Character Sketch Of Plato
Plato was the most brilliant and famous disciple of Socrates. He was born in May–June 428/27 BC in Athens to a noble and aristocratic family. His
real name was Aristocles meaning the best and renowned. His nickname Plato was given by the term platys, because of his broad and strong
shoulders. He was very good in the study of music, poetry, mathematics and rhetoric. It was at the age of 20 that Plato met Socrates and since then was
mesmerized by him. So deep was his influence on him that he gave up the idea of becoming a poet.
In 404 BC Athens witnessed an oligarchic revolution led by Plato's relatives. Plato was very active at that time. But after the death of Critias,
Charmides and the execution of Socrates, he left Athens and became a refugee. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If we are able to understand human nature properly, we can determine proper fractions of all human beings and determine who would be the fittest to
rule. According to Plato, human behavior is influenced by three main sources: Desire(Appetite), Emotion(Spirit) and Knowledge(Intellect). These
qualities are present in all human beings, but in varying degrees. Some people are ambitious, greedy and devoted to material pursuits. They are fit
for trade and industry. Others take pride in power rather than possession. They are always inclined to fight for victory. They are combative, aggressive
rather than acquisitive; they are fit to be soldiers. Finally there are a few who delight in meditation and understanding, they desire not for goods, not
for victory, but for knowledge and learning. They find peace not in material possessions, not in power, but in realizing the truth. These are men of
wisdom who are particularly fit to rule the state.
In Plato's perfect state, each class develops its due virtues, and still traders' and soldiers' will accept the supremacy of the philosophers to achieve
harmony in the functioning of all parts of the state which is an important condition of justice. Justice is a necessary condition of human

Critical Sketch Of Waiting For Godot
"You're on earth. There's no cure for that."– Samuel Beckett.
Samuel Beckett was born on April 13, 1906, in Dublin, Ireland. He was a novelist, playwright, theatre director and poet. He received his Bachelor's
degree from Trinity College in 1927. Then in 1928, Samuel Beckett found a welcome home in Paris where he met and became a devoted student of
James Joyce. He spent most of his adult life in Paris. He wrote both in French and English and sometimes translated his own plays in English. His first
play Waiting for godot came out in 1953. This is one of his most famous plays, which is considered to be the beginning of Theatre Of The Absurd.

It took time and many mixed reviews for the audience to finally get it. When Godot was played in America, it was dismissed at first and came back
later with better advertising and new director. So by the time Endgame released, people were familiar with Beckett's work and understood it at a
better level. Beckett himself believed Endgame to be a better play, and considered it as one of his favourites. This can be understood by the correlation
between Beckett's beliefs and this play which better explains them than Waiting for

Character Sketch
Sleuth: Lester Felton
Lester Felton is the kind of person who orders the same food every time because he doesn't know what the others taste like. He's the type who
would go to the dog park on the weekends just so his dog can be more sociable. He has a love for drawing, especially when it comes to animals. It's
harder to tell what an animal is thinking if you don't pay close attention to detail.
His mother always told him to stop being picky about things in life, and that not everything is going to go his way. He always took this advice and
applied it whenever it didn't go his way, which happened often.

equally important. Six feet in height, average body with no signs of muscle. He has a charismatic personality and a friendly face. Short brown hair just
above his ears and hazel eyes on a pointed face.

