Co Education Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of co-education can present both challenges and opportunities for
exploration. On one hand, the concept of co-education, where males and females study together
in the same institution, is a multifaceted subject with historical, cultural, and sociological
dimensions. This complexity can make it challenging to strike a balance between providing a
comprehensive overview and maintaining a focused and coherent argument.
One difficulty lies in addressing the various perspectives on co-education. Different cultures,
societies, and educational systems may have distinct viewpoints, and navigating these
perspectives requires careful research and nuanced analysis. Furthermore, the historical evolution
of co-education and its impact on gender dynamics in educational settings adds another layer of
intricacy to the essay.
Crafting a well-structured and logically flowing essay is another hurdle. Organizing ideas
coherently, ensuring a smooth transition between paragraphs, and maintaining a clear thesis
statement throughout the essay require a meticulous approach. Additionally, striking a balance
between presenting factual information and expressing personal insights or opinions can be
challenging, especially given the potential for diverse viewpoints on the subject.
However, despite these challenges, the essay offers an opportunity to delve into the positive
aspects of co-education, such as fostering a more inclusive and diverse learning environment.
Analyzing the potential benefits and drawbacks of this educational model allows for a
comprehensive exploration of its implications on students, teachers, and society at large.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on co-education may pose challenges due to its
multifaceted nature and diverse perspectives, it also presents an opportunity for in-depth
exploration and critical analysis. With thorough research, thoughtful organization, and a balanced
approach, one can navigate the complexities of the topic and present a compelling essay. For
those seeking assistance with similar essays or other writing tasks, various resources are available,

Comparative Advantage Of Blassa Index
It is important that a country specialize in the commodity in which it poses a
comparatives advantage over others. In order to identify the strong sector in the
economy, the actual trade flows was analyzed. This idea was later improvised and
refined by Bela Balassa and gave his famous Balassa Index.
This index is commonly used in International Economics to calculate the relative
advantage or disadvantage that a country poses in a certain class of goods and
services. The value of the index shows the revealed comparative advantage of a
country in good. The Balassa Index is fundamentally a standardized export share.
Which implies that if the BI if balsa index for country A for industry j, then the index
would be given as;
The RCA is equal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through the Balassa index it was found that the value of RCA for Indian
pharmaceutical export is 2.61 which is more than 1 that signifies that India has a
comparative advantage over ASEAN which has its RCA value less than one.
Hence the Balassa index showed that India posses a higher degree of advantage in
export of pharmaceuticals, thus it should specialize in this sector and generate income.
Figure 3
The above figure shows the export trend of pharmaceuticals from Indian market to
the world. The highest export was recorded in financial year 2015 16. Despite of
the fall in subsequent year it still maintained it power in the global market. India
enjoys relative advantage in this sector, which is been calculated by the Balassa
index. The strength of the exports has been compared with overall export of the
ASEAN. As Indian pharmaceutical sector was growing similarly the pharmaceutical
sector of ASEAN was flourishing which was making it an attractive for JAPAN and
United States the sales from this sector was more than 20 billion us dollar by end of

Uk Immigration Problem
Immigration is it a problem in the UK? Yes, it is a very big problem. 46% of
immigrants that move to the UK come here to claim benefits and take advantage of
our free health care system, this is not okay. It is not fair that the taxpayer has to
pay for immigrants to be housed and get free health care because they are too lazy to
get up, go out and find a job. I welcome immigrants with open arms that actually give
something back to Britain by working, but the immigrants that take advantage of
Britain s benefit system should leave. An example of something that I strongly
disagree with are families who enter Britain with nothing and work for just minimum
wage, for example the male could do any minimum wage job and then him, his wife
and children... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Research shows that 52% of crimes that have been committed in the UK are
caused by immigrants why should they cause harm and offence in a country that
has provided for them? I believe that if an immigrant commits any sort of crime in
the UK then they should be automatically deported back to their own country with
no second chance. Another point I d like to raise is that if I wanted to emigrate to
a country such as Australia or New Zealand then I would have to prove to their
government that I had skills and money to bring into their country before I would
be considered eligible to live there on a permanent basis. This is something I totally
agree with and feel is a fair system the UK government should take a leaf out of their
book! Another issue I would like to make is that I find it very disrespectful for
immigrants to speak to one another in their native tongue when out in public, it
makes me feel very uncomfortable and anxious that they may be talking about me. I
would not emigrate to another country without learning their language fluently so
that I could communicate easily with everyone and show respect for their language
and the gratefulness I feel for them accepting me into their
Legal Issues Of The Lawsuit Filed By The Creditors
In the lawsuit filed by the creditors in order to recover their money, there are a few
legal issues. They major question here is whose assets can the creditors go after
Double J Branding, Jana, or Jamal? More in depth questions that need to be
answered for this lawsuit are was the limited partnership valid and was Jamal
considered the limited partner at the time of the transaction? Also did the loan
officer and real estate agent believe in good faith that Jamal was a general partner at
the time of the transaction? Many rules are included and must be followed in order
for a limited partnershipto be valid and to work properly. A limited partnership is a
type of partnership that has two types of partners a general partner and a limited
partner. The general partner of a limited partnership invests capital and manages the
business. The general partner has unlimited liability which means they are personally
liable for the debts and obligations of the limited partnership. The limited partner in a
limited partnership invests capital but does not participate in management. The
limited partner has limited liability, which means they are only liable for the debts
and obligations of the limited partnership up to their capital contributions but they are
not personally liable.
The partners of a limited partnership must complete and sign a certificate of limited
partnership, thus making the partnership legal and binding. An incorrect creation of a
limited partnership is called a

Bill Naughton s Play Spring and Port Wine
How does the playwright, Bill Naughton, prepare the audience for the first
appearance for Rafe on the stage? What are the audience expected to think about
him? 07817966841 224 1970
In this coursework I will be focusing on a play called Spring and
Port Wine . It was first performed in 1965 and is set about forty years ago. I am
going to comment on how social and historical things have changed since then and
how we as an audience are expected to think of the character called Rafe before his
first entry in the play.
At the start of the play in the stage directions we get a lot of information about what
Rafe is like. We find out that he looks after his family by giving them a... Show more

You know how he likes everything to be just so . This tells us
Rafe likes everything to be faultless. We are also shown that the family is to some
extent frightened of Rafe when Florence says God help you if he ever finds out , and
I wouldn t want to tell a barefaced lie to Rafe . This shows they are afraid of how
Rafe might react if he finds out they have changed some figures in the
housekeeping. As the play goes on we discover that Rafe is fussy about keeping the
house clean when Daisy says Rafe always likes to come home to everything spick
and span of a Friday . This tells us that he expects the house to be spotless before he
comes back home from work. We also learn that Rafe likes routine as Daisy says Rafe
s got this obsession about keeping accounts straight , and Rafe always liked fish on
Friday . All this shows that Rafe is scrupulous about the house and money. Betsy
Jane, a slovenly nosey neighbour is a useful character of telling us what the
neighbours think of Rafe. We see that she is in total contrast with the Crompton
family because Rafe and his family are very cautious about money but Betsy Jane is
careless with money.
Betsy Jane does not think very highly of Rafe, she thinks that he has no right to get
in the way of how Daisy controls the housekeeping money. We notice this when she
says what right has he to interfere with your
KPMG Business Analysis
Many individuals seek to have a career objective where they are able to maintain a

skills and attributes to the company assisting them to lead forward towards success.

