2. Transgenders In America
Being a transgender person in today s society is one of the major issues facing
America today. Through education, people will hopefully develop a better
understanding of what it means to be a transgender, and realize that they deserve fair
and equal treatment in our society.
Transgenders are people that feel more comfortable identifying with, and acting as,
the gender opposite of their own. This includes behaving, dressing, and even thinking
like the opposite sex. Bruce/Kaitlyn Jenner is a well known example that has brought
the transgender issue to the country.
Another form of a transgender person is a transsexual. A transsexual is a transgender
who has taken medical steps such as hormone therapy, or even surgery, to change
their physical appearance. Men can take female hormones like estrogen to develop
female features such as breasts. Women can take male hormones like ... Show more

Intesexuals are people who have the traits of both sexes. Intersexuals do not have two
sets of genitals, but ambiguous genital structures not readily identifiable as male or
female. Intersexuals usually identify with a sex that they want to live there life as.
Recently North Carolina has passed a law that states that in government buildings,
transgenders must use the bathroom of their original sex. North Carolina has taken
the view that grown men should not be allowed into women s restrooms.
This, however, creates a difficult situation for the transgender. For example, a
male transgender dressed as a female, could possibly pass for a female and go
unnoticed as a male. However, when forced to use the male restroom, he is
immediately identified as a transgender. At best they would made fun of, and at
worst they could possibly be in a life threatening situation. The movie Boys Don t
Cry told the true story of a transgender female who was beaten to
3. Comfort Food Comfort By Cari Romm
When thinking of the term comfort food, I think of a food that invites a feeling of
satisfaction, contentment, and solace. It not only soothes the mind, body, and soul
but also nourishes it at the same time; sometimes possibly even jogging a memory
from times past. We eat these foods on many different occasions and also rely on
them during unfortunate circumstances. Whatever the case may be these foods
give us the feelings of warmth and coziness as well as a sense of security; like a
pacifier to a baby. It is true, everyone likes to be comforted as well eat food. Though,
sometimes I wonder, how the union of these two words, comfort and food took
place. Most definitions of this term I found to be very similar to my own. One states
food that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Atlantic, Why Comfort Foods Comfort, by Cari Romm, discussing the taste,

Post dating 1966, regarding obesity found in under the heading, Sad Child May
Overeat. Adults, when under severe emotional stress, turn to what could be called
comfort food, (NK). Yes, it is true that some of us tend to turn to food for comfort
during difficult times, looking for a sense of security or a pick me up. Surely not
with the intentions of packing on the pounds. Whether or not this leads to obesity,
I m not one to say, but apparently there has been great deal of speculation leading
to psychological research linking the two together. Eric Schlosser, a journalist
known for his research on the fast food industry discusses how damaging fast food
can be yet how we are drawn to it, mentioning, These comfort foods become a
source of pleasure and reassurance, (23). A lot of people do not think of the carbs or
saturated fats when turning to foods that please the taste buds. We all have our own
source of foods we turn to for comfort, not as much of the negative
4. Compare And Contrast Call Of The Wild And Woody
Woodrow (Woody) Wilson Rawl s family was dirt poor. Woody grew up on a small
farm in Scraper, Oklahoma on Cherokee reservation land given to his mother based
on her ancestry. There were no schools available, so his mother did her best to
home schooled him and his sisters. She made sure to read to her children regularly
from books purchased by his grandmother although Woody was not too interested
in many of the books. He thought most of them were too girly . However, he did
take to Jack London s Call of the Wild , a story about a man and a dog, which was
so inspiring, he changed his life. Like Woody, Billy Colman, one of the main
characters in his book Where the Red Fern Grows , grew up during the Great
Depression very poor in the Ozark mountains. Billy s ultimate dream was to own a
dog but just any dog. Billy s determination and courage to fight for his dream reflects
the same burning desire that Woody had in become a writer. Familyand God were
important parts of Billy and Woody s lives and what they turned to in time of need

