Personal Narrative Of A Baseball Player
It was the last games of the baseball season. We had are worse pitcher pitching for our team. And they
had an ok pitcher pitching. We got to the semi finals and our coach was going nuts. I was in the locker
room getting ready for the game and my teammates Austin and Tevan were right next to me also
getting ready they were one of the best players on the team.
After our coach gave us a pep talk about the game and trying to get us hype for the game on Saturday.
Then we grabbed our bats and gloves and was getting ready to go on the field. We were about to come
out of the tunnel but the coach said let s go get them.
Then we ran out of the tunnel and I was all hyped and then we ran over to the dugout and got ready
then we went on the field and started to stretch. And our pitcher was in the pitching bow warming up
his arm. And finally we started to play the game we were up first to bat. And I was batting fourth on
the team which means I am clean up hitter in baseball. The first batter on the team Reed walked and
the second grounded out to shortstop and reed was out at second but tevon was safe at first. Our third
batter Austin hit a single to move up the batter into scoring position. Then I came up and I was so
nervous I had the butterflies in my stomach. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And that ended in a strikeout. I banged the bat on the ground and then I walked into the dugout and
soutdown. The our assistant coach talked to me and told me to relax see the ball and swing nicely.
Then I got my glove and went to shortstop but that whole enning no balls came to me and the other
team hit a homerun with a guy on second

Medication Errors And The Efficiency Of Medication...
McComas, Riingenm and Kim (2014), conducted a study that investigated the occurrence of
medication errors and the efficiency of medication administration following the implementing an
eMAR system. The study was conducted in an appropriate setting and all observed nurses volunteered
for the study. Before implementing the eMARs mandatory class were provided and nurses were
evaluated for competency. Data was collected by observation and nurses were randomly followed
throughout a medication pass. Collected data consisted of medication errors, distractions during
medication pass and amount of time spent administering medications.
The results of this study was that the percentage of medication errors decreased following the
implementation of eMARs. Although medication errors were decreased, the authors found that the
eMAR system decreased efficiency and disturbed workflow. The authors state that factors such as
missing medications, preparing medication at the bedside, and distractions contributed to this and are
factors that can be improved. The author s identified the presence of several limitation in the study.
The use of one individual to collect data created a possibility of bias and the observation of nurses
may have affected the behaviors of the nurse. Also, the authors state that the study was not a cause and
effect study and was only conducted on one unit which decreased the generalizability of the study.
According the hierarchy of evidence for intervention studies, this

Gettysburg Why Was It A Turning Point Essay
The Battle of Gettysburg: Why Was It a Turning Point?
July 1, 1863, the bloodiest battle on American soil was just beginning, this battle would be known as
The Battle of Gettysburg. This three day battle commenced with Confederate attack led by General
Robert E. Lee, on the north of the small town of Gettysburg. Union President, Abraham Lincoln had
appointed George Meade as Union commander to counter coming attacks in Gettysburg. This battle
would involve other Confederate attacks, ending with a final Union blow on July 3. The final attack
by the Union was nicknamed as Pickett s Charge . This final Union charge led to a Confederate
retreat, most likely because the Confederates lost many of their soldiers. This begs the question: Why

In the beginning of the Civil War the Confederates clearly had the advantage, all the Confederates had
to do was defend their land. This made the Confederates look most likely to win the Civil War,
however, after the Battle of Gettysburg, the Union had the advantage. The four main reasons:
geography of the major battle campaigns, estimated casualties at the Battle of Gettysburg, and the
battle s aftermath showed this. The geography showed how this battle was the last battle shown in the
North. The estimated casualties showed that there were significant losses on both sides but the South
suffered a lot more. Union President Lincoln also told how the Union was affected because of this
battle.