Persuasive Essay On Multitasking
Multitasking entails having different work activities and shifting attention from one
task to another all at one time. Being able to meet the standards of several different
situations without dropping the ball. The danger in multitasking is that effectiveness
can be dangerous if someone tries to carry out too many tasks at the same time and
has to much on there hands. In todays world it isn t just the parents that have the
problem of multi tasking it s also their children too, having a time management
matrix is a pretty good idea on how you spend your time, during all times of the day.
For me, multitaskingwould effect my friend and I when we go duckhunting.
Sometimes modern technology does cause a distraction, and could be costly for my
buddy and I missing ducks. Text messages, phone calls, and in person contact with
constituents. It s become the normal to check my phone and email while i m
enjoying my free time on other tasks.
On the average, 13 to 18 year olds use simultaneously six media sites outside of
school, the article doesn t give any examples of the cites these children use, these age
groups multitask more often and more extensively than previous generations than
ever before. The result of the tendency of kids having to pay continuous partial
attention to everything around them. They lose focus easily and the quality isn t as
good, they suffer lower grades, by paying attention to a variety of things and things

What Effect Do Polar Bears Have On The Environment
In recent decades, the global warming threat has captured the attention of the nation
and the world. While the main focus began with concentrating on the effects this long
term natural crisis would have on the human population, select groups have worked to
approach the topic in a manner that entails prevention in order to help other animal
and plant species around the globe. One such organization is the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration, which has played a major role in the conservation
of the polar bearspecies, one of the mammals most adversely affected by the recent
climate changes. As more research has been conducted regarding the polar bears,
scientific name Ursus Maritimus, the conclusions have been shocking. In... Show

Part of the original decision to list the species as threatened came from the fact that
the critical habitat of these animals had been greatly reduced due to natural and
human activities. Critical habitat is defined as the area that contains habitat features
essential for the conservation of a threatened or endangered species and which may
require special management considerations ( Critical Habitat ). From this definition
coupled with the results of numerous studies, it was found that polar bears have
suffered from extreme declines in ice habitats where they carry out the majority of
their lives. One study found that ice thickness has decreased by 40% during the past
30 years and the average annual extent of ice coverage in the polar region has
diminished substantially, with an average annual reduction of over 1 million square
kilometers (Schliebe) meaning in a comparatively short period of time the species has
been subjected to substantial decreases in their environments. This habitat destruction
is the major concern for the polar bear species as human activity is immensely
increasing the rate at which their environments are destroyed. Not only does recent
research reveal massive decreases in the area of habitats which this species occupies,
but it also provides evidence that the lifestyles of these animals are being altered.
With changing season lengths and temperatures, polar bears
Two-Variable Inequality Problem
Variable Inequality This two variable inequality problem uses the following basic
information. Ozark Furniture Company uses 15 board feet of maple to make a
classic maple rocker and 12 board feet of maple to make a modern maple rocker.
Using y for classic rockers and x for modern rockers, the following inequality
expresses the number of rockers of each type that could be made with 3,000 feet of
maple or less: y 4/5x +200. 15y + 12x 3000 5y + 4x 1000 5y 1000 4x y 4/5x +200
As the picture above shows, the graph is a straight line, which moves from high on
the left to low towards the right. Its intercepts are (0,200) and (250,0). The slope of
the line is 4/5 The line is solid, not dashed because the figure can include the
numbers on the line. It is shaded to the left and down from the line, to indicate that
any numbers smaller than those on the line would be applicable. The graph only
demonstrates numbers in the first quadrant, where both the x and y coordinates
are positive, because it is not possible to have a negative number of rockers.
Looking at the graph, one is able to get a substantial amount of information about
the number of rockers that Ozark Furniture Company can produce at this time. The
maximum number of rockers that it can produce is 250 rockers, and to do so all of
the rockers it produces must be modern rockers. Moreover, it is limited to producing
certain combinations of rockers. For example, if it produces 100 modern rockers, it
can produce 120
The Theories And Deterrence Of Criminal Punishment
1. Akers and Sellers chapter 7: Compare and contrast the predictions made by labeling
theorists and deterrence theorists with respect to the utility of criminal punishment.
Labeling theorists and deterrence theorists both aim to make conclusions about why
people commit crimes and why people continue to commit crimes over and over
again. Although they have similar end goals, the labeling theory and the deterrence
theory are very different in the approach that they take to get to the end result.
Deterrence theorists try to understand how punishment affects someone s desire or
willingness to commit a crime. There are two different types of deterrence: general
and specific deterrence. General deterrence aims to set a bar for what punishment a
crime can receive. A wider population is intended to be affected by general
deterrence. In contrast, specific deterrence is focused on a singular offender. Specific
deterrence uses the punishment for a crime committed to convince the offender to
not commit the crime again. This can be achieved through the severity of the
punishment for the crime committed. Deterrence theory only attempts to explain the
primary crime and the cause for the primary crime committed. Deterrence theory
would say that an offender committed the crime because the punishment for the crime
wasn t enough to make them not want to commit the crime. In regard to repeat or
chronic offenders, the deterrence theory would say that the punishment that the

Write An Essay About Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol was a famous artist known for creating rather odd popular culture art
that really posed the question at the time about what was the actual definition of
fine art. He was born in the 1920s, and his career spanned the decades of the 1960s
through the 1980s. Warhol started his career in New York as a commercial
illustrator and it seems was quite content with his career in the communications
/marketing industry. He eventually did try to become an artist and reportedly had
trouble breaking into the fine art scene, but he was able to break in with likely the
biggest statement of all and one that was brand new to the art scene of his time. His
message was that all of his art both written and drawn were his way to prove that all...

His mass production reportedly was a metaphor for the mass commercialism of that
time, and his move from art creation to marketing seemed to also mimic the mass
production and new technology explosion that was occurring during his time.
Warhol was a peculiar individual who was quite reserved and quiet due this rather
secluded childhood years, and so it was not easy for the public to delve into his
mindset with regard to what his art represented and what he was trying to accomplish
in his many artistic endeavors according to Empty Easel.com, ...if you could

EVERYTHING he did, was art. References

Charlemagne and the Carolingian Renaissance
The Carolingian Empire was not at full fruition when Charlemagne rose to power,
it was quite the contrary. In the eighth century, the lands covered by what is now
known as France and Belgium, as well as part of Germany made up the Frankish
state ruled by the kings of the Merovingian line. The Merovingian empire was weak
and in a steady decline; the majority of people in Western Europe were illiterate, the
economy was facing quite the major decline and the Merovingian kings became Do
Nothing Kings (Rois fainГ©ants) after the death of Dagobert 639 AD. This is when

