Essay On Economy Of Pakistan
Writing an essay on the economy of Pakistan can be a challenging task due to the multifaceted
nature of the subject. The economic landscape of any country is intricate, involving various
factors such as fiscal policies, monetary measures, trade dynamics, and socio-economic
conditions. In the case of Pakistan, the complexity is heightened by the country's unique
historical, political, and geographical context.
To begin with, extensive research is required to grasp the intricate details of Pakistan's economic
history, its growth patterns, and the challenges it has faced. Analyzing the economic policies
implemented by the government over the years is crucial to understanding the nation's economic
trajectory. Additionally, one must delve into the impact of global economic trends on Pakistan,
considering its position in the international market.
The essay should not only present a comprehensive overview but also critically evaluate the
success or failure of different economic policies. This requires a deep understanding of economic
theories and models, as well as the ability to apply them to real-world scenarios. Balancing
statistical data with insightful analysis is essential to provide a nuanced perspective on the
economic situation in Pakistan.
Moreover, discussing the socio-economic factors influencing the economy adds another layer of
complexity. Factors such as poverty, unemployment, education, and healthcare play a crucial role
in shaping the economic landscape and must be integrated into the essay for a holistic view.
Organizing and structuring the essay can be challenging as well. A logical flow of ideas,
coherent arguments, and a well-defined thesis statement are vital for an effective essay. Ensuring
clarity and coherence while navigating through a vast amount of information is a skill that
requires careful consideration.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the economy of Pakistan demands not only a deep
understanding of economic principles but also the ability to synthesize information from various
sources. It is a task that requires diligence, critical thinking, and effective communication skills to
present a comprehensive and insightful analysis.

America Is Responsible For Transcending The Way
Government...
The United States of America is responsible for transcending the way government
functions. The idea that people have certain inalienable rights that are God given was
revolutionary thinking for the era of the founding fathers. There have been many
instances throughout American history where we have failed to live up to the
founding principles from the Declaration of Independence, of: life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness for all our citizens but we have also had many moments of
inspiration in being trailblazers for freedom when we have lived up to those
principles. The founding fathers themselves were flawed as all people are, but it is
their system of checks and balances that has been instrumental in deterring any of the
three branches government from growing too powerful. They understood that men
/women with an unchecked amount of power is dangerous to humanity. Also, they
realized that they themselves could not adequately anticipate all events or obstacles
in the nations future, and thus, they must have a clause deemed legally capable for
change to antiquated portions of the constitution in the form of amendments. There
have been over 10,000 proposed amendments to the constitution but only 27 ratified.
This leads me to wonder What are some proposed amendments that I might support?
and, What are some amendments that I would propose? The Equal Rights
Amendment is at the top of my list for proposed amendments that I support.

Evidence Based Intervention Case Study
Evidence Based Interventions
According to Hah et al. (2017), several studies have shown that nerve blockade of the
central nervous system (neuraxial anesthesia) or peripheral nerves (regional
anesthesia) reduce the need for opioids in the immediate postoperative phase. There
are two mechanisms through which nerve blockade reduces persistent opioid use.
First, nerve blockade works by impeding the transmission of pain during the
perioperative phase and thereby stopping central sensitization and chronic
neuropathic pain. Second, nerve blocks are effective in treating postoperative pain
and are good predictor of persistent opioid use. Similarly, studies found that
intravenous local anesthetic such as lidocaine reduces perioperative opioid ... Show

Each guideline includes, a recommendation for initial agent, dose, duration,
frequency, and maximum dose to be dispense. According to the guideline, only 1
short acting opioid can be prescribed at a time, avoidance of opioid prescription
before surgery, and reducing concurrent use of sedatives or hypnotics. Patient must
also be present during initial opioid prescription. If patient has not been seen
within the past 30 days, no refill or prescription is allowed. Soffin et al (2017)
equally found clinical assessment as the key enabler of safe opioid prescribing.
Patients must be frequently evaluated to determine the effectiveness of the
medication and dose adjustment. Evidence from Soelberg et al. (2017) study also
suggest that writing prescription for shorter duration and dispensing less medication
have the potential to reduce the risk of long term opioid use. Risk assessment is
crucial, and intervention must be rendered promptly if misuse is suspected. Patients
must be assessed for opioid tolerance preoperatively. Early diagnosis of opioid
tolerance mitigates the risk of acute withdrawal, gives opportunity to optimize
preoperative status, and allows surgeons to design care plan tailored specifically to
the individual need (Soffin, et al., 2017). Early identification of surgical patients with
chronic pain who are
The Niagara Escarpment Ava Is An Ideal Area For Grape
Growing
Introduction
The Niagara Escarpment AVA is a relatively new viticulture designated area. The
area received the designation in 2005 and is now one of the fastest growing wine
regions in New York State. This AVA is comprised of a portion of the Niagara
Escarpment landform that runs from New York State through Canada into
Wisconsin. (Fig. A) The escarpment has formed over time due to erosion of the rock
layers. The top rock layer, dolomitic limestone, is more weather resistant causing it to
erode slower and creating the escarpment landform. Fig. A
The escarpment is an ideal area for grape growing, as well as other fruits, due to the
microclimate created by the combination of the escarpment and Lake Ontario. Those
growing areas that are near the lake experience weather that is slightly moderated by
the presence of the lake waters. Those that are contained on the escarpment receive a
moderated weather pattern due to the escarpments form. The warm air trapped by the
escarpment helps to provide those vineyards with a longer growing season and
protection from harsh winter freezing and spring or fall frost.
The Niagara Wine Trail is currently in a period of growth. In the last few months
several new wineries have been added to the trail and the trail has begun its
expansion towards Rochester. Along with this growth the trail has continued to
increase its number of visitors. Along with local customers the trail also sees many
visitors from Canada, Rochester, Finger Lakes area,

The film speaks about how the local livelihoods are connected with the sea and
how they have made a revolutionary return to traditional hand line fishing to drive
up the fish market price with the 20 year moratorium that had been placed on cod

Based on research by people such as Leonard Milich, he too writes about the
collapse of the Northwest Atlantic cod fishery as shown in the film (Milich 2010).
This research also talks about the strategies that were put in place for the

ABSTRACT
Taxation is identified as a very important tool for national economic development and
growth in most societies. Taxes provide sustainable revenue for government to carry
out its activities. The government s activities help in creating and wealth and
employment opportunities in the society, creating an avenue for citizens to earn
income on which taxes are levied. Through this continuous process the circle of
growth and development in the country is sustained.

Essay about Leonardo Da Vinci
Leonardo Da Vinci
Leonardo DA Vinci (1452 1519), Florentine artist, one of the great masters of high
Renaissance, celebrated as a painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, and scientist. His
profound love of knowledge and research was the keynote of both his scientific and
artistic endeavors. His innovations in the field of painting influenced the course of
Italian art for more than a century after his death, and his scientific studies,
particularly in the fields of anatomy, optics, and hydraulics. He anticipated many of
the developments of modern science.
Leonardo was born in the small town of Vinci, in Tuscany, near Florence

son of a wealthy Florentine notary and a peasant woman. In the mid 1460s the family

Modern interpreters have excentially analyzed the truly classical qualities of this
style which combine, like Greek art of the fifth and fourth centuries BC, a spiritual
and formal dignity, harmony and equipoise never before or after equaled in the
history of post classical art. It is easier to describe this phenomenon than to
explained it. But while older writers regarded it mainly and too simply as a revival of
the pagan art of antiquity, more recent studies have begun to throw light on the
complexities of the style by investigating the intentions of its creators.
In this essay I am going to focus on some aspects of LeonardoВґs life in order to
analyze the things that took him to invent and become one of the most famous artist
in history.
This was the period in history known as the Renaissance, when after hundreds of

Europe had abandoned the dark ages and the feudal system was left behind. New

Difference Between Behavior And Histology Of Pbs Or Lps...
4.Discussion
4.1Review of results
Contrary to what we expected, there was no significant difference between
behaviour and histology of PBS or LPS treated mice. Some results, however, such as
the number of microglial clusters, may benefit from an increase in the n number,
since the lack of significance was caused, partially, due to high variability inside the
groups. We are currently evaluating the immunohistochemistry of 4 mice, although
the initial idea of a profound effect of intranasal LPS over behaviour and histology
seem improbable. This can have several factors which are going to be explored
individually.
4.2Post infection Time Window
Intranasal infection with laboratory isolate of Chlamydia pneumonia was shown to
induce immune reaction in the olfactory bulb and brain at 1 month post infection
(pi), which gradually declined, but was still detectable, at 3 and 4 months (Little et
al., 2014). On our experiment, tissue collection was done roughly 2 weeks after the
LPS injections, therefore, there may have not been enough time for development of
immune response, such as microgliosis. Nevertheless, in vitro studies, which exposed
neuronal cells to Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, as well as LPS, detected increased ОІ
amyloid and hyperphosphorylated tau as early as 2 weeks after exposure (Miklossy
et al., 2006). In contrast, the in vivo study with Chlamydia pneumonia failed to find
tau pathology and suggested that long term exposure to pathogen ( 1 year) may yield

normal. In the officeStanley is the only African Americanand Oscar is the only
Latino, these two are typically quiet and are insulted by Michael. Other notable
individuals in the office include Kevin who is an out of shape middle aged white
man and Dwight who is a very socially awkward middle aged white man. In season
1 episode 5 titled basketball Michael organizes a basketball game between the
office and warehouse staff. Throughout the shows Michael stereotypes employees
of various races and what sports they should be good at . In the process of picking
the basketball team it was most notably displayed with many statements being made
by Michael as to who would be at various sports based on their ethnicity. He made
statements inferring that Stanley would be a starter because he is black. Another
statement that he made was to Oscar Martinez a Latino saying he wouldn t be good