Immunizations
In most all schools across the United States, immunizations are required for children entering
elementary, middle school, high school and even entering some colleges. Immunizations are believed
to protect children and even adults from infectious diseases. These immunizations help people protect
themselves and even others from these infections spreading to cause an epidemic, even a pandemic at
the worst. Many people stand with immunizations and believe that everyone should get the ones
required before entering the education system. Immunizations are great to prevent yourself and others
from getting diseases that could affect them for a lifetime. Vaccines such as the HPV can help prevent
infections caused by HPV which could then later on lead

Self Concept Clarity Paper
Article #2: Self concept clarity Across Adolescence
Introducing the idea of open communication, this article arrives at the conclusion that geater self
concept clarity is associated with numerous indicators of adjustment, and possibly promoted by
adolescents open communication with parents (Morloes, Dijk Dijk). Further stating issues with self
concept clarity growth may result in amplified internalizing difficulties in adolescence, such as
depressive and anxiety symptoms (Morloes, Dijk Dijk).
Three Aspects of the Article That Were Meaningful and Relevant
It is through this article that I was presented the structural components of one s self concept are
assumed to have unique anticipated for emotional adjustment that is separate from the sway of content
components, so the knowledge and evaluative properties of self concept (Morloes, Dijk Dijk). Thus,
regardless of whether one has the tangible data to prove such, self concept is believed to impact one s

A second piece of meaningful as well as surprising information comes in the form of reflecting and
coming to truly recognize the how the above process takes place during adolescents interactions with
their parents as stated in the article (Morloes, Dijk Dijk). Therefore, the development of the self may
be partially founded through parent child interactions, particularly when parents are actively listening
and supportive of their child s perspectives (Morloes, Dijk Dijk). Finally, is becoming aware of what
of the possibility that adolescence open communication or lack thereof linked to aspects of emotional
well being including symptoms of depression (Morloes, Dijk Dijk). Thus, reinforcing the argument
that greater open communication with parents can protect against symptoms of depression among
other internalizing conditions (Morloes, Dijk

What Did The Choice Of Nation Building And Reconciliation...
To what extent did the choice of nation building and reconciliation help South Africa avoid a pending
civil war from 1990 1994
INTRODUCTION
The early 1990s in South Africa marked the start of a process leading to the official end of an
oppressive and discriminatory apartheid regime. The period was characterised by sporadic bouts of
political intolerance and indecisiveness leading to clear moments of political frustration between the
opposition (the minority parties like National Party, AWB, Freedom Front Plus) and the liberation
forces (African National Congress (ANC) the Pan African Congress (PAC) and the South African
Communist Party (SACP)),and at times, violence and bloodshed. The commitment to ending this
political strife paved ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
INVESTIGATION
Before the early 1990s, South Africa was an Apartheid state governed by the National Party. The
country was governed by the white people, who segregated the white minority from the black majority
as well as the black people ethnically. It was not before the late 1970s/early 1980s that civil resistance
began to rear its head against the discriminatory and oppressive Apartheid government, forcing the
government to make reforms. These reforms lead to increased civil resistance within communities,
and later pressure both internally, through increased civil resistance by making the state ungovernable,
and externally, through economic sanctions and isolation, for the abolishment of the Apartheid. The
deadlock between the liberation movements and the oppressors, along with the external pressures,
pressurized the National Party into compromising with the leading liberation movement African
National Congress. In February 1990, the then president of South Africa, President F. W De Klerk
announced the unbanning of the liberation movements Pan African Congress, African National
Congress and South African Communist Party, following the unbanning, was Nelson Mandela s
release which marked the start of the transition period from 1990 1994. South Africa was cloaked with
a cloud of violence leading towards the transition period in attempt to create an ungovernable

The Vespasian Dynasty
The Flavian emperors took power during the Flavian dynasty, which was a roman imperial dynasty
that rose to power around 69 AD. During a civil war a ruler named Vitellius became emperor but
many eastern tribes and legions didn t like the idea and wanted their leader Vespasian to rule. After a
battle the war was tilted to the Flavians side and when they entered rome the senate declared
Vespasian emperor. This started the Flavian dynasty, which was the time period where three Flavians
ruled: Vespasian, Titus, and Domition. Vespasian s rule started in 69 but not much is known about it.
Once he arrived in Rome he left immediately on a campaign to promote his dynasty and that s when
he visited Egypt and many other countries. He spent a lot of