5. The Major Development Of The Persian Empire
The Persian Empire originated as a result of the great king known as Cyrus who
united the Mediterranean and Asia Minor into one United Kingdom. Many of Cyrus
qualities as a leader led to the Persians unspoken success in expanding their
civilization into the largest and most powerful empire the world had ever seen. His
campaign inspired the Persians to develop their nation by making expeditions through
Media, Babylonia, Lydia, and Egypt. These four provinces had a major affect on
Cyrus vision of creating an unstoppable empire. Therefore this opened a lot of
possibilities for Cyrus and his army as they planned to conquer these regions of
Asia Minor. There were many reasons as to why Cyrus was so successful and the
main reason was his ability to be so humble and welcoming to his enemies.
Through his strength in military command, imperial administration, and respect
for his people he forged an Empire that became one of the strongest powers in Asia
Minor. Media was one of the four provinces that were crucial for the major
development of the Persian Empire. Cyrus believed that with the unification of the
four major provinces into a satrapy that he could create a strong standing
civilization. Cyrus was known for his behavior and ability to inspire and lead as a
strong military commander as described by Cook when he says, at the age of ten his
fearless behavior brought him to the notice of Astyages, who recognized him as his
own grandson (Cook, 25). This demonstrated that

Women make up half of this world s human population, and with consideration of
this fact, who is to say women are lesser of the two genders? Sexism and Women s
Rights are a global issue, that affects more than just woman themselves. Even in the
United States, commonly known as the Land of the Free , ironically is empowered
by the Statue of Liberty, which presents false ideas that women are well respected in
this country and provided with equal rights. Throughout history, women have
constantly been working hard to prove their strength and ability, it was not until the
twentieth century that women started to rise up in society and were slowly
beginning to be viewed as an equally capable being in the eyes of the United States.

Even though America has still not reached gender equality, I do agree with those
who claim that American women have substantially grown in society and
contradicted many stereotypes. In places like Afghanistan, women are not to go
anywhere without the approval of men. There are who try to escape their abusive
husbands are thrown in jail. Though a jail sentence may seem tragic, many feel
that if they were to ever be let out would be killed. In Armenia when women try to
inform authorities of the abuse they are experiencing at home, they are asked what
they did to deserve their beating, or are sent home because wife beating is a family
matter. (Source two) Home is supposed to be where one is most comfortable.
Home is supposed to be where one feels safe, it is not a place that anyone should

nature. Otto Frank is considered as a strong leader and role model in Anne s eyes.
He is very highly respected by Anne and many others. When hiding in the secret

Business continuity planning is the process of ensuring that your organization can
continue doing business even when its normal facilities or place of business is

to compete in today s market and apply to more than just natural disasters. Although
natural disasters should remain an integral part of any continuity plan and recovery
model, other man made disasters, such as computer viruses and physical security
should be considered. The modern military, especially the Air Force, relies heavily on
its troops assured access to the internet and other drives. For this very reason,

How is migration and the refugees affecting the UK?
Introduction
I am going to be writing about the positives and negatives of the immigration

Brexit is a good or bad thing. At the moment I think that immigration isn t as bad as
people believe it to be and should not be the reason to support Brexit as many people

it. This image is from .gov.uk
Difference between Migrants, refugees and asylum seekers
Firstly, these 3 are very different to each other. A migrant is simply a person who
moves form a place to live for over a mainly to find work. The Guardian claims that
The International Organisation of Migration estimates that 232 million people a
year become international migrants and another 740 million move within their
own countries. Work isn t the only reason that someone would move as they could
also seek a better lifestyle or education or even flee prosecution from their own
country. Those from outside the EU will need a visa to enter the UK and a reported
690,000 have arrived into the UK in the past 12 months according to The Guardian

TWO DIMENSIONAL ELECTROPHORESIS (IEF)
The different methods of separations of a mixture, to get one particular constitute of
the mixture are available now. The separation methods are based on the charge
present and on migration rate and on applied electric field are known as electro
kinetics methods. Many methods are available which are based on the electro kinetics
method. Methods like electrophoresis, isotachophoresis, isoelectric focusing and
related techniques are available for the separation the components from the mixture.
This separation of molecules depend upon the many parameters like temperature, pH,
ionic strength, viscosity, applied electric field, concentration of electrolyte, surface
charge, net charge of molecule etc. These parameters are very important for
separation.
Electrophoresis is the technique which monitors the charge of the molecule under the
electric field applied and separates the molecule by considering parameters like
electrophoretic mobility, charge, size of the molecule.
Isoelectric focusing requires constant electric charge with the different pH gradient
on the gel and due to this molecules get separated according to their isoelectric point.
Isotachophoresis uses different electric field with the combination of pH gradient for
the separation of the molecules or charged species.
п‚· Electrophoresis:
The basic principle of electrophoresis involves the separation and isolation of charged
molecules due to their differential migration in a buffer