Peter the Apostle of Rome. He also created a dialog with the academic world,
making his court a learning hub which could not have been done without the revival
of Latin by the educated elite in such an orally cultured empire. This language
renewal luckily occurred because of mistakes made by the monks of Fulda, so he
forced reform by making the writings of church fathers mandatory readings, as well
as the study of grammar to increase literacy among scribes, and even commoners.
Charlemagne s thirst for knowledge pushed educational boundaries. This is seen in
the learning of language and rhetoric via knowledge before action that was taught
with the help of the Liberal Arts. He organized and centralized cultural activities and
a specific curriculum to be taught at the local schools, with many provided resources
to do so. He firmly believed that the teaching of Liberal Arts to the children (and even
adults) was the duty of a ruler in order to create an educated empire able to flourish
and truly understand the world with spiritual enlightenment. In addition to these
educational reforms, Charlemagne introduced political ones. It is important to note
that Charlemagne ruled a monarchical empire with the help of the aristocracy (which
included relatives and friends) in order to contain power. Therefore, the Frankish
Empire depended on him because he was the Minister Dei (a servant of god) for
institutions, such as

The Reappearance of Allison
Of all the grieving days I have suffered, this is the worst. Even the scorching suns
pleasant rays and the sweet smelling aroma of heather and fresh cut grass failed to
improve my mood that summer afternoon. After passing the signpost for Findhorn,
my eyes focused on the only structure up ahead of me. The Black Swan Inn. The
Inn stood out like a skyscraper in the scenic Moray countryside. With its white,
spotless walls decorated with many brightly coloured hanging baskets and painted
lanterns hanging from its gutters. It was a place of beauty and a place I held dear
to me. The gentle breeze blowing in from the sea front, conspired to dry my tears;
tears for someone I had truly loved. I stopped outside the inn and tried to remember
the memories from the past. My distress was made worse, as I was unable to
remember my own wife s face. How long ago had she died? It must be a few
months now. I slumped down on one of the wooden benches outside the Inn and
asked myself why I was here. Alcohol was definitely not the reason. No, I was here
because of Allison. Couples on the benches around my own failed to notice me as
they romanced , it was like looking in a mirror from the past. I remembered sitting
at this very bench two weeks before , smiling and romancing, our hands locked
with each others. Whenever we came here Allison would pick this bench: it has the
best view of the sea she would say. Allison was overjoyed at my suggestion that we
try for a baby. My proposal for an

newfound maturity has led to her being able to move past differences they had as

At the beginning of the scene there are several rustic buildings, a couple broken
down buildings, and beautiful church steeple in the background. The grass is long
with scattered wildflowers decorating the field. It is a bright sunny day with white
clouds floating in the sky. The peaceful, simple setting allows Anne to freely
express her creative and imaginative ideas. The shore of the pond, where Anne and
friends are reenacting the play, reflects the colors of the surrounding dark green
trees. The rural setting enhances Anne s imaginatively as she basks in the sun and
the breeze reciting the poem. The fallen tree in the pond and the bridge further add
to the rustic setting. The unkempt, bucolic surroundings create a sense of fear in the
viewer as Anne s imagination leads her to problems. Gilbert meets Anne at the old
and partly broken down bridge that crosses over the pond. The bridge is symbolic of
the growth of Anne and Gilbert s friendship. This bridge scene marks the beginning
of Anne and Gilbert putting aside their competitiveness and animosity and beginning
a friendship. Gilbert and Anne then row to shore on the other side of the pond where
Gilbert and Anne decide to be friends. The change in setting marks a change in Anne
attitude as she realizes that her exaggerated feelings about Gilbert kept her from a
warmhearted friendship with him. Throughout

A Brief History of the NNC in the Philippines
Nutrition is not only a science... it is governance, it is politics. It is finance, it is
labor and employment.
Assistant Secretary Maria Bernardita T. Flores, CESO II, Executive Director IV
Nutrition History in the Making
Rising from the ashes after World War II, the Philippines was a picture of great
despair. Cities and towns had been burned down, farms and factories laid to waste,
roads and bridges destroyed, and thousands of people massacred. Those who survived
the war were forced to put up with hunger and severe malnutrition as food was
devastatingly scarce.
In March 1947, under the Manuel Roxas regime, the Philippine Institute of Nutrition
(PIN) was created in an attempt to institutionalize a national nutrition program. This
marked the country s first step at organized efforts for nutrition. However,
coordination proved to be rather limited and rudimentary, and the implementation of
nutrition programs was sporadic at best. Approaches to problems related to nutrition
were short lived and more curative rather than preventive.
PIN was later reorganized under the Carlos P. Garcia administration into the Food and
Nutrition Research Center (NFRC) in 1958, and nutrition related activities
coordinated by this Center were done under the National Science and Development
Board (NSDB). With the aid of innovations in research and technology, nutritional
problems in the country were met with a more multisectoral approach.

Analysis Of The Right To Bear Clubs By Dave Barry
The right to bear clubs is a biting satire by Dave Barry in which he employs satire
and many of its techniques to stealthily poke fun at heated topic of gun ownership
and regulation in the United States. Berry seems to be targeting the governments
poor handling of the gun crisis by using a Ballistic Driver golf club as an allegory
for a firearm while bringing up arguments used for and against firearms. The
audience for this particular work is relatively broad considering most everyone has
an opinion on the topic, yet the reader could interpret the satire to be either for
against Americans right to bear arms. Just reading along the surface, Barry s work
could easily appear to lean towards firearm possession but after reading deeper and
picking up on the more... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He takes the pitch for the Ballistic Driver and lampoons it until it s blown out of
proportion; the exaggeration of how draining and strenuous playing with normal

Ball of Doom into the United Sates, he distorts the view of the clubs to be used
hostilely; pointing to the analogous argument seen on real topics. Barry heavily
employs innuendos of golf clubs to indirectly reference firearms allowing him to
address a very heated debate under the guise of a leisurely sport. He uses diction
such as silencer, Activator Button (trigger), Always assume your club is loaded, and
the right to keep and bear golf clubs (common gun safety phrases). The author
beautifully uses allegory in the last paragraph of the piece to figurately discuss the
debate on banning firearms while literally discussing the banning of swing less golf

Studying Family Systems Theories Over The Past Two
Semesters
While studying family systems theories over the past two semesters, I discovered,
that all methods demonstrate validity and success, some models speak more
thoroughly to my therapeutic style. The methods that I related to the most are
Solution Focused and Strategic Therapy. Both techniques focus on the client s
strengths and not the pathology of the problem. MRI strategic practices and
techniques influenced the creators of Solution Focused Therapy, Steve De Shazer,
and his colleagues. Both approaches have the ability to address familyand individual
problems in a brief time frame.
MRI delivers a comprehensive coverage of theory while SFT delivers a
comprehensive coverage of approach (Zola, 2007). MRI believes that problems
are not individually based, but instead are sustained by feedback loops and failed
attempted solutions that are maintaining the problem (Cade, 1980). An MRI
therapist does not define healthy or normal families; therefore asymptomatic
families are viewed as a family or individual that has functioning feedback loops.
When a problem behavior increases and becomes more disruptive, the family
system applies positive feedback to calm the problem. However, the feedback
provided, or solution , as it called, may be the incorrect solution for the problem. In
turn, the feedback can either exacerbate the problem or create a new more severe
issue (Rohrbaugh Shoham, 2001). SFT views that problems arise from individuals
and families getting trapped in a

that was all about to change. When the Apollo 13 ship s oxygen tank ruptured the

that caused one part of the break. They had to test them after this before they could