Kathryn Howard Research Paper
Kathryn Howard was the daughter of Lord Edmund Howard, a younger brother of Thomas Howard,
Duke of Norfolk. She was also first cousin to Anne Boleyn. Kathryn came to court at about the age of
19 as a lady in waiting to Anne of Cleves and there was no doubt that the spirited young girl caught
Henry s attention. Sixteen days after he was free of Anne, Henry took his fifth wife, Kathryn Howard,
on July 28, 1540. Henry was 49 and his bride was no older than 19. King Henry lavished gifts on
Kathryn and called her his rose without thorn and the very jewel of womanhood . Less than a year into
Kathryn marriage the rumors of her infidelity began. In a way, one couldn t blame her for seeking the
company of handsome young men closer to her age. But for that to happen even only in courtly
flirtations, was dangerous for a Queen, especially one who came from a powerful family with a lot of
enemies. By November 1541, there was enough evidence against the Queen that Archbishop Cranmer
informed the King of Kathryn s misconduct. At first Henry did not believe the accusations, but he
agreed to allow further investigations into the matter. There was enough evidence and ... Show more

Video On Underage Drinking
The video on underage drinking further highlighted information that I was already aware of. Over the
last several years, I have seen multiple news stories covering the Midwest s drinking problem.
According to Bustle.com, Lincoln was found to be one of the top ten drunkest cities in America. This
doesn t come as much of a shock to me. Drinking is part of Nebraska s culture. Small Nebraska towns
are full of drinkers; even minors are allowed to participate. Even though I am from a small town, I
didn t drink until I was in college, and even then I did so in a responsible manner. My family and
friends never encouraged or participated in drinking, so I never really felt the need to. However, the
same can t be said for many of my high school peers.

Importance Of Domestic Commitment

Title
Sometimes, war is inevitable, and nations are forced to fight due to various reasons. This requires
countries to have a strong military which can withstand the forces of other nations. This is measured
mostly in times whereby a nation needs to defend itself from external attacks. Military personnel and
equipment play a significant role in measuring the strength of a nation. Also, another important
parameter is the economy of a country which determines the ability of the government to channel
more funds or resources to the military. These funds are used to pay wages of the armed forces and
purchase sophisticated weapons among others. However, domestic commitment is very crucial during
the times of war. This refers to the general willingness of state s elite population to settle the costs of
war (Lecture Note 5). If the citizens of a country are behind their military and are ready to finance its
operations during the times of war, then the military feel motivated to defend their country. Also, it
ensures that there are enough resources to be used in war. The costs of war include direct costs,
damages, duration, and the necessity of preparation for war. Direct costs consist of conscription, debt,
and taxation. This means that there is a relationship between domestic commitment and conscription.
Therefore, this paper will seek to discuss the significance of domestic commitment in explaining the

Character Analysis Of Richard Wright s Native Son
Richard Wright composes the short story How Bigger Was Born to explain why he wrote the novel
Native Son. He expresses his experiences, thoughts and feelings in the short story, which further leads
to the creation of the novel. Wrights expressions and ideas correspond to the events that occurred in
the novel and I consider my thoughts compatible with fulfillment. The short story, How Bigger Was
Born , is the foundation of the character Bigger Thomas and his told life. In How Bigger Was Born ,
Wright tells of a memory he has of something he once read. Lenin turned to Gorky and, pointing, said
Here is their Big Ben. There is their Westminster Abbey. There is their library (page 5 paragraph 6).
The significance of this memory is to demonstrate that the two men felt as though there were not
living in a world of their own, they felt they were just a part of someone else s universe. This supports
the novel because Bigger has similar feelings to the two men in Wright s memory. In a discussion
between Bigger and Gus, they are talking about life and wondering what it would be like to not live on
their side of the line. Bigger then goes on to state: They got things we ain t. They do things and we can
t. It s just like living in jail. Half the time I feel like I m on the outside of the world peeping in through
a knothole in the fence... (Wright 20). I feel as though Wright used Bigger to portray his memories,
therefore supporting the short story. Bigger went on to

one who can see the Tropic of orange. In page (11 12) Yamashita describes Rafaela as a metaphorical
mother for the tropic. Rafaela became the only one that has a care taker and attentive observer of the
orange. But the question is why it is Rafaela, being a mother of the line? Being a mother of a small

Rafaela that she is the only one that can see the tree, she describe the tree as an invisible tree for all the
characters except for Rafaela. She also said that Rafaela can stay under this tree for hours looking at it,
and talking to it as a human.