the strict preserves of the cave, they could not discover more about the meanings and
what could took place first. To illustrate, in the chambers of lions the scientists found
a whole painting of a bison woman lower body on a stone pendant. Moreover, they
found an amount of stones that didn t fall from the ceiling, but it was a prehistoric
man who moved the stones. Nevertheless, they don t know why the man moved it. In
addition, the paintings looked so fresh that there was an initial doubts about their
intercity of which drawn first. Furthermore, the scientists found a bison that had eight
legs on the wall ,so they assumed it was moving almost like a form of proto cinema.

THE NETHODS BASED ON BACKGROUND MODELING
Introduction
Background modeling method is a method that we can use it to extract the objects in
the foreground and the target area for the aim of feature extraction. After that we can
use the classifier to classify and then we can judge whether this image include the
pedestrian.
Though there are many advantages about background modeling, there still exists
many disadvantages in background modeling method. At first, it must suit the change
of environment. Many factors can result in the change of environment, such that
illumination. If the illumination changes, the color of the images will change. For
example, in the condition of sufficient light, the color of the grass will change from
dark green to light green. This change will make the background modeling fails.
The second disadvantage of background modeling is that if the camera shakes, this
will make the image shake. For example, if you hold your camera and take a
picture, it is easy to get a blurred image, which is difficult to extract the features.
Based on this reason, it is a kind of disadvantage of background

Lincoln Electric Company Case Study Analysis In this Case Study Analysis, I will
identify examples of the types of organizational culture (innovative and stable) that
the Lincoln Electric Company has, as well as the benefits and problems the company
could experience as a result of these. The idea that stuck out the most about the
Lincoln ElectricCompany is that they obviously have a strong culturethat all levels of
employees are proud to be a part of. According to Carpenter, Taylor, and Erdogan
(2010), culture is a more powerful way of controlling and managing employee
behaviors than organizational rules and regulations (pg. 193, para. 2). The Lincoln
Electric Company encompasses facets of multiple types of cultures instead of
adhering to only one. The ways in which the Lincoln Electric Company identifies
with an innovative culture are most prominently explained by the following facets:
not having a traditional hierarchy, and utilizing an open door policy when it comes to
problem resolution. As explained in the Organization Structure section of the Case
Study, personnel are encouraged to take problems to the persons most capable of
resolving them [open door policy] (Sharplin, 1989, pg. 7, para. 1). In the same
section, Sharplin also mentions that, Lincoln has never had a formal organization

26. The Cold Side Of Concrete
There are many places having long cold season. Due to time constraints, many
constructions inevitably do concreting in winter. The cold injury of concrete are that
flake peeling is caused by the freeze thaw damage of concrete surface material and
internal damage produced in the concrete may lead to concreteproperties. Prevention
the cold damage of concrete in winter construction is important. According to the
article, Energy Efficient Approach to Cold Weather Concreting , Barna, Seman, and
Korhonen(2011) introduce a new approach to cold weather concreting which is
antifreeze concrete. They thinks that traditional cold weather concreting method is
expensive and energy in efficient, because traditional method requires artificial
heating of the materials and needs to create a suitable environment for curing normal
concrete. This study compare the estimated annual cost in 1991 and in 2011 to show
the antifreeze concrete result in saving money and explains an initial laboratory tests
to show that antifreeze concrete mixtures are capable of being workable, entraining
air, and meeting the design freezing point. The authors also explains a performance
test to show that the strength gain of concrete cured at 4В°C is same as cured at
+5В°C, and that antifreeze mixtures made concrete be durable. Thus, they conclude
that the antifreeze concrete doesn t need artificial heating which results in saving
time, money, and energy in constructing process. The article is convincing. The