2015 to 16 JULY 2015.This project is funded by NZTA and Local Authorities. This is
a well planned program of maintenance and reconstruction of the road to deal with
future traffic and flood water increases.
VISION Roads, and means of transport, make a crucial contribution to economic
development and growth and bring important social benefits. Roads are among the
most important public assets in many countries. Road improvements bring immediate
and sometimes dramatic benefits to road users through improved access to hospitals,
schools, and markets; improved comfort, speed, and safety; and lower vehicle
operating costs. For these benefits to be sustained road improvements must be
followed by a well planned program of maintenance, therefore it is a paramount to
maintain and reconstruct roads to ensure wellbeing and to increase development of
the country.
Background/purpose Tristram Ave is one of the most important roads which connects
Sunnynook city centre and rest of Waiwera region to Auckland as Tristram Ave
immerges in Auckland Waiwera Motorway,Auckland region state highway 1,

The Elements Of Critical Thinking As A Critical Thinker
Critical thinking is that mode of thinking about any subject, content, or problem in
which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully taking
charge of the structures inherent in thinking and imposing intellectual standards
upon them. (Paul and Elder, 2014). Like going to the gym, deciding to go back to
school to improve your way of life, or saving for a long awaited vacation, critical
thinking similarly requires a self controlled, well organized, and strategic order of
procedures in an effort to reach your intended goal successfully. Additionally, along
this path of success, a thinker may find themselves in a self correcting stage, as one
may attempt to allow their biases, partiality, or ill informed thoughts to take control.
However, a well refined critical thinker can ascertain this success by actively and
expertly enhancing their quality of thought. This attribute is achieved by
implementing specific concepts; such as theory development, exploration,
construction, and/or the investigation of material assembled. According to Paul and
Elder, Excellence in thought must be systematically cultivated . Therefore, a critical
thinker, must purposely put in the work to accomplish success. Richard Paul and
Linda Elder created a critical thinking framework that consists of three major
components: 1. The elements of thought; which is your basis for reasoning, 2. the
intellectual standards; which are applied to the elements of reasoning, and 3.
intellectual traits; which are produced from the application of discipline.
The Elements of Thought
According to Paul and Elder (1997), there are two essential dimensions of thinking
that students need to master in order to learn how to upgrade their thinking. They
need to be able to identify the parts of their thinking, and they need to be able to
assess their use of these parts of thinking. The elements of thought consist of 8 key
mechanisms; which helps the thinker to implement reasoning on different aspects on
each thought level. 1.Purpose: All reasoning has a purpose; therefore, it is the
thinker s responsibility to understand the purpose, goals and objectives of any given
concept to satisfy a specific wish and justify some need. 2.

that the results of the study when disseminated through publication, will inform
prospective female head teachers in basic schools about the challenges that they
should anticipate and the various strategies they can employ to surmount the
situation. It is hoped that this will encourage female head teachers who have similar
challenges to develop similar strategies to help them. It will also serve an additional
The Word Perseverance Is Necessary For The Lack Of...
Everyday, people struggle to get through simple tasks due to the lack of
perseverance. Merriam Webster s dictionary definition for the word perseverance
is a continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or
opposition. In terms of usage, perseverance is used as a noun that comes from Latin
origin with per meaning through, and severus meaning sever. Synonyms of the
word consist of persist or to carry on, while antonyms are to give up or to quit.
Perseverance is an important trait due to the fact that without it, nothing will get
achieved. As soon as you run into trouble you will show weakness and just give up.

A second example from Temple Grandin would be when she could not figure out
how to build a model of a distorted house. Temple tried many different designs and
failed many different times. But that is how she got her results. Trial and error
states that you need to fail before you can succeed. That is how her life was and
how ours should be. Temple came across hurdles but she leaped over the top of
them all because eventually with enough time and effort, she succeeded. She thrived
in the face of adversity by continuing to try them over and over again. At this rate
nothing could stop her. She used the haters and motivation and fuel to keep the fire
inside her heart burning. They all doubted her and said she would never accomplish
anything, she ended up proving them all wrong. Now just as Temple Grandin was an
inspiration to us all, so is another woman named Melba Pattillo Beals. Melba was one
of the first nine african american students to integrate an all white school. So as
you can imagine, the citizens and parents of the Little Rock High School were not
happy about the integration. A quote on page 167 from the book, Warriors Don t
Cry says, The boys were brash and bold, behaving as if they feared no
consequences. This quote shows how terribly treated Melba was. She was cussed at,
physically abused, burned, spit on, and just broken down to the bone. But she didn t
let it get to her. It shows the author s purpose because Melba would not show
weakness.
Nuclear Fusion a Feasible Source of Power Essay example
Is Nuclear Fusion a Feasible Source of Power?
Abstract:
Nuclear fusion may be an effective solution to the energy problem in today?s world.
Fusion is environmentally friendly and has the potential to generate massive amounts
of power. It is evident that the Sun?s power is fueled by nuclear fusion. Recent
advancements such as ITER and NIF may bring us closer to being able to use fusion.
We find that nuclear fusion is a long term solution to a continuing problem.
Introduction:
Since the Industrial Age, energy from fossil fuels has become widespread. In recent
times, the depletion of fossil fuels is forcing humanity to search for other alternatives,
such as nuclear fusion. Fusion has been an attractive method of energy for a ... Show

Scientists aim to gain knowledge and improve the power output, the time duration,
and the energy cost.
Nuclear fusion is a process that occurs when two hydrogen isotopes (tritium and
deuterium) fuse together. This reaction produces a neutron and also a large amount
of energy. However, a massive amount of heat is necessary for the reaction to initiate
because the nuclei (which have very strong opposing charges) must fuse together.
The temperature necessary for this to occur is over one hundred million degrees
Kelvin. When the reaction occurs, the energy is so great that it is very difficult to
contain. So far the known methods of containment are magnetic confinement and
inertial confinement. The magnetic confinement uses a very powerful magnetic field,
and the inertial confinement uses the inertia of the reaction.
(Figure 1, wikipedia, ?nuclear fusion?) We will investigate published literature that
either supports or reflects if fusion is feasible. We believe fusion would be a feasible
source of power if it could produce reasonably more energy that is put in.
Results and Discussion
There are several methods to create nuclear fusion for power. The most successful is
the star, which uses gravity and pressure to fuse hydrogen and create helium.
Unfortunately we cannot harness a sun and harvest it on earth for raw fusion energy.
However, we can create small reactions similar to that of the sun in the lab and turn
the radiant energy
Evidence Based Decision-Making Process
Some of the takeaways from this case I have noted are using the Evidence Based
Decision Making process will help remove all emotions and biases on the decision
as we will be using supporting facts that are accurate to help support generating the
best decision possible. In the Deepwater Horizon Disaster case study, the team
members were aware of the well performance issues as they were happening and
informed executives. One of the major takeaways was once they were notified of the
problems with the well s performance, they did not act on the notifications which
resulted in the problems continuing to build up. If the team had taken action when the
irregularities were happening and treated each deviation from the norm as such and

Yellow Journalism In American War
Yellow journalism is a type of journalism that contained exaggerated stories paired
with eye catching photos, drawing many readers. Historians throughout the years
have postulated that this is the cause for the Spanish American War; however this is
deceitful. Although many articles were intentionally made to anger Americans, thus
causing war, the yellow press had no effect on the decision to declare war against
Spain. William Randolph Hearst, a person often credited with beginning the yellow
press genre, made an unsuccessful attempt to start a war. President Mckinley had his
own reasons to announce war with Spain that were completely unrelated to yellow
journalism.

Newspapers that did not fit the genre, yellow journalism, also covered stories of
the ongoing fight between Spain and Cuba. Two examples are New York Herald
and the New York Sun. These newspapers were known for sometimes surpassing
even the Journal in the amount of aggressiveness. An excerpt from one of their
articles proves without a doubt how antagonistic they could write. They claimed
the Spanish were, guilty of deeds which no other modern army would perpetrate. If
there be an American whose blood does not boil when he reads them, or who
would not take up arms to put a stop to them, his Americanism is bogus, and is
manhood is a mockery of the world. The yellow press was also not the only one
that spread rumors. The New York Press claimed that the first move by the
American Navy would be to capture Havana if there were to be war with Spain.
Both the New York Press and New York Sun published an article of Weyler s
possible dismissal and departure from Cuba. It is completely unfair to only credit
the yellow press for being the only type of newspaper to continuously write
aggressively about Spain s control over Cuba, and then saying they could actually

Stanley Cup was the most popular trophy awarded for a century to North America
s best hockey team. By the 1990 s there was a shift from pure hockey to a hockey
experience with a variety of entertainment added to increase the appeal of the
game. To create exposure, new recruitments were also made. NHL s strength lied
in its strong partnerships with firms like NIKE, Coca Cola and Anheuser Busch.
NHLs achieved great success with little exposure so with the right support and

Hockey is not a tangible product to increase the popularity of which they can add

in defense of the Union capital. His time with the Seventh New York Regiment
was short lived, due to the unit only serving for thirty days and was disbanded.
During his time in Washington D.C. with his regiment, Shaw discovered his
purpose in life and with much respect and enthusiasm he applied for a commission
in in the regular Army. In May of 1861, his request was granted and he was
assigned to the Second Massachusetts Regiment at the rank of second lieutenant.
This decision to follow his new found purpose placed him in the position to be
involved in some of the Civil Wars greatest and pivotal battles that determined the
momentum of the war. Shaw served in campaigns in western Maryland and
Virginia serving under Major General Nathaniel Banks, who was actively engaged
in stopping major General Thomas Stonewall Jackson s Shenandoah Valley
campaign. Shaw nearly avoided being wounded while fighting in the First Battle
of Winchester, when a bullet struck his pocket watch. Shaw, now baptized by fire,
was offered a position on Brigadier General George H. Gordon s staff and accepted.
He was promoted shortly after the Battle of Cedar Mountain to Captain. The Second
Massachusetts s was present for the Battle of Second Manassas, but was held in
reserve and did not see any action, but later on September 17th, he would be involved
in the bloodiest battle of the entire Civil War, Battle of Antietam. Shaw would be

