bill Clinton thought he had the answer. He signed the new welfare reform act in August of 1996, vowing to end welfare as we know it. Terminating a 62 year old federal entitlement, President Clinton put a limit on how long one can receive federal welfare assistance (Casse 36). Yet, this so called reform is not that at all. The state that was furthest along in its welfare plan and which has received the most attention for cutting the welfare roles was Wisconsin, but this welfare form program just went into effect on September 1, 1997 (Telly 8). We ve just implanted a program and we don t have any results yet, Nan Brien of Wisconsin Council on Children and Families points out (8). Usually you can celebrate results, not beginnings. So the declining caseloads that President Clinton spoke of so highly of are not impressive and whatever they mean, they don t tell us much, if anything, about the impact of the 1996 reform (Heim 1147). The second problem that drowns out the welfare reformers chorus is the fact that the government does not know what happens to people after their assistance is cut off. Some people get penalized if they can t find a job, and their benefits get cut back because they are not working or enrolled in the work program that the state offers. This sometimes hurts people when they are expecting X amount of money to feed their family for the month and receive significantly less than what they normally would. It s very hard to make your food stamps last for the whole month or until you find a job, enroll into school, or some kind of training program. For example, the government uses a line item veto, which eliminates any method for tracking people after they

For example one day near the christmas holiday some people came to his place of work asking if he would donate some money to the less fortunate, he refused to help out by donating and told them to leave. Mr. Scrooge underpaid his worker Mr. Bob Cratchit, it shows in the story that Bob was not getting paid enough for the amount of hours he worked for Mr. Scrooge, because he could barely afford to feed his family. Also Ebenezer never went to visit his family. Mr. Scrooge s nephew had been asking his uncle to come to supper with him and his family on christmas day for years and he always said no and that he would not come. Section A plays from the beginning of the piece until 0:44, where Section B carries on until 1:10, finishing with a identical Section A. As the movement plays on, Chopin brings each section to its very own resting point, in hopes to make it easier to the ear. Along with the musical fluidity, the resting points add three distinctive sections, creating a musical sandwich within his color performance. The different spikes of dynamics throughout Chopin s piece, represent the small jabs of discriminating words being sent across the table, whether between my mother and her sister or my grandparents. As the piano goes on, so does the heat of drama at the table. Once all of the daggers have been thrown, Chopin once again brings his piece to a beautiful resting point, that soon brings the last part of the musical sandwich. Racial Discrimination During The 20th Century Starting in 1501, white Portuguese men enslaved over five million Africans and brought them back to Brazil to work on sugar plantations, creating a power dynamic that has lasted for centuries. After nearly four hundred years of slavery, freed black men and women were left with no education, place to live, or family, placing them at an economic disadvantage from the beginning. In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, following emancipation, white men began to procreate with indigenous and African women, creating a mixed or mulatto race, which led to the false identification of Brazilas a country with a racial democracy. However, darker skinned individuals still remained at the bottom of the racial hierarchy, facing systems of social, economic, and educational discrimination. The racial inequalities, products of historical legacy, have resulted in a society that has severe racial stratifications and continues to subject Afro Brazilians to prejudice, poverty, and police brutality. Although racial discrimination in contemporary Brazilian society is pervasive, particularly noticeable in the lack of economic and social mobility, discrimination is not a new phenomenon in Brazil, but rather the culmination of 500 years of historical inequities rooted in slavery, eugenics, immigration policy, the process of miscegenation, and the myth of racial democracy . The difference between the two genders many times reach further than this distinction. The face serves as a canvas, and like all kinds of artwork, it has its own share of mistakes that you cannot help but make. Makeup is not expected to be perfect on the first try, so it is okay. Below you will read some of the most commonly made makeup mistakes and mishaps. Before putting anything on your face, you have to make sure your face is as clean as it can be. Even in this process people make a number of mistakes. You may have all the products you need, moisturizer, cream, face masks, and so on, but if you leave out the right way to cleaning your face then you might neglect the use of these products in the first place. Dr. Nicholas Perricone, MD, emphasizes that it is a common point of confusion. He speaks on how it should be correctly done and what people are unconsciously doing wrong. Whether you are in your teens, 20s or have mature skin, the basics are the same: To avoid irritation, stay away from scrubbing grains, abrasive pads/washcloths, alcohol based toners and astringents. These can disturb the normal skin pH and produce inflammation and dryness that will age and damage the skin. It is also not a good thing to wash your face with hot water because the temperature will cause your face to get rid of its needed natural oils that will keep the skin from being parched. It is much better to go for either cold water or something lukewarm. Emily Orofino also lists on PopSugar.com makeup mistakes that she has noticed over time. The body sense s the stomach is empty it produces ghrelin, when it senses it has had its fill it stops secretion. When this happens it activates hypothalamic braincells and GI tract acid secretion.