1. What specific part of the kidney does the dialysis tubing represent? What is the function of this
part?
It represents the part of the kidney that acts like a semipermeable membrane, the nephrons. The
nephrons are made of membranous tubules that act analogously to the semipermeable dialysis bag.
When blood passes through the tubules, particles in the blood leave the tubule by the process of
diffusion.
2. What does the yellow food color represent at the end of the experiment? What does the Congo red
represent?
The Congo red solution is used to mimic blood and the yellow food color mimics the excretory
product of the kidney. When a mixture of Congo red, yellow food color and water were mixed and
taken in a dialysis bag, the yellow food color diffuses out into the surrounding water in which the
dialysis bag is suspended. At the end of the experiment, the contents in the dialysis bag represent the
blood; the contents of the beaker represent the urine formed. The beaker has a slight yellow tinge that
results from the yellow food color.
3. Why is it important for the kidney to filter

Avant-Galsch Art Expressionism
During the nineteen forties and fifties, the art economy in America exploded after several of the artists
that previously lived in Europe flooded into New York because of the immense damage in Europe
from the second world war.
The most influential Art Critic of the 20th century, Clement Greenburg argued that art with any sort of
illusionistic representation or reference was regressive art because it gives an audience the answers
right away and lacks authenticity. Any work that had a connection to popular culture, that everyone
understood, and was inherently enjoyed was called kitsch . Kistchy art was also a threat to Greenburg
and other critics because it could easily be used to control the masses. Any government or authority is
able to pluck out any iconography that a society is fond of, and use it to control the them with slanted
political messages.
Avant Garde art asks questions that people can t answer right away, and Greensburg states that an if
audience has to think about the meaning then art is kept alive. In his essay Avant Garde and Kitsch
(1939), Greenburg states that painting should be a sensuous experience about paint on canvas, color
relationships and texture. Abstract Expressionism would be the first Avant Guarde movement to
emerge out of North America. This movement was about gestural paint strokes, and artists realizing
physic depth of the unconscious mind. Greensburg was a huge advocate for this movement, but as art

Does Phyllis Wheatley use religious references to warn her readers about slavery and sin and its

Throughout the poem, To the University of Cambridge, in New England , Phyllis Wheatley suggest
that she accepted the colonial idea of slavery, by first describing her captivity, even though this poem
has a subversive double meaning that has sent an anti slavery message. Wheatley s choice of words
indicates that her directed audience was educated at a sophisticated level because of the language

Wheatley is trying to subversively express that the Lord will be gracious enough to deliver the slaves
from the dark abodes , or bad treatment as he did the Egyptians in biblical times. Throughout the first
stanza of the poem, Phyllis Wheatley challenges the reader s morals by referencing the bible right off
the bat.
Wheatley continues with her double meaning subversive language and tells her readers to, scan the

Above, to traverse the ethereal space,
And mark the systems of revolving worlds.
She is telling her readers to use their imaginations and be able to think past what is going on in the
world. When Wheatley uses the words ethereal space , it makes the readers think of an unearthly place
that allows them to mark or mock the systems of revolving worlds which allows them to shun the
systems that goes on in their world such as slavery and be able to think of other ways of living such as
not being enslaved.
As the poem progresses, Wheatley describes the gospel to her readers which includes the good news
about salvation. She

Partnerships are usually inexpensive and easy to form. II. General partners have unlimited liability for
all debts. The general partnership is terminated when a general partner dies or withdraws. It is difficult
for a partnership to transfer ownership without dissolving. The advantage is the cost of getting started.
The disadvantages are: 1) unlimited liability, 2) limited life of the enterprise, and 3) difficulty of

Grimm Brothers Cinderella
In the famous story of Cinderella, what do you think is the theme or main lesson of Cinderella? The
theme of Cinderella is bad people never succeed and good people will always prevail. The Grimm
Brothers Cinderella presents the theme of the Cinderella Archetype the best. The three different
examples that best present the theme in Grimm Brothers Cinderella are a bird takes out both of the
stepsisters eyes for mistreating Cinderella poorly, making fun of Cinderella and not giving her a dress