Examples Of Art And Renaissance Art
Art can be classified into different eras by their similar and distinguishing subjects
and methods. They show the progression and timeline for different standards of art
and the point of views and values for the people of the time. For example, the
Renaissance art period, was an art period in which religious authority figures sought
to beautify their cities and palaces with artworks detailing religious themes.
Renaissanceart was also commissioned by wealthy bankers, and churches. What is
usually seen in artworks of the time are elegant and detail oriented work influencing
the sense perception of what one visualizes of the time period to be as, grand and
sophisticated. They represent the high esteem that was held by the commissioners of

In regards to art being defined by having the ability to evoke emotions from an
audience, it should be recognized that art can still be shaped by the values of
today. Art isn t a concrete concept and varies among person to person regarding the
ways they see art, and how it is portrayed. Therefore, there is still a lot more to be
learned about art and it s meanings. Art in the form of literature, like Candide by
Voltaire, written in the 17th and 18th century still holds implications and universal
themes that can be seen in life in the 21st century. In relation to Candide itself, there
are occurrences of the themes of negative impacts of greed, views on man made
philosophy, and the harms of oppression. All of these topics are prevalent in current
society even though they may not be seen in the exact forms seen in the 18th
century. Despite it being written to comment on the society of the Enlightenment era,
it also transcends through multiple eras, as each student or person who reads it can
take away a new interpretation of it. With the background of the culture and society
one grows up in, different responses can add new emotion and meaning than
originally intended and therefore develops a story beyond it s literal meaning. Same
can be said for other artworks of the past.
So What Analysis Miles Davis
So What Miles Davis Solo Analysis
Miles Davis solo is very minimalistic mainly using crotchet and quaver rhythms
throughout with the occasional triplet or semiquaver grace note. For the A sections
of the first chorus he bases phrases around the minor pentatonic scale. He develops
his opening motif (bar 2 of A1) in bar 4 7 returning to the root (E) in between each
ascending then descending phrase going up to the 7th (D) in the final variation of
the motif. The phrase lengths are irregular; Davis generally uses shorter phrases in
the E minor Sections taking a vertical approach to the improvisation then uses longer
phrases in the contrasting F minor section where he takes a more horizontal
approach. In A1 of the second chorus Davis ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Davis uses his opening phrase, an upbeat crotchet followed by another 3 crotchets,
at the start of both choruses and continues to use the 3 crotchet pattern throughout
the solo for example bar 7 of A2 in chorus 1. He also uses the pair of quavers
starting or ending a phrase motif from So What throughout this solo for example bar
7 of A1 chorus 1. From the start of this solo Davis makes use of the upper extensions
starting on the 9th (E) of the D minor chord. He tends to start the majority of phrases
on the 4th of the chord being played at the time and also emphasises the 6th at the
end of some phrases (bar 7, A1 in chorus 1) using the F# over an A minor chord. In
general phrases last for about 2 bars although the phrase lengths increase during the
middle of the solo. One of the standout melodic phrases is the partly chromatic
semiquaver/triplet run in bar 7, A1 in the second chorus followed by the repeated
triplet pattern in the following bar. This phrase contrasts with the rest of the solo
and adds variation and excitement whilst moving the solo forwards. Davis uses
triplet scalic/chromatic runs in order to emphasise notes at the start of phrases for
example, bar 8 of A1 in section 1 where the runs leads to the G which emphasises the
use of the 11th over the D minor chord. Miles Davis also uses ghost notes in this solo
(bar 6 of A2 chorus) in order to vary the dynamic levels
Comparison Of Minnelli And Jacques Demy s Les
Demoiselles...
Jacques Demy s Les Demoiselles de Rochefort is a whirlwind of color, light, joy,
design, and music. It s a visual tour de force, a treat for the eyes. It s also similar, in
many respects, to the work of Vincente Minnelli. Minnelli, especially with his
musicals, carefully designed every little detail. For him, the mise en scene was
paramount, so much so that character development would be expressed through the
scenery. For example, Gene Kelly literally brings color wherever he goes in
American in Paris. In Minnelli s world, the worst thing a character can do is bring
ugliness. Beauty was key. But that s not to say that Minnelli s films were light and
fluffy. Even his airier films, like The Pirate, had tonal complexity. Demy s musical
world is also highly stylized and designed. Everything looks extremely artificial
and character joy matches their outfits. But it s not completely the same to
Minnelli s world. For one, this musical is very happy. Cares and worries are taken
away through musical numbers. Characters have a formal idea of the perfect man
or woman. But Demy still manages to achieve tonal complexity, just in a slightly
weirder way. Compare Rochefort to American in Paris. Both films are stunningly
beautiful. American in Paris plot is very light, allowing the relationship between
Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron to be explored. The plot s also kept light to make room
for the extended ballet sequence at the end. However, compared to Rochefort, the plot

Brief Summary Of Phineas Gage
Phineas Gage was a railroad construction foreman who was working on the railroad
in Cavendish. He was tamping for a blast when he turned his head for a minute to
check on his men. The powder detonated the tamping iron which was 43 inches
long, 1.25 inches in diameter and weighed 13.25 pounds as it shot skyward, it
penetrated Gage s left cheek, as it ripped into his brain exiting through his skull,
and it landed several dozen feet away. Gage transformed from a polite and caring
person to one who was selfish and lashed out at others with profanity. Once a smart,
lively, energetic and hardworking foreman, Gage became very erratic and unreliable.
He could no longer form or execute plans nor was there any evidence of forethought
within his plans.
The Network Structure Is Called Learning Beyond
Organization Description
The organization we will be working for to organize and implement their network
structure is called Learning Beyond. It is a small educational program that students
can attend after school in place of the after school child care. It provides a fun
educational environment for students who are in need of additional tutoring in
certain subjects, or who wish to expand their knowledge beyond the school day. As
of right now, it is fairly small, but we would like room for additional growth as the
program gains popularity. The basic requirements are two main instructor computers,
10 student laptops, and one wireless printer. Internet access will be needed for each
of these computers as well. An additional building will later be provided at an
alternate location that will need to be connected to this main network. A Juniper
Router will be needed, since the operating system the computers will be running
will be JUNOS. We will configure the network to be run on the IPv6 addressing
system, to prevent the need of reconfiguration when the mass crossover to IPv6
occurs. The network needs to be configured to add any additional devices that will be
needed in the future as the program grows.
Configuring IPv6 on a Juniper router A router on the network will provide the ability
to connect multiple local area networks (LAN) together in order for them to
communicate. In this case, we will be using a Juniper router to accommodate the
JUNOS operation system.

Cold War Uniqueness
The Uniqueness of the Cold War
Following the second World War, tensions arose between the United States and the
Soviet Union in what is known as the Cold War. The Cold War was mostly a war of
threats and races for prestige, such as the arms race and space race. However, the
war of threats boiled over into proxy wars fought between ally countries of either
side, economically and militarily aided by the two superpowers. Although the Cold
War did not involve open warfare between the US and Soviet Union, aggression was
manifested through the use of economic warfare, utilizing the arms race, space race,
and proxy wars.
A large part of the Cold War was the costly nuclear arms race. At the beginning of the
Cold War the US was the only nation known... Show more content on

Both nations had started working on the development of surveillance satellites
prior to the peak of the space race. However, the Soviets were able to launch their
satellite before the US could. Following the unexpected launch of Soviet satellite,
Sputnik, many Americans felt a sense of urgency to catch up on ground already
lost to the Soviets. After constant testing and trials, America fell short again when
the Soviet Union sent Yuri Gagarin to orbit the earth, making him the first human
in space. America responded to this with the Apollo missions, with the goal being
to land man on the moon. However, with ten thousand dollars being the cost of
putting a pound of payload into near Earth orbit, it is safe to say that the cost of
landing on the moon and returning would be upwards of a billion dollars (Kaku).
Finally, the US was victorious and their Apollo 11 mission landed on the surface of
the moon in July 1969. Shortly after the US landed on the moon, the Soviet Union
dropped out of the race to the moon because their tests kept failing, and it was
getting too costly. Due to the Soviet Union dropping out, the US essentially won the
space race. Consequently, it could be said that the US also won the economic battle
that occurred alongside the space race with them coming out as the superior nation,
and with less money used and less money wasted than the Soviet
Theories Of Yale Skull And Bones Society
What exactly is Yale s skull and bones society? This question has been asked by
many people and no clear conclusion has been reached. People have known about
this society for many years, but no one really seems to know what the society
actually is and their goals. All we know for sure is that the society exists and it is
very secretive. There are only a few select people in this society that are sworn to
secrecy. Along with the secrecy, there are many conspiracy theories that are
associated to the society. Some of these include the JFK assassination, secret spies,
failures of the democratic party, and more. People have also related many past events
to this skull and bonessociety. While doing thorough research on this secret society, I
found that many of the societies members have gone on to positions of power or
have some control in America s society. This information has lead me to believe
that the purpose of this society is to gain positions of power and then control the
nation and it s events in any way that they want. This leads me to believe that this
society has been doing illegal things without any backlash. In this essay, I will be
going through my opinion on this society based on my research of trustworthy
sources. Yale s Skull and Bones Society is a secret organization whose purpose is to
gain positions of power to have control over the nation so they can do as they please.