In Spike Lee s Do The Right Thing and Michael Shultz s Krush Grove, the various
sights and sounds that are present from the beginnings of the movies are used as
tools to portray the different African American experiences that are present in both
films. In the opening credits of Do The Right Thing, Public Enemy s Fight the
Power can be heard while a women dances. In this case, the imagery and music are
used as tools to help establish a setting that the movie takes place in. The sights and
sounds in the opening credits help transport the viewer to the streets of Brooklyn in
the late 1980 s, where the majority of Do The Right Thingtakes place. Similar
techniques of creating a setting using sights and sounds are used throughout Krush

Author Guthrie Ramsey states in Musing New Hoods that the music used in Do The
Right Thing depicts a range of associations that include black male and female
subjectivity, ethnic identity, a sense of location, emotional and mental states, a
specific historical moment, and the perspectives of age groups (Ramsey 314). The
various characters in Do The Right Thing such as radio host Mister SenМѓor Love
Daddy (played be Samuel L. Jackson) and Radio Raheem (played by Bill Nunn) use
hip hop music to establish a sense of location, emotional states, and ethnic identity
that is present throughout the movie. In one scene, Radio Raheem is shown in a
confrontation with a group of Latinos playing Salsa music. Radio Raheem proceeds
to blast his hip hop music at full volume in order to outplay the Latinos Salsa music.
This is another example of how music is used in the film to display the ethnic
identities of individuals, as well as the various emotional and mental states that
music can create. In addition to hip hop music, Spike Lee implements a variety of
music genres in Do The Right Thing in order to create a certain ambiance and
feeling. The use of orchestral music throughout the film plays an important role in
establishing specific emotions during scenes. Jazz and soul music are also used to
display emotion during various exchanges between characters. According to Victoria
E. Johnson, the music used in Do The Right Thing serves to convey a romanticized
vision of community in the ethnically mixed neighborhood in which the story takes
place (Ramsey 315).
In Krush Grove, director Michael Shultz uses various musical performances to
display the many aspects of hip hop culture and the African American experience.
Similar to Do The Right Thing, Krush Grove s use of imagery and music help portray
the ethic identities,

is used at key moments to comment on the action and to explain points in Henry s
past, and how that past effects his present judgment. Certain scenes and lines are
borrowed from parts one and two of Shakespeare s Henry IV to do this. The result
is an amalgam of scenes, lines, and characters which brings about a telling expose of
Henry V, and the man he was before becoming king of England. Flashback is used

An ethical dilemma is a situation by which it s difficult to determine whether a

dilemma exists when the right thing to do is clear or when members of the
healthcare team cannot agree on the right thing to do. Ethical dilemmas require
negotiation of different points of view (potter, Perry, Stockert, Hall 2011pg 78).
The case study briefly explains a situation between daughter and father regarding the