Character Sketch Of Telemachus
Homer's first four books of the epic poem The Odyssey, translated by Robert Fagles, introduces a seemingly weak boy struggling with his identity,
who goes on a journey to find his missing father. During his 20 year absence, the legendary Greek king of Ithaca, Odysseus, is absent in parenting his
son Telemachus. The young prince is deeply affected by his fatherless upbringing, and thus suitors take advantage ofOdysseus's absence, infesting
Odysseus' home, eating away his legacy, all while attempting to steal away his wife, Penelope. Telemachus fails to act upon his authoritative
responsibilities on his father's behalf. Telemachus was never raised with the proper skills to become a leader, leaving him helpless in the face of
danger of his kingdom. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Homer begins his first book by introducing a young, timid Telemachus which is portrayed through his use of imagery to describe how Telemachus
reacts to the environment surrounding him. At first, Telemachus is not ready to approach his mother's suitors despite his hatred for their intrusion of
his life. He goes as far as sitting among them, regardless of his growing hate for them because he does not yet possess the bravery to tackle the issue at
hand. Homer emphasizes the conflict within Telemachus when he states "...Prince Telemachus, sitting among the suitors, heart obsessed with grief. He
could almost see his magnificent father, here in the mind's eye– if only he might drop from the clouds and drive these suitors all in a rout throughout
the halls... and rule his own domains!(1.132–137)" Telemachus never truly grew up, he still believes his kingdom is his father's domain, forgetting
that Odysseus has been gone for 20 years . In reality Telemachus has the obligation to rule as the man of the house and the heir to the throne, instead he
mopes and does nothing more than wish for his father to come back. Homer uses personification while

Character Sketch Of Beowulf
Graham Campbell
Mr. Smith
English III
November 5, 2017
Hey Mr. Smith ;)
Beowulf literally translates to Bear Wolf to show how heroic and great he truly is. Beowulf starts his adventure by detaching a monster's arm from his
body using his bare hands. This event is only the beginning to an epic story full of battles and gallant adventures. The people that created the story of
Beowulf did so to entertain, but this also displays what they value most about a hero. Beowulf is courageous, gives back to his people, and inspires his
people.
Beowulf possesses unnatural strength and is not afraid of anything. He hears of Grendel plaguing Hrothgar's kingdom and people and he volunteers
to travel across the sea to the land of the Danes to find Grendel and stop his reign of terror. He proves his bravery when he declares that he will travel
across the sea to fight Grendel. "In his far–off home Beowulf, Higlac's Follower and the strongest of the Geats–greater and stronger than anyone
anywhere in this world–Heard how Grendel filled nights with horror And quickly commanded a boat be fitted out, Proclaiming that he'd go to that
famous king. Would sail across the sea to Hrothgar." (Lines 99–115) Beowulf says that he will go to a country where he has never been and has no ties
to just to rid them of a monster that was causing them trouble. And none of his people object to this decision because they know that he will erase
Grendel and have no problem doing it. The creators of this story place

Character Sketch Of Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh was the king of Uruk; in the epic he is described as an arrogant, selfish, powerful king that cannot be compared to anyone as an equal
because of his beauty, size and strength. Though he was handsome, strong and a god among people, he cared little for the well being of his people in
the contrary he felt that he needed to sleep with a man's wife before the husband. Odysseus the hero from the book The Odyssey was the ruler of Ithaca.
He was one of the most conspicuous Greek leaders that fought at the Trojan War. He was known for his bravery and unique way of fighting, he was
feared and respected. His return home turned in to an unforgettable journey as he struggled to return home because he pissed off the Gods. Odysseus
and his men took so long to find their way home because Zeus had become angry with the Greeks and pushed them off course, making it difficult for
them to return back to Ithaca. By the time he returned home to his wife, Odysseus had been away for 20 years, the war had taken ten years and the
journey home had taken another ten.
Gilgamesh was a very arrogant person and at times that arrogance led him to have little to no compassion for the people of Uruk. He was their king
but he did not protect his people, most feared him. He felt like he was superior to others due to the fact that he was two–thirds god, which is the key to
all of his actions. This is also what sets him apart from the hero Odysseus. Gilgamesh changed his ways as a leader throughout his

Character Sketch Of Tolstoy
2–Tolstoy's Character. Tolstoy was a multi
–dimensional man. In his long career he had been a teacher and educational theorist, a philosopher and
social critic, a successful farmer and paterfamilias, a soldier, and a prophet. Above all, however, he was a great artist, and it is on his fiction that his
fame at present rests. The literary career of this "great writer of the Russian land" (as his contemporary Turgenev called him) may be divided into
three parts: the early period of literary apprenticeship (1851–63), the period of the great novels (1863–77), and the later period of preoccupation with
the message of his religious teaching (1878–1910). The works of the early period may be regarded as the "school" in which Tolstoy taught himself to