La Canzone Del Piave
La Canzone del Piave (The Piave s song) was arguably the best example among the
songs, as Bubola defined them, imposed from above (Bubola, 2015) The song,
which has kept intact its popularity until today, is able to narrate the war in its
entirety in few verses. Through the tune it is indeed possible to identify the
beginning of the war, the early and clamorous Italian Army defeat of Caporetto and
the final victory too. But that was also one of the most glaring examples of
manipulation of fact carried out by the high command. Despite, as Perucchetti
(2015) recognised, the songs has a beautiful melody and incisive lyrics with sharp
and imaginative strophes like: Era un presagio dolce e lusinghiero il Piave

Bubola underlined how it was also full to the brim with rhetoric messages and
historic inaccuracies . (Bubola, 2015) As a result, the soldiers weren t identifying
themselves in that song, first of all because of a motto which the superiors
imposed them to learn by heart: O il Piave o tutti accoppati (Or we hold on the
Piave line or we die). Then, because the song was composed and performed
publicly for the first time in Naples one thousand miles far from the war theatre in
1918, only few months before the end of the war. Finally, because the song s
meaning was totally distorted. At first, the song was referring to the defeat of
Caporetto in a pessimistic way, pointing at the event as national shame and betrayal.

Why Building A Building Envelope Design Is Important At...
As time moves forward, the design for better and more sophisticated envelope
buildings will continue to be important at all the levels of construction. Basically a
building envelope is the separation between the interior and the exterior environment
with the inclusion of air, light, heat, water and noise transfer resistances. The building
envelopeacts as a thermal barrier, because it regulates the temperature of the inside,
while the outside temperature can be different. Having a great envelope design can
provide more effective results on any type of climate. This is one of the reasons on
why building managers are focusing more in having a great envelope design,
especially now that every company wants to reduce energy costs and be more energy
friendly.
Basic Components The basic components of an envelope are floors, roofs,
fenestrations (windows, skylights, clerestories, etc), doors, walls and more. The
biggest function of a successful envelope design is to see how the heat is been
transferred between the outside and the inside. Minimizing heat transferring can be
very important because it can help reduce the amount of need of the space cooling
and heating. That is why understanding how heat is been transferred and the types
of insulations that can be used in walls can decrease energy costs at a larger scale.
Engineers and architects have created new ways to improve the way a building is
designed to have great heat efficiency and maximize the light from the sun. As a

The Ends of the World as We Know Them by Jared Diamond describes the factors that
made powerful societies through history collapse. What makes this text interesting, is
the way the author relates these problems to the current situation in the United States.
Diamond develops a very effective technique during the description of these factors
by creating a parallelism between ancient societies and the modern age. This
parallelism allows the author to analyze the problems that threaten modern day
society and more specifically the United States. One very important feature of
Diamonds analysis and description in the text is the level at which the reader is

The most straightforward: take environmental problems seriously. They destroyed
societies in the past , and they are even more likely to do so now. In 6,000
Polynesians with stone tools were able to destroy Mangareva Islands, consider what
six billion people with metal tools and bulldozers are doing today. Moreover, while
the Maya collapse affected just a few neighboring societies in Central America,
globalization now means that any society s problems have the potential to affect
anyone else. Just think how crises in Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq have shaped the
United States today. (646) In this paragraph the author engages the reader in thinking
about the magnitude of environmental problems in modern day society by creating a
parallelism with the Mayan and Polynesian cultures. This is one of the many
examples the author uses throughout the text. In this text Diamond introduces a series
of factors that have proven to gradually destroy strong kingdoms and cultures
throughout history. He thinks of these factors as a useful checklist that should be
examined in order to disrupt their progression in today s world. When it comes to
historical collapses, five groups of interacting factors have been especially important:
the damage that people have inflicted on their environment; climate change; enemies;
changes in friendly trading partners; and the society s political, economic and social
responses to these shifts.

Women s Underpaid In Pro Sports
In today s society women are able to become anything they wish. Generations ago
women did not have the privilege to become what they truly desired compared to
the women of today. Although women can become anything they desire, they
cannot succeed financially. Women are still underpaid in many areas, especially
in Pro Sports. The disparity in pay for women compared men s pro sports is
absurd. Female athletes have also seen greater success in sports as well and have
been belittled and condemned of the rewards they rightfully deserve for the
achievements in their sports. It is simple, gender should not define pay in pro sports,
especially if they both have equal to or greater success in their respected sports.

Pansexual, Transsexual And Homosexuals
In today s present day, knowing what sexual orientations there are is important,
especially when trying to understand an individual and their life style. There are
many different types including being heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual,
transsexual and transgender. When understanding these individuals, it can also help
understand how and why society should treat them properly. Many individuals both
heterosexuals and those in the LGBTdeserve to be treated fairly, especially when it is
about their sexuality. Many of these individuals took their own lives because of the
treatment they receive. Being a heterosexual means that an individual that is attracted
to the opposite sex. In today s society, the nontechnical term to being a heterosexual
is called being straight. According to Statista.com, 98.8% of American men and
97.7% of American women in 2013 consider themselves straight. This shows that, in
America, there are more men than women who consider themselves straight .
Homosexuals are men and women who are attracted to the same sex. Homosexual
men are called gay and homosexual women are called lesbians. In America,
according to Statista.com, 1.5% of women and 1.8% of men consider themselves
lesbian or gay. Knowing this it proves also that there were more homosexual men
than women in 2013. Many of these men and women were oppressed or treated
unfairly because of their sexuality. According to Case Western Reserve University,
they state, more than one third of
What Is Graph Theoretical Analysis
1.3.4. Introduction to graph theoretical analysis. The case of brain perfusion SPECT.
In the field of quantitative neuroimaging, graph theoretical analysis is one of the
methods to study brain connectivity [93 95, 100, 101]. A key concept of this
method is the notion of topology. This concept can be illustrated with a simple idea
which is used when we travel in the subway of any large city. In figure 3 two maps
of the London subway appear, the first map shows a precise spatial description of the
railways (or lines) through which trains travel (i.e., the subway topography), whereas
the second one is only concerned with the relative locations of subway stations and
connecting lines (i.e., the subway topology). These two maps do not coincide with
regards to the relative position of the stations, neither in the distances nor in the
location of the lines. However, the topological map simplifies the problem for the
traveler. For example, two stations may be physically (topographically) ... Show more

By simply inspecting the topological maps, it is not easy to know if one subway is
better organized than the other (e.g., subway efficiency). One way to simplify this
problem is to use metrics that quantify or analyze the subway network using graph
theory [94, 101]. Hence the name of graph theoretical analysis.
A first aspect to measure could be how easy it is to travel between any two stations
(e.g. the number of stations on average, between the start and end of the trip). This
aspect is relevant, especially if the traveler wants to visit different parts of the city
on the same day. This example illustrates the concept of global efficiency of a graph
[94, 101]. The metric of global efficiency is a way to quantify the global connectivity
(integration) of the network. In this example, it is assumed that the number of
stations (nodes) and lines (connectors) are the same in the two subways that are
Football Injuries In Football
Unlike the Greek hero Achilles, soccer players have more than one weak spot. The
lower extremities particularly the knees and ankles are most frequently affected,
but the other areas of the body are also punished by this widely played sport and are
not immune to injury. Most of these injuries are superficial, and play can be resumed
after a short layoff. Now and then, a player may suffer a more than serious injury,
which requires appropriate first aidand further expert treatment.
1.Skin Injuries
As an external protective covering of the human body, the skin is particularly
vulnerable to sports injuries. Abrasions, skin detachment or lacerations are not
uncommon on the soccer field. These skin injuries can be very painful but are
usually harmless and heal quickly with no external intervention. Larger wounds must
first be cleaned, then disinfected and eventually wrapped with a sterile dressing.
Always bear in mind that a skin injury enables germs to enter the body; therefore a
wound always presents the danger of infection.
a.Abrasions
First Aid
To reduce the risk of infection, the surface of the wound should be cleaned with a
Ringer s or saline solution. Then disinfect the wound with a gentle skin disinfectant
and cover it with a sterile, non adhesive wound dressing. Play can usually then be

Later in the healing process, an infection must be prevented. If necessary, the bandage
should be changed daily and the wound cleaned with an

continue to question why I was being awkward. I also would consider asking the
appropriate people to tag along and skip with me throughout the aisle and observe
how they would provide me with an answer. In society today people decide what is
normal and abnormal, when I reflect back I realized that people will not appreciate
unusual behavior and showed signs of anger. Breaking this social norm helped
understand how the community reacted to unusual behavior and changed my view of
how I would interpret the situation if another person attempted the same
What Is The Obligation To Endure
In the story The Obligation to Endure you may ask yourself, how do we live with
each other and with the world the answer to that question is we can live with each
other and with the world by making sure we remember the long term effects of the
chemical products we use. Meanwhile in the story Thinking Like a Mountain you
make ask yourself another question what does thinking like a mountain mean.
Thinking like a means that the mountain has stood for a long time and understands
the balance of nature and how everything serves a purpose. One way in which we
can live with each other and with the world is to endure ourselves on the far reaching
effect of chemical pesticides. For instance, in her article The Obligation to Endure
environmentalist Rachel Carson states... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She writes about the harmful consequences of lethal materials being released into the
environment. She uses horrifying evidence, a passionate tone, audience, and the
overall structure of her essay to express to her readers that the pollution created by
man wounds the earth. There are many different ways that pollution can harm the
environment, from the nuclear explosions discharging toxic chemicals into the air, to
the venomous pesticides sprayed on plants that kills vegetation and sickens cattle. In
Thinking Like a Mountain, the author, Aldo Leopold, writes of the importance of
wildlife preservation through examples of the symbiotic relationship of animals and
plant life with a mountain. He asks the reader to perceive the processes of a
mountainous environment in an unusual way. Aldo Leopold wants the reader to
think like a mountain instead of thinking of only the immediate, or as the hunter did.
Taking away one feature of an ecosystem may eventually destroy everything else that
that environment is composed of. Nature and wildness is essential for the well being
of life on this
Dean Kamen Wants You To Make Mistakes
Heather Clancy, a journalist who writes primarily about transformative technology
and innovation, writes in her article Dean Kamen wants you to make mistakes about
Dean Kamen and his non profit organization, FIRST Robotics (http://www.usfirst.org
/). Kamen talks about how American culture glorifies sports competition and he
believes using the sports theme model is a way to have American youth excited
about science and technology. As a result of his idea FIRST Robotics will see
approximately 350,000 students supported by more than 64,000 volunteer mentors
during the 2014 season. FIRST began, in 1989, as a high school only program, but
due to its Lego League program s it now had participants from kindergarten to twelfth
grade. In addition to the sports themed robotics competition Kamen tries to recruit
people who are both celebrities and technologists to help promote the idea that youth
should be using engineers and scientists as role models. Furthermore, Kamen has

It discusses the pedagogy of teaching students to not fear failing. As long as they
can fail without hurting anyone or anything then they can learn from their mistakes
and move ahead. Many readers of this paper might argue that children who fail
would have a negative self reflection about the event and therefore not want to try
in the future. Additionally, this paper covers using the excitement of sports to help
teach STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) to students in an
effective way. Even though STEM is a major educational movement in today s
society the author does not allude to this in anyway. In her interview with Kamen,
Mrs. Clancy finds his point of view to be that of The unintended consequence of
redefining success as a lack of failure is that we quickly become so risk averse and
everything we do in life is only marginally better than what we did yesterday!