The Important Role Of Patriarchy In The Father Of God
Actor and father Billy Dee Williams once said, I think I m a good father. As a
parent, you have the responsibility to create a foundation for your children so that
they can meet all the challenges. As the patriarch of the family God commands them
to care for and nurture a child in the way they should go. Merriam Webster Dictionary
defines the word patriarchas One of the scriptural fathers of the human race or of
the Hebrew people. When a patriarch completes his fatherly role, he ensures that his
children feel loved and well cared for. If a father does not take care of his children,
it can often lead to hardships for the children as they deal with an absent father.
Patriarchy in a familyatmosphere holds significant importance in its everyday role as
it can dictate how it affects the rest of the family.
Men in charge of their home have numerous responsibilities when it comes to
guiding their offspring. Fathers need to encourage their children while still
correcting and refining them. One of the important jobs of the patriarch is to lift
others up. 1 Thessalonians 2:11 12 describes a father as exhorting everyone and
encouraging them in their walk with God (ESV). God s command for patriarchs to
encourage a child in the way they should go in a manner worthy of Him remains one
of the top roles of a father. Another significant role of a father is to discipline like it
describes in Proverbs 3:11 12, My son, do not despise the Lord s discipline or be
weary of his reproof, for
Ancient Egyptian Calendars
Ancient Egyptian Calendars
Time is one of the most important concepts to human beings. Calendars, which are
organized fragments of time separated in to days, months and years allow us to
keep track of our daily activities. Calendars are similar to the basic necessities of
life such as food and water. It is an essential factor that dictates how we live our
everyday lives. Without time being interpreted through the means of calendars we
would believe that time would be infinite thus, rendering our lives meaningless.
Egyptian cultures were one of the most innovative cultures among the ancient
societies. They obtained an extensive amount of knowledge through observations that
encompassed astronomy. With all this acquired knowledge they wear able... Show

This calendar was based off of the pervious lunar calendar systems used to measure
time. The civil calendar was 365 days long, which could better relate to the solar

Analysis Of Of Mice And Men
Critical Analysis on Of Mice and Men In 1992 Gary Sinise directed the tragic film
Of Mice and Men. The story is about George Milton and Lennie Small, two friends
who travel together in search of work. Though Lennie is very calm and harmless
he isn t very smart and is unaware of his strength, which leads him into trouble. A
New York Times article describes him this way; Lennie is a gentle giant of a man
with the mental capacities of an 8 year old. He loves to fondle soft things, like
mice, puppies and rabbits, even a small piece of velvet. Through the eyes of
Lennie and George the audience sees the special relationship that they share.
However there is a larger theme at play in the film. Though George has Lennie by
his side, Lennie s companionship seems to offer George very little relief from his
loneliness. The people they encounter and the irony of the duo s situation portray
the theme of loneliness in the film. The film begins with a scene of George and
Lennie running from a posse of men with dogs and guns. After escaping their
pursuers they are left on a train to nowhere, all alone. This is the first time that
George and Lennie s loneliness is revealed. In a following scene their isolation is
confirmed as they walk down an empty road taking them to another chance at work.
On the way, George notices that Lenny is playing with something. George finds that
Lennie has a dead mouse. Lennie has a habit of getting mice and petting them until
they die. When George takes
Essay On Financial Conglomerates
A conglomerate is a large corporation that comprises a number of diverse, apparently
unrelated businesses. A conglomerate can own a controlling stake in a number of
smaller companies that conduct businesses separately. In a conglomerate, the
subsidiary businesses run independently of the other business divisions, their
managers reporting to the top management of the group company. So, a conglomerate
can be also called a multi industry company. Financial conglomerates are nothing but
financial giants that have a number of small financial companies working under them.
They, basically, are of two types, namely, financial holding and bank

companies.

It may have diverse structural features conditional to various national laws and

a banking or an insurance structure. The character of that company would be

of major business activities carried out by that financial conglomerate. Alternatively,
it may consist of of businesses such that not a single sector dominates the character of
the entity.
For instance, a financial conglomerate that is involved chiefly with banking would
characteristically be one having its parent company as a banking institution under

its dominant subsidiary. Smaller and less important subsidiaries (of either dominant

The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn By William

Current pursuers regularly increase much knowledge from breaking down works of

lessons imparted in these praised works of art, and can be impacted by their

praised writer Ernest Hemingway opined that The Undertakings of Huckleberry Finn,
by Imprint Twain, encapsulates the Incomparable American Novel. Hemingway
expressed All current American writing originates from Huck Finn... there has been
nothing as great since. This is an intense explanation, since it gives Twain, as the
writer, remarkable impact over today s brains. It makes sense that the subjects
communicated by Twain in Huck Finn resound in numerous present day works.
Huck Finn is maybe a standout amongst the most examined works of the last two
hundred years, and a hefty portion of its focal topics have as of now been
distinguished: the everyday ones of abolitionist servitude, loss of honesty, and
transitioning. Be that as it may, there are still some astonishing truths to reveal. Twain
was a conceded Visionary, a defender of elusive belief system that picked up fame in
the nineteenth century. It is likely that Twain was so included in and influenced by
Introspective philosophy that he, if just intuitively, endeavored to spread the theory
to the world. Upon close examination, it turns out to be clear that Twain uses his

Soviet Union and the United States Race into Space
In 1957, the Soviet Union and the United States once rivals in the Cold War began to
race for being the best in spaceflight. The space race was eventually resolved in an
agreement in 1972. Before this agreement, each sent satellites in attempts to try to out
do the other. Satellites eventually turned to manned spacecrafts, which then turned to
men on the moon. Now there is the International Space Station, which is a
permanently crewed and cooperative laboratory in space. All of this started with a
little friendly competition between the USSR and the United States. However,
despite the fun space typically is, the government should not spend any more time up
in space and should spend its time trying to correct the plummeting economy and
other problems here on Earth.
Background
In order to truly understand space exploration, it is crucial to have a strong and
accurate sense of background knowledge of the space race. The foundation of
rocketry was built by Wernher Von Braun
. Von Braun was the inventor of the rocket
and the world s first ballistic missile the V 2 (The Hunt). In 1932, he tested his
rocket in front of the military, only to have it fail (Bellis). Over time he was able
to design and construct rockets that were able to function, like the previously
mentioned V 2 rocket. The V 2 was an extremely deadly rocket; it travelled at 2,386
miles per hour with its load of one ton of high explosive (Trueman). The rockets
were later used in World War Two. About 1000 V2 s

Becoming A Diesel Mechanic Is Not An Easy Task
My mission statement for myself is very simple. I will finish my college degree
and my next associate s degree at Vincennes University. While I am college, I am
going to be working part time. While working, I will be saving money each month
and putting that money into a saving account. When I am a couple months from
graduating, I will begin looking for job near my hometown. I would prefer to work
in a diesel technician shop in Jackson County, Indiana. I then will use my savings to
make a down payment on a house for my wife and I. We will then start working on
the family, the vehicles, and the toys we wantin life. I will then finish working on my
goals that I have not finished yet.
My definition of success is working towards your own goals and achieving those
goals. Time does not matter as long as you achieve those goals.
Becoming a diesel mechanic is not an easy task. Most employers look for a degree
in diesel mechanics. Some colleges offer an associate s degree in diesel repair. I
found myself in college at Vincennes University. Once I graduate, I will never be
done with training. Every day on the job could be another training experience.
I have many passions in my life. Some are trucks, cars, atvs also known as four
wheelers, hunting, guns, building motors, and racing. I have been around all these
things all my life and I will never get away from any of them. My father brought me
into most these passions when I was very young and I have never been able to get