His account focuses heavily on both sides' tactical successes and failures – from maneuvers in battle to how they handled occupied territory. Before the
French surrender, Pierre's brush with execution becomes a cutting satire of French bureaucracy, which functions so badly that Pierre is nearly
executed simply because a general was interrupted while he was deciding Pierre's sentence. However, the Russians also become objects of Tolstoy's
critique. He depicts disorganization and a lack of professionalism on both sides. The French failures are not limited to their ineffective bureaucracy.
"Since the battle of Borodino and the looting of Moscow," Tolstoy writes, "the French army had borne within itself, as it were, the chemical conditions
of its decomposition" Napoleon and his generals seem to have good intentions they order their men not to loot and treat the Russians they meet
respectfully. However, the privation and lack of discipline in the French army means that the foot soldiers eagerly and violently loot Moscow at their

Character Sketch Of Padre Pino
Padre Pio (Francesco Forgione) was destined to Giuseppa and Grazio Forgione, in the little cultivating town of Pietrelcina, Italy on May 25, 1887. In
spite of the fact that the Forgione's were poor in material products, they were unquestionably rich in their confidence life and in the affection for God.
Indeed, even as a young man, Francesco had just hinted at unprecedented endowments of elegance. At five years old, he committed his life to God.
From his initial adolescence, he demonstrated a momentous memory of soul and an affection for the religious life. His mom depicted him as a
peaceful kid who, from his most punctual years, wanted to go to chapel and to ask. As a young man, he could see and speak with, his watchman
blessed messenger as well as with Jesus and the Virgin Mary. In his straightforwardness, Francesco expected everybody had similar encounters. Once a
lady who saw his otherworldly attitude asked him, "When did you sanctify your life to God? Was it at your first Holy Communion?" and he replied,
"Always,Daughter,Always."
At the point when Francesco was fifteen years of age, he was admitted to the novitiate of the Capuchin Order of the Friars Minor in Morcone, Italy. He
was respected by his kindred understudies and in addition by his Superiors for his model conduct and his profound devotion. One of the beginners
expressed, "There was something which recognized him from alternate understudies. At whatever point I saw him, he was constantly modest,

getting what they wanted. After the performance, the actors answered a question about the sexist blowback they have faced after starting their group.
In what has become an all too frequent response, the women talked about how they have had people question how they can be successful without
being particularly attractive, and how, because of the stereotypes that women are not cut out for comedic work, they feel they have to be 5 times better
than their male counterparts to receive the same attention. Despite these obstacles and bumps along the way, these women persevered, and continued
their comedic performances, and that is the lesson to be learned. If women are able to fight their way onto the comedy scene as these women did, it is
time we realize that they are just as deserving of opportunity as any man, and time that we stop trying to prevent their progress. I personally was very
impressed with the tenacity and fight of these women in obtaining their goals, and after attending this event, I further realize that although we say
everyone has equal opportunities in modern day America, this is still not the

How To Write A Forensic Investigation Essay
Abstract Law enforcement agencies have relied on forensic art as one of their investigation methods for many years. The job of a forensic artist is
quite difficult because he or she must reconstruct an image of an individual based on just hearsay and memory from another individual. The purpose of
this study is to research forensic artists, also known as sketch artists, and their ability to draw up a suspect through the information provided by a
witness. Interviews on two different forensic artists provide insight of the duties and hardships a law enforcement sketch artist takes on. The process of
how law enforcement sketch artists are able to recreate the face of another individual, and how that picture can be a very useful piece of evidence for
crime reports will also be addressed throughout the study. This study is relevant to anthropology because it touches on how how an individual
perceives those around them and forensics itself is also one of the key topics discussed in biological anthropology.
Statement of the Research Question Sketch artists are capable of reconstructing the faces of suspects by either the detailed information (or lack of
detailed information) given to them by those who were at the scene of the crime, which is quite a challenging task to do. The overall questions I want
to address and answer are how accurate are the artist's sketches and whether or not TV shows and or movies accurately depict the everyday life of a
forensic artist.