If you were to compare Charles Perrault with the Grimm Brothers they both wrote in the beginning
that the stepsisters treat her poorly but in the end it is different because in the Grimm Brothers the
sisters get consequences from birds. In the Charles Perrault Cinderella they forgave Cinderella for all
of their wickedness and Cinderella accepts the apologization and gives them lodgings in the palace
and 2 lords of the court. Only in the Grimm Brothers Cinderella, she has to pick up lentils that her
stepsisters throw down for her to pick up. The Charles Perrault Cinderella difference that was stated
affects the theme because since the sisters apologized to Cinderella she gave them a lodging and 2
lords which disagrees with the theme a little bit because the theme states that bad people never
succeed. The first part doesn t work because the stepsisters didn t get a consequence in the Charles
Perrault. In the Grimm Brothers one they did and in the Charles Perrault they got to live in the palace.
Thatt is kind of like succeeding so that crosses out that bad people never succeed but the good people
succeeding still works because in the end Cinderella gets married in both stories. The Cinder Maid and

Research Paper On Airplanes
World War was had been the first major conflict that saw use of the newly invented airplane.
Newspapers filled with stories of daring pilots, valiantly taking down the opposing Luftwaffe. Ace
became a term for a pilot who successfully shot down at least five enemy aircraft; however there were
a special few pilots who far surpassed this and went down in history as the top aces. America s Ace of
Aces was Eddie Rickenbacker who throughout the war won twenty six aerial victories, and earned the
Medal of Honor for taking on seven German planes by himself, downing two (Sherman). Coming in
second was Frank Luke Jr. with 14 enemy balloons and four enemy planes. He was known as the
Arizona Balloon Buster and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his last victory, when
he shot down three balloons while taking fire from eight planes, then, as he was going down, he

artillery was the cause of seventy percent of the casualties during the war. The balloon was so valued
strategically that when airplanes had become more developed, their greatest contribution was
attacking and defending the balloons. Balloons were such valued targets that they were greatly
defended by anti aircraft guns and allied planes. As Rickenbacker remarked about how the Balloon

People have written short stories for hundreds of years; however it was not until the 19th century that
they really became popular. Short stories were the ideal form for writers who wanted to earn some
immediate money and reach a wide audience. As more people were given the chance of receiving

It shows how the relationship between an oppressive husband and his submissive wife pushes her
from depression into insanity. At first she does not like the room and its horrid wallpaper but soon she
becomes intrigued by its patterns and what lurks behind them.
The third story The Adventure of the Speckled Band is a typical murder mystery story. Sherlock
Holmes is presented with a baffling set of circumstances from which he deduces the facts and reveals
the villain. All three stories are common in that they are written in the first person singular. This has
the effect of engaging the reader and making him feel part of the unfolding tale.
Conan Doyle uses this technique in writing The Speckled Band . His story revolves around the
character of the detective, Sherlock Holmes, however it is told as seen through the eyes of his
companion, Dr
Watson, providing a good example of writing in the first person.
The Signalman is told in first person narrative; which makes the story extremely personal, meaning
that the reader becomes more involved in the story and it feels like it is actually happening at the same

Charles Dickens also uses dialogue to reveal the account of the haunting and I believe he does this to
make it even more personal still. The Yellow Wallpaper is written almost in a diary form. Reading it
you feel as if you are in the woman s head as she makes notes in her journal. All three are

Banning Performance-Enhancing Drugs By Athletes
Doping refers to the use of banned performance enhancing drugs by athletes. PEDs or performance
enhancing drugs are substances that are used to improve any form of activity performance in humans
such as strength, endurance, and speed. The use of PEDs, or doping, are banned in most athletic
governing bodies, including the International Olympic Committee (IOC), The National Football
League (NFL), The National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB), and etc.
Some PEDs include anabolic steroids, human growth hormones, blood doping, stimulants, gene
doping, and etc. Athletes use performance enhancing drugs to aid in their athletic performance and
gain an unfair advantage against opponents who do not use those drugs. Doping is ... Show more

Since professional players engage in doping, many young athletes have also engaged in doping. There
has been a rise in teen doping cases in the pasts years; as Stephanie McPherson states that, According
to a national survey released in 2014, 11 percent of students in ninth through twelfth grades admitted
to having used synthetic HGH without a prescription (McPherson 79). These young athletes want to
reach the highest level of the pros, so they want to emulate in the doping behavior because they
believe that they must use performance enhancing drugs to succeed. Doping also encourage young
people to not engage in competitive sport. As Gerdes explains that, Anti doping officials insist that
performance enhancing drugs hurt not only the image of competitive sports but the athletes as well
(Gerdes 15). These athletes in the pros that engage in doping are just very bad role models for the
young athletes that are coming up. That is very bad for young athletes because it has a negative impact
on the image and the sport