Slasher Informative Speech
The Slasher Film: The Modern Day Fairy Tale
General Purpose: To inform the audience about the psychological appeal of the
slasher film, a brief history of the genre, and the links to urban legends and fairy tales.
Specific Purpose: To inform the audience about direct link to morality tales and the
slasher film genre.
Thesis Statement: Slasher films are modern day morality tales, rooted deeply in
urban legends and fairy tales, as clearly depicted in John Carpenter s Halloween,
where characters are punished with violence for their risky behavior.
I.Introduction
A.When asked to describe the two types of horror films, director Guillermo del
Toro stated: Much like fairy tales, there are two facets of horror. One is pro
institution, which is the most reprehensible type of fairy tale: Don t wander into the
woods, and always obey your parents. The other type of fairy tale is completely
anarchic and antiestablishment Guillermo del Toro. (Attention Getter) In my
presentation I will focus on the aspect of the slasher film genre as modern day fairy
tales, with an underlying message of morality.
B.John Carpenter s 1978 film Halloween epitomizes the slasher films, encompassing
the most common themes of this genre, including teenagers making the transition
into adulthood by engaging in reckless behavior, a maniac using violence as a
teaching tool for the audience, a final survivor girl, and an immortal maniac. (Thesis)

Ernest Hemingway Lost Generation Analysis
The 1920s was a time of loss for the United States. After seeing countless deaths of
soldiers in a war many didn t believe in, the years after World War I were times
when people lost hope in classic principles such as bravery and courage. The Lost
Generation were people who lived through the war. Ernest Hemingwayshows major
themes of the Lost Generationthrough his stories after the war; he shows pursuit of
decadence in Hills of White Elephants, impotence through Soldier s Home, and
idealism through both stories (O Connor).
While there is always some pursuit of decadence in all people throughout the ages,
the years after World War Iwere times when hedonistic views were most prevalent.
The woman, Jig, in Hills of White Elephants says, I wanted to try this new drink.
That s all we do, isn t it look at things and try new drinks? (Hemingway 186) A
perfect example of decadence is excessive drinking; this is closely connected to
people s desire to forget about the horrors of World War I through extravagant ways
of living. Along with drinking, we could see many of the rich traveling without
purpose or direction; we see the man and Jig doing just that. The man sees their
suitcases and describes, There were labels on them from all the hotels where they
had spent nights (Hemingway 189). The amount of labels indicates they have been
traveling for a long time. The man in this short story has no intention of settling
down or ending their travels. Even with the new prospect of a baby in the picture,
we can clearly see that the man does not want to be tied down. Settling down means
facing reality. The 1920s were a time of pursuit: pursuit of decadence, which
eventually led to depravity.
While World War I led to great adventures and loss of oneself in pleasure, the
effects of the war had quite different results for others in the Lost Generation.
Instead of an excess of motivation for the finer things in life, there was a lack of
motivation for anything. Impotence affected many of The Lost Generation and
Hemingway demonstrates this theme in Soldier s Home . Krebs, the main character
of this short story, is seen just out of World War I, and back living with his family in
his hometown. Krebs no longer has

Health Issues Of The Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic has many prevalent health issues through out the country.
Some of the health issues that are common are AIDs, tuberculosis, and chikungunya.
There are also waterborne health issues preventing people from being able to drink
the water from the faucet daily without getting sick. The infancy mortality rate is
very high as well as the children being born with a diseaseor virus. There are many
health organizations trying to eliminate and lower the rates of these diseases and
viruses but there is a lack of resources. Compared to the US, some Dominican
people face a lot more deaths and disease because they lack the resources to
diagnosis their illness and to later find treatment. Over the years, the rate of AIDs/HIV
has grown to 0.8 percent. AIDs is a disease in which there is a deficiency of the
body s immunity, lowering the resistance to infection. some of the symptoms are a
severe cough, headaches, and skin rashes. If a person does not get their HIV virus
treated it will eventually lead to AIDs. Since there is a lack of resources in the

The Ineffectiveness Of Jim Crow Laws
Jim Crow laws were put into place to separate whites and blacks in as many ways
as possible. These laws denied colored people of their rights and placed colored
people s lives below whites. This essay will talk about the unfairness of Jim Crow

color. This leads to colored children not getting the education they deserve.( page

Civil Disobedience In Crito
In Crito, Socrates makes a strong claim about the existence of a social contract
amongst the state and its citizens. He believes that by choosing to live and flourish
in a society you are tactically agreeing to always follow their laws. This mutual
agreement is like an eye for an eye, the citizens obey the laws and the government
guarantees protection. In this essay, I will argue that the court s wrongful verdict
breaks the social contract Socrateshas with Athens and leaves room for civil
disobedience. By Socrates complying with his unjust sentence, he creates potential
power problems in the city of Athens.
Crito attempts to persuade Socrates, that fleeing prison is the solution to his
upcoming execution. He believes he should escape because of his unjust sentence,
children, and friends. Crito doesn t want the people of Athens to view him as a
coward because he could ve helped his friend and didn t. Money is not the problem,
and Crito belittles it in comparison to their friendship. Socrates has a family in which
he decided to bring to this world and Crito thinks he should be committed to doing
so. After his death what is going to happen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Athens is where he spent most of his life, it is where he grew up and decided to

disobeying it as immoral. Socrates thinks that his escape from prison would harm
the city of Athens and its laws. He thinks the effects will be negative such as: chaos,
defiance, and other prison breakouts. I agree with Socrates that a city is destroyed if
the verdicts of its courts have no force, but are nullified and set at naught by private
individuals (Plato, 432). We have to live in a place where good behavior is
encouraged and punishments are enforced and emphasized. This claim becomes
controversial when examining the negative effects of abiding by unjust

CORE PRINCIPLES
There are seven key principles that encompass PRINCE2. They are essentially
lessons that were derived from projects that have either gone really well or gone
poorly. The seven are:
Continued business justification
Continued business justification means to justify the use of time and resources at
every stage of the project, especially in lower levels and emphasizes the need of a
project to be aligned to the objectives of the organization. It recommends the use of
business case which elaborates the purpose of starting the project, forecasts benefits
of the project, estimates costs of the project including operational costs and timescale
of the project.
Manage by exception
Manage by exception assumes that the day to day management of stage of the project

Human Development
Human growth and development starts from the moment a child is conceived and
continues until the day we die. There are many different stages of development all
depending on the person s beliefs on how we develop. All theories explain a
specific growth and development for a specific time for an individual starting from
birth to the time of their death. Not all the theories are agreed on because they are
based on different individuals erase each and findings, and the time that the theory
was developed. In this paper we will break down three of them. The first one is the
infancy part of life and how Erik Erikson viewed the development. ... Show more