with financial expenses the nurse should explore possible ways for him to obtain

When looking at Emilio S point of view, he enjoys gardening, going to church and

I never would have guessed a simple trip home would turn into a life or death
situation. It was the end of summer in 2008; my mom, grandma, and I were coming
home from our short vacation we take every summer to Ames, Iowa while my
brother and dad go to Alaska. The sun shimmered down on us as we cruised down
the various roads to arrive back home.
The traffic was frantic that day forcing our old, rusty, black avalanche to exceed
the maximum speed limit on Highway 13. We neared Central City, Iowa,
approximately 20 minutes from our countryside home while I quietly played on my
mom s old blackberry phone. My mom mentioned previously that it began to appear
quite gloomy in the sky. I slowly rolled down the back window next to my seat. The
heavy, damp smell of a storm emerged into my nose like a frog approaching its prey.
Ominous clouds shifted back and forth in the sky when mom finally told me to check
the weather radar on her phone while she tuned the radio into a weather station. The
radio signal only let out various pitches of static. Before I could check the radar, a
loud boom rumbled in front of me; my mom slammed on the brakes, and my
grandma began latching onto her arm rest. A massive oak tree lay in front of us on
the road, blocking all oncoming traffic. Somehow mom managed to swerve around
the tree as the now impending storm began to swirl around us. Within a matter of
seconds, hail pounded our windshield, rain blinded the outside world, and the wind
whipped even faster,
33. Critical Analysis Of David Lindsay Abaire s Good People
Everybody has a class no matter if your poor or rich. Examining the difference
between Southie and Chestnut Hill you can tell which class is poor and which
class is rich. Through Good People , David Lindsay Abaire argues that rich people
and poor people has a different life styles. This can be seen through his use of
imagery, characterization and conflict. In this play, David Lindsay Abaire uses
imagery to shows what type of life style that Southie and Chestnut Hill has. Firstly,
Southie has many poor people and broken things around them. For example,
Abaire shows how Southie s environment looks by the narration of the play, The
alley behind the Dollar store. There s a dumpster back there and a rusty chair and a
door labelled Dollar store (5). Another way, Chestnut Hill has many rich people
and many expensive things. For example, Abaire narrates about Mikes house in
details, Lights up on a beautiful home. The living room takes up most of the space.
Up and left we may see part of a foyer that leads to the front door. Doorways and
corridors lead off to other parts of the house the kitchen, the dining room, maybe
we see a staircase that leads up to the bedroom (105). The author went into details
to show how rich Mike is. Again, Abaire is showing us that anyone from Southie
will try their luck to get more money. For example, Margret is playing bingo with
her friends in a basement of a church, Margaret, jean and Dottie are at a folding table
in the basement of a

previous two Celtics team had was at the center position. Night in and night out,
the center position was among the worst in terms of production. With Al Horford

bigger, more athletic big men that opposing team s possess. The presence of

probability of life on another planet other than Earth. The reason this article is
important to us is because with these findings, researchers will be eager to follow

flowing mean that life could sustain on Mars. For many years scientists have been
interested in knowing whether or not there is other life and if there has previously
been life on other planets. With this discovery, we are getting closer to coming up
with possible answers.
In the past year, researchers have found probable signs of liquid water flowing on
Mars surface, such as waterlogged molecules, leading to the idea that Mars could

Or why do we care that there could have been life before us on another planet? The
answer is simple, we know that water is essential to life, so water on Mars means
life. Mars is the only planet that we have discovered with signs of water, which
makes this an important discovery. Mars is also very close to Earth in the solar
system, which makes this relevant to us. If we could find evidence of life on Mars it
is possible that we could use findings to our benefit, we could use this as a reason to
keep looking further into Mars. If the research of Mars continued, researchers could
dig deep into the layers of Mars and possibly find even more clues all leading to the
hopeful discovery that life does live or has lived on Mars. It is possible that one day

The name Matthew comes from the Greek Maththaios, which is derived from the
Hebrew or Aramaic Mattiyah. His name means gift of Yahweh or simply gift of
God. Saint Matthew was one of the twelve apostles and he wrote the Gospel
according to Matthew. Although he was a publican, it is said the Saint Matthew
was a Jew. Before his conversion, he was a publican, which was a tax collector, by
profession. Not much is really known about Matthew later on in his life. His
beginning of apostolic activity started in the communities of Palestine. He wrote for
his countrymen in Palestine and composed his Gospel in his native Aramaic. This is

They doubt though that the apostle Matthew wrote the book. Whoever the actual
author was, he is identified as Jewish in origin, because his Gospel contains many
references to Jewish Scripture, law, and ways of life. Although not clear, some
authorities think it was Palestine, and others think is was another early Christian
center, possibly the city of Antioch, where it was written.
Matthew s Gospel has been understood as Jewish Christian in outlook. Matthew had
a number of purposes for writing the Gospel. One was to instruct and exhort
members of his community. He has two broad categories of material: narrative and
discourse. Many scholars conclude Matthew s primary intent was to write a handbook
for church leaders to assist them in preaching, teaching, worship, mission, and
polemic. In his Gospel, Matthew focused clearly on
Jesus Christ and his kingdom as the good news of salvation. For Matthew, Jesus is
not the son of David, but he is the son of Abraham.
Notable in Matthew is its emphasis on Jesus as the promised Messiah and on matters
pertaining to the church. Evidence that it probably was written for Jewish Christians
may be found which is concerned with representing Jesus as the fulfillment of the Old
Testament. The deep interest in the disciples is emphasized in Matthew. Matthew
gives the fullest account of how Jesus called them, how he instructed them, how they
failed him, and