Social Injustice In Executive Order 13769
Due to variance in opinions, people more often disagree than agree on social and political
controversies. Social injustice occurs when these disagreements lead not to civil discourse but instead
the oppression of those with opposing ideas. President Donald Trump s new Executive Order 13769 is
one of the most recent social injustices that has been caused due to his presidency. It has affected an
estimated 90,000 people and has caused huge protests worldwide (Kessler). With the use of unfair and
religion based treatment that violates both the Constitution s establishment clause and the Geneva
Conventions mandate against denying refugees asylum, Trump created a controversial problem that
produced a divide between not only American citizens, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All he has done since then is keep his word, ensuring his support across his fan base. Donald Trump
thrives in the entertainment industry, which gives him headlines and publicity and cheering crowds
across America, and he has only brought those entertainment tactics to his role as a president ruling by
fear.
There are no social injustices that go without affecting the public, and Executive Order 13769 has
impacted many people not only in our nation, but also in the periphery, in many different countries
around the world. The victims of this social injustice are primarily those from the seven countries,
especially Muslims, but anyone who has put their faith in American idealism will experience the
fallout from this destruction of our constitutional values. When it comes to accepting refugees now,
the White House is essentially prioritizing Christians over Muslims from the Middle East. In fact, in
an interview with the Christian broadcasting network a few days after the immigration ban was
instated, Donald Trump claimed he would favor Christian refugees as an exception to the executive
order (Yulas). People with dual citizenship are being affected now as well by not being able to travel
freely outside the country without worry they may not be allowed to return. A specific victim of this
injustice, Thon Maker, a rookie on the Milwaukee Bucks, is a native of Sudan, one of the seven
countries that Trump has banned for travel (Reports). The National Basketball Association is now
concerned with Maker s ability to travel with his team to Toronto for future games (Reports). The
immigration limitation not only affects people living in the seven countries, but also those who care
about upholding our values and human rights

Talent Planning Within an Organisation

attracting, screening, and selecting a capable person for a specific job. This short report will look at
factors which may affect recruitment within an organisation, different recruitment and selection
methods, workforce diversity and the induction process. When attracting talent the approach of
organisations can differ entirely depending on certain issues such as: Funding this controls all aspects

Hiring an agency to fill a position can be quicker and less work for the business as the agency carryout
the recruitment process to meet the needs and specification set by the business. The agency is
responsible for finding the right person so they are going to send only the best as they want to keep a
good reputation. Headhunters are useful when trying to fill a more complex role such as an area within
engineering as people trained to carry out the specific task may be far fewer. A headhunting company
will know who and where to find the right person. They act quickly, carryout negotiations and like an
agency want to impress the company they are working on behalf of. Inductions are a type of training
given as an initial preparation upon a new employee joining the organisation. It often contains
information dealing with the layout of the firm or its hierarchy, health and safety measures and
security systems. An introduction to key employees and teams, gives an impression of the organisation
s culture and can display the attitude and some expectations required of the individual by the
company. This is important for both the employer and employee as it sets the tone and boundaries for
both parties. If correctly done an effective induction can save time and

Jane Fonda Workouts And The Richard Simmons Dvds
Forget the Jane Fonda workouts and the Richard Simmons DVDs if you want to get in shape just turn
on the Barry White and do what comes naturally. It turns out that healthy sex has benefits that go well
beyond simply burning calories, and can improve your physical, mental, and emotional well being.
Although many of these benefits are seemingly obvious, few people have taken the time to think about
them. As Joy Davidson, PhD, a New York psychologist and sex therapist, said in an interview with
WebMD Of course, sex is everywhere in the media. But the idea that we are vital, sexual creatures is
still looked at in some cases with disgust or in other cases a bit of embarrassment. So to really take a
look at how our sexuality adds to our life and enhances our life and our health, both physical and
psychological, is eye opening for many people. Scientists have been studying the physiological effects
of sex presumably one can only study the feeding habits of fruit flies for so long and their studies have
shown a wide range of benefits both obvious and surprising. Of course these studies all looked at safer
sex within committed relationships, thus avoiding the many health risks associated with more casual
encounters. Among the many benefits: 1. That Healthy, Happy Glow: Researchers at the Royal
Edinburgh Hospital wanted to test the theory that regular sexual activity creates a noticeable
improvement in one s appearance. A group of volunteers were asked to guess the ages

