A man unconsciously finds himself attracted to another man/woman , but consciously finds this attraction flatly unacceptable.
To manage the anxiety arising from this conflict, he over-acts the part of the straight or macho man(Very typical of our Hindi Cinema),
Going out for beer party with others
Speaking in a gruff voice,
Peppering his speech with loud profanities(Socially Offensive language),
Banging his fists on the counter,
Flirting conspicuously with others and so on.
Embarrassments usually result from accidental behaviors that lead you to feel negatively about yourself--even when you had no intention of violating a social standard. It is easy to remember a unique embarrassing situation, since embarrassments are so commonly experienced, and, unfortunately, so well remembered.

Exasperation may be considered as a fundamental, natural and useful and probably productive human response.
It’s not just deep in our roots; it is our roots.
Those who discard it express with edicts like “don’t get snarky,” or “don’t call names” or “don’t interrupt me.”
Though against our will we have proliferated endless repertoire of ways to say “I’ve had it. I won’t go along with that.”
Exasperated way to express “nope,” in many words and gestures--subtle or blatant branch like tree roots.
Exasperation with things that get in our way is how we stand our ground rooted in our aspirations, commitments, beliefs and values.
When our roots get in each other’s way, we’re likely to get exasperated and then exasperated with each other’s exasperations.
Then we try to block each other’s exasperations by imposing seemingly rock-solid moral bans on one or another form exasperation takes.

These are essentially schemas for solutions (West, Toplak, & Stanovich, 2008).

A downplayer is a word that is inserted in a sentence that undermines something that is being discussed. Let’s take a look at two
sentences that mean the same thing in their deepest structure, but that have radically different connotations due to one word.
“Brent got a B on his exam.”
“Brent only got a B on his exam.”
By inserting the word “only,” the person saying sentence two has downplayed Brent’s achievement. Most people would be
happy, or at least satisfied, with a grade of B on an exam. However, the second sentence seems to diminish Brent’s
accomplishment by indicating that a grade of B on the exam does not meet his or her expectations of Brent. You can think of
downplayers as using scare quotes “” in verbal language. Let’s look at some more examples.

the teacher’s pedagogy. Be on the lookout for the use of downplayers. Do not let anyone downplay accomplishments by using
disingenuous words. Always remind yourself of the facts. If Brent got a B on a difficult organic chemistry exam, then one should
give credit where credit is due and not try to discredit his accomplishment in a devious manner.
Ridicule
Ridicule occurs when someone tries to cast suspicion on another by making fun of the person or personally embarrassing the
person in front of others. We are often told that this form of interaction is a high school phenomenon, but most of us realize
that this form of interaction can occur at any time, and often in the most inappropriate contexts.
Employee to Boss: “According to the research that our team put together, it seems that a marketing campaign targeted towards
18-35 year old women would be in the best interests of the company.”

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

And, if you are not compassionate enough to tip them out, they will probably die within this 'safe space'. The fleas' ability to jump high did not change - but their willingness did. And that's what determines the difference. And this is pretty much the method of our own programming too, isn't it
11. Famous I.Q. Experiment In this field experiment, all the children in a primary school were used as subjects. Each grade, or year, was split into three streams (above average, average, and below average). The experimenters told the teachers at the school that they were going to administer an intelligence test that would determine which children would be academic "bloomers". These children would stand the greatest chance of becoming academically bright in the future. 20% of children in each of the 18 classes were chosen at random and labeled as bloomers . Their classroom teachers were told that these children were bloomers and therefore stood a good chance of becoming quite academic, when in fact, on average, the children would have been no different in academic ability than the rest of their classmates. After eight months the test was administered again to all of the children and the IQ gains were calculated . It was found that the children who had been labeled bloomers had significantly higher gains in IQ . The greatest gains were seen in the youngest children, grades one and two.
