Chilli leaf curl disease, caused by the chilli leaf curl virus and transmitted by whiteflies, results in symptoms such as leaf curling, size reduction, and stunted plant growth. Preventive measures include sourcing disease-free seeds, growing border crops, and controlling vectors, while curative treatments involve the use of tobacco decoction, neem seed kernel extract, and imidacloprid. The virus affects both annual and perennial plants, with its prevalence first reported in India in 2006.