Character Sketch Of Oedipus
Sophocles' Oedipus is a standout amongst the most surely understood grievous legends ever. His bizarre destiny drives him to terrible destruction that
leaves both the peruser and the gathering of people feeling candidly influenced. As indicated by the meaning of the Greek thinker, Aristotle, Oedipus'
troublesome story qualifies him as a sad legend. Oedipus is the epitome of Aristotle's portrayal of a shocking saint through his capacity to safeguard his
excellence and intelligence, in spite of his defects and scrape. The Aristotelian perspective of an unfortunate saint does not uncover the absence of
ethical quality or even the fiendishness of the hero, in view of a blunder of judgment. The disaster and show so consummately fit the Aristotelian
attributes of Oedipus. Thinking about Aristotle's meaning of a terrible legend, it can be discovered that Oedipus fits the character depiction flawlessly
through different qualities that he shows and the starting point of his appalling fall: There stays then the man who involves the mean amongst piety
and debasement. He isn't additional customary in uprightness and nobility but then does not fall into terrible fortune as a result of insidiousness and
fiendishness but since of some hamartia of a kind found in men of high notoriety and favorable luck, for example, Oedipus and Thyestes and acclaimed

talked Kalypso into letting Odysseus leave her island. It has also come to attention that Hermes has an outstanding choice of words. Kalypso had not
planned on allowing Odysseus leave because of her love for him. That is why Zeus sends Hermes with important institutions to talk her into it. With

Why Drawing Is Drawing
A person can have many skills, whether it be good or bad. Someone could paint really well or could be a disastrous cook. There are many common
skills such as doing underwater handstands and then there are skills that are absolutely out of the blue, for example bending their index finger
backwards down the wrist. My skill isn't too common though it isn't very unique either. My skill isn't painting or cooking, or even having strangely,
stretchy fingers. My skill is drawing. Drawing is one of my passions, because it is a good stress reliever and it can help express emotion. Drawing is
very useful for when I'm upset and need something to boost my moralemood and is comforting for just a normal, rainy day activity. I especially
draw especially when I'm bored or trying to pass time. Some people agree, and find drawing fun, but others may find it frustrating or boring. I enjoy
drawing because it lets me work at my own pace. I casually sketch, whether it be for a novel or just a plain doodle, I find a way to maneuver it into
random pieces of work. I could be working on notes, and sooner or later have a mural on the sides of the paper. This is funny considering that when I
get an actual sketching pad, the sketches look horrible, but on a sheet of scratched up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I will admit, drawing is hard when you first attempt it, but drawing is made up of building blocks. You start out with a pencil sketch, and start
adding new edits and textures to make it more and more vivid and detailed. I don't usually color drawings because they look better to me in mono,
but that gives me a chance to make the tiny details in the drawing a lot bigger. Drawing may come as a gifted skill to some people where they can
draw perfectly when a pencil is given to them, but I find it hard to believe that without practice, a magnificent piece of art can be

Reflective Essay On Art
The day was December 30th it was a chilly day when a young artist named Betty Edwards walked into her first class on art. I was walking alone a week
prior after meeting up with some of my students that I tutor when I got a call from my old art professor. I took me back to when I started learning
the wonder and culture behind art. After taking his course for half a year I gave up on art my levels of motivation dropped and I felt like I just
couldn't do it. During our talk he recommended to a small coffee shop that offered art lessons for all levels of artist. Today December 30th the day
before New Year's Eve was my first course at the coffee shop almost in the smack center of nowhere of New York. Every time the door would open
you could hear the cars simultaneously rush by even if we were in an alleyway. In all their were a total of 20 students who registered for the art
lessons only 19 showed up. Some of them beginners some of them looked like their art was meant for a gallery. We all brought one thing to represent
us and our art I brought an unbelievably small cat drawing that looked horrendous compared to the other artists. The instructor walked in and handed
out construction paper and a pencil. Little did I know this would relate to our lesson. The 20th student walked in late with no representation of his art
he came in with a notebook and himself. His name was Sam and he was my artnet for the next four weeks. We started our lessons the instructors first

