• WE can describe zoom fatigue as “the
result of continuously turning system
one (cheap) brain activities into
(exhausting) system two ones.

System 1 is the quick, always active, portion of the brain.
It’s great in pattern matching, but not exactly smart.
System 2 is responsible for deeper thinking, but
consumes a lot more energy. When the energy is depleted
we fall back to system 1 without noticing.