We learn to depend on other people to eat and drink, and learn to start to depend on
people.
Another stage in human growth and development is called the phallic stage. Sigmund
Freud believed this stage took place from the age of three to six years old. This is
the stage that children become more aware of the sexual regions of their bodies.
Not only do they become more self aware but also start to notice their parents and
kids around them. This helps them learn the difference in boy or girl male or
female. During this stage it is not uncommon for a child to hook them self onto the
parent of opposite sex and start a rivalry with the parent of the same sex (Garcia,
1995). Individuals who show higher levels in phallic stage of psychosexual
development fixation are more likely to develop sexually ( Sexual Compulsivity,
Promiscuity and Phallic Stage of Psychosexual Development Fixation. , 2012, para.
3).
Intimacy versus isolation is stage six in Erik Ericksons eight stages of human
development. This stage takes place from approximately 19 40 years of age
(Orlofsky, Marcia, Lesser, 1973). The big question that people face in this stage is
will I be loved or will I be alone. During this stage people start to develop more long
term relationships. Friendship, dating, marriage and family play a big role in the
happiness of this stage. This is when we leave the people that we grew up with and
start our own lives. By establishing

Co Education Essay. 020 Essay Example Co Education Quotations Thatsnotus

  • 1. Co Education Essay Writing an essay on the topic of co-education can present both challenges and opportunities for exploration. On one hand, the concept of co-education, where males and females study together in the same institution, is a multifaceted subject with historical, cultural, and sociological dimensions. This complexity can make it challenging to strike a balance between providing a comprehensive overview and maintaining a focused and coherent argument. One difficulty lies in addressing the various perspectives on co-education. Different cultures, societies, and educational systems may have distinct viewpoints, and navigating these perspectives requires careful research and nuanced analysis. Furthermore, the historical evolution of co-education and its impact on gender dynamics in educational settings adds another layer of intricacy to the essay. Crafting a well-structured and logically flowing essay is another hurdle. Organizing ideas coherently, ensuring a smooth transition between paragraphs, and maintaining a clear thesis statement throughout the essay require a meticulous approach. Additionally, striking a balance between presenting factual information and expressing personal insights or opinions can be challenging, especially given the potential for diverse viewpoints on the subject. However, despite these challenges, the essay offers an opportunity to delve into the positive aspects of co-education, such as fostering a more inclusive and diverse learning environment. Analyzing the potential benefits and drawbacks of this educational model allows for a comprehensive exploration of its implications on students, teachers, and society at large. In conclusion, while writing an essay on co-education may pose challenges due to its multifaceted nature and diverse perspectives, it also presents an opportunity for in-depth exploration and critical analysis. With thorough research, thoughtful organization, and a balanced approach, one can navigate the complexities of the topic and present a compelling essay. • 2. Comparative Advantage Of Blassa Index It is important that a country specialize in the commodity in which it poses a comparatives advantage over others. In order to identify the strong sector in the economy, the actual trade flows was analyzed. This idea was later improvised and refined by Bela Balassa and gave his famous Balassa Index. This index is commonly used in International Economics to calculate the relative advantage or disadvantage that a country poses in a certain class of goods and services. The value of the index shows the revealed comparative advantage of a country in good. The Balassa Index is fundamentally a standardized export share. Which implies that if the BI if balsa index for country A for industry j, then the index would be given as; The RCA is equal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Through the Balassa index it was found that the value of RCA for Indian pharmaceutical export is 2.61 which is more than 1 that signifies that India has a comparative advantage over ASEAN which has its RCA value less than one. Hence the Balassa index showed that India posses a higher degree of advantage in export of pharmaceuticals, thus it should specialize in this sector and generate income. Figure 3 The above figure shows the export trend of pharmaceuticals from Indian market to the world. The highest export was recorded in financial year 2015 16. Despite of the fall in subsequent year it still maintained it power in the global market. India enjoys relative advantage in this sector, which is been calculated by the Balassa index. The strength of the exports has been compared with overall export of the ASEAN. As Indian pharmaceutical sector was growing similarly the pharmaceutical sector of ASEAN was flourishing which was making it an attractive for JAPAN and United States the sales from this sector was more than 20 billion us dollar by end of the
  • 3. Uk Immigration Problem Immigration is it a problem in the UK? Yes, it is a very big problem. 46% of immigrants that move to the UK come here to claim benefits and take advantage of our free health care system, this is not okay. It is not fair that the taxpayer has to pay for immigrants to be housed and get free health care because they are too lazy to get up, go out and find a job. I welcome immigrants with open arms that actually give something back to Britain by working, but the immigrants that take advantage of Britain s benefit system should leave. An example of something that I strongly disagree with are families who enter Britain with nothing and work for just minimum wage, for example the male could do any minimum wage job and then him, his wife and children... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Research shows that 52% of crimes that have been committed in the UK are caused by immigrants why should they cause harm and offence in a country that has provided for them? I believe that if an immigrant commits any sort of crime in the UK then they should be automatically deported back to their own country with no second chance. Another point I d like to raise is that if I wanted to emigrate to a country such as Australia or New Zealand then I would have to prove to their government that I had skills and money to bring into their country before I would be considered eligible to live there on a permanent basis. This is something I totally agree with and feel is a fair system the UK government should take a leaf out of their book! Another issue I would like to make is that I find it very disrespectful for immigrants to speak to one another in their native tongue when out in public, it makes me feel very uncomfortable and anxious that they may be talking about me. I would not emigrate to another country without learning their language fluently so that I could communicate easily with everyone and show respect for their language and the gratefulness I feel for them accepting me into their
  • 4. Legal Issues Of The Lawsuit Filed By The Creditors In the lawsuit filed by the creditors in order to recover their money, there are a few legal issues. They major question here is whose assets can the creditors go after Double J Branding, Jana, or Jamal? More in depth questions that need to be answered for this lawsuit are was the limited partnership valid and was Jamal considered the limited partner at the time of the transaction? Also did the loan officer and real estate agent believe in good faith that Jamal was a general partner at the time of the transaction? Many rules are included and must be followed in order for a limited partnershipto be valid and to work properly. A limited partnership is a type of partnership that has two types of partners a general partner and a limited partner. The general partner of a limited partnership invests capital and manages the business. The general partner has unlimited liability which means they are personally liable for the debts and obligations of the limited partnership. The limited partner in a limited partnership invests capital but does not participate in management. The limited partner has limited liability, which means they are only liable for the debts and obligations of the limited partnership up to their capital contributions but they are not personally liable. The partners of a limited partnership must complete and sign a certificate of limited partnership, thus making the partnership legal and binding. An incorrect creation of a limited partnership is called a
  • 5. Bill Naughton s Play Spring and Port Wine Essay Bill Naughton s Play Spring and Port Wine How does the playwright, Bill Naughton, prepare the audience for the first appearance for Rafe on the stage? What are the audience expected to think about him? 07817966841 224 1970 In this coursework I will be focusing on a play called Spring and Port Wine . It was first performed in 1965 and is set about forty years ago. I am going to comment on how social and historical things have changed since then and how we as an audience are expected to think of the character called Rafe before his first entry in the play. At the start of the play in the stage directions we get a lot of information about what Rafe is like. We find out that he looks after his family by giving them a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You know how he likes everything to be just so . This tells us Rafe likes everything to be faultless. We are also shown that the family is to some extent frightened of Rafe when Florence says God help you if he ever finds out , and I wouldn t want to tell a barefaced lie to Rafe . This shows they are afraid of how Rafe might react if he finds out they have changed some figures in the housekeeping. As the play goes on we discover that Rafe is fussy about keeping the house clean when Daisy says Rafe always likes to come home to everything spick and span of a Friday . This tells us that he expects the house to be spotless before he comes back home from work. We also learn that Rafe likes routine as Daisy says Rafe s got this obsession about keeping accounts straight , and Rafe always liked fish on Friday . All this shows that Rafe is scrupulous about the house and money. Betsy Jane, a slovenly nosey neighbour is a useful character of telling us what the neighbours think of Rafe. We see that she is in total contrast with the Crompton family because Rafe and his family are very cautious about money but Betsy Jane is careless with money. • 8. What Effect Do Polar Bears Have On The Environment In recent decades, the global warming threat has captured the attention of the nation and the world. While the main focus began with concentrating on the effects this long term natural crisis would have on the human population, select groups have worked to approach the topic in a manner that entails prevention in order to help other animal and plant species around the globe. One such organization is the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which has played a major role in the conservation of the polar bearspecies, one of the mammals most adversely affected by the recent climate changes. As more research has been conducted regarding the polar bears, scientific name Ursus Maritimus, the conclusions have been shocking. In... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Part of the original decision to list the species as threatened came from the fact that the critical habitat of these animals had been greatly reduced due to natural and human activities. Critical habitat is defined as the area that contains habitat features essential for the conservation of a threatened or endangered species and which may require special management considerations ( Critical Habitat ). From this definition coupled with the results of numerous studies, it was found that polar bears have suffered from extreme declines in ice habitats where they carry out the majority of their lives. One study found that ice thickness has decreased by 40% during the past 30 years and the average annual extent of ice coverage in the polar region has diminished substantially, with an average annual reduction of over 1 million square kilometers (Schliebe) meaning in a comparatively short period of time the species has been subjected to substantial decreases in their environments. This habitat destruction is the major concern for the polar bear species as human activity is immensely increasing the rate at which their environments are destroyed. Not only does recent research reveal massive decreases in the area of habitats which this species occupies, but it also provides evidence that the lifestyles of these animals are being altered. With changing season lengths and temperatures, polar bears