Character Sketch Of The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby, during what people called the "jazz age" or "roaring 20's", there was one man with one desire, his name was Jay Gatsby. Nick
Carraway (the narrator) is the complete opposite of Gatsby, Nick is reserved and quiet, he doesn't flaunt what he has, but rather he is the only one
observant enough to truly get to know Gatsby. Nick from the start sees Gatsby's as a guy that has a presence you come across once in your life and
Gatsby's undeniable hope is something he's never seen in anyone, he knew Gatsby for who he really was and not the rumors. Gatsby was the greatest
and the worst thing for Nick Carraway to come across. It all started with an invitation from Gatsby himself inviting Nick to one of his extravagant
parties. Nick ended up attending but felt very out of place as he described in the book ".....I slunk off in the direction of the cocktail table–the only
place in the garden where a single man could linger without looking purposeless and alone"(pg 42). This shows that he wasn't familiar with anyone
at the party he had seen so far. He had been asking around where Mr. Gatsby was but it seemed that no one had met him or knew much but only what
they have heard about him. It was Nicks mission to met Gatsby and thank him for the invite. Finally Nick ran into a man and started to discuss how he
seemed to be the only person invited to the party, and that he wishes that he could find the host because nobody seemed to know him. A few seconds

Character Sketch Of Celie
The Color Purple by Alice Walker

Alice Walker was greatly influenced by the time period of the 1940's. There was much racism and oppression during that time, especially for black
women. Women were beaten and abused simply because of their colour and gender. It is one of the most groundbreaking novel of hers set mainly in
rural Georgia in 1930s. The book tells the story about a young African–American woman named Celie and her struggle for empowerment in the world
marked by racism, sexism and patriarchy. Alice Walker created a unique voice of her protagonist Celia.

the South because she is poor, she is black, and she is female. As a female she is abused by her father and by her husband, for she lives in a patriarchal
social system that does not value a female except as a sexual object and a labourer. From early in the novel, Celie looks for ways to stand up for this
unfair system. It is Shug who teaches her about her own self–worth, making her believe in herself. As a result, she finally leaves Albert, her abusive
husband, and goes with Shug to make a life of her own. By the end of the novel, she has built a successful business, largely because she never gave in
to the reality of her life, but searched for the truth beyond it.

I managed to find a positive one. This adjective would be loving. This is to say not that he is loving, but he has the potential to. I believe that because
Catherine does not marry him, and the ways that other people treats him causes him to turn into an undesirable person. If he were treated better and
things favored him more, I think he could have turned out to be a loving person. This quote shows that he at least had the potential to love: "Two
words would comprehend my future – death and hell: existence, after losing her, would be hell. Yet I was a fool to fancy for a moment that she
valued Edgar Linton's attachment more than mine. If he loved with all the powers of his puny being, he couldn't love as much in eighty years as I
could in a day," (Chapter 14). If only things had gone better what might have been. In conclusion Heathcliff is mostly associated with negative
descriptors; although, if one looks hard, they might could find something that resembles something good. I believe that

Jane Eyre
Biographical Sketch Charlotte Bronte was born in Thornton, Yorkshire in 1816, to Patrick and Maria Bronte. Maria died five years later and left the
care of her six children to her unpleasant aunt, Elizabeth Branwell. Within a few years, Charlotte's older sisters, Maria and Elizabeth, died from
tuberculosis due to a typhoid outbreak at the Cowan Bridge School. The school also largely represented the Lowood Institution in Bronte's novel, Jane
Eyre. Charlotte completely despised Cowan Bridge School, and she bashed the academy for its "harsh religious doctrine and unsanitary conditions"
(Shuttleworth). Bronte expresses her dreadful experience at Cowan Bridge School in Jane Eyre, where Jane also endures harsh treatment at the
Lowood Institution. However, Bronte mitigated the dreadfulness in her novel since pamphlets were published defending the school and its
proprietors. Charlotte's father rarely communicated with her and her siblings, and they also had little contact with the outside world. As a result, the
children would spend their time creating imaginary stories on tiny sheets of paper. Charlotte created a fantasy realm called Angria, which was ruled
by the Duke of Zamorna. He was supposed to be an evil man who was "ruled by strength of will and feeling and easily conquered women," yet women
could not resist their uncontrollable attraction towards him (Encyclopedia of World Biography). In fact, Jane Eyre's Rochester