38. Volkswagen Of America s New Process For Managing
Priorities
Volkswagen of America s new process for managing priorities is much more
methodical than how things were done previously. Companies can successfully
manage priorities by adhering to the following guidelines: defining the company s
value, developing logical, fact based prioritization processes , creating frameworks
that resolve resource allocation conflicts... [and] encourage employee collaboration
(Townsend). The new process seemed to follow these guidelines very closely.
VWoA identified and ranked business goals and designed a blueprint for the
company. The new process called for business units to communicate their projects,
which would be laid out against VWoA s blueprint. At this stage, business units
could not only see how their projects affected company goals but also how they
related to other business unit projects. Business units drew up their own project
proposals and ranked them in the order they desired. Projects were then placed in
portfolios of enterprise goals and executed in order of portfolio rank. The new
process resulted in some business units not seeing any of their projects funded. This
resulted in disappointed and distressed unit leads. Complaints regarding the new
process asserted that it was too theoretical and biased towards IT infrastructure
projects. Although there are hypothetical elements in the new process, any process
for managing priorities cannot be one hundred percent certain; the process serves
only as a guide to reach desired outcomes.

only went to Friday prayer when school was out, and I grew apart from my
childhood Muslim friends. Yet I was, and currently am, a part of the Muslim
community. A community which encourages a person to relax their mind and soul
through prayer. While this is all great, there are some interesting aspects of the
Muslim community that I am not completely familiar with. One such topic includes
the various methods in which the Muslim community reaches out to the general
public with a positive message. This sort of thing is a necessity due to the recent rise
of Islamophobia, not only with the conservative crowd, but with the liberal crowd as
well (Bayoumi 132). Islamophobia is fundamentally a prejudice against Islam and
Muslims. It exists within the US in almost every corner of the country. According
to Moustafa Bayoumi, the reasoning behind islamophobia is based off of facts and
ideas which could be easily discredited with a basic understanding of Islam
(Bayoumi 132). Any given Muslim community obviously doesn t want people to
harbor a dislike for them; they want to do what they can to be seen as a

MGS655: Distributed Systems Final Project Report
Mobile distributed Systems for secure communication
Team: Saylee Joshi Shrutee Patil
Abstract:
Wireless communication and mobility introduced a new paradigm in Distributed
Systems. We examined short range wireless data transmission using mobile agent
(developed using Android OS). Presence of mobility in distributed systems
introduces new challenges of reliable and secure communication. In this project, we
propose a secure way of communication via wireless network (comprised of P2P
nodes) Bluetooth and secure the data transmission using asymmetric cryptograph.
Assumptions:
Communicating P2P nodes (here, mobile devices) are not moving,
are within stipulated range,
have hardware capability of wireless communication, and use latest releases of OS
(For Android API 4.0).
Introduction:
Mobile is a most commonly used distributed communication device. Our project
describes the problem encountered with mobile distributed systems and how it can be
solved and implemented for secure P2P communications (Peer to Peer
communications). The system we have is distributed and based on object oriented
architecture, where each node functions as both client and server. Once a network is
established between these nodes, it is difficult to refuse an access to anyone who is
within stipulated range and can see the network with their adapter. It is a set of
distributed systems that communicate via short range wireless technologies. This

his citizens and himself. The dangers of jealousy and revenge, the pitfalls of greed
and the wonders of mercy are just some of the morals that her tales portray.
Examples of these themes can be seen in the stories of the three old men and the
overall tale of the merchant and the demon. In the first old man s tale he is telling
the story of his deer. He reveals to the demon that the deer was once his wife and
that she became a deer because of her actions. She grew jealous of my mistress and
my son (Puchner et al. 1191) The wife, furious at having to share her husband with
another, turns her husband s mistress and son into... Show more content on