Vincent Van Gogh Research Paper
I chose Vincent Van Gogh because he was not only a great artist, but a tortured soul
as well. The 19th century painter Vincent Van Gogh is almost as famous for his
mental instability as for his vivid paintings. Van Gogh knew how to use the brush
just so as to display his feeling for all to see, though it may not have been adequately
understood much less well received at the time. Vincent Van Goghwas born in the
Netherlandsin 1853, a year after his mother had given birth to a stillborn child to
which a year later, the same name was given to Vincent. He would pass the grave of
his brother with the headstone which bore his name, how s that for depressing! He
felt rejected his entire life of thirty seven short years, by his mother, his friend... Show

His mood only got worse because nobody wanted to buy his paintings due to the
fact that his paintings lacked that certain flair or pizzazz that would later be
developed. His favorite thing to do each morning was to go out into the field and
paint whatever he saw, he had an uncanny way of putting feeling behind his
paintings so that the person looking at it was able to get the feel of the painting. I
think it was always a shame that Van Gogh was never appreciated in life as he was
in death, and his work was never appreciated either. It was said that his mother never
truly appreciated him even when he was deemed a genius, she had her own demons
though and it was impossible for him to live up to the assumed greatness of his
stillborn brother, for which he was named.
In 1886, he went to Paris to join his brother Theo, the manager of Gopil s gallery in
Paris, van Gough studied with Cormon inevitably met Pissarro, Monet, and Gauguin.
He was so taken with these new impressionist painters, he tried to copy what they
did but was unsuccessful. He saw, in Paris, new ideas never thought of before and
started lightening his dark shades and thus, developed a bolder, unconventional, and
truly unique style. Though he had changed his style, Van Gogh was still not selling
any work which drew him even more into depression as
Essay The Gospel of Mark
INTRODUCTION
At the risk of being judgmental this book is very complicated. The points are many
and varied. In his lead up to his commentary proper Myers makes many points as he
expounds the many topics that would influence that commentary. The World of
Jesus and the World of Mark, the filters and models of that social world, the cross
cultural history and the socio economic tensions of both worlds are all considered.
The Jewish War is also a point to consider in that it occurs around the time of writing
and most of the historicity comes from the works of Josephus. The major point to
consider however is Myers self confessed socio historical hermeneutic.
Because there are two parts to this essay discussion has been restricted to ... Show

The hypotheses on how this Gospel originated are many and varied. The continuity of
the actual message of the story of the life of Jesus seems, it would be generally
agreed, to hinge on the Gospel of Mark being a source for the other Synoptic gospels
at least. Much argument has also gone on about the place and time of writing of
Mark and how this influences the traditioning or the handing on of the story. How
the original written version came to be from the oral process is also a cause for the
concern as regards continuity of the story. Was it faithfully translated?
Nineham states that Jesus very character was determined by the particular
circumstances in which the tradition was handed down. Those who kept it shaped the
tradition itself. They had their own motives and beliefs and these have influenced the
tradition that has brought out the character of Jesus as we know today (Nineham
1986: 21).
This traditioning was a process that began by orally recounting the story at private or
public gatherings. The public gatherings being more favoured because preachers or
teachers, that is those entrusted with the traditioning process, would have told the
story at worship or catechumen gatherings (Nineham 1986: 22).
As is sometimes the practice with preaching today so it may have been in the first
century. Anyone telling the story would be driven by a particular need of the time,
for example if a message on good neighbours was needed then the
Mac vs Windows
Windows PC s versus MAC by Apple While shopping for a computer many people
ponder if they should buy a MAC or Windows PC. It is a debate that has been
ongoing since both computers came into the tech scene. There are loyal and devout
followers to both companies and computers. For some, it can be a tough decision
with the many options and features of each computer, but for others the choice to be
made is not very tough to make. A Windows laptop is a better complete computer
then a MAC book because of its ability to be used in a wide range of applications.
While both computers seem the same on the outside, for example both use the basic
foundations of the computer, including the skeletons of the keyboard, the outline of
the mouse,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In general basic Windows PC s usually start out around $400 $500. This is a basic
PC but is a very good home computer or one that can be used for basic functions
like surfing the Internet and using email. This is usually a good start for a family
who does not use the computer for much more than the internet, or for a student
who just needs to write papers and possibly Microsoft office. MAC s start out over
$1000 and are not customizable for someone who is looking for basic features in a
personal computer. While MAC s are also more technological and can perform
many functions you have the ability to get the same features at around the same
cost in a Windows PC because of its adaptability. MAC s are very pricey because of
their processors and the ability for them to run many more programs at once but
these features are standard and cannot be removed to lower the price. Windows PC
s have the ability for these features to be added, and you can choose which are
more important to you. For example, you can upgrade to an Intel i7 processor
which will meet the speed of a MAC but go with less storage space which may not
be needed because you prefer to play games on your computer. It is unfortunate that
Apple has not noticed this and mad adding features to a MAC an option thus
making them more expensive. Price will not be an issue when buying a Windows
PC because you choose what you want for what price you can afford. As you can see,
Causes And Solutions Of Food Insecurity
INTRODUCTION
This report will explore the impacts, causes and solutions of food insecurity and other
contextual factors relating to Chad s economic and financial crisis.
STATEMENT OF FINDINGS
Food security exists when everyone in the population has access to enough nutritious
food to live an active and health life. In Chad there is no food security, because not
everyone has enough food to eat. In fact, according to World Food Program 25
34.9% of Chad is undernourished.
Chad is Africa s 5th largest nation, known for its sacred Chad Lake. It has seven
neighbouring countries whom are Sudan, Niger, Libya, Central African Republic,
Cameroon, Nigeria and Darfur. Altogether they are all resided in North East Africa.
Currently, Chad has 14 million populations and 14.28 deaths occur in every 1000
people. Sadly, Chad has the 6th highest death rate in the world. The life expectancy
for females is only 52.7 years and the male life expectancy is 50.8 years. In
comparison to Germany, Chad s longevity statistics has a tremendous differ in the life
expectancy, incomes and health care by at least 48%.
At the moment, Chad s citizens have a low income, a loss of education and an
alarming lack of health care. According to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA),
only 40.2% of the population can read and write. In addition, not only do Chad lack
education, but only 87.9% have access to sanitation facilities and there is only 36%
school enrolment within the country. Some major contextual
Diverse Paint Should Offer Merit Pay
Merit pay have the most impact greatest and positive impact on the behaviour of
the employees. Merit pay is a sort of incentive pay system which targets the
behaviour and creativity of an individual. It encourages the employee to strive to
maintain the good behaviour as well also enhance the lagging or down productivity
on any of the employee s task. This sort of pay is targeting the sustainability of the
employee s positive behaviour on the long run. Thus, in my opinion Diverse Paint
should offer merit pay, no matter how small it is. This will also take care of any
employee turnover in this volatile economic scenario. If the employee notices that the
company is rewarding them, in spite of going through a tough financial phase or
when the markets

In Quest of Self in Heart of Darkness
In Conrad s Heart of Darkness Marlow comes to the Congo for experience and self
in the ancient belief that a man is shaped by what he does, that character is formed
by what happens to one. But surrounding all of man s efforts in the Congo is a
presence: Kurtz listened to it and went mad, and Marlow recognizes it but refuses to
listen, neutralizes the appeal of the unknown and survives Kurtz, who succumbed to
the fascinating wilderness.
In 1899, eleven years earlier than The Secret Sharer, Conrad published Heart of
Darkness, the tale that delineates the archetypal pattern he continued to refine
through his career (Andreach,1970:44). In this obscure story, he wants to ... Show

The heart of darkness evoked by Conrad is hard to understand, since the story has
different levels: instead of concentrating on the account of the events, the reader
has to observe the effects which the re creation of the narrative produces on the
narrator, Marlow, since recent criticism has insisted on the story s being about
Marlow, rather than Kurtz, regarding it as a journey into Marlow s consciousness.
(Kirschner, 1968:47) Thus, although Marlow does not want to bother his audience
with what happened to him personally, yet to understand the effect of it on me you
ought to know how I got out there, what I saw, how I went up that river to the place
where I first met the poor chap. (p.5) For this reason, the main purpose of this paper
is to look for the clues which can illustrate those changes produced on Marlow by the
events which take place while penetrating into the heart of darkness.
Marlow s story which starts after a kind of frame narrator, employing the first
person plural, has already introduced us into the narrative tells us how he had a
passion for maps since he was a little boy:
I would look for hours at South America, or Africa, or Australia, and lose myself in
all the glories of exploration. At that time there were many blank spaces on the
earth...by this time it was not a blank space any more...It had ceased to be a blank