If we are able to understand human nature properly, we can determine proper fractions of all human beings and determine who would be the fittest to rule. According to Plato, human behavior is influenced by three main sources: Desire(Appetite), Emotion(Spirit) and Knowledge(Intellect). These qualities are present in all human beings, but in varying degrees. Some people are ambitious, greedy and devoted to material pursuits. They are fit for trade and industry. Others take pride in power rather than possession. They are always inclined to fight for victory. They are combative, aggressive rather than acquisitive; they are fit to be soldiers. Finally there are a few who delight in meditation and understanding, they desire not for goods, not for victory, but for knowledge and learning. They find peace not in material possessions, not in power, but in realizing the truth. These are men of wisdom who are particularly fit to rule the state. In Plato's perfect state, each class develops its due virtues, and still traders' and soldiers' will accept the supremacy of the philosophers to achieve harmony in the functioning of all parts of the state which is an important condition of justice. • 10. Character Sketch Of Gilgamesh Gilgamesh was the king of Uruk; in the epic he is described as an arrogant, selfish, powerful king that cannot be compared to anyone as an equal because of his beauty, size and strength. Though he was handsome, strong and a god among people, he cared little for the well being of his people in the contrary he felt that he needed to sleep with a man's wife before the husband. Odysseus the hero from the book The Odyssey was the ruler of Ithaca. He was one of the most conspicuous Greek leaders that fought at the Trojan War. He was known for his bravery and unique way of fighting, he was feared and respected. His return home turned in to an unforgettable journey as he struggled to return home because he pissed off the Gods. Odysseus and his men took so long to find their way home because Zeus had become angry with the Greeks and pushed them off course, making it difficult for them to return back to Ithaca. By the time he returned home to his wife, Odysseus had been away for 20 years, the war had taken ten years and the journey home had taken another ten. Gilgamesh was a very arrogant person and at times that arrogance led him to have little to no compassion for the people of Uruk. He was their king but he did not protect his people, most feared him. He felt like he was superior to others due to the fact that he was two–thirds god, which is the key to all of his actions. This is also what sets him apart from the hero Odysseus. • 13. Character Sketch Of Tolstoy 2–Tolstoy's Character. Tolstoy was a multi –dimensional man. In his long career he had been a teacher and educational theorist, a philosopher and social critic, a successful farmer and paterfamilias, a soldier, and a prophet. Above all, however, he was a great artist, and it is on his fiction that his fame at present rests. The literary career of this "great writer of the Russian land" (as his contemporary Turgenev called him) may be divided into three parts: the early period of literary apprenticeship (1851–63), the period of the great novels (1863–77), and the later period of preoccupation with the message of his religious teaching (1878–1910). The works of the early period may be regarded as the "school" in which Tolstoy taught himself to write. He isolated the themes and developed the literary... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before the French surrender, Pierre's brush with execution becomes a cutting satire of French bureaucracy, which functions so badly that Pierre is nearly executed simply because a general was interrupted while he was deciding Pierre's sentence. However, the Russians also become objects of Tolstoy's critique. He depicts disorganization and a lack of professionalism on both sides. The French failures are not limited to their ineffective bureaucracy. In spite of the fact that the Forgione's were poor in material products, they were unquestionably rich in their confidence life and in the affection for God. Indeed, even as a young man, Francesco had just hinted at unprecedented endowments of elegance. At five years old, he committed his life to God. From his initial adolescence, he demonstrated a momentous memory of soul and an affection for the religious life. In what has become an all too frequent response, the women talked about how they have had people question how they can be successful without being particularly attractive, and how, because of the stereotypes that women are not cut out for comedic work, they feel they have to be 5 times better than their male counterparts to receive the same attention. Despite these obstacles and bumps along the way, these women persevered, and continued their comedic performances, and that is