The document outlines key considerations for developing effective tutorial software: it should provide extensive interactivity, thorough user control, appropriate pedagogy with logical sequencing of lessons/examples/exercises, adequate feedback capabilities, appropriate graphics that support topics, and record keeping of student progress. While drill software reinforces concepts, tutorial software allows self-paced learning but may contradict constructivism by delivering direct instruction instead of hands-on learning. Developing high-quality tutorial software is challenging due to difficulties in programming, inclusion of suitable graphics, and determining what/how to teach and sequencing of lessons.

Most training investment is wasted because over 80% of knowledge and skills gained are not applied on the job. Learning events alone cannot achieve improved workplace performance; organizations must supplement training with tools that encourage and measure learning transfer back to the workplace. ASK's approach of Engage, Learn, Transfer addresses this "transfer problem" by preparing learners and gaining manager support before training, using varied learning methods, and providing ongoing support through coaching to help apply new skills on the job.

This document summarizes a study on the effectiveness of training programs in the Malaysian public sector. The study evaluated training programs using Kirkpatrick's four levels of evaluation and factors affecting transfer of training. Survey results found that participants were generally satisfied with trainings and learned skills, but that trainings were not always effectively transferred to job performance due to lack of management support, budget constraints, and work priorities taking time away from applying new skills. The study concluded trainings could be improved by better supporting employees in applying new knowledge and evaluating the impact of trainings on organizational results.
This presentation describes the e-learning basic concepts; identify the main benefits of e-learning vs. classroom training; try to give some clues about how to integrate both types of training; gives a short description of specific e-learning technology; and finally, introduces the idea of closing "loop" integrating e-learning with knowledge management.
eStudyAcademy is an e-learning portal that provides innovative solutions for modern businesses. It offers several advantages over traditional classroom learning such as allowing learners to learn at their own pace and reducing travel time. Studies show e-learning can save 35-45% of learners' time compared to classroom learning. The portal provides interactive learning modules, quizzes, exercises and mentored support to enhance the learning experience. Administrators have full control over learner progress, accounts and issuing exams.
Supervisors play a major role in developing teacher competence through staff development programs. These programs must focus on improving instruction and enhancing staff skills to meet organizational goals. Effective staff development encompasses all activities that promote professional growth, from pre-service education through in-service training. When developing staff training, districts should assess needs, involve stakeholders, set objectives, and evaluate outcomes to continuously improve instruction.