Ozark Furniture Company uses 15 board feet of maple to make a classic maple rocker and 12 board feet of maple to make a modern maple rocker. Using y for classic rockers and x for modern rockers, the following inequality expresses the number of rockers of each type that could be made with 3,000 feet of maple or less: y 4/5x +200. 15y + 12x 3000 5y + 4x 1000 5y 1000 4x y 4/5x +200 As the picture above shows, the graph is a straight line, which moves from high on the left to low towards the right. Its intercepts are (0,200) and (250,0). The slope of the line is 4/5 The line is solid, not dashed because the figure can include the numbers on the line. It is shaded to the left and down from the line, to indicate that any numbers smaller than those on the line would be applicable. The graph only demonstrates numbers in the first quadrant, where both the x and y coordinates are positive, because it is not possible to have a negative number of rockers. Looking at the graph, one is able to get a substantial amount of information about the number of rockers that Ozark Furniture Company can produce at this time. The maximum number of rockers that it can produce is 250 rockers, and to do so all of the rockers it produces must be modern rockers. Moreover, it is limited to producing certain combinations of rockers. For example, if it produces 100 modern rockers, it can produce 120
  • 10. The Theories And Deterrence Of Criminal Punishment 1. Akers and Sellers chapter 7: Compare and contrast the predictions made by labeling theorists and deterrence theorists with respect to the utility of criminal punishment. Labeling theorists and deterrence theorists both aim to make conclusions about why people commit crimes and why people continue to commit crimes over and over again. Although they have similar end goals, the labeling theory and the deterrence theory are very different in the approach that they take to get to the end result. Deterrence theorists try to understand how punishment affects someone s desire or willingness to commit a crime. There are two different types of deterrence: general and specific deterrence. General deterrence aims to set a bar for what punishment a crime can receive. A wider population is intended to be affected by general deterrence. In contrast, specific deterrence is focused on a singular offender. Specific deterrence uses the punishment for a crime committed to convince the offender to not commit the crime again. This can be achieved through the severity of the punishment for the crime committed. Deterrence theory only attempts to explain the primary crime and the cause for the primary crime committed. Deterrence theory would say that an offender committed the crime because the punishment for the crime wasn t enough to make them not want to commit the crime. In regard to repeat or chronic offenders, the deterrence theory would say that the punishment that the offender

In the eighth century, the lands covered by what is now known as France and Belgium, as well as part of Germany made up the Frankish state ruled by the kings of the Merovingian line. The Merovingian empire was weak and in a steady decline; the majority of people in Western Europe were illiterate, the economy was facing quite the major decline and the Merovingian kings became Do Nothing Kings (Rois fainГ©ants) after the death of Dagobert 639 AD. This language renewal luckily occurred because of mistakes made by the monks of Fulda, so he forced reform by making the writings of church fathers mandatory readings, as well as the study of grammar to increase literacy among scribes, and even commoners. Charlemagne s thirst for knowledge pushed educational boundaries. This is seen in the learning of language and rhetoric via knowledge before action that was taught with the help of the Liberal Arts. He organized and centralized cultural activities and a specific curriculum to be taught at the local schools, with many provided resources to do so. He firmly believed that the teaching of Liberal Arts to the children (and even adults) was the duty of a ruler in order to create an educated empire able to flourish and truly understand the world with spiritual enlightenment. In addition to these educational reforms, Charlemagne introduced political ones. It is important to note that Charlemagne ruled a monarchical empire with the help of the aristocracy (which included relatives and friends) in order to contain power. Therefore, the Frankish Empire depended on him because he was the Minister Dei (a servant of god) for institutions, such as

Even the scorching suns pleasant rays and the sweet smelling aroma of heather and fresh cut grass failed to improve my mood that summer afternoon. After passing the signpost for Findhorn, my eyes focused on the only structure up ahead of me. The Black Swan Inn. The Inn stood out like a skyscraper in the scenic Moray countryside. With its white, spotless walls decorated with many brightly coloured hanging baskets and painted lanterns hanging from its gutters. It was a place of beauty and a place I held dear to me. The gentle breeze blowing in from the sea front, conspired to dry my tears; tears for someone I had truly loved. I stopped outside the inn and tried to remember the memories from the past. Assistant Secretary Maria Bernardita T. Flores, CESO II, Executive Director IV Nutrition History in the Making Rising from the ashes after World War II, the Philippines was a picture of great despair. Cities and towns had been burned down, farms and factories laid to waste, roads and bridges destroyed, and thousands of people massacred. Those who survived the war were forced to put up with hunger and severe malnutrition as food was devastatingly scarce. In March 1947, under the Manuel Roxas regime, the Philippine Institute of Nutrition (PIN) was created in an attempt to institutionalize a national nutrition program. This marked the country s first step at organized efforts for nutrition. However, coordination proved to be rather limited and rudimentary, and the implementation of nutrition programs was sporadic at best. Approaches to problems related to nutrition were short lived and more curative rather than preventive. PIN was later reorganized under the Carlos P. Garcia administration into the Food and Nutrition Research Center (NFRC) in 1958, and nutrition related activities coordinated by this Center were done under the National Science and Development Board (NSDB). With the aid of innovations in research and technology, nutritional problems in the country were met with a more multisectoral approach. More and more agencies representing different