This quote is expressed by Mr. Lockwood whose point of view the reader follows in this novel. This
quote is in regards to Heathcliff, his landlord, who presides over Wuthering Heights and is described
to be a dark skinned gypsy with an alluring and mysterious aura. This quote is emblematic of
Heathcliff s character, and the many layers that will come to be revealed of his complex and confusing
nature. The quote expresses that his reserve springs from an aversion or strong dislike to showy
displays of feelings and that he ll love and hate both equally but only behind closed doors, in public,
he declares it lack of respect to be shown or regarded with any emotion. An oxymoron is used in this

We got to the semi finals and our coach was going nuts. I was in the locker room getting ready for the game and my teammates Austin and Tevan were right next to me also getting ready they were one of the best players on the team. After our coach gave us a pep talk about the game and trying to get us hype for the game on Saturday. Then we grabbed our bats and gloves and was getting ready to go on the field. We were about to come out of the tunnel but the coach said let s go get them. Then we ran out of the tunnel and I was all hyped and then we ran over to the dugout and got ready then we went on the field and started to stretch. And our pitcher was in the pitching bow warming up his arm. And finally we started to play the game we were up first to bat. • 3. Medication Errors And The Efficiency Of Medication... McComas, Riingenm and Kim (2014), conducted a study that investigated the occurrence of medication errors and the efficiency of medication administration following the implementing an eMAR system. The study was conducted in an appropriate setting and all observed nurses volunteered for the study. Before implementing the eMARs mandatory class were provided and nurses were evaluated for competency. Data was collected by observation and nurses were randomly followed throughout a medication pass. Collected data consisted of medication errors, distractions during medication pass and amount of time spent administering medications. The results of this study was that the percentage of medication errors decreased following the implementation of eMARs. Although medication errors were decreased, the authors found that the eMAR system decreased efficiency and disturbed workflow. The authors state that factors such as missing medications, preparing medication at the bedside, and distractions contributed to this and are factors that can be improved. The author s identified the presence of several limitation in the study. The use of one individual to collect data created a possibility of bias and the observation of nurses may have affected the behaviors of the nurse. Also, the authors state that the study was not a cause and effect study and was only conducted on one unit which decreased the generalizability of the study. In the beginning of the Civil War the Confederates clearly had the advantage, all the Confederates had to do was defend their land. This made the Confederates look most likely to win the Civil War, however, after the Battle of Gettysburg, the Union had the advantage. The four main reasons: geography of the major battle campaigns, estimated casualties at the Battle of Gettysburg, and the battle s aftermath showed this. The geography showed how this battle was the last battle shown in the North. The estimated casualties showed that there were significant losses on both sides but the South suffered a lot more. To what extent did the choice of nation building and reconciliation help South Africa avoid a pending civil war from 1990 1994 INTRODUCTION The early 1990s in South Africa marked the start of a process leading to the official end of an oppressive and discriminatory apartheid regime. The period was characterised by sporadic bouts of political intolerance and indecisiveness leading to clear moments of political frustration between the opposition (the minority parties like National Party, AWB, Freedom Front Plus) and the liberation forces (African National Congress (ANC) the Pan African Congress (PAC) and the South African Communist Party (SACP)),and at times, violence and bloodshed. INVESTIGATION Before the early 1990s, South Africa was an Apartheid state governed by the National Party. The country was governed by the white people, who segregated the white minority from the black majority as well as the black people ethnically. It was not before the late 1970s/early 1980s that civil resistance began to rear its head against the discriminatory and oppressive Apartheid government, forcing the government to make reforms. These reforms lead to increased civil resistance within communities, and later pressure both internally, through increased civil resistance by making the state ungovernable, and externally, through economic sanctions and isolation, for the abolishment of the Apartheid. The deadlock between the liberation movements and the oppressors, along with the external pressures, pressurized the National Party into compromising with the leading liberation movement African National Congress. In February 1990, the then president of South Africa, President F. W De Klerk announced the unbanning of the liberation movements