When confronting the merchant who killed his son, the demon doesn t just simply kill
the merchant and be done with it. The demon allows the merchant a year to get his
affairs in order and say goodbye to his family. This merciful act almost encourages
the merchant to not go back on his promise to return to the demon for his
punishment. Mercy is also portrayed by the old men in the story as well. The old
men risk their own lives in order to try to save the merchant from the demon. They
did not have to help him and the demon could have decided to kill them for
interfering. But they were able to help the merchant and save his
44. Essay On Anne Sexton
A number of psychotherapists have explored the use of poems in psychotherapy as
an agent of communication between psychotherapists and client, says David
Lester and Rina Terry. Anne Sexton is a perfect example of the quote above
because she uses her poetry as a form of communication and as an outlet to
however she is feeling. In this paper four poems of Anne Sexton s work will be
used to support the quote above: Music Swims Back to Me , Wanting to Die , Her
Kind and The Room of My Life. These poems portray what Sexton was feeling and
going through at the time and also all four of the poems have a common theme.
David Lester and Rina Terry state, it is often easier to communicate important
messages either through their own poetryor through the poems of others. (David
Lester and Rina Terry) In these four poems, Sexton clearly is portraying her
deepest darkest thoughts and motifs that come out with her diagnosed depression.
As Doctor David Lester and Rina Terry say, poetry is an outlet for patients who
have trouble communicating their exact thoughts and feelings (David Lester and
Rina Terry). Poetry is a great outlet for them because it is a free way of expression
there is no limit to what you can and cannot write and more than likely the writers
feeling and emotions will come out. But Sexton found poetry as more of an artform
she dealt with so much more aside from her depression, sexton goes into life
experiences and her bad days versus her good days. Also, what
45. The Parking Space At Magnolia Medical Center
1.Events : We were playing a game called (Parking in the City) at the third class
meeting by divided to different groups. Each group consisted of two students and
should fill some parts in their paper to negotiate Part (A Employee B Garage
attendant) there were Target Point, Resistance Point, BATNA (Best Alternative to
Negotiated Agreement) and ZOPA (Zone of Possible Agreement), which I was the
employee. After that students who had picked part A or B should discuss about
what they would talk and find out how they could peruse the different side. My
part A as Employee that I worked at Magnolia Medical Center, which I reserved
after a reservation from a restaurant in the downtown. My case was that use the
parking space at Magnolia Medical Center because the restaurant is a few minutes
walk from, so I parked my car there but after I had finished my meal I shocked that I
must pay fee with $30 that I should not pay any fee as an employee at Magnolia
Medical Center and the ideal would be to pay $0 even there were change in my
pocket or to pay less than $30. In my opinion, I was unsure in the beginning that if
I could negotiate with the garage manager because I used to be a calm person and
in this situation there were cars behind me, while I was talking with the garage
manager. However, each side tried to convince the other side based on its own
thoughts. 2.Emotions : Actually, I have enjoyed playing with my classmates, as my
feeling was full of happiness for the second
46. The Characteristics Of Being Narcissistic
In recent years, the prevalence of having a main character in television shows be
narcissistic yet likeable has grown. Today it seems that every popular show has
one; Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones and Dexter Morgan from Dexter ,
both show defining characteristics of being narcissistic in nature, yet their
characters are received extremely well by audiences. The question that arises from
this is why do we find insubordination and a lack of regard for rules and the
opinions of others so intriguing? We know their actions are wrong in regard to
how we conduct ourselves in society, but we still are fond of characters who don t
care about social norms or their behavior. A prime example of a character in a
popular television series who... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This characteristic of his personality is one that is alarming but one of the main
aspects of his behavior that s so interesting; the way he carries himself is almost
provocative. Humans are intrigued by things they don t understand. Doctor House
falls into a specific category of people that are not the norm, therefor making his
disposition and erratic behavior that much more attractive. We like things we don t
quite understand, or at least most of us do. There s a certain mystery to it, and
with how bold he is it s understandable that at one point or another people may wish
they could get away with a persona like his. Another crucial aspect to his character
is his observant nature. House looks at three main aspects of people; personality,
appearance and behavior. He then makes an effort to pick people apart and mock
them for personal enjoyment, and partially in some cases to aid in diagnosis. His
methods are unorthodox, but audiences enjoy his observant nature. According to the
creator of the show David Shore, House was created to be like Sherlock Holmes.
From his drug dependency and home address to how he analyzes a room in one
fell swoop their personalities are incredibly similar. People envy Sherlock for his
uncanny perception and ability to solve a mystery as though the plot were written on
a notecard in front of him. There are occasions in which he s wrong, and both he and
House seem to suffer
47. Virtual Team And Its Advantages And Disadvantages
Virtual Team and Its Advantages and Disadvantages During the last decade,
organizations have been working more with technology making it their master.
Technology is not only about new equipment; it is mostly about new ideas and
techniques used. Virtual team is a new approach used today. Virtual groups or teams
have been used from parent to keep contact with teacher to corporations to create
new international business relationships. How far can virtual team be more efficient
than face to face relationships? Society incorporates this method to different
activities not only at work, so virtual team seems more beneficial these days. If we
are going to incorporate virtual teams to our system, we have to know its advantages
and disadvantages, and how it can affect our organization. Virtual team is a technique
used across the world as a communication tool. Virtual team is known as a remote
team, geographically dispersed team or distributed teams. A group works together
across the space, time and boundaries connected by internet. The internet is
fundamental without this technology tool a virtual team doesn t exist. Each group
member must have the skills to be efficient working with internet and specific
software to be connected and work for a common purpose. Virtual team can be the
appropriate option to practice with a group with geographical differences. Location
is a significant obstacle that it is nor more impossible with remote teams, also it is
less expensive than other
48. The Problem Of High School Students
The goal is to target several audiences, with the main target being high school
students. The reason is that high school students are still unsure what their plans are
after graduation, and they are the main individuals that use social media as a key
source for news and information. High school students are the majority of potential
recruits that pursued additional sources of information online and were unable or
unwilling to find their answers from militarywebsites or talking with recruiters (Yeung
and Gifford, 2011). The other target audiences are the influencers and educators of
potential recruits. Attempt to reach out to parents, community leaders, social media
bloggers, and education personnel such as administrators, teachers, counselors, and
coaches. I believe these target audience are an appropriate source to reach out to.
Recruiters across the board say they are weathering what could be a very challenging
recruiting environment thanks to close relationships they have built not just with
potential applicants, but also their parents, teachers, coaches and community leaders
who influence their decisions to join the military (Miles, 2013). The U.S. Army rarely
target college students, unemployment agencies and temporary employment agencies.
This would be another one of my targets for this campaign. Most college students
find out very fast that after graduation, even with a degree, trying to find an employer
willing to hire someone without having any type of experience