Prevention Of Mother Transmission Of Hiv
Background: The 2013 WHO guidelines incorporated simplified and more effective
antiretroviral regimens for the purposes of preventing mother to child transmission
of HIV. With ideal implementation of these recommendations, perinatal HIV
transmission could be reduced to less than 2%. However, loss to follow up (LTFU)
has the potential to erode the success of programs and a number of studies report
high rates of LTFU within the prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT)
care cascade. We evaluated the timing and magnitude of LTFU in a large
programmatic PMTCT cohort in Nigeria in order to focus future efforts to reduce
loss in this high burden setting.
Methods: From 2004 2014, the APIN/Harvard PEPFAR program supported antenatal
HIV screening for nearly one million pregnant women and provided PMTCT care to
over 30,000 women. The care cascade for women enrolling in the PMTCT program
includes antenatal, delivery, and infant follow up services through 12 18 months of
life. In this retrospective cohort analysis, we examined data collected between 2004
2014 from 31 clinical sites in Nigeria and assessed the numbers of mothers and
infants enrolled and LTFU at various points along the care cascade.
Results: Among 31,504 women (median age 30, IQR: 27 34) entering PMTCT care
during the antenatal period, 20,679 (66%) completed the entire cascade of services
including antenatal, delivery, and at least one infant follow up visit. The median

On most Linux distributions the package management system can download and
install MySQL with minimal effort, though further configuration is often required to
adjust security and optimization settings.
Though MySQL began as a low end alternative to more powerful proprietary
databases, it has gradually evolved to support higher scale needs as well. It is still
most commonly used in small to medium scale single server deployments, either as
a component in a LAMP based web application or as a standalone database server.
Much of MySQL s appeal originates in its relative simplicity and ease of use, which
is enabled by an ecosystem of open source tools such as php MyAdmin. In the
medium range, MySQL can be scaled by deploying it on more powerful hardware,
such as a multi processor server with gigabytes of memory.
The master server synchronizes continually with its slaves so in the event of failure a
slave can be promoted to become the new master, minimizing downtime. Further
improvements in performance can be achieved by caching the results from

The economic landscape of any country is intricate, involving various factors such as fiscal policies, monetary measures, trade dynamics, and socio-economic conditions. In the case of Pakistan, the complexity is heightened by the country's unique historical, political, and geographical context. To begin with, extensive research is required to grasp the intricate details of Pakistan's economic history, its growth patterns, and the challenges it has faced. Analyzing the economic policies implemented by the government over the years is crucial to understanding the nation's economic trajectory. Additionally, one must delve into the impact of global economic trends on Pakistan, considering its position in the international market. The essay should not only present a comprehensive overview but also critically evaluate the success or failure of different economic policies. This requires a deep understanding of economic theories and models, as well as the ability to apply them to real-world scenarios. Balancing statistical data with insightful analysis is essential to provide a nuanced perspective on the economic situation in Pakistan. Moreover, discussing the socio-economic factors influencing the economy adds another layer of complexity. • 2. America Is Responsible For Transcending The Way Government... The United States of America is responsible for transcending the way government functions. The idea that people have certain inalienable rights that are God given was revolutionary thinking for the era of the founding fathers. There have been many instances throughout American history where we have failed to live up to the founding principles from the Declaration of Independence, of: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all our citizens but we have also had many moments of inspiration in being trailblazers for freedom when we have lived up to those principles. The founding fathers themselves were flawed as all people are, but it is their system of checks and balances that has been instrumental in deterring any of the three branches government from growing too powerful. They understood that men /women with an unchecked amount of power is dangerous to humanity. Also, they realized that they themselves could not adequately anticipate all events or obstacles in the nations future, and thus, they must have a clause deemed legally capable for change to antiquated portions of the constitution in the form of amendments. There have been over 10,000 proposed amendments to the constitution but only 27 ratified. This leads me to wonder What are some proposed amendments that I might support? and, What are some amendments that I would propose? The Equal Rights Amendment is at the top of my list for proposed amendments that I support. Unfortunately, this amendment
  • 3. Evidence Based Intervention Case Study Evidence Based Interventions According to Hah et al. (2017), several studies have shown that nerve blockade of the central nervous system (neuraxial anesthesia) or peripheral nerves (regional anesthesia) reduce the need for opioids in the immediate postoperative phase. There are two mechanisms through which nerve blockade reduces persistent opioid use. First, nerve blockade works by impeding the transmission of pain during the perioperative phase and thereby stopping central sensitization and chronic neuropathic pain. Second, nerve blocks are effective in treating postoperative pain and are good predictor of persistent opioid use. Similarly, studies found that intravenous local anesthetic such as lidocaine reduces perioperative opioid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Each guideline includes, a recommendation for initial agent, dose, duration, frequency, and maximum dose to be dispense. According to the guideline, only 1 short acting opioid can be prescribed at a time, avoidance of opioid prescription before surgery, and reducing concurrent use of sedatives or hypnotics. Patient must also be present during initial opioid prescription. If patient has not been seen within the past 30 days, no refill or prescription is allowed. Soffin et al (2017) equally found clinical assessment as the key enabler of safe opioid prescribing. Patients must be frequently evaluated to determine the effectiveness of the medication and dose adjustment. Evidence from Soelberg et al. (2017) study also suggest that writing prescription for shorter duration and dispensing less medication have the potential to reduce the risk of long term opioid use. Risk assessment is crucial, and intervention must be rendered promptly if misuse is suspected. Patients must be assessed for opioid tolerance preoperatively. Early diagnosis of opioid tolerance mitigates the risk of acute withdrawal, gives opportunity to optimize preoperative status, and allows surgeons to design care plan tailored specifically to the individual need (Soffin, et al., 2017). Early identification of surgical patients with chronic pain who are
  • 4. The Niagara Escarpment Ava Is An Ideal Area For Grape Growing Introduction The Niagara Escarpment AVA is a relatively new viticulture designated area. The area received the designation in 2005 and is now one of the fastest growing wine regions in New York State. This AVA is comprised of a portion of the Niagara Escarpment landform that runs from New York State through Canada into Wisconsin. (Fig. A) The escarpment has formed over time due to erosion of the rock layers. The top rock layer, dolomitic limestone, is more weather resistant causing it to erode slower and creating the escarpment landform. Fig. A The escarpment is an ideal area for grape growing, as well as other fruits, due to the microclimate created by the combination of the escarpment and Lake Ontario. Those growing areas that are near the lake experience weather that is slightly moderated by the presence of the lake waters. Those that are contained on the escarpment receive a moderated weather pattern due to the escarpments form. The warm air trapped by the escarpment helps to provide those vineyards with a longer growing season and protection from harsh winter freezing and spring or fall frost. The Niagara Wine Trail is currently in a period of growth. In the last few months several new wineries have been added to the trail and the trail has begun its expansion towards Rochester. Along with this growth the trail has continued to increase its number of visitors. Along with local customers the trail also sees many visitors from Canada, Rochester, Finger Lakes area,

The short film takes a closer look at the 500 year old traditional hand fishing method used by the locals. HAND.LINE.COD. appeals to many rhetorical techniques including pathos, ethos, and logos with the film taking place in ruggedly beautiful Newfoundland, the local fishers go on about their daily lives using their intricate ways of catching one fishat a time using only their hands and a line. This film is highly effective in its use of pathos to create an emotional connection with the audience while using ethos and logos to reinforce and build the credibility of the film. The film speaks about how the local livelihoods are connected with the sea and how they have made a revolutionary return to traditional hand line fishing to drive up the fish market price with the 20 year moratorium that had been placed on cod due to overfishing with industrial fishing practices for the previous 50 years. Based on research by people such as Leonard Milich, he too writes about the collapse of the Northwest Atlantic cod fishery as shown in the film (Milich 2010). This research also talks about the strategies that were put in place for the management of fisheries for the locals who depend on the healthy stocks as well as the market values of the fish (Milich

  • 9. Essay about Leonardo Da Vinci Leonardo Da Vinci Leonardo DA Vinci (1452 1519), Florentine artist, one of the great masters of high Renaissance, celebrated as a painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, and scientist. His profound love of knowledge and research was the keynote of both his scientific and artistic endeavors. His innovations in the field of painting influenced the course of Italian art for more than a century after his death, and his scientific studies, particularly in the fields of anatomy, optics, and hydraulics. He anticipated many of the developments of modern science. Leonardo was born in the small town of Vinci, in Tuscany, near Florence . He was the son of a wealthy Florentine notary and a peasant woman. Modern interpreters have excentially analyzed the truly classical qualities of this style which combine, like Greek art of the fifth and fourth centuries BC, a spiritual and formal dignity, harmony and equipoise never before or after equaled in the history of post classical art. It is easier to describe this phenomenon than to explained it. But while older writers regarded it mainly and too simply as a revival of the pagan art of antiquity, more recent studies have begun to throw light on the complexities of the style by investigating the intentions of its creators. In this essay I am going to focus on some aspects of LeonardoВґs life in order to analyze the things that took him to invent and become one of the most famous artist in history. This was the period in history known as the Renaissance, when after hundreds of superstitions and slavery; finally appear the renovations of the study of the sciences. • 11. Difference Between Behavior And Histology Of Pbs Or Lps... 4.Discussion 4.1Review of results Contrary to what we expected, there was no significant difference between behaviour and histology of PBS or LPS treated mice. Some results, however, such as the number of microglial clusters, may benefit from an increase in the n number, since the lack of significance was caused, partially, due to high variability inside the groups. We are currently evaluating the immunohistochemistry of 4 mice, although the initial idea of a profound effect of intranasal LPS over behaviour and histology seem improbable. This can have several factors which are going to be explored individually. 4.2Post infection Time Window Intranasal infection with laboratory isolate of Chlamydia pneumonia was shown to induce immune reaction in the olfactory bulb and brain at 1 month post infection (pi), which gradually declined, but was still detectable, at 3 and 4 months (Little et al., 2014). On our experiment, tissue collection was done roughly 2 weeks after the LPS injections, therefore, there may have not been enough time for development of immune response, such as microgliosis. Nevertheless, in vitro studies, which exposed neuronal cells to Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, as well as LPS, detected increased ОІ amyloid and hyperphosphorylated tau as early as 2 weeks after exposure (Miklossy et al., 2006). In contrast, the in vivo study with Chlamydia pneumonia failed to find tau pathology and suggested that long term exposure to pathogen ( 1 year) may yield better