Pan African Congress, African National Congress and South African Communist Party, following the unbanning, was Nelson Mandela s release which marked the start of the transition period from 1990 1994. Kathryn came to court at about the age of 19 as a lady in waiting to Anne of Cleves and there was no doubt that the spirited young girl caught Henry s attention. Sixteen days after he was free of Anne, Henry took his fifth wife, Kathryn Howard, on July 28, 1540. Henry was 49 and his bride was no older than 19. King Henry lavished gifts on Kathryn and called her his rose without thorn and the very jewel of womanhood . Less than a year into Kathryn marriage the rumors of her infidelity began. In a way, one couldn t blame her for seeking the company of handsome young men closer to her age. But for that to happen even only in courtly flirtations, was dangerous for a Queen, especially one who came from a powerful family with a lot of enemies. • 11. Importance Of Domestic Commitment Seungmin Bang (A98407092) POLI 142 K Professor Magana September 6, 2017 Title Sometimes, war is inevitable, and nations are forced to fight due to various reasons. This requires countries to have a strong military which can withstand the forces of other nations. This is measured mostly in times whereby a nation needs to defend itself from external attacks. Military personnel and equipment play a significant role in measuring the strength of a nation. Also, another important parameter is the economy of a country which determines the ability of the government to channel more funds or resources to the military. These funds are used to pay wages of the armed forces and purchase sophisticated weapons among others. However, domestic commitment is very crucial during the times of war. This refers to the general willingness of state s elite population to settle the costs of war (Lecture Note 5). If the citizens of a country are behind their military and are ready to finance its operations during the times of war, then the military feel motivated to defend their country. Also, it ensures that there are enough resources to be used in war. The costs of war include direct costs, damages, duration, and the necessity of preparation for war. Direct costs consist of conscription, debt, and taxation. This means that there is a relationship between domestic commitment and conscription. Therefore, this paper will seek to discuss the significance of domestic commitment in explaining the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He expresses his experiences, thoughts and feelings in the short story, which further leads to the creation of the novel. Wrights expressions and ideas correspond to the events that occurred in the novel and I consider my thoughts compatible with fulfillment. The short story, How Bigger Was Born , is the foundation of the character Bigger Thomas and his told life. In How Bigger Was Born , Wright tells of a memory he has of something he once read. Lenin turned to Gorky and, pointing, said Here is their Big Ben. There is their Westminster Abbey. There is their library (page 5 paragraph 6). The significance of this memory is to demonstrate that the two men felt as though there were not living in a world of their own, they felt they were just a part of someone else s universe. This supports the novel because Bigger has similar feelings to the two men in Wright s memory. In a discussion between Bigger and Gus, they are talking about life and wondering what it would be like to not live on their side of the line. Bigger then goes on to state: They got things we ain t. They do things and we can t. It s just like living in jail. Half the time I feel like I m on the outside of the world peeping in through a knothole in the fence... (Wright 20). • 15. Avant-Galsch Art Expressionism During the nineteen forties and fifties, the art economy in America exploded after several of the artists that previously lived in Europe flooded into New York because of the immense damage in Europe from the second world war. The most influential Art Critic of the 20th century, Clement Greenburg argued that art with any sort of illusionistic representation or reference was regressive art because it gives an audience the answers right away and lacks authenticity. Any work that had a connection to popular culture, that everyone understood, and was inherently enjoyed was called kitsch . Kistchy art was also a threat to Greenburg and other critics because it could easily be used to control the masses. Any government or authority is able to pluck out any iconography that a society is fond of, and use it to control the them with slanted political messages. Avant Garde art asks questions that people can t answer right away, and Greensburg states that an if audience has to think about the meaning then art is kept alive. In his essay Avant Garde and Kitsch (1939), Greenburg states that painting should be a sensuous experience about paint on canvas, color relationships and texture. Abstract Expressionism would be the first Avant Guarde movement to emerge out of North America. This movement was about gestural paint strokes, and artists realizing physic depth of the unconscious mind. Greensburg was a huge advocate for this movement, but as art bleed into everyday life ...