the lesson to be learned. If women are able to fight their way onto the comedy scene as these women did, it is time we realize that they are just as deserving of opportunity as any man, and time that we stop trying to prevent their progress. The job of a forensic artist is quite difficult because he or she must reconstruct an image of an individual based on just hearsay and memory from another individual. The purpose of this study is to research forensic artists, also known as sketch artists, and their ability to draw up a suspect through the information provided by a witness. Interviews on two different forensic artists provide insight of the duties and hardships a law enforcement sketch artist takes on. The process of how law enforcement sketch artists are able to recreate the face of another individual, and how that picture can be a very useful piece of evidence for crime reports will also be addressed throughout the study. This study is relevant to anthropology because it touches on how how an individual perceives those around them and forensics itself is also one of the key topics discussed in biological anthropology. Statement of the Research Question Sketch artists are capable of reconstructing the faces of suspects by either the detailed information (or lack of detailed information) given to them by those who were at the scene of the crime, which is quite a challenging task to do. His bizarre destiny drives him to terrible destruction that leaves both the peruser and the gathering of people feeling candidly influenced. As indicated by the meaning of the Greek thinker, Aristotle, Oedipus' troublesome story qualifies him as a sad legend. Oedipus is the epitome of Aristotle's portrayal of a shocking saint through his capacity to safeguard his excellence and intelligence, in spite of his defects and scrape. The Aristotelian perspective of an unfortunate saint does not uncover the absence of ethical quality or even the fiendishness of the hero, in view of a blunder of judgment. The disaster and show so consummately fit the Aristotelian attributes of Oedipus. • 30. Why Drawing Is Drawing A person can have many skills, whether it be good or bad. Someone could paint really well or could be a disastrous cook. There are many common skills such as doing underwater handstands and then there are skills that are absolutely out of the blue, for example bending their index finger backwards down the wrist. My skill isn't too common though it isn't very unique either. My skill isn't painting or cooking, or even having strangely, stretchy fingers. My skill is drawing. Drawing is one of my passions, because it is a good stress reliever and it can help express emotion. Drawing is very useful for when I'm upset and need something to boost my moralemood and is comforting for just a normal, rainy day activity. I especially draw especially when I'm bored or trying to pass time. Some people agree, and find drawing fun, but others may find it frustrating or boring. I enjoy drawing because it lets me work at my own pace. I casually sketch, whether it be for a novel or just a plain doodle, I find a way to maneuver it into random pieces of work. We can all remember the strange things he liked to eat, like oysters and Kipper Snacks. He loved Tabasco sauce and would add it to everything, seriously– everything. But, he not only liked to eat food, he loved to cook it. He had become an amazing cook. He made turkey and oyster dressing for the Hill Family Thanksgiving a couple of years ago and raised the bar for all Thanksgivings to come. He regularly cooked prime rib dinner for the Erickson family on Christmas Eve. Lisa said he could spend 25 minutes picking out a steak. He loved to cook, but he especially loved to cook for his siblings. While Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Ryan and Aunt Megan and Uncle Shawn were attending BYU, Ryan would invite them over regularly for Sunday dinner and a game of Sequence, until I decided to choke on a game piece, and dad had to stick his finger down my throat to make me throw up. We will miss his good cooking. Ryan started working for PMG in 2002. This was the start of a very successful career in sales. He quickly moved up and became the top salesperson at the company, which later changed its name to Prosper. Most recently, he was leading a sales team at Property23. He was good at what he did ... • 32. Reflective Essay On Art The day was December 30th it was a chilly day when a young artist named Betty Edwards walked into her first class on art. I was walking alone a week prior after meeting up with some of my students that I tutor when I got a call from my old art professor. I took me back to when I started learning the wonder and culture behind art. After taking his course for half a year I gave up on art my levels of motivation dropped and I felt like I just couldn't do it. During our talk he recommended to