Studying Family Systems Theories Over The Past Two Semesters While studying family systems theories over the past two semesters, I discovered, that all methods demonstrate validity and success, some models speak more thoroughly to my therapeutic style. The methods that I related to the most are Solution Focused and Strategic Therapy. Both techniques focus on the client s strengths and not the pathology of the problem. MRI strategic practices and techniques influenced the creators of Solution Focused Therapy, Steve De Shazer, and his colleagues. Both approaches have the ability to address familyand individual problems in a brief time frame. MRI delivers a comprehensive coverage of theory while SFT delivers a comprehensive coverage of approach (Zola, 2007). MRI believes that problems are not individually based, but instead are sustained by feedback loops and failed attempted solutions that are maintaining the problem (Cade, 1980). An MRI therapist does not define healthy or normal families; therefore asymptomatic families are viewed as a family or individual that has functioning feedback loops. When a problem behavior increases and becomes more disruptive, the family system applies positive feedback to calm the problem. However, the feedback provided, or solution , as it called, may be the incorrect solution for the problem. In turn, the feedback can either exacerbate the problem or create a new more severe issue (Rohrbaugh Shoham, 2001). SFT views that problems arise from individuals and families getting trapped in a

As a parent, you have the responsibility to create a foundation for your children so that they can meet all the challenges. As the patriarch of the family God commands them to care for and nurture a child in the way they should go. Merriam Webster Dictionary defines the word patriarchas One of the scriptural fathers of the human race or of the Hebrew people. When a patriarch completes his fatherly role, he ensures that his children feel loved and well cared for. If a father does not take care of his children, it can often lead to hardships for the children as they deal with an absent father. Patriarchy in a familyatmosphere holds significant importance in its everyday role as it can dictate how it affects the rest of the family. Men in charge of their home have numerous responsibilities when it comes to guiding their offspring. Fathers need to encourage their children while still correcting and refining them. One of the important jobs of the patriarch is to lift others up. 1 Thessalonians 2:11 12 describes a father as exhorting everyone and encouraging them in their walk with God (ESV). God s command for patriarchs to encourage a child in the way they should go in a manner worthy of Him remains one of the top roles of a father. Another significant role of a father is to discipline like it describes in Proverbs 3:11 12, My son, do not despise the Lord s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for

Hemingway expressed All current American writing originates from Huck Finn... there has been nothing as great since. It makes sense that the subjects communicated by Twain in Huck Finn resound in numerous present day works. Huck Finn is maybe a standout amongst the most examined works of the last two hundred years, and a hefty portion of its focal topics have as of now been distinguished: the everyday ones of abolitionist servitude, loss of honesty, and transitioning. It is likely that Twain was so included in and influenced by Introspective philosophy that he, if just intuitively, endeavored to spread the theory to the world. Upon close examination, it turns out to be clear that Twain uses his position as an author to

The space race was eventually resolved in an agreement in 1972. Before this agreement, each sent satellites in attempts to try to out do the other. Satellites eventually turned to manned spacecrafts, which then turned to men on the moon. Now there is the International Space Station, which is a permanently crewed and cooperative laboratory in space. All of this started with a little friendly competition between the USSR and the United States. However, despite the fun space typically is, the government should not spend any more time up in space and should spend its time trying to correct the plummeting economy and other problems here on Earth. Background In order to truly understand space exploration, it is crucial to have a strong and accurate sense of background knowledge of the space race. While I am college, I am going to be working part time. While working, I will be saving money each month and putting that money into a saving account. When I am a couple months from graduating, I will begin looking for job near my hometown. I would prefer to work in a diesel technician shop in Jackson County, Indiana. • 34. Ernest Hemingway Lost Generation Analysis The 1920s was a time of loss for the United States. After seeing countless deaths of soldiers in a war many didn t believe in, the years after World War I were times when people lost hope in classic principles such as bravery and courage. The Lost Generation were people who lived through the war. Ernest Hemingwayshows major themes of the Lost Generationthrough his stories after the war; he shows pursuit of decadence in Hills of White Elephants, impotence through Soldier s Home, and idealism through both stories (O Connor). While there is always some pursuit of decadence in all people throughout the ages, the years after World War Iwere times when hedonistic views were most prevalent. The woman, Jig, in Hills of White Elephants says, I wanted to try this new drink. That s all we do, isn t it look at things and try new drinks? (Hemingway 186) A perfect example of decadence is excessive drinking; this is closely connected to people s desire to forget about the horrors of World War I through extravagant ways of living. Along with drinking, we could see many of the rich traveling without purpose or direction; we see the man and Jig doing just that. The man sees their suitcases and describes, There were labels on them from all the hotels where they had spent nights (Hemingway 189). The amount of labels indicates they have been traveling for a long time. The man in this short story has no intention of settling down or ending their travels. Even with the new prospect of a baby in the picture, we can clearly see that the man does not want to be tied down. Settling down means facing reality. The 1920s were a time of pursuit: pursuit of decadence, which eventually led to depravity. While World War I led to great adventures and loss of oneself in pleasure, the effects of the war had quite different results for others in the Lost Generation. Instead of an excess of motivation for the finer things in life, there was a lack of motivation for anything. Impotence affected many of The Lost Generation and Hemingway demonstrates this theme in Soldier s Home . Krebs, the main character of this short story, is seen just out of World War I, and back living with his family in his hometown. Krebs no longer has

He believes that by choosing to live and flourish in a society you are tactically agreeing to always follow their laws. This mutual agreement is like an eye for an eye, the citizens obey the laws and the government guarantees protection. In this essay, I will argue that the court s wrongful verdict breaks the social contract Socrateshas with Athens and leaves room for civil disobedience. By Socrates complying with his unjust sentence, he creates potential power problems in the city of Athens. Crito attempts to persuade Socrates, that fleeing prison is the solution to his upcoming execution. He believes he should escape because of his unjust sentence, children, and friends. Crito doesn t want the people of Athens to view him as a coward because he could ve helped his friend and didn t. Money is not the problem, and Crito belittles it in comparison to their friendship. He thinks the effects will be negative such as: chaos, defiance, and other prison breakouts. I agree with Socrates that a city is destroyed if the verdicts of its courts have no force, but are nullified and set at naught by private individuals (Plato, 432). We have to live in a place where good behavior is encouraged and punishments are enforced and emphasized. This claim becomes controversial when examining the negative effects of abiding by unjust

Sigmund Freud believed this stage took place from the age of three to six years old. This is the stage that children become more aware of the sexual regions of their bodies. Not only do they become more self aware but also start to notice their parents and kids around them. This helps them learn the difference in boy or girl male or female. During this stage it is not uncommon for a child to hook them self onto the parent of opposite sex and start a rivalry with the parent of the same sex (Garcia, 1995).