  • 14. The Elements Of Critical Thinking As A Critical Thinker Critical thinking is that mode of thinking about any subject, content, or problem in which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully taking charge of the structures inherent in thinking and imposing intellectual standards upon them. (Paul and Elder, 2014). Like going to the gym, deciding to go back to school to improve your way of life, or saving for a long awaited vacation, critical thinking similarly requires a self controlled, well organized, and strategic order of procedures in an effort to reach your intended goal successfully. Additionally, along this path of success, a thinker may find themselves in a self correcting stage, as one may attempt to allow their biases, partiality, or ill informed thoughts to take control. However, a well refined critical thinker can ascertain this success by actively and expertly enhancing their quality of thought. This attribute is achieved by implementing specific concepts; such as theory development, exploration, construction, and/or the investigation of material assembled. According to Paul and Elder, Excellence in thought must be systematically cultivated . Therefore, a critical thinker, must purposely put in the work to accomplish success. Richard Paul and Linda Elder created a critical thinking framework that consists of three major components: 1. The elements of thought; which is your basis for reasoning, 2. the intellectual standards; which are applied to the elements of reasoning, and 3. intellectual traits; which are produced from the application of discipline. The Elements of Thought According to Paul and Elder (1997), there are two essential dimensions of thinking that students need to master in order to learn how to upgrade their thinking. They need to be able to identify the parts of their thinking, and they need to be able to assess their use of these parts of thinking. The elements of thought consist of 8 key mechanisms; which helps the thinker to implement reasoning on different aspects on each thought level. 1.Purpose: All reasoning has a purpose; therefore, it is the thinker s responsibility to understand the purpose, goals and objectives of any given concept to satisfy a specific wish and justify some need. 2.

It is hoped that the results of the study when disseminated through publication, will inform prospective female head teachers in basic schools about the challenges that they should anticipate and the various strategies they can employ to surmount the situation. It is hoped that this will encourage female head teachers who have similar challenges to develop similar strategies to help them. It will also serve an additional
  • 16. The Word Perseverance Is Necessary For The Lack Of... Everyday, people struggle to get through simple tasks due to the lack of perseverance. Merriam Webster s dictionary definition for the word perseverance is a continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition. In terms of usage, perseverance is used as a noun that comes from Latin origin with per meaning through, and severus meaning sever. Synonyms of the word consist of persist or to carry on, while antonyms are to give up or to quit. Perseverance is an important trait due to the fact that without it, nothing will get achieved. As soon as you run into trouble you will show weakness and just give up. Temple Grandin, a woman with autism never gave up. She had to process the world in a different way... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A second example from Temple Grandin would be when she could not figure out how to build a model of a distorted house. Temple tried many different designs and failed many different times. But that is how she got her results. Trial and error states that you need to fail before you can succeed. That is how her life was and how ours should be. Temple came across hurdles but she leaped over the top of them all because eventually with enough time and effort, she succeeded. She thrived in the face of adversity by continuing to try them over and over again. At this rate nothing could stop her. She used the haters and motivation and fuel to keep the fire inside her heart burning. They all doubted her and said she would never accomplish anything, she ended up proving them all wrong. Now just as Temple Grandin was an inspiration to us all, so is another woman named Melba Pattillo Beals. Melba was one of the first nine african american students to integrate an all white school. So as you can imagine, the citizens and parents of the Little Rock High School were not happy about the integration. A quote on page 167 from the book, Warriors Don t Cry says, The boys were brash and bold, behaving as if they feared no consequences. This quote shows how terribly treated Melba was. She was cussed at, physically abused, burned, spit on, and just broken down to the bone. But she didn t let it get to her. It shows the author s purpose because Melba would not show weakness.

Abstract: Nuclear fusion may be an effective solution to the energy problem in today?s world. Fusion is environmentally friendly and has the potential to generate massive amounts of power. It is evident that the Sun?s power is fueled by nuclear fusion. Recent advancements such as ITER and NIF may bring us closer to being able to use fusion. We find that nuclear fusion is a long term solution to a continuing problem. Introduction: Since the Industrial Age, energy from fossil fuels has become widespread. In recent times, the depletion of fossil fuels is forcing humanity to search for other alternatives, such as nuclear fusion. Fusion has been an attractive method of energy for a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scientists aim to gain knowledge and improve the power output, the time duration, and the energy cost. Nuclear fusion is a process that occurs when two hydrogen isotopes (tritium and deuterium) fuse together. This reaction produces a neutron and also a large amount of energy. However, a massive amount of heat is necessary for the reaction to initiate because the nuclei (which have very strong opposing charges) must fuse together. The temperature necessary for this to occur is over one hundred million degrees Kelvin. When the reaction occurs, the energy is so great that it is very difficult to contain. So far the known methods of containment are magnetic confinement and inertial confinement. The magnetic confinement uses a very powerful magnetic field, and the inertial confinement uses the inertia of the reaction. (Figure 1, wikipedia, ?nuclear fusion?) We will investigate published literature that either supports or reflects if fusion is feasible. We believe fusion would be a feasible source of power if it could produce reasonably more energy that is put in. Results and Discussion There are several methods to create nuclear fusion for power. The most successful is the star, which uses gravity and pressure to fuse hydrogen and create helium. Unfortunately we cannot harness a sun and harvest it on earth for raw fusion energy. However, we can create small reactions similar to that of the sun in the lab and turn the radiant energy

Historians throughout the years have postulated that this is the cause for the Spanish American War; however this is deceitful. Art isn t a concrete concept and varies among person to person regarding the ways they see art, and how it is portrayed. Therefore, there is still a lot more to be learned about art and it s meanings. Art in the form of literature, like Candide by Voltaire, written in the 17th and 18th century still holds implications and universal themes that can be seen in life in the 21st century. In relation to Candide itself, there are occurrences of the themes of negative impacts of greed, views on man made philosophy, and the harms of oppression. All of these topics are prevalent in current society even though they may not be seen in the exact forms seen in the 18th century. Despite it being written to comment on the society of the Enlightenment era, it also transcends through multiple eras, as each student or person who reads it can take away a new interpretation of it. With the background of the culture and society one grows up in, different responses can add new emotion and meaning than originally intended and therefore develops a story beyond it s literal meaning. Same can be said for other artworks of the past.

He also uses the pair of quavers starting or ending a phrase motif from So What throughout this solo for example bar 7 of A1 chorus 1. From the start of this solo Davis makes use of the upper extensions starting on the 9th (E) of the D minor chord. He tends to start the majority of phrases on the 4th of the chord being played at the time and also emphasises the 6th at the end of some phrases (bar 7, A1 in chorus 1) using the F# over an A minor chord. One of the standout melodic phrases is the partly chromatic semiquaver/triplet run in bar 7, A1 in the second chorus followed by the repeated triplet pattern in the following bar. This phrase contrasts with the rest of the solo and adds variation and excitement whilst moving the solo forwards. Davis uses triplet scalic/chromatic runs in order to emphasise notes at the start of phrases for example, bar 8 of A1 in section 1 where the runs leads to the G which emphasises the use of the 11th over the D minor chord. Miles Davis also uses ghost notes in this solo (bar 6 of A2 chorus) in order to vary the dynamic levels

It s a visual tour de force, a treat for the eyes. It s also similar, in many respects, to the work of Vincente Minnelli. Minnelli, especially with his musicals, carefully designed every little detail. For him, the mise en scene was paramount, so much so that character development would be expressed through the scenery. For example, Gene Kelly literally brings color wherever he goes in American in Paris. In Minnelli s world, the worst thing a character can do is bring ugliness. Beauty was key. But that s not to say that Minnelli s films were light and fluffy. Even his airier films, like The Pirate, had tonal complexity. Demy s musical world is also highly stylized and designed. Everything looks extremely artificial and character joy matches their outfits. But it s not completely the same to Minnelli s world. For one, this musical is very happy. Cares and worries are taken away through musical numbers. Characters have a formal idea of the perfect man or woman. But Demy still manages to achieve tonal complexity, just in a slightly weirder way. Compare Rochefort to American in Paris. Both films are stunningly beautiful. It is a small educational program that students can attend after school in place of the after school child care. It provides a fun educational environment for students who are in need of additional tutoring in certain subjects, or who wish to expand their knowledge beyond the school day. As of right now, it is fairly small, but we would like room for additional growth as the program gains popularity. The basic requirements are two main instructor computers, 10 student laptops, and one wireless printer. Internet access will be needed for each of these computers as well. An additional building will later be provided at an alternate location that will need to be connected to this main network. A Juniper Router will be needed, since the operating system the computers will be running will be JUNOS. We will configure the network to be run on the IPv6 addressing system, to prevent the need of reconfiguration when the mass crossover to IPv6 occurs. The network needs to be configured to add any additional devices that will be needed in the future as the program grows. Configuring IPv6 on a Juniper router A router on the network will provide the ability to connect multiple local area networks (LAN) together in order for them to communicate. In this case, we will be using a Juniper router to accommodate the JUNOS operation system.