a small coffee shop that offered art lessons for all levels of artist. Today December 30th the day before New Year's Eve was my first course at the coffee shop almost in the smack center of nowhere of New York. Every time the door would open you could hear the cars simultaneously rush by even if we were in an alleyway. In all their were a total of 20 students who registered for the art lessons only 19 showed up. Some of them beginners some of them looked like their art was meant for a gallery. We all brought one thing to represent us and our art I brought an unbelievably small cat drawing that looked horrendous compared to the other artists. The instructor walked in and handed out construction paper and a pencil. Little did I know this would relate to our lesson. The 20th student walked in late with no representation of his art he came in with a notebook and himself. His name was Sam and he was my artnet for the next four weeks. We started our lessons the instructors first words where ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Character Sketch Of The Great Gatsby The Great Gatsby, during what people called the "jazz age" or "roaring 20's", there was one man with one desire, his name was Jay Gatsby. Nick Carraway (the narrator) is the complete opposite of Gatsby, Nick is reserved and quiet, he doesn't flaunt what he has, but rather he is the only one observant enough to truly get to know Gatsby. Nick from the start sees Gatsby's as a guy that has a presence you come across once in your life and Gatsby's undeniable hope is something he's never seen in anyone, he knew Gatsby for who he really was and not the rumors. Gatsby was the greatest and the worst thing for Nick Carraway to come across. It all started with an invitation from Gatsby himself inviting Nick to one of his extravagant parties. Nick ended up attending but felt very out of place as he described in the book ".....I slunk off in the direction of the cocktail table–the only place in the garden where a single man could linger without looking purposeless and alone"(pg 42). This shows that he wasn't familiar with anyone at the party he had seen so far. He had been asking around where Mr. Gatsby was but it seemed that no one had met him or knew much but only what they have heard about him. It was Nicks mission to met Gatsby and thank him for the invite. Finally Nick ran into a man and started to discuss how he seemed to be the only person invited to the party, and that he wishes that he could find the host because nobody seemed to know him. A few seconds later Nick felt the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This adjective would be loving. This is to say not that he is loving, but he has the potential to. I believe that because Catherine does not marry him, and the ways that other people treats him causes him to turn into an undesirable person. If he were treated better and things favored him more, I think he could have turned out to be a loving person. This quote shows that he at least had the potential to love: "Two words would comprehend my future – death and hell: existence, after losing her, would be hell. Yet I was a fool to fancy for a moment that she valued Edgar Linton's attachment more than mine. If he loved with all the powers of his puny being, he couldn't love as much in eighty years as I could in a day," (Chapter 14). If only things had gone better what might have been. • 42. Character Sketch Of Jane Eyre Lily Ren AP Lang, Period 5 December 2, 2017 Jane Eyre Biographical Sketch Charlotte Bronte was born in Thornton, Yorkshire in 1816, to Patrick and Maria Bronte. Maria died five years later and left the care of her six children to her unpleasant aunt, Elizabeth Branwell. Within a few years, Charlotte's older sisters, Maria and Elizabeth, died from tuberculosis due to a typhoid outbreak at the Cowan Bridge School. The school also largely represented the Lowood Institution in Bronte's novel, Jane Eyre. Charlotte completely despised Cowan Bridge School, and she bashed the academy for its "harsh religious doctrine and unsanitary conditions" (Shuttleworth). Bronte expresses her dreadful experience at Cowan Bridge School in Jane Eyre, where Jane also endures harsh treatment at the Lowood Institution. However, Bronte mitigated the dreadfulness in her novel since pamphlets were published defending the school and its proprietors. Charlotte's father rarely communicated with her and her siblings, and they also had little contact with the outside world. As a result, the children would spend their time creating imaginary stories on tiny sheets of paper. Charlotte created a fantasy realm called Angria, which was ruled by the Duke of Zamorna. He was supposed to be an evil man who was "ruled by strength of will and feeling and easily conquered women," yet women could not resist their uncontrollable attraction towards him (Encyclopedia of World Biography).