The Effects of Genetic and Environmental Factors on Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder, in which the pancreas does not produce
insulin. It usually begins in childhood or adolescence. In Type 1 diabetes, the body s
immune system destroys beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. Insulin is a
hormone that converts sugar, starches, and food into energy. Without insulin, blood
glucose levels become too high, which is known as hyperglycemia. To prevent
hyperglycemia, people with Type 1 diabetes must take insulin daily to survive.
Genetic and environmental factors affect the onset of Type 1 diabetes. [1] According
to the American Diabetes Association, a predisposition to Type 1 diabetes is... Show

The research on the affect of viruses in triggering Type 1 diabetes is inconclusive,
and some is even contradictory. Some researchers have also found that viruses may
prevent Type 1 diabetes. Scientists at Joslin Diabetes Center add trauma as a
potential trigger of Type 1 diabetes. A traumatic event, such as a body trauma or a
car crash, increases the body s insulin requirement and strains the pancreas. [5] Dr.
James H. Warram at the Joslin Diabetes Center concluded that the trauma does not
cause diabetes, but it can trigger the onset of the disease.
Another possible environmental cause of Type 1 diabetes is early diet.
Breastfeeding for at least three months has shown to decrease the risk of Type 1
diabetes, and a diet including cow s milk before the age of one year old may
increase the risk of diabetes. The American Diabetes Association reports that the
onset of Type 1 diabetes occurs more often in winter than in summer. It is also
more prevalent in cold climates. This leads researchers to conclude that cold
weather may be a possible trigger of Type 1 diabetes, as well. [6] Dr. Andrew Weil
(2014) explains that in addition, Weather has an impact on eating and exercise habits,
which can in turn influence how well you re able to control your blood sugar.
(drweil.com, 2014) The phenotype for Type 1 diabetes includes the presence of
autoantibodies in the body. [7] These autoantibodies prevent the pancreas from