After constant testing and trials, America fell short again when the Soviet Union sent Yuri Gagarin to orbit the earth, making him the first human in space. America responded to this with the Apollo missions, with the goal being to land man on the moon. However, with ten thousand dollars being the cost of putting a pound of payload into near Earth orbit, it is safe to say that the cost of landing on the moon and returning would be upwards of a billion dollars (Kaku). • 32. Why Building A Building Envelope Design Is Important At... As time moves forward, the design for better and more sophisticated envelope buildings will continue to be important at all the levels of construction. Basically a building envelope is the separation between the interior and the exterior environment with the inclusion of air, light, heat, water and noise transfer resistances. The building envelopeacts as a thermal barrier, because it regulates the temperature of the inside, while the outside temperature can be different. Having a great envelope design can provide more effective results on any type of climate. This is one of the reasons on why building managers are focusing more in having a great envelope design, especially now that every company wants to reduce energy costs and be more energy friendly. Basic Components The basic components of an envelope are floors, roofs, fenestrations (windows, skylights, clerestories, etc), doors, walls and more. The biggest function of a successful envelope design is to see how the heat is been transferred between the outside and the inside. Minimizing heat transferring can be very important because it can help reduce the amount of need of the space cooling and heating. That is why understanding how heat is been transferred and the types of insulations that can be used in walls can decrease energy costs at a larger scale. Engineers and architects have created new ways to improve the way a building is designed to have great heat efficiency and maximize the light from the sun. As a

Generations ago women did not have the privilege to become what they truly desired compared to the women of today. Although women can become anything they desire, they cannot succeed financially. Women are still underpaid in many areas, especially in Pro Sports. The disparity in pay for women compared men s pro sports is absurd. Female athletes have also seen greater success in sports as well and have been belittled and condemned of the rewards they rightfully deserve for the achievements in their sports. Pansexual, Transsexual And Homosexuals In today s present day, knowing what sexual orientations there are is important, especially when trying to understand an individual and their life style. There are many different types including being heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, transsexual and transgender. When understanding these individuals, it can also help understand how and why society should treat them properly. Many individuals both heterosexuals and those in the LGBTdeserve to be treated fairly, especially when it is about their sexuality. Many of these individuals took their own lives because of the treatment they receive. Being a heterosexual means that an individual that is attracted to the opposite sex. In today s society, the nontechnical term to being a heterosexual is called being straight. According to Statista.com, 98.8% of American men and 97.7% of American women in 2013 consider themselves straight. This shows that, in America, there are more men than women who consider themselves straight . Homosexuals are men and women who are attracted to the same sex. Homosexual men are called gay and homosexual women are called lesbians. In America, according to Statista.com, 1.5% of women and 1.8% of men consider themselves lesbian or gay. Knowing this it proves also that there were more homosexual men than women in 2013. Many of these men and women were oppressed or treated unfairly because of their sexuality. • 39. What Is Graph Theoretical Analysis 1.3.4. Introduction to graph theoretical analysis. The case of brain perfusion SPECT. In the field of quantitative neuroimaging, graph theoretical analysis is one of the methods to study brain connectivity [93 95, 100, 101]. A key concept of this method is the notion of topology. This concept can be illustrated with a simple idea which is used when we travel in the subway of any large city. In figure 3 two maps of the London subway appear, the first map shows a precise spatial description of the railways (or lines) through which trains travel (i.e., the subway topography), whereas the second one is only concerned with the relative locations of subway stations and connecting lines (i.e., the subway topology). These two maps do not coincide with regards to the relative position of the stations, neither in the distances nor in the location of the lines. However, the topological map simplifies the problem for the traveler. For example, two stations may be physically (topographically) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By simply inspecting the topological maps, it is not easy to know if one subway is better organized than the other (e.g., subway efficiency). One way to simplify this problem is to use metrics that quantify or analyze the subway network using graph theory [94, 101]. Hence the name of graph theoretical analysis. A first aspect to measure could be how easy it is to travel between any two stations (e.g. the number of stations on average, between the start and end of the trip). This aspect is relevant, especially if the traveler wants to visit different parts of the city on the same day. This example illustrates the concept of global efficiency of a graph [94, 101]. The metric of global efficiency is a way to quantify the global connectivity (integration) of the network. In this example, it is assumed that the number of stations (nodes) and lines (connectors) are the same in the two subways that are

The lower extremities particularly the knees and ankles are most frequently affected, but the other areas of the body are also punished by this widely played sport and are not immune to injury. Most of these injuries are superficial, and play can be resumed after a short layoff. Now and then, a player may suffer a more than serious injury, which requires appropriate first aidand further expert treatment. 1.Skin Injuries As an external protective covering of the human body, the skin is particularly vulnerable to sports injuries. Abrasions, skin detachment or lacerations are not uncommon on the soccer field. These skin injuries can be very painful but are usually harmless and heal quickly with no external intervention. Larger wounds must first be cleaned, then disinfected and eventually wrapped with a sterile dressing. Always bear in mind that a skin injury enables germs to enter the body; therefore a wound always presents the danger of infection. a.Abrasions First Aid To reduce the risk of infection, the surface of the wound should be cleaned with a Ringer s or saline solution. Then disinfect the wound with a gentle skin disinfectant and cover it with a sterile, non adhesive wound dressing. Play can usually then be resumed immediately Therapy Later in the healing process, an infection must be prevented. If necessary, the bandage should be changed daily and the wound cleaned with an

I think it was always a shame that Van Gogh was never appreciated in life as he was in death, and his work was never appreciated either. It was said that his mother never truly appreciated him even when he was deemed a genius, she had her own demons though and it was impossible for him to live up to the assumed greatness of his stillborn brother, for which he was named. The continuity of the actual message of the story of the life of Jesus seems, it would be generally agreed, to hinge on the Gospel of Mark being a source for the other Synoptic gospels at least. Much argument has also gone on about the place and time of writing of Mark and how this influences the traditioning or the handing on of the story. How the original written version came to be from the oral process is also a cause for the concern as regards continuity of the story. Was it faithfully translated? Nineham states that Jesus very character was determined by the particular circumstances in which the tradition was handed down. Those who kept it shaped the tradition itself. They had their own motives and beliefs and these have influenced the tradition that has brought out the character of Jesus as we know today (Nineham 1986: 21). This traditioning was a process that began by orally recounting the story at private or public gatherings. The public gatherings being more favoured because preachers or teachers, that is those entrusted with the traditioning process, would have told the story at worship or catechumen gatherings (Nineham 1986: 22). As is sometimes the practice with preaching today so it may have been in the first century. Anyone telling the story would be driven by a particular need of the time, for example if a message on good neighbours was needed then the

MAC s start out over $1000 and are not customizable for someone who is looking for basic features in a personal computer. While MAC s are also more technological and can perform many functions you have the ability to get the same features at around the same cost in a Windows PC because of its adaptability. MAC s are very pricey because of their processors and the ability for them to run many more programs at once but these features are standard and cannot be removed to lower the price. Windows PC s have the ability for these features to be added, and you can choose which are more important to you. For example, you can upgrade to an Intel i7 processor which will meet the speed of a MAC but go with less storage space which may not be needed because you prefer to play games on your computer. It is unfortunate that Apple has not noticed this and mad adding features to a MAC an option thus making them more expensive. Price will not be an issue when buying a Windows PC because you choose what you want for what price you can afford. As you can see,

In Chad there is no food security, because not everyone has enough food to eat. In fact, according to World Food Program 25 34.9% of Chad is undernourished. Chad is Africa s 5th largest nation, known for its sacred Chad Lake. It has seven neighbouring countries whom are Sudan, Niger, Libya, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Nigeria and Darfur. Altogether they are all resided in North East Africa. Currently, Chad has 14 million populations and 14.28 deaths occur in every 1000 people. Sadly, Chad has the 6th highest death rate in the world. The life expectancy for females is only 52.7 years and the male life expectancy is 50.8 years. In comparison to Germany, Chad s longevity statistics has a tremendous differ in the life expectancy, incomes and health care by at least 48%. The heart of darkness evoked by Conrad is hard to understand, since the story has different levels: instead of concentrating on the account of the events, the reader has to observe the effects which the re creation of the narrative produces on the narrator, Marlow, since recent criticism has insisted on the story s being about Marlow, rather than Kurtz, regarding it as a journey into Marlow s consciousness. (Kirschner, 1968:47) Thus, although Marlow does not want to bother his audience with what happened to him personally, yet to understand the effect of it on me you ought to know how I got out there, what I saw, how I went up that river to the place where I first met the poor chap. Prevention Of Mother Transmission Of Hiv Background: The 2013 WHO guidelines incorporated simplified and more effective antiretroviral regimens for the purposes of preventing mother to child transmission of HIV. With ideal implementation of these recommendations, perinatal HIV transmission could be reduced to less than 2%. However, loss to follow up (LTFU) has the potential to erode the success of programs and a number of studies report high rates of LTFU within the prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT) care cascade. We evaluated the timing and magnitude of LTFU in a large programmatic PMTCT cohort in Nigeria in order to focus future efforts to reduce loss in this high burden setting. Methods: From 2004 2014, the APIN/Harvard PEPFAR program supported antenatal HIV screening for nearly one million pregnant women and provided PMTCT care to over 30,000 women. The care cascade for women enrolling in the PMTCT program includes antenatal, delivery, and infant follow up services through 12 18 months of life. In this retrospective cohort analysis, we examined data collected between 2004 2014 from 31 clinical sites in Nigeria and assessed the numbers of mothers and infants enrolled and LTFU at various points along the care cascade. Results: Among 31,504 women (median age 30, IQR: 27 34) entering PMTCT care during the antenatal period, 20,679 (66%) completed the entire cascade of services including antenatal, delivery, and at least one infant follow up visit. Though MySQL began as a low end alternative to more powerful proprietary databases, it has gradually evolved to support higher scale needs as well. It is still most commonly used in small to medium scale single server deployments, either as a component in a LAMP based web application or as a standalone database server. Much of MySQL s appeal originates in its relative simplicity and ease of use, which is enabled by an ecosystem of open source tools such as php MyAdmin. In the medium range, MySQL can be scaled by deploying it on more powerful hardware, such as a multi processor server with gigabytes of memory. The master server synchronizes continually with its slaves so in the event of failure a slave can be promoted to become the new master, minimizing downtime. Further improvements in performance can be achieved by caching the results from
